Tainted Saint is the fifth story in Gwyn McNamee’s Hawke Family series and what a series it is! Every single book takes you deeper into the Hawke Family universe and you are left panting for more! Every story is a complete story BUT they do need to be read in order as you would be totally lost if you picked any of them up randomly! Some stories are the Hawke sibling stories and some of them are of secondary characters so I see good news in that as there is a load of writing material for our great Gwyn McNamee! Tainted Saint is the story of Soloman “Saint” Clarke and Caroline Brooks. We have met both of them in the previous stories! Caroline is best friends with Dani so she meets Saint when visiting with Dani at the club the Hawke guys are running. Saint is protective and has a heart of gold and Caroline tests his patient to no end! Bring together two strong personalities that lust after each other and you get fireworks! There is some suspense and danger floating around in this novella and it will leave us with a cliffhanger (sort of) so I cannot wait for the next story in the series!

Edge of the Storm was a great 5 star read and book two in the Silent Secrets series by Lisette Kristensen.
She hit like a hammer, and was deadly like a rifle.
I love Blackbird (Sloane), she is an extremely strong character and knows how to take care of things. We continue with her story and as she finishes her training she is paired up with Halo.
We get a little glimpse at Adam, who Sloane has developed a little crush on during her training. But fraternization is forbidden.
Blackbird and Halo end up in Rome, when something goes wrong and Halo goes missing Blackbird is part of the search team. We get a lot of non stop action and edge of your seat moments. Can Blackbird and her team find Halo before it’s too late? Can they stop the terrorists plans?
The sad thing about betrayal, it never comes from the enemy.
Overall this was a thrilling read. This cannot be read as a stand alone or you will be completely lost. All of the secondary characters added a great element to the story. Once I got started I couldn’t stop until I was done, and I’m impatiently waiting for the next book in the series. Thank you Lisette for another great read.

Death and the Crone: Book Three of the Lucky Devil Series by Megan Mackie Four Stars
Death and the Crone is the third book in the Lucky Devil Series by Megan Mackie. This book can be read as a stand alone, but you should really read this series in order because it is so entertaining from beginning to the end. I love that Margaret is an older woman and it’s really hard to decipher Elias and his motives. This story had me hooked from the beginning to the end. It is magnificently witty and such a different character builder this the age difference in the characters. Without giving away any spoilers I highly recommend this book and it is definitely worth the time reading. I can’t wait to see what Megan Mackie has in store for us.

Rage by Linda Burson is book one of The Marcy Series. This book is a suspenseful romance book.
Marcy has been suffering from nightmares and no matter what she does, they don’t stop. Marcy is presented an ultimatum- get help or be left by the person that should love her enough to stay. After a series of events, Marcy meets Liam and much to her surprise, realizes she may be falling in love with him. These feelings put Marcy in a tough spot and jealousy and uncertainty ensue.
This book was enjoyable to read. It didn’t feel predictable and I waited to see what would happen. I absolutely recommend this book!

Squall Line (The Inland Seas Series Book 1) by Gwyn McNamee was an interesting read that kept me reading.
Not my first read by this author, so I was excited to get my hands on this author’s new work. As someone that has spent over 10 years on the water, I may have been a little picky, so I’m not going to get into that. I will say that this book was enjoyable, interesting and had a unique plot. I wish the pace was a little more smooth, and that the romance wasn’t so rushed, and again, that dreaded word, innocent, appeared. Describing the female MC like that, it took away and downplayed her strength, and power that I felt she was full of. Towards the end things started to get intense, and then it ends full stop with a cliff hanger. That threw me a bit, because I thought there was another page, well played, well played. I’m looking forward to the next book!
Overall this book was engaging, well laid out read, that had positive character development. This book get my high recommendation and my stamp of approval.

Fictional-ish by Natalina Reis is a romantic comedy. This story is the epitome of the story of friends and life shifts the dynamic of their relationship, whether for better or worse. I found the opening scenes in this story to be wonderfully set and certainly the right essence to pull the reader into the story to find out what happens to the characters as they progress chapter to chapter. Kyle and Livie had such a fun friendship/relationship in this story and I loved the creative ways the author drove into that. However, no story is ever easy and there is definitely drama and unexpected events that occur that shift the story in a direction no one anticipated. Grab this story and delve into whether Kyle and Livie’s friendship can survive or if everything will be left behind.

Impact (Twisted Hearts Love Story #4) by Autumn Sand is a well written contemporary romance. After reading the stories for Tony, Tick, and Magnum, I couldn’t wait to get my hands on Manny’s story. Autumn Sand did not hold back in this story; we caught glimpses of Manny’s character in the other stories, yet he is so much more than what could have been perceived. The story is riveting and creates another piece of Manny giving his character unbelievable depth and growth above what may be anticipated. Of course, there is mystery, drama, suspense and chemistry in bundles within the pages. A great read!!

Problematic Love (Rogue Series Book 8) by Lara Ward Cosio
I have loved reading the Rogue Series since the beginning and I am ecstatic that the author keeps on going because I can’t get enough of them!! This book is no different, it is full of raw emotion, friendship, laughter, and so much more. This is Danny boy’s and Amelia’s story, and there is a lot of stuff for them to figure out, so you will find yourself on an emotional rollercoaster. If you want to find out if they are able to work through the past, their insecurities and other issues that they have then this is a must read. This has been one of my favorite series of all time and I find myself completely enthralled and invested in all of the characters. I highly recommend this book, I would give it more stars if I could.

For the most part I really enjoyed Sloane’s journey into becoming Blackbird. I’m a little tired out on the destroying something at the Vatican story line but there isn’t really much else that old and precious to as many people so I get the intrigue. I’ve always liked more detail in training aspects of spies, secret agents, mercenaries, ect. so I would have enjoyed a little more of how she and Halo get to a point in their lives and careers that they are able to get back up form everything they endure. That being said, this book as well as the previous novel and novella are non stop and will have you tearing through to get to the next page. Can’t wait for the 3rd book

Out of the Box Awakening is the first book in the Out of the Box Series by Jennifer Theriot. It is an emotionally charged women’s literature/contemporary romance with an older, more seasoned main characters. It isn’t what you would normally expect from a romance, as Ms. Theriot takes us one a deeper, more realistic and emotional journey. This is a second chance romance, with new beginnings, finding oneself/self-discovery, learning and growing, and much more. We meet Olivia Petersen who has her ‘perfect’ world turned upside down by her husband’s betrayal, leaving her out of her depth, confused, and away from her comfort zone. Ash Harper is Liv’s husbands’ former army buddy, who has experienced much pain himself. He has baggage and secrets- but they share a connection that neither can deny. Fate throws they together, and there will be choices to be made… so will they find comfort and happiness in each other? Is he her Mr. Right- Or just Mr Right Now? You really should read the story/series and discover all the emotional details for yourself! An enjoyable story, even though it was a little cheesy and predictable in place, the emotional content helped to balance the story.

Out of the Box Regifted is the second book in the Out of the Box Series by Jennifer Theriot. This story starts off where the first book left off, so I really recommend reading Book #1 before starting this one, as there is important character details and storyline contained in that book which will give you a greater appreciation of what’s happened/happening her, and knowing all those details will enhance your reading experience of this book. I really appreciated getting some more insight into the characters, secondary characters included. The story also was less predictable than the first book, which I also liked. We follow along as Ash and Olivia’s story unfolds, getting a front row seat to all the developments, as well as the obstacles they encounter along the way- which will test them, while also adding drama and angst to the story. Another emotional addition to the series and has me highly anticipating how their story will play out! Bring on Book #3!

Out of the Box Everlasting is the third and final book in the Out of the Box series by Jennifer Theriot. It packs quite a punch, and not just emotionally. It is quite intense, suspenseful, dramatic, and nerve-wracking… and is my favourite of the three books. It was a little bittersweet to read as I wanted to know how everything would play out, so I was completely invested in what I was reading, but also a little sad that the series was coming to an end. There was so much character development and growth throughout the series, especially for Olivia- who grew the most. There was heartache, emotion, romance, love, mystery, suspense, tragedy, secrets, twists, unexpected developments, and much to overcome for the characters on their journey towards happiness. Ms. Theriot certainly put them through their paces, that’s for sure. Again, this story picks up where the previous book left off. So, having said that, I really recommend reading all the books, in sequence, so you have all the details that you need to full appreciate this book, and the series as a whole. As expected, Ms. Theriot didn’t disappoint, as this is both clever, and a fitting conclusion to the series!
If you love to read realistic and relatable stories, with plenty of drama and emotion, and interesting and likeable characters- then this is definitely the book for you. Three books in one- you can’t get better than that. #Winning!!!

Impact (Twisted Hearts Love Story #4) by Autumn Sand is a five star novel. This novel can be read as a standalone and I highly recommend it. We start the story when Manny is just a little boy. His mother has just died and he knows his life is about to change forever. After going to live with the father he HHS’s never met, he can only dream about being able to go back to the life he used to have and the care of his family that has been torn apart. As hard as he tries, he cannot find any love in his new life. Then he runs off and heads back to New York expecting things to be normal. What he finds there is not what he is expecting. The love of his life is not the same girl as when they were kids. People keep leaving him when he needs them the most. When he finally realizes the love he has for a friend, it might be too late or he thinks he is too damaged. This book will take you on a rollercoaster of emotions and just praying for Manny to find his place and find happiness.

WOW!! This was written really really well. I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough to see what was going to happen.
Sloane (Blackbird) was an awesome character, You MUST read the first in this series to completely understand what is going on and how Sloane got where she is in this story. The action in this book was non stop. I followed it easily and although it was hard reading about terrorists with our world being the way it is right now, it was totally awesome watching the other side go after them. I was not completely sure about Halo at some points in this story but I ended up loving her as much as I did our Blackbird.
I absolutely must have the next in this series ASAP! Blackbird and Halo are AWESOME and I’m also very very curious whether there is any more to come for Blackbird and Adam.
Very quick read, full of content and very easy to follow. Will have book 3 as quick as I can get a hold of it and would love to read more from this author.

This is the eighth book in this series. I highly recommend reading this series from the beginning to help your enrichment of the story. I enjoyed this book and seeing Marcy again. Her story is well written and creative. The characters are strong and a great support to each other. Marcy and her family finally get to move in, all is happy right? What will happen when Marcy overhears a conversation she isn’t suppose to? I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens to Marcy.

I loved this book! This is one of my favorite authors as her story are well written and creative. Her characters bring the story to life and make me feel as if I am part of their world. This book is no different. It is a romance story about two best friends. Livie thought they would find a way to each other. But when Kyle marries her best friend, things come crashing down. Now Livie and Kyle are worlds apart but will there be some forgiveness in their future to find their HEA? A must read!

I enjoyed my first book by this author. Her writing skills are creative and has the ability to make the situations feel real. The characters will take you on a few twists and turns that will leave you sitting on the edge of your seat. They are full of feistiness. This is about a terrorist threat made to Rome. Halo has come to Rome to mentor a new agent. When meeting with an informant Halo is taken prisoner. Her partner Blackbird is set on getting her back. I highly suggest this book.

Problematic Love is the 8th book in the Rogue Series by Lara Ward Cosio. The Rogue series is centred around a rock band called Rogue and their families in Dublin. This book is not designed to be read as a stand-alone. The author recommends that you have read Looking For Trouble and Felicity Found before reading this one. I had read Looking For Trouble but hadn’t read Felicity Found and did feel that I was missing some essential information so I would definitely recommend following the author’s recommendations and read the other 2 books first. However, this did not affect my enjoyment of this book. I loved Daniel and Amelia in Looking For Trouble and thoroughly enjoyed catching up with them again to see what their future held. In Looking For Trouble Amelia is Daniel (or Danny Boy)’s therapist. Daniel is very broken and is a recovering heroin addict and Amelia has stepped away from her career after crossing the line and becoming too closely involved with Daniel. This book continues their story as they try to work at becoming a couple, with all the trials and tribulations that being in a relationship bring. Every time it looks like they are getting somewhere another twist is thrown at you and the story goes in a different direction. Just as it seems that all is going well, Amelia makes a confession that makes them both realise that they want totally different things. Can Daniel and Amelia make their relationship work? I’d definitely recommend that you read this great book to find out. The characters are fantastic and so well written, you are really drawn into their story. You will go through a roller coaster of emotions when reading this book, It’s not a glossy romance, it’s hard hitting and gritty and this makes it more realistic.

Edge of the Storm by Lisette Kristensen is the second book in the Silent Secreta series. This book is fast paced, intriguing and will have you hooked until the very end. This is an author I have recently become familiar with and so far I have loved every book. This was definitely has to be my favourite though. The whole story had me on the edge of my seat and I couldn’t wait to find out what was going to happen. It was full of twists and turns that meant you never quite knew what the outcome was going to be. I enjoyed Halo’s character. She was strong and commanding on a way that added to the story. I fell in love with the cover of this book. It is eye grabbing and makes me want to read the book. My only gripe, and it is a small one, is that I wish the book were a little longer. It felt like I had finished it all too quickly. This is a great story and one I would definitely recommend.

Death and the Crone by Megan Mackie is the third book in the Lucky Devil series. This book can be read as a stand-alone book however the whole series is fantastic so I would recommend reading them all! I have to admit, after reading the blurb for this book I was a little unsure as to whether or not I would like it. I’m not a huge fan of books where the women are older, I struggle to connect with them more. However I should have never doubted the work of Ms Mackie because she did a fantastic job wit this story. I really enjoyed reading about Margaret. The way her character was introduced really made me feel for her. It gave the emotional connection that I find is so often missing from older characters. And her character development throughout was so well done. The storyline was overall ok, although not for me the best in this series. It felt a little more disconnected from the other books. Edge of the Storm picks up with Blackbird as she goes on her first mission with Halo in Rome. When Halo is taken, Blackbird has to put everything she has learned to save her partner. I am loving this series! The suspense, the action, the bada$$ women the story revolves around. The only thing I’d like to see is more action and a longer story!

Rage by Linda Burson a four-star read that will make you see red. This is the first novel in the Marcy series, I have read the series in the wrong order but have enjoyed them all for different reasons. This one was a little different and I struggled more at times with this one than some of the others. But that being said the story was good, and it shows us Marcy is a strong character and she shows usher strength of character that will surprise you at times, but it will also show you how great the writing and character development is by this author.

I absolutely love this series. They are just nice quick reads that suck you into this awesome world that Heather Silvio has created.
Mia is a Nixie working for an acting company in Las Vegas. When one of her actors is murdered on a Facebook live, she sets out to find the truth because she believes something supernatural is behind the murder. She needs to keep what she is hidden as she sets out to find the killer.
Heather Silvio has a way with words. The way she describes everything gives you the clearest picture as you read. She doesn’t leave you guessing on what something or someone might look like! This series is definitely one that should be on everyones must read list!

Drawing Bloodlines (The Princeton Allegiant Series Book 1) by Deborah Garland is a wonderfully written story that I couldn’t put down once I started reading. Its also the first Book in The Princeton Allegiant Series. Who doesn’t love a good book about romance and vampires? I know I do. This story will hook you from the beginning and I found myself turning the pages fast trying to figure out what happens next. This story will keep your attention from the action and danger to the steamy moments. I truly enjoyed this book and look forward to reading more in this series. This is a highly recommended must read!

Impact was a New York based contemporary romance/ thriller in the Twisted Hearts series, telling us Manny’s story. Manny’s mother dies when he is young leading to him having to move away from his family to live with his estranged father. While there he develops an obsession with returning to New York to be with his childhood friend Demaris. The result of following this dream would shape his life. This was the first book I had read by Autumn Sand and it was a mixed read for me. I enjoyed how the action was non-stop and I liked the way the main characters were written but I didn’t entirely identify with them. I am not sure if this was because of the jumping back and forward between different timelines or because I hadn’t read the other books in the series. I felt like I never truly got to know Manny because it was like he was two different characters. Zoe was more likeable but I’m not sure why she kept getting dragged back into the life she was clearly too good for. There were lots of twists and turns in the book and it kept me entertained. A good read for a bit of escapism after a busy week.

India Kells has once again written a great suspenseful romance. I loved her characters,as well as the rollercoaster this story takes you on. My emotions were all over the place. There are tender moments, but they don’t last long. Then the suspense takes over and you can’t put the book down, as you might miss something. This was one of those books, when you say. “I’ll just read one more chapter.”The next thing you know the evening has gone, and it is time to get up. Make sure to read this book and the others in order, so you get the whole picture. Well done India Kells, well done!

Problematic Love by Lara Ward Cosio is the eighth book in the Rogue series. You do not have to have read all of this series you really do need to have read Looking For Trouble and Felicity Found inns order for you to get full enjoyment out of it. At first I struggled s but with these characters – I’m not sure if I struggled to get back into their story or if I wasn’t as keen on this book. However as the book went on I found myself becoming invested in them again and wanting them to find a way to make it work. I really enjoy this authors writing style as well. Everything feels so gritty and intense. This alone would be enough to make me read her books however the stories and the characters she creates are always done brilliantly. If you haven’t already you should definitely read this series.

Murder Among Friends by Linda Burson is a well written mystery that I found beyond thrilling and didn’t want to put down. The book follows Camille who is worn out and tired who decides to visit her brother. While there, a woman is reported missing and her brother and partner are working the case. Have worked as a private investigator, she is drawn to the case. While helping the case she also gets close to the missing woman’s family. This thrilling read had me at the edge of my seat and always wondering what would happen and if the missing woman would be found. Every character brought into the story and so well written. The details and the writing of Linda Burson truly helped draw me into this five star read!

Impact by Autumn Sand is a Twisted Hearts Love story stand-alone. It’s the fourth book in the series. Due to content, this book is recommended for readers 18+.
This book starts off showing us an event that changed Manny’s life. From there the story switches from past to present giving you more insight into Manny’s life. Experiencing the ups and downs of Manny’s life really took you on a rollercoaster of emotions. To see Manny in love is also a rollercoaster. He will do anything to keep her safe but the relationship at times has been rocky. This book kept me on the edge of my seat and definitely had some twists I wasn’t expecting.
I really enjoyed reading Manny’s story and getting a glimpse into his life. It was very emotional but Manny definitely made some choices that were good for his life and it was good seeing him trying to come out the other side. I didn’t read these books in order but now I definitely want to go back and read the others!
