Arrows Tipped with Honey (Natural Forces Book 2) by Jean Gill
4 Stars!!!!

The Queen of the Bees is back and there is more to the adventure. I like how the author has built quite the complex world with the Citadel and the Forest. I was drawn back into the world with the battle that is still going on even though they think the war is over. I couldn’t put the book down.

I really felt that the drama in this book keeps one glued to it. With Kermon staying in the Citadel to try and keep his mission and inevitably having to battle demons. This book just really brings the world the author has created even more vividly to life and I for one thought the balance of drama was just right. I really enjoyed getting more informed about the forest and seeing also more of the citadel. I like how the author begins to weave in the threads of the forest again to the Citadel unbeknownst to all. I can see how this series is evolving and I am very much eager to see how it will all unfold. I definitely cannot wait to read more from this author and this series.

Finding Leda: The Science of Happiness by Gaia B Amman is the first book in the Italian College series, which forms part of the Italian Saga. This all does need to be read in order as is is a continuation of the story and characters you get to know.
This book so easily takes you back into the story and the interesting works the author is writing about. This whole series has been fun and exciting, which such engaging characters. Each time I see a new book in the series I know I just have to read it!
It is so easy to picture with this book bring there yourself and seeing all the same things as the characters. The development Leda undergoes from page 1 through to the end is well crafted and so relatable. This is another fantastic book in the series and I am looking forward to whatever is next.

4 Stars!!!!

Once again I have found a new author and also once again I have started mid series. I have to admit though that I was not let down and found myself totally emerged into this book. The author has created some great characters.

Crystal and Spencer have a quite realistic relationship and very unique. I like how the author didn’t make things so obvious and that there was a lot of twists to this romance. I found that Crystal was a very relatable character . I felt as though I was right there with her going through all the emotions and events. I look forward to reading more from this author.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This story is about lost chances and living everyday as it’s your last. Sunshine Kisses is following the character of Crystal who after hearing some news from her doctors does just that want’s to experience life in general.

Crystal makes her way to her best friends wedding where she is determined to have a holiday romance, a no strings fling but will this fling be no strings. Spenser was the nerdy kid that everyone wanted as a friend but never a boyfriend, he has always loved Crystal but will she see past the friend thing and think him move as lover material.

You will need to read the book, I loved the characters and my heart went out for these two characters. The story was well constructed and flowed really well, with the interaction between all the characters believable.

This is the first book I had read by this author I really enjoyed every word and could not put it down. I would definitely recommend this book to people who like a good romance and a fighting for the character story. I will be reading more from this author in the future.

Sunshine Kisses, not what a read. Elaine Marie is a new author for me and I thoroughly enjoyed this read! For a quick read it definitely full to the brim with an incredible storyline and characters that I loved from the moment this read began. It’s actually quite a touching book, to see the difference in Crystal from the beginning of the read to the end, how she changes her outlook toward Spencer and also the outlook she has on her life after her medical issue comes about. The relationship that she and Spencer have straight away was a great building point for them but to see it develop over the next couple of weeks into one that was real, raw and undeniable was beautiful to see, and I loved that Spencer never gave up, and kept persevering with proving to Crystal what they could really be! I loved it, it gave me all the feels you could want from a romance read! I loved this author and her writing and I am looking forward to reading more!

Love is What You Bake of it (Meraki, #1)Love is What You Bake of it by Effie Kammenou
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Love is what you bake of it is a lovely heart warming book about accepting the things you can not change and trusting the people around you.

Kally is a great character who has been battered in the past by love and is happy now creating her master pieces in her cafe until a unexpected thing happens and can she embrace love or drive him away with her trust issues. Will past events dictate future loves you will have to read to find out.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book as a great summer read, the story flowed brilliant and I felt I could really relate to the main characters. I enjoyed the story of secrets being revealed and the humour, with also the interaction of the secondary characters makes this a great book.

This is the first story by this author and I can’t wait to read the second in this instalment, I would recommend this book to anyone who likes a great story and happy romance.

How (Stalker Series Book 3) by Megan Mitcham – Review by Jennifer Gordon

How (Stalker Series, 3)How by Megan Mitcham
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I’m a fan of Megan Mitcham’s, ‘Stalker Series’ of books and this is book three in this series of, “high octane psychological suspense thrillers”. “If you like strong female leads, shocking twists, and a dash of romance”, then you’ll love this series of books. Book three did not disappoint and I was once again hooked from page one by Mitcham’s wonderful storytelling.
FBI Special Agent Libby Irish works in a male dominated workplace and she thrives off the constant pressure of proving herself in this environment. After she busts a notorious weapons ring she thinks she’ll finally get the deserved respect however when a photo of her very curvy figure in front of the guns goes viral she is not prepared for the media frenzy that follows and this only makes her the laughing stock of the division. Having to deal with the media, her suspension, flashing cameras everywhere she goes, a feral cat and unwanted fan mail Libby almost misses the fact that someone has been in her house moving small objects about. Her first thought is that it’s her sexy but slightly awkward neighbour but when she gets to know Jake better she discovers that he’s actually rather skilled and he even offers to help track down her stalker. However the couple must work quickly as the stalker is getting bolder and more dangerous putting Libby’s life in danger, just as Libby is realising that the chemistry between her and Jake is hotting up. Their chemistry literally sizzles of the page and results in some rather hot and steamy sex scenes.
This is definitely a fast paced thriller with plenty of action, suspense, romance and steamy sex scenes between the two main characters who are both likeable and realistic. I was gripped from the start and felt fully immersed in the storyline. A five star read which I definitely recommend.

Sunshine KissesSunshine Kisses by Elaine Marie
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I thoroughly enjoyed this wonderful best friends to lovers romance, it had me both laughing out loud and in tears. Having received bad news from her Doctor Crystal Brooke’s decides to live her life to the full before she has to start treatment, this includes enjoying her best friends destination wedding where she is to be a bridesmaid and indulging in a holiday fling. Crystals plan of a no strings attached hot sex fling goes awry when the man she hooks up with is Spencer Larson who happens to be one of her best friends. Meanwhile Spencer is fed up of his nerdy image and has been secretly crushing on Crystal for years, he decides that at the upcoming wedding he will make his move. However Spencer is not looking for a holiday fling but a long term romance. Unbeknown to Spencer, Crystal has also been secretly in love with him too but due to her current medical condition and poor prognosis she can not see a future with him and pushes him away.
I went on an emotional rollercoaster whilst reading this story, I fell in love with both Crystal and Spencer and just wanted them to both get their happy ever after. I felt that Crystal’s medical condition was dealt with sensitively and honesty and the emotions she went through made her very likeable and relatable as a character. Although an emotional read, I was hooked from the start and literally could not put this book down. I am new to the author, Elaine Marie, and look forward to reading other books by this author.

This was such a lovely yet emotional novella, I really enjoyed it and it was also the first book that I have read by this author so it was really nice to discover a new to me author whose work I liked. I will definitely be reading more from her in the future. I completely took Crystal into my heart from the very beginning of the story, she was determined to live her life to the fullest – her story had me laughing and crying at the same time. The dynamic between the characters was brilliant, and for a novella they were so well developed – it was just a fantastic read from beginning to end. I think I might be a little bit in love with Spencer too!

5 out of 5 stars

The story Torch (Lovelock Book 2) by Tricia Copeland is a YA/Dystopian book that I loved reading. It is a story that had me hooked from the beginning and didn’t let me go until the final page. It is a story that includes danger, secrets, action, and wonderful characters that I couldn’t help but root for their success. I love the character of Jema. She is a young girl who is feisty, strong, and independent. She has been branded as a traitor. Who can she trust? Can she get the cure for a lethal contagion to be released? This is a fast-paced story that I was on the edge of my seat wondering what was going to happen next. Jema is a character that has a fierce determination. Many other characters interact with Jema and I enjoyed reading about. They are helpful to her. Then some only look after themselves and have their own agenda. The story is written in such a way that I felt like I was right there with Jema. I also found my emotions going up and down through the book. Don’t miss out on a story that I found entertaining and full of twists and turns that I didn’t see coming. I highly recommend reading it.

Love Is What You Make of It by Effie Kammenou is the first book in the Meraki Series, and truly was a good read. I have never read anything by this author and I can say now that I fell in love with her writing style, her characters, and can not read more of her work. Max and Kally are two strong characters that I adored and loved getting lost in the world created for them and by them. Watching Max and Kally develop was fun, and I adored her grandparents. I truly felt I was apart of the world of Max and Kally which as a reader is so important for me.

I give this book five stars and can not wait to read more in the series and more work by the author. I loved how she was able to draw me in, and keep me reading from page one and until the words, the end. Truly a fun read that has shown me another author I can read more of. WELL DONE!

What an emotional roller coaster!

Kally Andarakis believes she isn’t love able. This comes from the few relationships she’s had. Instead, she pours her love into her cafe and the pastries she makes. The pastries and coffees the Kally creates sound delicious!

In walks in the hunky Max Vardaxiz policeman. Is Max a complication Kally doesn’t want in her life or is he the answer she’s been looking for?

This is a wonderful story of love and the misconceptions we come across in life.

5 Stars

Stage Mom gives us a mom fighting for her special needs daughter to be treated the same as anyone else, I have a special needs grandson and this one hit me square in the feels.

I loved how Larissa and Mateo weren’t these perfect 23 year old walking magazine covers, they were a bit older and written as real people.

This had some super tough spots for me, again I have a severely special needs grandson and this story was handled so beautifully, completely spot on and this made me love this book even more. Don’t get me wrong, there were some parts that made me want to crawl through my kindle and smack the heck out of a couple characters, but there were even more heartwarming moments and absolutely hilarious parts. I fell head over heels in love with Hailey from the start! I also once again love checking back in with many characters from earlier books

This was the perfect addition to this series, I’m praying that there is more to come from Rehoboth, a place I can see in my mind, a place I would love to visit! I can not wait to reread this whole series back to back on a quiet weekend!

Loved it!

Wedding War: An Enemies-to-Lovers Romantic Comedy (Romance in Rehoboth Book 5) by K.L. Montgomery

Wedding War gives us the Hatfields and Mccoys feel with a child from each trying really hard not to like each other.

Jason and Hannah both run family businesses, their families have been at war for over 20 years and when a big time superstore moves into town threatening these family businesses these two must find a way to pull together if they have any hope of keeping their hometown businesses afloat. This makes for some of the best reading, the lol moments were plenty, the wondering what would happen next moments were plenty and watching these two trying to avoid their attraction was the best. This was one that had my hubby looking at me like I was losing my mind, trying not to laugh out loud sometimes is worse than just letting it go.

I loved this story, I think every one of them in this series become my favorite when I’m done, this whole series is amazing and this author is in a class of her own!!

Read them all seriously..they all could be read as stand alones but characters weave in and out of all the books and I just know you would want all of the stories!

How (Stalker Series Book 3) by Megan Mitcham is just WOW!! Explosive, shocking, thrilling and suspenseful. I loved the first two books and didn’t think Megan could take us to anything better but boy was I wrong. I laughed, I sobbed, and I kept looking at the shadows. I absolutely love the strong and sassy female characters and their equally sexy, hot and tough men. I can see the makings of a series with the men and the new adventure. OMG I certainly did not see the one humongous twist coming and it tore my heart in two and that right there is enough to show just how wonderful Megan is as she finely weaves those threads that pull it all together. I am a Meagan fan and need more.

Turn up the Tempo (Lyrical Odyssey Rock Star Series Book 4) by Charli B Rose – Review by Angela Hayes

Turn up the Tempo (Lyrical Odyssey Rock Star series, #4)Turn up the Tempo by Charli B. Rose

Turn Up the Tempo is the fourth book in the Lyrical Odyssey Rock Star Series by Charli B. Rose. It is a steamy Rockstar Romance with Angst, drama, jealousy, secrets, lust, friendship, heart-ache, emotion, and a little mystery.
Brooks and Brittany are wonderful characters who really drew me into their story, and had me invested in them and the outcome of it all. Brooks is a member of Lyrical Odyssey, Rockstar, bassist, and best friend of Dawson (who we met in the previous books). Brittany is a talented dancer and Izzy’s best friend (who we met in the previous books). When Brooks and Britt come together, sparks fly and their chemistry bubbles over. Will these two find their own tempo? All the sizzling details can be found inside this fantastic book!
I wonder what Charli B. Rose has in store for us next. I can’t wait to find out!

Be Brave With Me is the first book in Finding Love in Green Springs Series by J.B Havens and C.A Miconi. This is my first read from either of these two authors, so I really had no idea of what to expect going into the story. I was drawn to the title, because I used to live in a place called Greensprings many years ago- so I was curious to see how the story would unfold.
We meet Meg and Drew, who have each experienced their own tragedies and battling their own demons. Meg arrives in town, after 6 months of trying to outrun her demons and find peace. Can they help heal each other?
This is a wonderful small town romance, with emotion, drama, humour, and spice. It was easy to lose myself in the story, in a good way- and it kept me engrossed from beginning to end. I read the story in one easy sitting and will definitely be going back to explore more of these two authors other work/s, as well as read the rest of the series as they release.
A great start to a wonderful new series.

Thank you, J.B Havens and C.A Miconi!

On a side note I enjoyed seeing Whynter and Dominic again. They add a lot here since they are besties with these two characters.

Sunshine Kisses is the second novella in Elaine Marie’s Kisses series. This is my first read by this writer and I love novellas as they give you an opportunity to get to know new writers and get a glimpse into a new ‘universe’. Sunshine Kisses was a very emotional read as it deals with a medical condition. We meet Crystal who has decided to live her life fullest when facing her medical condition and she has decided to have a hot fling instead of moping and crying at home. Her boy toy is Spencer, the heart throb nerd, who decides that now is the time to act on his crush that he has had for years … add to this a destination wedding and sun and drinks and getting the story from both Crystal and Spencer’s point of view, you really realise how important some moments are in one’s life and they need to be cherished. Be Brave with Me: Finding Love in Green Springs, Book One
by CA Miconi

This book is such a beautifully written story. Meg and Drew have both been through such tragedy that it’s completely heart breaking. Drew is working really hard at pulling himself up and out of his grief, depression, and anger even though the loss will always be with him, he has found a way with the help of his Nana to turn away from his self destruction. Meg left her home and has been driving since her tragedy, and she is still trying to figure out how to deal with her grief, she isn’t really taking care of herself. She finds herself in a small town when her car breaks down. This small town is where she meets Drew. Their attraction for each other is very high and Drew recognized the pain he sees in her eyes. Will they risk opening themselves up to take a chance on each other? Will Meg move on and keep running? This story was very emotional, heart warming, and got steamy as well. This is a must read and I cannot wait to read the next book. I highly recommend this book.

I thoroughly enjoyed this small town romance set in the small southern town of Green Springs, Mississippi, “Where the days are hot and the nights are hotter!”
This is book one in the, “Finding Love in Green Springs” series and can be read as a standalone story or part of the series. In this book we meet Meg and Drew and the chemistry between the two of them just sizzles off the page, sparks literally flew when the two first met in Green Springs. Drew was destined for football greatness until an accident changed his life but he’s always been the golden boy of his hometown. Having suffered and lived in despair for so long Drew has finally settled into an ordered life although a lonely one. Meanwhile Meg has found herself alone in the world following two tragedies which have tested even her strength. Having been on the move for six months, literally running from her demons, Meg arrives in Green Springs. When Meg and Drew meet Drew recognises in Meg the pain that he has suffered and although Meg tries to hide her feelings she can’t seem to hide them from Drew. Whilst Drew wants her to stay and to help her heal, Meg just wants to keep running. Can either of them be brave enough to either stay or let each other go. No spoilers as I recommend you read the book to find out!
I loved Meg and Drew as individual characters but together they were an amazing couple who had both been through so much and I was really cheering them on hoping they would both get their happy ever after. This novel has a lovely storyline with plenty of steam and although it’s an emotional read it also has some laughter, especially with the witty banter between Meg and Drew.
The secondary characters are all fascinating in themselves and I’m looking forward to maybe learning their stories in future books in the series. A great book for an easy read which had me fully immersed in the story from page one. I look forward to reading the rest of the series.

The Seal of Solomon – Lilandra’s Reeves Adventure (Supernatural Intelligence Agency Book 2) by Nadine Travers. This is a short fantasy read that will keep you on the edge of your seat. I loved it! It’s the story of Lilandra Reeves who is the Witch Warrior Specialist and she has been called upon to protect and rescue the Seal of Solomon. Dealing with her partners death guilt eats at Lilandra but she knows she has to do what she can. Werewolf Donovan begins to bargain with her telling her for the head of the organization he can bring her partner back to life. All she has to do is bring the Seal to his lady as opposed to her coven. What will Lilandra chose? Will she chose to try to bring her partner back to life and forget rescuing the Seal or will she do what is right for her coven?

Turn up the Tempo (Lyrical Odyssey Rock Star Series Book 4) by Charli B Rose – Review by Rosanna Ingram

Turn up the Tempo (Lyrical Odyssey Rock Star series, #4)Turn up the Tempo by Charli B. Rose
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I was intrigued by the synopsis of this story. Two people go into a one night stand with no intentions of anything beyond that night and are finding that agreement hard to abide by. However, the story that is laid out by Charli B Rose is amazing and kept me invested the entire time.

Brooks and Brittany have both decided that relationships aren’t their thing. When they hook up at a friend’s party, they don’t want it going past that night. Months later, when they are both part of a wedding party, they realize that the night they shared may have been more than just a hookup. However, lack of communication between the two (on top of trying to fight every urge within themselves to allow for something more) leads to a story that is filled with tears and laughter, hot sex and broken hearts, and growth and (gasp!) love. It’s a great story with so much going on that I don’t want to give anything away…so just read it!

Just a heads up…although this is the 4th book in the series, you do not have to have read the previous books to understand this story. While there are flashbacks to events that probably occurred in other books, it does not hinder the reader from moving through this story. That being said…I will be checking out the other books in the series because I want to know how they all to where they are now!
