I can honestly say, I did enjoy both of these stories. I was caught from the very first page and couldn’t stop reading either of them. They both took me on quite an emotional rollar coaster with darker themes. If you like darker plots, themes, and stories, this might be for you! It will definitely get you thinking, and was personally eye opening for me in several ways. I am excited to see where Zarina takes her stories in the future.

Every Last Psycho: A Collection of Two Novellas by Zarina Macha was an intriguing and heart wrenching read. I eagerly read this book struggling to put it down. The storyline was organized and detailed. I found myself pulled into the lives of the main characters easily as I read. I enjoyed the educational tid bits about various psychological disorders in the storyline. These two stories were excellent and I thoroughly enjoyed them. I highly recommend this book.

The Seal of Solomon: A Lilandra Reeves Adventure is the second book in the Supernatural Intelligence Agency series by Nadine Travers. This was a wonderfully written paranormal fantasy short story that I was able to read in an afternoon. The author does a great job sucking you in from the very beginning and before you know it the book is done. The story line was well written and thought out. Lilandra’s mate was killed during a past mission when he was trying to help her. With his death she swore herself to the coven. Donovan, who is a werewolf, proposes a deal to Lilandra. Will Lilandra strike a deal with Donovan to save her lost mate?

The Seal of Solomon: A Lilandra Reeves Adventure by Nadine Travers is the second book in the Supernatural Intelligence Agency series. This is a short read, but I still want more! I really enjoyed this book and it is action packed. Lilandra is amazing and I really like how her character is developing. She is really interesting and multidimensional. All of the other characters are great also. I really like how the author develops the world this takes place. I get drawn in and hate to finish. I look forward to reading more in this series and from this author in the series.

I absolutely adored Nadine’s first book, Blood Rebellion and this book is just as great! Just as the first book caught my attention and held it all the way through, so did this one! I read this book from cover to cover within one sitting! I highly reccomend this to anyone who loves supernatural stories! I definitely look forward to reading more from Nadine in the future!

This being my first read from this author I wasn’t sure what to expect, but what I expected was definitely not this. These two novella’s face some really deep and dark issues, issue that you begin to understand as what others go through in everyday life. Following Tess’s story have a lot of ups and downs, had my emotions all out of whack and really had me hoping Tess would find a way out of her downward spiral. Now Evelyn’s story takes an even darker turn, and as bad as its to say I was compelled to carry on reading this read it was dark but I kept turning the pages wanting to find out how Evelyn’s journey will turn out. For this being two novellas in one you definitely was not lacking on two amazing storylines and incredible characters. I highly recommend this read, it may not be for all but if you want a read that’s dark but totally compelling then this is the book for you!

The first one called Every Last Thought is a real hard story to read. It contains themes such as mental illness, rape and drug and alcohol abuse. Although these are hard subject to read about it has been written with respect. We follow the journey of Tess. A teenage girl who suffers from schizophrena. She struggles with life as the voices in her head make life hard. So she uses alcohol and eventually drugs to cope with it. Its a heartbreaking and also an eye opening story.
The second story is called Psycho Girl. This is a different type of story about a girl called Evelyn who is a psychopath. On the outside she is a normal girl who has everything she wants. Great grades, a perfect boyfriend, good friends. However she hides a secret from everyone. She doesnt care. She has no feelings or thoughts for anyone but herself and what Evelyn wants she gets one way or another. Her life progresses well. People see her as driven and determined but when she gets rejected by the college she wants to go to she snaps and the true Evelyn comes to light. It is a very chilling story and scary to think that there are people living like that, happy, normal lives until something makes them snap.

This is book 2 in the series and it picks up after the last book. We get to see the aftermath of the war in the Citidel as well as how the Queen if the Bees and her partners handle it. It’s nice to get back and see what’s going on. How is Mielitta, Jannlou and Drianna handling their lives now? What about Kermon? Spying to make sure the promises from the war are handled correctly. My frustration is that this is a middle story. Not much happens other than a power struggle in the Citidel. The three friends get some enlightenment in the Forest too. It seemed to be some filler. Granted some of the information I’m sure will be used later.
The characters are interesting and have many levels. I still enjoy the whole bee part. It nice seeing this crew coming into their own.
Overall it’s a nice book. There is adventure and politic in the amazing world this author created. It is very inventive and different from other books.

Lucifer’s Emblem: Celestial Academy book 1 by Molly Zenk and Sarah Biglow is a 3 star read. Zuri is the 18 year old daughter of Lucifer and while sneaking in to see his Emblem the glass shatters as she touches it and someone steals it, knowing that it’s her responsibility to find the Emblem and bring it back to hell, Zuri goes undercover at the Celestial Academy to find the thief. Along the way she meet Miryam, daughter of Archangel Michael, who has some major daddy issues. As much as it pains me to say I really struggled with this book, it was a short read but it took me a while to get into the book and I just didn’t enjoy it. I would recommend trying it for yourself cos you never know you might just enjoy it.

This is the second book in the Lovelock series. I was surprised at the difference in this story compared to the first one. I think it helps reading the first book before this one- but backstory is really important to me. The one thing that threw me was the name changes- though I understand the reason for it, it was slightly confusing. Jema and Troy are in this book as the main characters- but I feel like Troy was less of a main this time around and more background. I did enjoy the story- I’m interested to see if there’s another book in the making. I would be curious to see where they take the story from here.

Forgotten Truth is the first book in the Forgotten series by Virginia Wine. I have read quite a few books by Virginia Wine and have enjoyed her stories and the way she develops her plots. The premise of this story was really intriguing, so it was an easy choice to snap up a copy and explore the story. I loved the storyline and all the suspenseful dramatic developments that Ms. Wine was able to create. There is quite a lot going on in this book, from intrigue, danger, action, suspense, a little mystery, tension, drama, chemistry, and of course plenty of sizzle. Ms. Wine has created a complex story with cleverly crafted elements which kept me reading even though I couldn’t connect with the characters at all for most of the story. I can’t really pinpoint why exactly, except that I felt they were a little underdeveloped and came across a little flat to me. But the storyline kept me reading, and by the end I had grown to appreciate them more, but still wasn’t completely invested in them. I am intrigued enough by the plot to want to read the next book/s- so I plan on doing a reread of this book again, before diving into the other two books- just in case I was having an ‘off’ reading day during this story.

Bargaining is book 3 in the Hero High series by Mina Chara. I am really enjoying this series, but I recommend just buying the series as a whole. They should all be read together, as each book stops in a cliff hanger,in the middle of the story. I don’t feel like each book is its own story. However, this was the best of the 3. There is so much going on in this book! So many shocks and surprises, action packed. Friday Fitzsimmons is a student at Hero High. A school for superheros (think XMen) however, the school also has a reality tv show. The students are constantly being filmed, dressed up for photo shoots, whisked off for PR events, on top of being teenagers, struggling through high school. To top it off, they are paired with a superhero mentor, and are already taking part is rescues. Friday wanted to stay in the background, but since day 1 has been up front and center. She feels like everything is going wrong. She keeps fighting with her best friend and handler Jake. Dr Dangerous, a superhero who is supposed to be dead, seems to have resurfaced (or a copycat) and has a fixation on her. And there is a man in flames that keeps showing up and causing trouble. There are so many shockers in this story, I don’t want to give anything away. I highly recommend and cannot wait to see what happens next.

Gill is extremely gifted and has created a universe that YA fantasy dystopian readers will find thoroughly enjoyable. This second book in the series continues a tale I found incredibly spellbinding and lives up to its predecessor. Literally everything about this book is gold and I can not recommend it highly enough. The more I read Tricia Copeland, the more she’s becoming my favorite author. She has a way of telling stories that capture your imagination or stir deeply within you. This science fiction read is no different. In this read, that’s completely different from any other books by the same author, we find 16-yr-old Jema, a teen fugitive marked runaway who exposed a DNA based deadly virus, she and her allies are being hunted by her menacing uncle. Until she can put pressure on him to release the antidote, the world will be at risk. These small town romance novels are a hidden treasure as they’re always so beautifully written and quite steamy to read. Set in the small town of Green Springs, Mississippi where the times heat up moment by moment. In this steamy read, we follow characters, Meg and Drew. Meg who is heartbroken and grief-stricken, not once but twice, she becomes a nomad as she’s running from her past until she lands in Green Springs. In Lee County, Drew has failed at his desired path of a football star on the rise. Now that he’s set into his comfortable country life, here comes Meg who comes along to shake his world up. Drew can sense the pain on Meg but will she let him unravel what she’s been through? Can Meg stay in one place long enough for Drew to help her? Should Drew be strong enough to release her? I think this is one of the best stories I’ve read in a minute. I’m a sucker for a love story and an even more sucker for healing of any kind. This is a beautiful read and you’ll love how this one turns out.

Lucifer’s Emblem is the first book in the Celestial Academy sseries.I devoured this paranormal romance in one sitting. I couldn’t stop reading till the end. I had to know what was going to happen next. This isn’t my first read by these authors and definitely not my last. This story is about a Emblem that has been stolen but must be found before it unleashes Amageddon. Only problem is there’s only one person’s bloo who will stop it,Zuri’s. Can she learn to trust Miryam before it’s to late? Find out what happens next in this must read. I look forward to reading more from these authors.

How is the third book in the Stalker Series by Megan Mitcham. Libby Irish is an FBI Special Agent that kicks ass. She knows she works in a male dominated profession but she is determined to not let her sex be a weakness. There was a case that a fellow agent was not able to crack but she did, which lead to the downfall of a huge weapon ring. Just when she is feeling strong and confident in herself a sexy picture from the crime scene surfaces and all the wind is knocked from her sails.While dealing with fan mail and her ex-pet cat who now lives next door she nearly missed someone moving things in her house. She suspects it might be her mysteriously handsome neighbor but he experiences a tragedy of his own. This leads to Libby seeing a different side of him, and they are determined to figure out who her stalker is. Megan Mitcham has not failed in this third story. She portrays yet another strong female lead in Libby. This story is full of suspense, thrill and romance, I just couldn’t put it down.

Baba Ali and the Clockwork Djinn by Danielle Ackley-McPhail and Day Al-Mohamed was a great story! I really enjoyed this steam punk onna classic fairy tale. Though I haven’t read the story this was based off of, I enjoyed reading this rendition of the tale! It was a little slow in grabbing me in at first, but once my attention was grabbed I was hooked! I enjoyed reading this story and highly recommend it. Can’t wait to read more steam punk fairy tales!

I adore finding new authors. This was just right up my alley although not my usual genre but I love anything with the middle eastern theme. I found this book to be a breath of fresh air. The book is just rightly balanced with drama and just the slightest hint of romance.
I really loved that it was full of wonder and had a djinn after all what middle eastern theme wouldn’t be complete without it. I loved the steampunk theme as well. The way that it brings the old with the new and entwines the British and Arabian cultures as well just brings so much to the book. I loved all the characters and was just glued to the book. I will definitely read more from the authors in the future.

Be Brave With Me by C.A. Miconi is the first book in the Finding Love in Green Springs series. This is such an emotional story that will have you cheering on the characters all the way through. This is a completely new author to me so I didn’t know what to expect when going in to it. I figured it would be another sweet, small town romance with the usual happy ever after. Instead what I got was a book so packed with emotion that I found myself laughing in one moment and then crying my eyes out the next. The characters are what draw you into this book – they are both so broken and yet both so close to something new. This is a brilliant book that I would highly recommend as well as a brilliant new author to explore!

Torch by Tricia Copeland is the second book in the Lovelock series I would recommend reading this series in order as it continues on from book one, with the same characters and story line. This book is a fantastic follow up to book one. I was transported back into Jema’s world so quickly and easily. This book was as exciting and fast paced as the first one. I couldn’t wait to find out what was going to happen. If you are a fan of this genre then I would definitely recommend you try this series. It is well written, exciting and have characters that are so easy to get behind. I am enjoying this very much and can’t wait to see what else might be to come.
I loved reading the book Perfect by Tricia Copeland. It is a romance story that pulled me in from the beginning and didn’t let me go until I read the last page. I loved reading about the character of Chloe. She is a young woman who is driven to succeed in the fashion industry. She is intelligent and independent. She also finds love and romance knocking at her door. Will she find her happy ending? I liked reading about Chloe and felt that the author does a wonderful job in developing and making her a character that I grew to care about and wanted her to be happy. The story is told from her POV. There are lighthearted moments that made me smile. This is a story about life and romance that you will not soon forget. I also enjoyed reading about the additional characters in the book that Chloe interacts with. This is a story that you will not want to put down once you have started it. I highly recommend reading it.
