Impact (Twisted Hearts Love Story #4) by Autumn Sand – Review by Stefanie Carney

Impact (A Twisted Hearts Love Story book 4)Impact by Autumn Sand
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Impact is a story about the life that got away and how we cope with it. It was full of emotions and it definitely kept me flipping pages to see what would happen next. I felt like I was there watching this whole storyline happen and I love that about Autumn Sand, she is talented for sure. I think the thing I liked most about this story is the tension and angst, it was so palpable. I have read this author before and with each book I dive into, I see another perspective on the world in which we live. I think it takes a lot to fully transport a person into another’s reality and I believe this book does that really well.

I have read almost every book that this author has written so I was really excited to find out she had a new standalone coming out and I couldn’t wait to get my hands on it and as I expected it didn’t disappoint at all!
Unraveled had everything I love in a book in it – romance, humour, emotion and more! I was hooked from the very beginning and I didn’t put it down until I had read that very last word. Ms Bondurant has such an easy going writing style that it is so easy to fall into her books, her characters are easy to fall in love with and I absolutely fell in love with Layla and Kellan. Their story was such an emotional one and I truly took them both into my heart.
I really don’t want to give away too much of the story in this review so all I can really say is you should absolutely one click this book today – I don’t think you will be disappointed at all. Ms Bondurant has weaved a beautiful tale with two equally as beautiful characters!
As always I am looking forward to reading more from this author again in the future!

Beachcomber Enemy: a Romantic Thriller (Beachcomber Investigations Book 10) by Stephanie Queen – Review by Bobbi Wagner

Beachcomber EnemyBeachcomber Enemy by Stephanie Queen
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is the tenth book in this series, my favorite yet. I enjoy how the author through her creative writing skills makes me feel as if I am right there with the characters. This is a sitting on the edge of your seat book in parts that make the story pop to life. Dane and Shana are great characters that I have enjoyed reading about. In this book they go on the run as they are the targets of someone who is out to get them. I highly recommend reading the next installment of this series.

Beachcomber Enemy is yet again another action packed and entertaining read by Stephanie Queen. I honestly though after all these books I might be a little fed up of Shana and Dane but absolutely not! I absolutely adore these two characters and everything that goes on in their lives! I think the author does an amazing job in creating different stories for them in each book and she absolutely still has my 100% attention! I feel like I saw a different side to Dane in this story too which was great it clearly shows that even now the characters are continually developing and I’m still learning about them. Alongside Shana and Dane there were some great secondary characters, especially Ronnie! It was nice to see how his character had developed form the last time he appeared in a story!
I am definitely looking forward to reading more from Stephanie Queen again in the future!

I loved this book! This is a well written, creative story that I couldn’t put down until the last page. The characters, Layla and Kellan are connectable and really pop of the pages. They made the story come alive on top of the emotional ride it takes you on. Layla thought she had it all under one day one word was said, now she finds herself going back home. Who knew that a one night stand could grow into something more. This is has some emotional times as well as humorous, it is a must read.

Whew!! I am exhausted..this book..Oh my word…You know how there’s times when you feel like you need a good cry? Well pick this book up and you’ll get the good, the bad and the ugly cries all out of the way in one fell swoop.

I’m not sure where to start with this review so I may jump around a bit…This one hit every feel, and it wasn’t an easy ready and I knew it would not be from page 1, this subject has touched my life and I would normally back away and not read this book but then in comes this author who I already love and admire and just draws me in and took such care in how she handled the writing in this entire story, it was beautiful and it might sound weird but I felt protected while reading and that is just one reason this author is so amazing.

I found myself staring at nothing at times while reading catching myself asking those hard questions that a person never even wants to think about and then would jump back in and literally could not put this book down till I finished. On the other side of the coin I found myself smiling a lot and even laughed out loud a few times and found another favorite book boyfriend…SIGH… Everyone needs a Kellan, I fell head over heels quickly.

This book took my breath away and filled me with so much hope and although the road was a bit rough and frustration took over a few times I can not imagine not reading this story and so glad I have it to read again. You must read this book…It was absolutely amazing!!

Well done Miss Bondurant and Thank you!

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Crafting Love is the first book in the Wine and Furniture series by A. E. Gamrat. This wonderfully written romance was a great read and I loved each and every character that was introduced in this book. I loved that the book drew me in and I was able to finish the book in one day.
Kelly is a small town girl and she loves it! She loves her job, she loves her friends and LOVES her circuit!! One night out with friends, life changes when Kirk enters her life. She is attracted to him right away and then when he offers to help her fix her basement, a friend forms between them both.
Kelly and Kirk drew me into the story, but the other characters pulled me into the series and I am excited to see where this goes. I give this this book 5 stars and cant wait to read more in the series.

Winging It (Destiny Rules Series Book 1)Winging It by Lisa Gail Green
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Winging It was such a wonderful and entertaining read – I absolutely loved every minute of it! The author had created a relay magical feel to the story and I loved her world building. Her writing style was very creative and at times it felt like I was watching what I was reading. The pace of the story was really good, fast enough that I didn’t get bored but not too fast that it felt rushed. I thought that Zach was a great character, he felt really relatable and typical for his age! It did give the story this realistic feel at times with how the author had thought and developed Zach as a character.
I can see this story being enjoyed by both YA and other readers alike – I think there is something for everybody and it is a story that I highly recommend! I am really looking forward to reading the next book in the series!

Crafting Love was another very enjoyable read by an author who I really love! I’ve got to be honest who wouldn’t want a Kirk in their life! He was just the best! I loved everything about him! I thought that Kelly and Kirk made the cutest couple ever! The story Crafting Love (Wine & Furniture Series Book 1) by A.E. Gamrat is a wonderful book that I enjoyed reading. The story drew me in and I didn’t want to put it down until I had finished the final page. I loved reading about Kelly and Kirk. She is a strong and independent woman. She is someone who loves to stay busy so her full-time job and her crafting allow her to do just that. She does sometimes feel lonely. Little does she realize that one night out will change things for her. That is when she meets Kirk. There is an attraction between them, a connection. He is protective of her. What does the future hold for Kelly and Kirk? Read this book to find out. I enjoyed reading about the bantering that goes back and forth between Kelly and Kirk. I also enjoyed reading about the other characters in the story and how they interacted with Kelly. Kelly is a character that is likable and the type of person I would wish for as a friend. This is a story I would highly recommend reading.

5 out of 5 stars

The story BECKONED, Part 6: Adrift in New Zealand by Aviva Vaughn is an amazing book to read. It is a beautiful story that had me glued to the pages. It is my favorite book in the series. The story had my emotions going up and down the entire time I was reading. Once I started, I couldn’t put it down until I had read the last page. One of the reasons that the book and series are so wonderful is the character of Soren. He is a character that I found myself caring about and wanted him to find happiness. This story finds him starting out in Costa Rica where he has found passion and purpose. He finds his relationship with Elena Sol being put to the test. His resort business has him traveling to New Zealand where he encounters two women from his past. What does the future hold for Soren? Read this book to find out. There are moments in this story that deeply touched my heart. This book is about second chances and has moments that are very romantic. I enjoyed reading about many of the other characters that Soren interacts with. This is a story that I found myself thinking about even after I had finished it. Highly recommended reading.

Evolution: Awakening (An Ash Kyndal Novel) by Hope Anika – Review by Elizabeth Sanchez

Evolution: AwakeningEvolution: Awakening by Hope Anika
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Evolution: Awakening blew me away. It is the first book I have read by Hope Anika, but I want to read more now! The summary drew me in and I thought it would be interesting, but it far surpassed my expectations. The book starts right in the middle of the action, no need to start slow and set the ground work. It set off with a bang, and never let up. The story did take a long time to get to the WHY, which was frustrating. However, I never let up- I read the book in less than 2 days. It is one of the most fascinating stories I have read, with great imagination and story building. I like the way it was told in two parts, to the same story. There is the story of Wanda, Eva and Wylie, on the run from madmen. And the other half of the story is Ruslan and Ash trying to solve the mystery from the back end. The description doesn’t tell much, so I don’t want to spoil anything, but wow oh wow. Highly recommend this suspense filled mystery. Parts of the puzzle are slowly uncovered for a big reveal. Couldn’t put it down!

This book!!!

At times it was so detailed that I was rolling my eyes everytime someone’s name was mentioned over and over again. Just when I started to think the book didn’t have that spark I thought it would BAMMO the story takes on a life of its own.

This story is full of suspense and intrigue, red herrings and nosey neighbors. It is detailed and direct. At times it was jaw dropping and I am so glad I stuck with it.

Definitely a story i recommend

Murder Among Friends by Linda Burson was one I had a hard time putting down. I hated going to work because it cut into my reading time and I couldn’t wait to figure out what happened and I was so wrong on who I thought it was.

I have so many things I want to say about some of the characters, but I’m afraid it will tip things off, but I will say that each one of these characters is amazing and not everyone is what they seem.

I have read a few books by Ms. Burson and while I have enjoyed all of them I think this is my favorite to date. I would love to see more mystery romance novels by her.

This seems it will be such a great new series. This first book packs a ton of information but done very well as I didn’t feel overwhelmed with it all.
Kelly is fine doing what she’s doing day in and day out, except when it hits her how lonely she feels. Her best friend just doesn’t understand her passion and tries to get her out of the house, and one night she does just that and in comes Kirk.
Kirk, oh how I wish we had more from his side than the little we got.
This was such a great story and what a great group this shows and hope we see more very soon!

That’s a Wrap (Paranormal Talent Agency Book 3) by Heather Silvio – Review by Emily Walsh

That's a Wrap (Paranormal Talent Agency, #3)That’s a Wrap
By: Heather Silvio
My Rating: 5 of 5 stars

That’s a Wrap (Paranormal Talent Agency #3) by Heather Silvio was a hooking, fun, engaging read that had me flipping the pages.

The third book in the Paranormal Talent Agency series, we were again greeted by an interesting MC, a unique murder mystery and pure hotness. I loved the opening, it has real criminal mind vibes, with a touch of supernatural. Just so you know this books reads as a standalone, so if you haven’t read the others book, no worries about spoiler. But I do highly suggest reading them, cause, they good!

It wasn’t long before I was hooked, and devoured this book. I have to say, out of the three this book as been my fav so far, and for me, the best. Don’t get me wrong the other books were solid and pulling reads, but this one, this one seemed more polished, consistent, and loud. I loved the MC’s, the plot and the setting, I also loved the different types of supers that keep popping up, and the spin this author puts on them.

This book, this series, is truly one of a kind and it gets my super high recommendation and my golden stamp of approval.

Happy Reading

Edge of the Storm: Book 2 (Silent Secrets)Edge of the Storm: Book 2 by Lisette Kristensen
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is the first book I have read by Lisette Kristensen but it will not be my last. The action and adventure that follows Halo really is what makes this book. I wasn’t completely sold on the character at first but as I became more and more involved in the high stakes terrorist fight that unfolds I was quickly swallowed in whole. I would be interested in seeing what else there is to find out about the characters in the first book this time around however. Combined with reading out of order and the short brief and rushed feeling I got with the size of the novel is my only reason really for marking it four instead of five stars. I am definitely looking forward to book three as well.

Murder Among FriendsMurder Among Friends by Linda Burson
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is the first book I have read from this author and now she has a new fan. I absolutely love mystery with my romance but this talented author exceeded all my expectations. This story had me hooked from the very first page. I could not stop until the very end. It only took me a few hours to devour this book.

Camille Thurston was ready to take break from her exhausting job. She needs some r and r so she goes to her brothers house in a small town in Connecticut. Camille and her brother Zachary share the same stresses. She is a lead investigator and her brother is a cop so they know what kind of stress Camille is under. All she wants is to have some peace and quiet. Camille is getting the time she needs until a woman goes missing. She knows she should stay out of it but her brother is one of the officers that is handling the case. Camille gets involved in this case and she might be a little too close. Will they find this missing woman or will it be too late?

I absolutely loved this book. The storyline has it all romance, mystery, and some suspense. You fall in love with these characters right from the beginning. Camille just wants to have some peace and quiet. She is a very smart woman with a heart of gold. Grant is such a great father to his boy. He is very smart and also has a heart of gold. This talented author will keep you at the edge of your seat until the end. I can’t wait to see what she will write next.

Fierce Emotions (The Marcy Series Book 8) by Linda Burson – Review by Sarah Oakes

Fierce EmotionsFierce Emotions by Linda Burson
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

A great read about family. Marcy has finally found happiness living with Brad and her son Evan. They go on a trip to see her parents in Philadelphia for Independence Day. Whilst there, she discovers she is having similar nightmares to before. They try to get to the bottom of it all and whilst doing so, Marcy overhears a phone call that turns her world upside down. Can her family stick together despite it all?
A great read. Well developed plot with twists and turns. Well developed characters like Marcy standing up for herself but still vulnerable underneath or Brad as caring and protective or Liam trying to please everyone and do his job aswell. Great cast of supporting characters like the fun sister Katie or the supportive Dr Banjali.
I loved the visual detail throughout the novel like with the beach with the calming nature of the water and the soft sand for a sense of peace wonderfully written. Or with the park wit its homely feel of the benches and the swing comforting and familiar with the trees and their colourful leaves so vibrant its as if you were actually there beautifully written for a sense of it ebing their own little world.
I also liked how the narrative stuck to being written in Marcys perspective to display her thoughts and feelings about the events of the novel. Overall, a great read and I would give it four stars.

Murder Among Friends by Linda J. Burson – Review by Karyn Taylor

Murder Among FriendsMurder Among Friends by Linda Burson
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Murder Among Friends by Linda Burson is a murder, mystery that will keep you gripped from beginning to end. This is not the first book that I have read by this author but it’s definitely my favourite of hers so far.
When Camille (Cammy) Thurston takes a break from working at a PI firm to get spend some much needed rest and relaxation time, living with her police officer brother and his family for a couple of months, little did she know that she would get dragged into a case that he and his partner are working on and that she’d be closely involved with the family of the missing woman.
As is the norm, all eyes fall to the missing woman’s husband Grant, a local attorney but Cammy is convinced that Grant is innocent and gets close to him to gain as much info as possible on him and his neighbours who were friends of his missing wife.
I kinda struggled with the writing style while reading this book but I loved the story and was gripped throughout, desperate to know what happened to missing woman Paula, who was involved, and why?
I have to say that just as you think you know which way the story is going, Burson throws you and takes the story in a different direction that you just did not see coming. Believe me you will never imagine how this story pans out. Read it and find out. It’s worth the read.
