Heartbeats and Roses: A Small Town Valentine’s Day Romance (A Hartwood Holiday Romance) by Jae Dawson was a great 5 star read.

If you like second chance romance you will get pulled into this story. Rose owns her own floral shop and she loves it. It has helped her move forward from her own heartbreak. Her favorite time of year is Valentine’s day when she has a special event.

Liam has returned home after an issue at work. He was forced to leave town years ago and he still has some feelings that need to be resolved from that night. The place he has rented for his stay is above a floral shop and brings him face-to-face with his past. He quickly realized how much he missed Rose and they started to get close again.

Will these two rekindle what they had in the past? Or will Liam’s current relationship get in the way?

Overall this was a great story. The author pulls you in with her writing and you won’t want to put it down. Both characters were great. My emotions were all over the place. Don’t Worry, I Still Hate You by Marie Skye – Review by Michelle Austin

Happily Ever AfterHappily Ever After by Piper Rayne
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Happily Ever After was a great 5 star read.
We get a mix of 21 romance stories from several great authors in this collection.
There is something for everyone, that is for sure.

My favorite was Don’t Worry, I Still Hate You by Marie Skye.
Perrie and Ash pulled me right into their story. Perrie is in Vegas for a bachelorette party. When one of her friends sign her up for a hook-up app someone very familiar to her is on it and he’s in Vegas too, Ash. Later in the evening she decides to go for it, not realizing her mistake but getting a very happy ending. Moving forward she is looking for a roommate and she gets more than she bargained for. When she gets home she meets her new roommate and lets just say it was a hawt moment for her. Shocked in several ways which includes Ash standing in her home or I should say their home.

From here things get very interesting and I couldn’t put it down until I was done. These two had so many love and hate moments. We also get a glimpse into their past and things they have in common. These two didn’t know it but they were meant for each other. Loved it and would really like to see more from these two. Maybe even go back to when they first met.

I really enjoy reading the collections, it gives me an opportunity to read new authors and favorites. I look forward to reading more from these authors and would love to see more from several of the characters as well. My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Stormy’s Thunder (Satan’s Devils MC Utah #2) by Manda Mellett was a great 5 star read.
I was pulled in right from the beginning.

Stormy disappeared from the clubhouse leaving his cut behind. The MC brothers all thought he had abandoned his club and ran. He returns with a literal “bang” and he ends up in the hospital. It appears like he has been tortured, but by who?

While he’s in the hospital the MC tries to figure out where he was, will they find the answers they are looking for?

Overall this was an edge of your seat read. I couldn’t wait to see myself just where Stormy was and get the answers along with the club. He grew on me the more the story developed. The author does a great job of pulling you right in with her writing and finally getting to see Stormy’s story was great. I would suggest reading the other books in the series so you can get the build up to this book. All of the characters were great, it was a family reunion of sorts. Crave (Clark Family #1) by Evelyn Sola was a great 5 star read.
I was pulled right in and couldn’t put it down.

Sandra is getting ready for a girls night when her mom talks her into delivering a cake for her. What she didn’t expect was to be invited to stay and meet a hot as heck man.

Jacob wasn’t thrilled about going to his mother’s birthday party but meeting Sandra made it a little easier. These two had an instant attraction and I loved how he really tried to impress her with charm. Then all heck breaks loose and Sandra sees a side of him that she doesn’t want to be a part of and she leaves the party.

He finds her a few days later, will he be able to convince her to go out with him? Are they destined for a HEA?

Overall I really enjoyed this read. We get twists and turns and I loved their chemistry.
I really felt for Jacob and the issues he was having with his brother, pure betrayal. These two were perfect for each other and I couldn’t get enough of them. Echoes–(Lucifer and the dark goddess book 1) by Nikki Broadwell was a good 5 star read.
I was pulled right into this different world by the author and couldn’t put it down.

At 15 Feirin finds herself alone with a necklace and a crescent moon tattoo on her forehead, she befriends a group of people who help her and teach her things. We jump ahead a few years, she now has a job and a relationship with bar owner Peyton and living in a future world out of control. She can’t remember who she is but has spurts of memories here and there. There is so much more to this story that I don’t want to give away. I really got the Mad Max vibe and funny enough the movie is even mentioned in conversation between characters. I Once Was Lost, But Now I’m Found: Daisy and the Olympic Animal Sanctuary Rescue
by Laura Koerber was a great 5 star read.

I had several emotional moments reading this book. I’m a HUGE dog lover and to read what these poor dogs went through at the hands of a hoarder just about killed me emotionally. Twilight put Forks on the map for most but this story has left a whole different feeling for me.

How could the town people not see what this man was doing? How could they protect him?

Daisy’s journey wasn’t easy and my heart really went out to her and the other fur babies that suffered, to see her finally get her HEA was great. I also liked how the author gave us an update on where some of the other rescues went. I will warn you that pictures and some things mentioned may be hard for some to see/read, I was in tears. This also opens your eyes to making sure you know just where your donations go and what rescue groups you support. Proceeds from this book are going to the OAS rescues which is great.

Jordan’s Justice: A New Adult Sport Romance (Tessa and Jordan Book 2) by T. Christensen was a great 5 star read. I was so excited to get the next book in the series, I made the mistake of starting the book when I went to bed, I was up until 4am because I couldn’t put it down.

Tessa has moved on with her life and is doing the best she can. When she comes face-to-face with Jordan at an event she is shocked and after their encounter she runs home. When he makes an unexpected appearance at her door she agrees to meet him and talk. There is another twist when she is at work and sees him walking in with her boss, that’s when things hit the fan and he learns the truth.

Needless to say there is so much going on that my head was spinning. My heart broke for Tessa with all that she was put through and how she was treated. I have to say I really really did not like Jordan for most of the book and don’t get me started on his mother. There are so many ugly cry moments in this book so keep the Kleenex handy. One of the nights was a little scary for Carissa due to her ex getting handsy and aggressive but luckily Lorenzo showed up at the right time. When she goes to tell her brother what happened, she sees the man walking out with her brother. The man happens to be a conservation officer. There is something about him that pulls Revel in, but another rule is the wolves can’t have a human for a mate. But she can’t help herself, she starts to see him on the sly.

I was pulled in right from the beginning and had a late night of reading because I didn’t want to put it down.

Raven gets some shocking news from her bosses children which includes that she is now unemployed. She is devastated due to the recent project she was working on and worried about her co-workers and their jobs. To get away she goes to her beach house for the weekend. What she didn’t expect was Jack Baines waking her up, and let’s say that was an interesting moment that had me LOL.

Jack was looking for a downtime weekend to regroup after taking over another company. He hasn’t been happy with how his stepfather has been running things and has plans for when he takes over. He didn’t expect to find Raven at the home he had rented for the weekend.

They both decided to try and share the house for the weekend. The attraction between them was too much and they have a very steamy evening that turns into a weekend thing. When a storm hit’s things take a dangerous twist and we get an even bigger glimpse into the hunky man. There is so much more to this read than two people falling in love, there are some things from the past that come up and we get another HUGE twist that throws Raven for a loop. Adeline is graduating college and heading out of town to go work in Italy. a sorority sister is going on maternity and she will be working in her place for a few months. She has a goal and this will help her get to those goals.

Stone is a business man and is currently renovating a hotel and has been having some strange dreams. When his new intern starts he’s not sure what to think at first. The poor girl is clumsy and the way these two first met was interesting and I felt for Adeline when she tripped and fell in his office, I was embarrassed for her and LOL at the same time. When there is a twist regarding a hotel property he has his eye on, he offers a contract to Adeline. She agrees to be his fake fiance, but will they be able to keep the feelings fake?
