The Fat Girl’s Guide to Loving Your Body by K.L. Montgomery – Review by Michelle Mulvey

The Fat Girl's Guide to Loving Your BodyThe Fat Girl’s Guide to Loving Your Body by K.L. Montgomery
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This author has been one of my favorite authors for quite sometime. This wasn’t one of my favorites by her but, I thought this book was ok. This book can be very helpful for just about anyone. There’s a lot of useful information and processes that if understood and followed one can learn how to love themselves. The author has a few pages where she wants you to keep a journal and gives you assignments.
This book isn’t just for the “ fat girls “ the book touches on a lot of different body images. It’s just a way to help you learn to love yourself.

Second Chance (The Flowers In December Trilogy, book 3) by Jane Suen – Review by Michelle Mulvey

Second Chance (Flowers in December #3)Second Chance by Jane Suen
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Second Chance: The Conclusion of the Flowers in December Trilogy by Jane Suen was a good read. Connor and Mary Ann have had their share of heartache and confusion. Now that Connor has decided to quit his job and leave the big city will he and Mary Ann be able to pick up where they left off or is to late for them to have a happy ending. I enjoyed reading about this couple and the obstacles they were faced with. What will happen when they are face to face again after so many months of silence. Mary Ann is one of my favorite characters. She’s just the average down to earth, hard working girl just looking for love. You won’t be disappointed reading this trilogy

Amy’s Santa (Satan’s Devils MC Second Generation #1) By Manda Mellett – Review by Michelle Mulvey

Amy's Santa (Satan's Devils MC Second Generation #1)Amy’s Santa by Manda Mellett
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Amy’s Santa is the first book I’ve read by this author and I enjoyed the book. I wasn’t sure exactly what was going to happen after reading about when Amy has no choice but to leave the compound and flee to Phoenix.
Amy and Drew were always attached at the hip growing up. Unfortunately, there were to many years between them so they were unable to bring their relationship past friendship. As the years went on the feelings were there for both of them but that didn’t matter.
When Amy walks in to catch Drew in a compromising position, she knows she need to get away…far away! She decided to go away to school and become a nurse. Now she is coming home for the holidays and brings one of her good friends home with her. Amy doesn’t know where should would be today if it weren’t for Xander. He saved her….rescued her when she needed him to. She knows by going home to spend time with her dad and the rest of the MC family is going to be hard. She is a shell of the person they know her to be. She’s carrying a secret and she is afraid if anyone finds out her secret they will blame her.
Xander is cornered by Amy’s dad Heart ( Amy’s Dad ) and has no choice but to come clean and tell him what the problem with Amy is all about.
Will Amy’s dad understand what happened and stand behind his little girl?
What will happen when Drew and Amy see each other. Will seeing Amy light a fire under him? Will Drew finally settle down or with the club president remain single?
I thought this was a good book. I’m not a fan of MC books because I can’t deal with trying to remember who is who but this book wasn’t so hard.

Naughty & Nice (Spicetopia #4) by Phoebe Alexander – Review by Michelle Mulvey

Naughty & NiceNaughty & Nice by Phoebe Alexander
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Naughty & Nice by Phoebe Alexander is book 4 in the Spicetopia series and definitely my favorite in the series so far. Micah and Natalie couldn’t be any more opposite. Sometimes opposites attract though right?
Natalie is the event planner and she is currently planning the biggest event to happen at Spicetopia. Cy and Jolie’s wedding!!! Very exciting. We have watched these two grow since book one. They have had a lot of stuff happen to them and those around them but, it has only made them stronger.

Micah is the person who will marry the happy couple and he comes in about a week early. What is a man of the cloth to do in an “Adult Only” amusement park? Well Natalie and Micah become quite close and she shows him around the park. The first 2 days or so, they stick to the calmer things for Micah to see. Then a challenge is made for him to let loose and not be so closed minded. All bets were off after that. Natalie and Micah got to spend some time together as two average people. Not an event planner and a minister.

Everything should be happy and wonderful with this big wedding about to happen but, Mr and Mrs Sweet were there and problems started occurring. Natalie planted some seeds in their heads and it was up to them to listen to what she said or ignore it. Things couldn’t go on the way they were.

This author has become one of my “go-to” authors. She gives us alittle romance, heat, drama, and of course some bumps in the road.

Courage of Us (Code of Honor Book 1) by Brooke May – Review by Michelle Mulvey

Courage of UsCourage of Us by Brooke May
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Courage of us by Brooke May was an absolute great read. I was hooked from the very first page. The author gives the reader happy parts, sad parts and funny parts. This book has it all. I almost felt like I knew the characters.

Duke and Patience have been best friends forever. Their parents are best friends and they used to bathe Duke and Patience together when they were younger. Patience has no female friends but her group of guys are all she needs. Duke and Patience obviously have a stronger bond but all of them protect her as if they are her older brothers.
They have graduated and most of the guys are all headed off in the next few days to different branches of the military.
Patience chooses one special night to confess to Duke that her feelings run much stronger then friendship. The only problem with that is, when she wakes up he is gone. She doesn’t know if she ruined her friendship with her best friend over one crazy night or what.

Duke hides the fact that he too is joining the military. He doesn’t tell Patience his plans. Now he has been away for 7 years and has thought of her every single day since he left. He can’t believe she went and married the loser she was dating even after the night they spent together.

When Duke finally comes home for good, he runs into Patience that first night. Can they pick up where they left off or is their friendship gone after what he did to her? A lot has happened in the last 7 years. Patience has baggage, Duke has baggage, lots of secrets. So much has happened. Will their chemistry they always had get them back to where they should be or is 7 years just to long to be away from each other.

I absolutely loved this book. Patience is one strong girl who can do anything she sets her mind to.

Running In Snow: A Holiday Novella by Renee Regent – Review by Michelle Mulvey

Running In Snow, A Holiday NovellaRunning In Snow, A Holiday Novella by Renee Regent
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

2 short novellas by Renee Regent will leave you with a smile on your face. Both of these novellas are sweet happy reads just in times for Christmas that you will love

Noelle has had a rule to never celebrate Christmas since she was a little girl. She never does gift exchanges with friends or coworkers but this year she was invited to her boyfriends family celebration. She feels a bit uncomfortable for a little while until the moment arises and she goes running. To many memories are brought back to the surface and she cannot handle it. Will she make it back to Logan and have a happy ending or was this trip a big mistake. Loved this book. Loved the characters…and you will too!

Eve’s Hope
Last year Eve had a horrible New Year’s Eve so this year she plans on staying home in comfy clothes watching an X-Files marathon. Now she finds herself bundled up in her warmest clothes including a parka because she has no heat and no one is able to come fix it for her. Suddenly, her hot neighbor knocks on the door and invites her over to his house for a little get together. She wants to decline because it is a last minute invite but at least he has working heat.
The last person she expects to see over at Kirks house is a guy she had spent a night with not to long ago. She tries hiding from him but somehow he found her and was harassing her about getting together again. Can this New Year’s Eve get any worse? Sure it can but it can also get a lot better.

2 great reads you will be glad you read. Renee Regent is an amazing author and these novellas are no different from her great writing style.

Summer Break: A Joe Football NovellaSummer Break: A Joe Football Novella by Autumn Sand
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Summer Break by Autumn Sand is a great Novella. This series should be read in order to get the full story of what is going on. This is a continuation of Favor and Brice. It’s a couple I have grown to love. They have not had an easy time but any obstacles have brought them closer together with a stronger bond.
While on summer break they find out some information that can tear their group of close knit friends apart. I’m dying right now worrying about what will happen.
I have been a huge fan of this author since the first book I’ve read of hers. This series is a bit different from what I’ve read of hers but, I love it and cannot wait to see what happens next.

Hula Girl by Lara Ward Cosio – Review by Michelle Mulvey

Hula GirlHula Girl by Lara Ward Cosio
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Hula Girl by Lara Ward Cosio is a page turners for sure. I found myself saying ok, one more chapter before bed quite a few times. Ava is sent On a tropical vacation by her boss. She’s not used to sitting around doing nothing and is counting the hours until her unplanned vacation comes to an end so she can get back to work.
One morning she meets Ford as he’s going to do what he does best…surf!! They exchange a few words and she can’t help to stand there watching him for a few minutes. There is some sort of pull between them…They have an instant attraction to each other. They spend a few days getting to know each other and Ava cannot believe how easy it is to get along with Ford inside and outside of the bedroom. They decide since it’s just a vacation fling, they do not need to talk about the real world. They have a steamy and fun few days until Ava goes back home and faces her real world issues.

What will happen when their paths cross again. Will they be able to pick up where they left off or will it be weird for them? I enjoyed reading about Ava and Ford in LA just as much as Maui.
This book was a great read. The first I’ve read by this author and hope to read more by her in the future.

Risking Everything is a anthology of some steamy reads involving first responders. Each one is steamier and hotter then the next. They were all great reads and can’t find anything I didn’t like about any of them. I can be honest and tell you my favorite was my K.L Montgomery and involved a trooper named Jenna and a CRU agent named Trey who used to be a trooper. That one had such a great storyline that had me reading page after page to find out what would happen next. Such a great anthology you don’t want to miss out on. Grab your copy today

This is the first book I’ve read by this author. I thought the writing was good but the book just did not interest me. It was very confusing. Every other chapter the person was called a different name Ana, Tati, and a few others. I tried to get into the story. I think the author did a good job with putting it together but, it just wasn’t a type of book I would normally read.

Fire & Ice (Spicetopia #3) by Phoebe Alexander – review by Michelle Mulvey

Fire & Ice (Spicetopia #3)Fire & Ice by Phoebe Alexander
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Fire & Ice is book 3 in the Spicetopia Series. Each book gets better and better. I absolutely love this series. These books should be read in order but do not leave you with cliffhangers. I have grown to love Phoebe Alexander’s book style so I get excited when I see she has a new book out.
In fire & Ice there are a few of the same characters but a few new ones as well. Of course Cy and Jolie are back and ready to open up this new adult park they have been working on.
Neve and Enya both work for Cy as the head of security and the PR rep. They have a love / hate relationship. Neve seems to have a personality of a wet mop and Enya is a bubbly happy person who likes to talk. While on tour trying to promote the new park, something happens between Neve and Enya.

When they have a test run at the park for the employees, those two seem to have a little fun together and realize they have a bit more in common then they think. Neve has a past and dark secrets he shares with no one and Enya is out of my his closed off vibes he puts out.
Someone has hacked into the parks technology and us out to destroy it before it opens. Cy and Neve have to go to the mainland to meet with a reporter about the things that have happened but, it doesn’t go as planned. Both Enya and Neve have to be smart about things to save their lives and get away from whoever is holding them hostage.

I was shocked by the turn of events in this book and loved the suspense. This book gave you everything you need for a great read. Cannot wait for book 4.

Run from love (bowser belles book 2) by teddy cat Hester – review by Michelle Mulvey

Run from Love: A Bowser Belles Sweet Contemporary RomanceRun from Love: A Bowser Belles Sweet Contemporary Romance by Teddy Cat Hester
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This book is about Scarlett and Nick. Scarlett has a 6 month rule. It’s long enough to have some fun but, not long enough to have to meet each others coworkers and family. Nick is really into Scarlett and knows his 6 month expiration date is on the horizon. When Nick is required to attend a dinner date with the partners of his firm, he knows he has to show up. Nick is up for a promotion to become partner and is told to bring his girlfriend. He’s afraid to ask Scarlett because he knows she is just looking for an excuse to end their relationship. When he convinces Scarlett to go, everything goes great. Nick couldn’t have asked for a better outcome.
Scarlett also ends up meeting Nick’s son. She tries hard to distance herself from Noah but finds it impossible. Especially when her two dogs Daffy and Dilly love him so much.
Will Nick be able to convince Scarlett to throw her 6 month rule out the window and just be happy with him and their relationship? I thought this book was such a sweet read. I enjoyed reading this book and was glad it kept me interested from the beginning till the end.

Fisher Men On the X (Book III)Fisher Men On the X by Rebel Nicks O’Dey
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

The Fisher Men On The X is the first book I’ve read by this author. I thought the book was well written and somewhat captivating. This book has the reader on an emotion roller coaster throughout every chapter. Sweet innocent, Becca is finally grown up and she’s not the brainwashed little girl the Seh thought she was. She was such a weak, character in the beginning but turned out to be just like Zack calls her…a total bada$$!!! I liked to see how the story progressed. Everyone has monsters in the closet. Even those who seem so strong. The fisher men can save everyone but will settle for saving one at a time.

Battling Beckett: A Contemporary Step Brother Romance by T. Christensen – Review by Michelle Mulvey

Battling Beckett: A Contemporary Step Brother RomanceBattling Beckett: A Contemporary Step Brother Romance by T. Christensen
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I have read step brother books from tons of different authors and this book stands out from the others. Most step brother books have more heat then anything. Battling Beckett stands by itself in comparison. Beckett lives with his dad and they are very comfortable. All his life his dad has always told him to becareful because women will be after him because of his money. Beckett goes to an elite high school, he’s the most popular guy in school and the quarterback to top it off. Before Beckett knows what’s happening, his dad is engaged and his fiancé Vivian and her teenager daughter Greer are moving in. Beckett keeps his eye on them and doesn’t really give them the time of day because he thinks they are out to get their money.
Beckett is expected to be nice to Greer and help her along. She sticks out at her new high school like a sore thumb. She is very uncomfortable there. Once everyone knows she knows Beckett, she watched even more by her classmates. Beckett’s team members seem to be smitten with Greer and Beckett doesn’t like it one bit.
Greer is attacked in the bathroom one day and as soon as Beckett hears about it, he changes his toon and tries to protect Greer any chance he can. That only brings more attention to Greer and whomever is out to get her gets even more angry because she wants Beckett for herself.
This book had the reader feeling a lot of different things. I disliked the way Beckett behaved in the beginning but as the book went on I loved him. He is an honest stand up guy and will do anything for this he cares for. Greer and her mom Vivian are very stubborn and work for just about everything they have and refuse handouts. I felt horrible for all the torture Greer endured because of Beckett. I cannot wait to read more from this author. 5 stars isn’t enough for this book.

The Men of Holmby Hills: Chase (The Holmby Hills Series Book 1) by Allyson Simonian – Review by Michelle Mulvey

The Men of Holmby Hills: ChaseThe Men of Holmby Hills: Chase by Allyson Simonian
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Chase: The Men of Holmby Hills is the first book I’ve read by this author and I can honestly say, I cannot wait to read more by her. This book grabbed my attention from the very beginning and kept me interested.
Chase is an actor who has it all. He has all the money he ever needs, he finds a different woman to keep him company whenever he wants and he seems happy.
When a story pops up that Chase was with a minor, he denies it. The club he went to was a twenty-one and over club. The girl must’ve had a fake Id. Now Chase is worries about his image. He may not get cast in certain shows / movies because of the bad publicity he is getting even though it was not his fault.
Carrie is filling in for Susan over in wardrobe. Chase is immediately thinking Carrie is perfect for his image. She’s not bad on the eyes either. Once Chase and Carrie start seeing each other things move quickly. They are from different worlds, they want different things and Carrie starts second guessing things. Someone is out to get Chase and somehow they are always finding info to go to the press with. When i found out who it was I couldn’t believe it. This book was well written, the character were all great,..most of them anyway. Cannot wait to read more by this author.

FriendFriend by M.L. Sparrow
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Friend by M.L. Sparrow is Book 3 in the series. I’m not sure if maybe I should’ve read the others before reading this book but, I don’t think that is the case. The main characters I. This book are Jet and Terri. Terri was attacked one night when she was out alone. She was usually with her friend Jet but that night he was home. Luckily for her Ben and his dog Jester were there and scared off the attacker but unfortunately it wasn’t soon enough. However, Terri feels Jester and Ben saved her life.

Jet and Terri have been friends….best friends for years. All this time, Terri has had a big crush on Jet but he never knew and they were just friends. Finally during spring break, most of the crew goes home except, you guessed it…Terri and Jet stayed on campus. Jet spends a lot of time helping Terri overcome her fear and keep her busy. While they are out Jet finally realizes he has real feeling for her. Feelings that are more then friendship. Will Terri take Jet seriously or will she think he’s just doing this because of what happened?
I thought this book was well written but, it couldn’t keep my attention. I feel like the pages were drawn out and found myself putting my kindle down and taking a break after every chapter.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Virtue and Vice is Book 2 in the Spicetopia series. This book had the pages of my kindle melting as I was reading it.
A few characters reappeared in this book that were in book 1. Jolie and Cy are back and meet another couple named Moon and Katja Seung. The met in Greece and had a crazy night together. Moon and Katja are swingers and are very happily married. They just like a little variety. Moon and Cy kept in contact and have plans to open up an adult themed park. Cy has millions of dollars and can afford just about anything his heart desires. This book had a lot of heat in it. There was also some sadness and then the big wow factor. I was like no way!!! The author definitely knows how to throw a wrench in everything and keep her readers on the edge of their seats. I thought this book was well written and a great addition to the series. A Perfect FitA Perfect Fit by Zoe Lee
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

A perfect fit was such a good read for me. Daisy Rhys and Dunk McCoy ran into each other at a friends wedding and had an amazing night together. Dunk was so drunk that he thought it was the best dream he ever had until his friends told him otherwise. Now he is desperate to find his Cinderella.
When Dunk finally figures out who it is, he tries to be romantic and takes Daisy out on a date. Dunk is the hot, adorable, sweet guy in town that everyone knows and everyone loves. Daisy is the sweet innocent girl who got married and divorced at a young age. Dunk is known for his time spent with the ladies. Can Dunk show Daisy he really enjoys spending time with her or will it be over before it begins.
The chemistry between Dunk and Daisy is great. They have an awesome time together but, when Dunk realizes he is really into her and decides she doesn’t have enough time for him, will he be willing to take the time she offers or will he become needy and cranky and do something drastic? Luckily a mutual friend Chase is there to step in and help fate run its course!
I thought this book was a great read. I loved the book from the very beginning.

Not so wrong is Book 2 in the Love Grows series. Melanie and Spencer hit it off right from the beginning. This book kept me entertained from the first page. Both main characters were very likable for me. Spencer is a billionaire who has everything he could ever want except someone to spend more then one night with. Melanie has been trying to get her group to the big leagues and has decided it’s just not in the cards for her. One thing Spencer and Melanie have in common aside from the desire to be with each other is music. Spencer loves to compose music and Melanie loves to sing. Will Melanie be able to write the words for Spencer’s music? Melanie is about to go home and help her sister take care of her mom and kids. Will Spencer and Melanie find true love together or will Melanie leave and never look back? This was a great read that goes quickly. My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Sugar & Spice by Phoebe Alexander is just like her style of book. A great storyline with some drama and a lot of heat.
In this book, Cy is the youngest son of Mr and Mrs Sweet who are the owners of Sweetopia. The workers of Sweetopia are arranging a strike so they bribe Cy to go undercover since no one has really seen him at the park. Cy has to go work a regular job undercover as Marcus Young and find out who is behind everything along with when and where the secret meeting will be. Cy never expected to lay eyes on a woman and be addicted to her immediately. Jolie is The Red Velvet Queen and as soon as they meet, the chemistry is off the charts.
Cy has secrets he’s keeping from Jolie and Jolie has her own secrets she is keeping from Cy. What will happen when secrets are exposed. Will Cy be able to turn his back and go to Greece like he planned or will something happen to keep him from going? This is a story you don’t want to miss out on.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Game Changer by Sylvie Stewart was a great read for me. I have read a few books by this author and have loved everything I read so far. This was no different for me. This book had all the feels. There was happy, sad, scared, anxiety and heat.
Poppy James leaves Savannah for NYC to follow her dreams. She meets Mac who is tall, dark, sexy and tatted but he’s very grumpy. They first see each other when Poppy is caught looking in his window staring at his sexiness while he is working out. Poppy never thought her first subject she would need to interview would be none other then that big, hulking man. Luckily for Poppy, Mac never does interviews but one look at her and he changes his mind. Poppy and Mac have a lot of chemistry and all it takes is a visitor from Savannah to get that ball rolling.

Poppy and Mac make a great couple. She gets him to loosen up at times and he loves her sassy attitude almost as much as he loves her sexy body. Mac has reasons for his grumpiness which you will find out about in the book. What will happen when one of Mac’s closest friends who he trusts more then anyone else sets him up and blames someone else. Will Poppy and Mac be able to overcome all of the bad stuff being done? Loved this book. You don’t want to miss out on this 5 star read!

The Arrangement Duet Box Set by Madison Quinn – Review by Michelle Mulvey

The Arrangement Duet Box SetThe Arrangement Duet Box Set by Madison Quinn
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This duet is made up of two very good installments which I was hooked on from the very beginning. The main characters are from two different worlds. They couldn’t be more different if the author tried. Kenzie Rose and Nicholas Parker met one night while Kenzie is on a break going to get a coffee. She works 2 jobs and has little to no time to sleep. She has a studio apartment in a really bad area and takes the subway wherever she goes. When a friend / client named Bridget she is a personal shopper for offers her a chance to make more money, while being safe and not doing anything illegal she gives it a shot.
Nicholas Parker is a billionaire playboy who is with a different woman at every social event he goes to. The same woman is never spotted on his arm twice. When his business is in jeopardy because of his personal life, he must do something to rectify it. That is when he decides to give it a shot with Bridget. The last person he expects to be his escort is none other then the woman he can’t get out of his head…the woman who him and Carter soaked that night all those mo the ago.

In the second installment things go a littler further between Kenzie and Nicholas. Both of them have a past they isn’t picture perfect but they must move on. Will they be able to move on together? Will they be able to save PFS? This duet will have you hooked from the very beginning. Kenzie is such a strong character. Nicholas couldn’t have found anyone better to help with his image

The characters were very likable. What were the odds of Samantha Coldwell and Ben Nash crossing paths again. The chemistry between them was off the charts. The Trouble With Paradise (A Madeline Dawkins Mystery Book 4) by Cynthia Hamilton – Review by Michelle Mulvey

The Trouble with Paradise (Madeline Dawkins #4)The Trouble with Paradise by Cynthia Hamilton
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The Trouble With Paradise by Cynthia Hamilton is part of a great series. I have been reading this series in order and have loved everything so far. The author is such a talented writer. These books are loaded with suspense. I keep saying ok one more chapter, let me see where this is going to go and then forget it, another door opens up and I’m still reading a few chapters later.
Two mean are dead. One by suicide and one by a tragic accident where the wife is arrested and blamed for his murder. Mike and Madeline are amazing PI’s and are now on both cases. They investigate every angle
and scenario to find out The Who, what, why, when and how. These two characters are awesome to read about and I love how they are best friends and sometimes more.
Looking forward to more by this author.

Aiko (The Heartstrings Series Book 1) by Brooke May – Review by Michelle Mulvey

AikoAiko by Brooke May
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Aiko – A Heartstrings Novel by Brooke May was a 4 star read for me. The book was about Cupid and his angels he has chosen to find love for humans. Aiko has had the worst possible luck in helping humans find love. She was recently found in the park watching a man name Alejandro make a fool of himself begging a woman not to walk away from him.
Well Aiko is called home by mother who really isn’t her mother but, is Cupid’s right-hand angel who acts like the mother. Brielle is the sweet loving mother figure of the sisters.
When Aiko speaks with Briella she finds out she can now take on assignments…her next assignment is Alejandro Gomez.
Aiko feels like she is fighting a losing battle with this guy. She has seen him in action and knows this will be a lot of work.
Aiko finds two possible women for Al to date. One is a perfect match and the other she is using to show Al the difference. Will Aiko be able to pull this off or will Al end up either with the wrong woman or possibly single? Aiko is being trusted with this task because Cupid and Briella both believe in her.
