Punk was a brilliant read! From beginning to end I was completely hooked on what I was reading. Miranda is such a strong character, I really liked reading about her. There was such a great connection between her and Efrem, you could really feel it coming off the pages. I really like the authors writing, she keeps your interest throughout the story and I found myself struggling to put the book down at times as I couldn’t wait to see what happened next. I’ve dipped in and out of this series but I absolutely must make sure that I read them all. A fantastic read and one that I highly recommend.

Hero Complex was a lovely romantic read and one that I thoroughly enjoyed. The authors writing was really engaging and she created some great characters that I fell in love with straight away. Ace is one of those characters who you can’t help but fall in love with, his story was so raw and heart-breaking at times. Ivy was a wonderful character to read about too, she had endured so much loss in her life I just really felt for her. I loved the two of them together, they had such a genuine connection and they did help each other. A really beautiful story and one I would highly recommend!

This was sweet book aimed at children aged between 3 and 7. Hudson was such an adorable little boy who was always there to help other when they needed him but sometimes he forgot how to look after himself. This book shows children how important it is to look after yourself. I think the story had some really important talking points but I’m not 100% sure a 3 year old would be able to comprehend the real meaning behind the story but would absolutely be great for 5 -7 year olds in my opinion.
This was a soul puncher and an eye opener. As a mom of young kids and a step mom to older kids, I am constantly on my kids about sticking together. I am not disillusioned and maybe a little jaded in that I’m not going to force someone to have another in their life just because they’re family, BUT, siblings should be there for each other. And if I can instill this loving and supportive relationship for each other onto them then I am leaving them better for it! This collection of tales broke me, healed me, and was thought inducing to say the least. To think of what our family would look like after we are gone, to have seen for myself siblings essentially fall apart after losing our matriarch, wasnt something I thought too heavily about. This was so eloquently put together and so, so, so impactful! I felt every emotion under the sun and felt empathy grow exponentially. Great read and for moms or those who have lost their moms, this is a really good read!!

This book is fascinating. A little bit of everything: romance, BDSM, suspense, mystery and a touch of steam. I loved the characters. Ethan is a little twisted and watching him work through his issues is quite interesting. The storyline was a little glitchy in a few spots but flowed fairly smooth and it was quite good. This is an exciting story that if you like twisted adventure and romance, it’s for you.

A little of everything can be found in this story. Daniel is a vet working through his issues. He likes a little BDSM with his women. The story has lots going on. I found the characters quite fascinating and exciting. The story took a little longer to get going but once it did, BAM!! It’s a good story if you love romantic suspense with lots of drama.

I cannot get enough of this author and this series! I love the switch from Cole and Riley’s characters to Damon and Skylar. Damon and Sky are not new characters, but the spotlight is now on them. Their dynamic is very similar to Cole and Riley’s. Skylar bears this strength that most teenagers do not possess. Because of that strength, I cannot understand why she is best friends with Gia. Gia is needy, wants to rise in popularity, and is flaky.
Skylar would literally give the skin off of her back for Gia, and I do not believe that Gia would even give Sky a jacket if it was cold outside. I do not want to give too much away because the book is a quick and easy read. However, I will say it ends in a #CliffHanger so make sure you have the next one ready to read!

Wow! This is a fantastic paranormal romance. Cressida and Caravahl have a romance to remember. She’s thrust into an arranged marriage in a strange land. Caravahl has to risk it all to save his land and Cressida. The characters are very well-written. This is a love for the ages. So beautiful. The plot runs so smooth. I am amazed at how well the story flows. The chemistry sparks as the romance develops. This is flat-out a must read of this year.

Miranda is locked in a nasty divorce and is struggling with her business until one day in walks a young man looking for a job, she has a opening for, he sets to work discovering what her ex-husband and friend was up to and finds a whole heap of dog poo to unravel. Efrem helps Miranda uncover the embezzlement, but more drama follows when her stepdaughter shows up pleading for her to stay with Miranda.
As the story goes on Miranda and Efrem discover feelings for each other but with Efrem’s dark secret and Miranda’s ex-husband can the couple survive the pressures and become one with each other.
OMG, I love this series. I have devoured every book but this one I confess is my favourite as in the other books you get a glimpse of Efrem, but this book lets him shine. I love the interaction with his family and that the emotion of him being lost in a world of violence. Miranda is the quiet calm to Efrem, and the chemistry sparks off the page regarding these to beautiful characters.
As always, the story is well written and flows effortlessly drawing you in to the world of Bratva and Efrem’s reality. I hope there are more books in this series as I am not ready to give up the Popov’s just yet.

Helpful Hudson is a wonderful children’s book that teaches self-care and social skills . This is intended for readers ages 3-7. My five year old son loved this book and really felt for Hudson as he has had similar experience lately as well. We teach our children to be helpful to others but we tend to forget to tell them he importance of taking care of themselves. Follow along as hudson learns, self-care and the social skills to handle certain situations. The illustrations are great they help bring the story to life. I highly recommend reading this book look forward to reading more from this Author.

What Do Plants Say? is the first book in Alex, the Inventor series by Lois Wickstrom. This is an illustrated children’s story that includes some science on sound waves. Alex is an inventor and likes to make useful things out of unused and ‘old’ items. In this story we follow along as she brainstorms ideas for inventing a plant translator so she can listen and talk to her plants. While the story was interesting, and the pictures were on-point, I was left feeling a little disappointed and conflicted, because I love gardening and I would have been heart-broken if my child/grandchild had destroyed my garden by up-rooting as many plants as Alex did in her ‘adventure’.

Seen by Lori Nelson is the first book that I have read by this author, so I really didn’t know what to expect from one of her stories. But the cover intrigued me, and then the blurb sealed the deal, promising an original sci-fi adventure I could really sink my teeth into. So, I let my one-click finger loose and dove right in as soon as it hit my Kindle. What I found was a raw and gritty dystopian adventure with plenty of mystery, sci-fi elements, intriguing cybernetics, action, violence, murder, gory details, bloody brutality, futuristic technology & setting, politics, plots, agendas, greed, investigation, suspense, family, friendship, kidnapping, torture, a frontier-like justice system, emotion, drama, danger, betrayal, and much more. The author did a fantastic job crafting a vividly detailed world in which to set her story. Her descriptions, originality, and other clever touches brought the story to life right before my eyes. I could see this making a great movie, or mini-TV series. Mouse Mouzer isn’t your typical (almost) sixteen-year-old. She has ambitions to become a hard-hitting journalist just like her mentor. So, to accomplish that she’s on the hunt for a career-making story that will ignite her dreams. Going out with her crow shaped drone, Gossip, Mouse scours the dark alleys and violent hot spots for anything that she could use in a hard-hitting expose. The adventure begins when Mouse captures more than she bargained for with her drone camera. But to use the footage would bring life-changing consequences for her entire family, destroying her beloved family unit- so she is torn with what to do. Things soon take a dangerous turn, and Mouse finds herself in a deadly game of cat and mouse. What happens makes for a gripping read. There is more going on than first meets the eye that adds an extra element of suspense to the whole story. Ms. Nelson doesn’t let off the intensity accelerator the entire time- making for an adrenaline-fuelled read. The hits just kept coming, really putting her character/s (and me) through the wringer- I was exhausted and completely emotionally drained just reading everything they went through. I felt like I was right there, going through the wringer with them. I was completely invested in them and the outcome of the story- and couldn’t put the book down for a minute just in case I missed something. The characters were all really well-developed individuals with their own unique personalities, quirks, and flaws. I enjoyed watching them develop and grow over the course of the story as they handled all the challenges that came their way. There were the endearing characters that I loved, but there were an awful lot of horrid characters, who I detested and really wanted to see get their ‘karma’. Some did, but others, like Timothy and co, didn’t get their ‘just-desserts’!! There were also some developments that broke my heart that I really can’t get into here without giving away spoilers- but suffice to say that I was yelling at my Kindle, cursing at the author (sorry-not sorry, Ms Nelson) for doing what she did. She knows what she did!!! She toyed with my heart and made me cry!!! I loved the story, and how original and gritty it was- but there are some sensitive topics that occur throughout the story- so if you have any triggers you might want to keep this in mind- subjects such as abuse, graphic violence, gore, murder, emotional abuse, manipulation, assault, attempted rape, betrayal (and more). So, if I loved the story, then why 4 stars instead of 5- well, I was really torn by what I should rate this, but ultimately even though the book had a gripping storyline and great characters, some of the dialogue didn’t feel quite authentic, and there were a few (minor) editing issues (but not enough to really detract from my over-all enjoyment of the story)- but my main issue was that I was left with a slew of unanswered questions and a loose threads. I am hoping that means that there will be another adventure coming with Mouse, Meph, and co- that might bring the answers I am looking for. I will have to wait and see (hint, hint Ms. Nelson 😊)… I will definitely be going on a one-click spree to snap up any of Ms. Nelson’s other works to explore in the meantime. Happy Reading…

Speechless. This is the first book I have read by the talented Danielle Jacks, and I’m hooked. While the cover is certainly eye catching the synopsis is truly what pulled at my curiosity. Told from the dual perspective of Rose and Titan, the author takes the reader on the love story adventure you never knew you needed. Rose is part of the Wolfbane coven, the moonstone that was the source of their magic was stolen long ago by the Dutchmen coven. Titan is the prince and next ruler of the Dutchmen coven. With a somewhat of a slow start the book opens with Rose and four other potential suitors arriving in the Dutchmen realm as the prince has come of age and needs a wife. Titan is instantly drawn to Rose; her look and her rougher ways reveal that she is not the noblewoman she is portraying to be. The other women quickly notice the prince’s interest in Rose and when given the chance to help her leave one takes it only for it to backfire. Getting a chance at completing her mission Rose succeeds but at what cost. They both have an infatuation with each other, he is determined to keep her as his and only his while she desires to be his she has a duty to her people and her older sister. The twisted bond between the Rose and Titan is threaded between love and hate, mixed with raw attraction. Blood spilled on both sides, futures reclaimed as their own, and a connection that leaves them confused but eyes only set on one another. Titan, while in the beginning seems like he will be the ultimate villain of the story ends up being just as interesting as Rose, his growth and development becoming worthy of Rose’s affections. Whilst on the edge of my seat the ending left me feeling satisfied and hungry for my next read by this amazing author. The perfect read on a rainy Monday.

This was so much fun to have my son read to me; we’re working on reading skills, and he did really well with it. He loved the book and can’t wait for more. We haven’t read this author before, but based off this book we need to check out any others! I loved how easily it kept my son engaged, with a little suspense to it. We can’t wait to see what comes next!

Fee, Fi, Fo, Grow ! Is a amazing children’s book that children of all ages can enjoy. My son and I are huge fans of this author and have read several of her books several times. What I love most about this author is the message you learn from each story. This one is a retelling of a classic except the message is slightly different. Jacqueline and her mother are hungry and really don’t feel like eating Bessie their old dry cow. Jacqueline is on the way to the market when she passes an old man who offers her some magic beans and if they don’t grow then she can get Bessie back. When she gets back home her mom is not happy she traded the cow for the magic beans. She gets upset with herself and tosses the beans out the window and the next morning is super excited they did so she climbs all the way to the top. At the top she meets a one eyed giant. Thing’s aren’t always brighter on tbe other side. I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next. The illustrations are great and make the story come to life. We look forward to reading more from this Author.
This was my first Taylor Browning story and while the book alluded to the other two stories, it definitely made me want to check them out further! I loved how well written the characters were and how we got to see the back story on so many characters. It definitely made the story more enjoyable. I loved getting to meet Oscar and his new brother Cheddar. They definitely made the story so much more fun! I was absolutely impressed at how many different storylines were happening, but they were all important to the storyline. I love that Taylor just can’t help but get involved in a mystery while also trying to balance her professional and personal life. The author did an amazing job of weaving a story that felt mystical and realistic as well. It was a vivid cozy mystery full of amazing characters and the gorgeous background of New Mexico.

This is an interesting retelling of a fairytale sleeping beauty. I enjoyed meeting Ayo and Yi and getting to be along for their journey. Magic and Eastern kingdoms take center stage in this story. It was nice to see Asian main characters. Yi and Ayo are both strong characters and must fight hard to find their happy ever after. Their story is a sweet romance filled with a nice mix of cation and emotions. Not only do we get the main story but many of the supporting characters have their say. The plot is good but does drag in some places. The author does a nice job of bringing a new twist to an old tale.

Sleeping Love is a fantasy, MM romance bringing a fresh take to the Cinderella fairy tale. I was wondering if I would fall for this book because it is difficult to bring a fresh take to a tried and true story. This author took the story and added so many unique elements to make it her own. One element I enjoyed was the Eastern influences on the characters, setting, and world-building. Ayo and Yi are a fascinating match. One is royalty, and the other a pauper. I was rooting for them to break barriers and become so much more than friends and not be torn apart by their circumstances. If you love fairy tales, Eastern mythology, fantasy, and more, this book will not be left on your to-be-read pile long. I look forward to reading more from this author soon.

Another cute story using the scientific method. This one focuses on hearing plants making pop pop noises and recording it, slowing it down and they decipher a meaning from it! Once the meaning is discovered they have a little adventure and are able to talk back to the plants by recording what they say And speeding it up until it sounds like pop pop so the plants can understand it. Though this was cute and still followed (sort of) the scientific method of discovery and invention it did not keep my daughters attention like other books by this author, but there is plenty to keep us busy!

It’s been a really long time since I last read a KG Fletcher novel and I’m not sure why… as soon as I picked up Breathless Love, I remembered why I love reading this author. This was the third book in the Bennetts of Langston Falls series but easily read as a stand-alone. I enjoyed that the storytelling was duel perspective with both Ella Mae and Hank and how it would “back track” ever so slightly so we really did see both sides of the story. This was a great story with a lot of emotion surrounding both love and loss. As with any well written story, the plot wasn’t all rainbows and butterflies but it was realistic and heartfelt, keeping my attention from start to finish. I really look forward to catching up on the first two books in this series (and then some!)

My 6 year old loves to read so he read this to me and we loved it! What one person thinks is scary, may not be scary to someone else. And this story did such a great job in the descriptions and explanations to help visualize or even “feel” what was being talked about. I love a book my kids and I can read and have a conversation about as what’s being told can also be experienced in real life.

Wow! This book far exceeded my expectations! I don’t typically read this specific genre, but I am so glad I decided to pick this up. I read this book as a standalone and felt like I got through with little to no confusion. After finishing it though, I’m going back to pick up all the previous books in the series because it was *that* fantastic. I don’t want to spoil it for anyone, so all I will say is that this is an absolute must read. Leslie Georgeson has made it to my author watch list after this amazing book. If you enjoy romantic suspense books with a Mafia theme, you will absolutely love Punk!

I love MC books and this is a new to me author so I was excited to jump in. I liked this story but wished we could have gotten more on the MC itself but that’s me being greedy. I actually loved the strength Ava had in this and her growth in a short amount of time. Reaper was just what she needed. I hope we get to see more of this crew!
