Beginnings and Endings: A Selection of Short StoriesBeginnings and Endings: A Selection of Short Stories by Jane Suen
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Beginnings and Endings was 4 super short stories. I almost with there was a bit more to them. I think they were way to short to base an opinion off of. I think this was about 35 pages in total and can be read in one sitting. It took me about 20-25 mins to read all 4. What I did read was good but just felt like it brought new meaning to the word short story lol. This author is not new to me and I have read many books by her and enjoyed just about all of them. Looking forward to more by this author.

Mr. Nice Guy (Pierce Brothers Book 1) by Belinda Williams – Review by Michelle Mulvey

Mr. Nice Guy (Pierce Brothers, #1)Mr. Nice Guy by Belinda Williams
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Mr. Nice Guy was such a great read and I can’t say enough good stuff about it. Chelsea is the little sister of Tom’s best friend and when she needed a place to stay, Tom took her in. Typical book..just like all the others, right…..WRONG!
Chelsea dates loser after loser until one night her best friend schemes up a plan for her to date a nice guy for once. Who else would be perfect to play that part aside from Tom? Only one problem, Tom is extremely attracted to Chelsea. When she sees him at the beach with no shirt on and he sees her in that itty bitty bikini, the reader expects it to be done…..NOPE!
They are supposed to date for one week. The first few dates are just a nightmare lol. Also, Tom has a lot of baggage he still hasn’t overcome yet. These two are absolutely perfect for eachother but what if, they both end up having real feelings for eachother and then it doesn’t work out. They are friends and roommates. Is it worth losing what they have? Will they ever find out if it’s worth a shot? You have to read this 5* read to find out. I loved it and cannot wait for more.

Moonlit Kiss (A Venice Romance) (Moonlit Destination Series) by Amy McKinley – Review by Michelle Mulvey

Moonlit Kiss (A Venice Romance)Moonlit Kiss by Amy McKinley
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Moonlit Kiss by Amy McKinley was a very good read with a good storyline and good characters. I have read other books by this author that I loved but, didn’t have the same reaction to this one. However, I did enjoy the book but, it took me a few chapters to get into it and it was a slow burn for me. I guess that’s a good thing because as your reading, you think eh…it’s ok but then it gets good lol

The main characters Gianna and Sergio have never met before but once Sergio steps in to help Gianna when she falls there is an instant attraction. They feel like they have met before but, neither of them could remember meeting. Gianna has never been to Venice but everything seems so familiar to her. Even back streets she takes without having to look at the map.
The main reason Gianna is in Venice is for a job to restore an old painting. She jumped at the chance to do it. Then she realizes one panel isn’t finished. Who will finish the original painting.
I’m sure you will enjoy this read. I’m glad I kept reading to see what the book was about.
This book is a stand alone and can be read as one but the other books in the series are definite “don’t want to miss out on” books.

Secure Decision (Chase Security Series Book 5) by R.L. Dunn – Review by Michelle Mulvey

Secure Decision (Chase Security Series Book 5)Secure Decision by R.L. Dunn
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Secure Decision is Book 5 in the series. Each book is great on its own and doesn’t not need to be read in order but it makes sense if you can to do so.

West Crockett is running the new training facility and has so much on his plate when he meets Ellie. He saves her from a car wreck and immediately the chemistry is there. However, Wes is one of Ellie’s bosses so how is that going to play out? Ellie West is now running the Equine Therapy Program. She hits a lot of bumps in the the road. People working under her try to bully her and make fun of her and how she got her position but that’s the least of her worries.

Ellie is running from a very crazy and dangerous past. Can she outrun her past or has it caught up with her? Will she be able to walk away safe and sound? Then there is also Wes….will he be able to safe Ellie from her crazy past and save himself too? This book has everything you could want in a great read. Action….lots of action, suspense, great friendships, romance and a great storyline.

Cannot wait for more in the series!

Kissing Scars by Jim Shomos – Review by Michelle Mulvey

Kissing ScarsKissing Scars by Jim Shomos
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Kissing Scars wasn’t a book I would typically read. It took me a while to read it even though it was a short novella. I thought the writing was very good and the characters were very well liked. I’m not sure why I had a hard time getting into it but it was of no fault of the author. This was the first book I have read by him and wasn’t really sure if I was going to be into the book or not.

It was a sweet read about 2 romantics who end up falling for each other. They are very different. There’s a big age difference between the two and they are on different paths. Will they be able to make it work or is there just to
much that they cannot see past? Again I thought it was very well written and I give the book 4 stars.

Love UnexpectedLove Unexpected by Marina Hanna
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is the first book I’ve read by this author but, will not be the last. The author won me over with this read.
I loved it, loved the characters and the way the book just flowed. I did want to punch Adam a time or two but hey, it’s not a great read without that.
Jules is such a sweet fun loving character but she is one feisty thing and she doesn’t take anyone’s garbage. She gives it as good as she gets it. When she spots a tall dark and handsome guy at her local bar she never expected what would happen next or what would happen on her first day at her new job. This was a great read!!! I cannot wait to read more by this author…..soon!!

Date Night is about 2 people who have had a working relationship via phone calls and emails for years. Both Hannah Banana aka Hannah Brently and Kyle Randall have had really bad luck with love and Valentine’s Day. Here they are having a meeting in person after so many years and both are attracted to eachother. They end up going on a dinner date to discuss work Hannah will be doing for Kyle. They end up being very happy spending time together and find it very easy to talk to.

Hannah runs into someone she knows at one of Kyles hotels but Kyle does what he can to get her not to think about it.
When Hannah wakes up one morning with a note from Kyle she lets her mind get the best of her and automatically thinks the worst. Luckily for Hannah she has a great best friend who helps her work thru lots of things. Will Kyle and Hannah be able to have a personal relationship or will they just be casual business friends with the occasional date night?
I thought this book was very well written and I liked most of the characters. All except Kirk!

This book kept me entertained from the very first page until the last sentence. I absolutely loved this book and the characters. There was a lot of action and suspense in this book. At one point I was like wait….what???? I couldn’t believe it!
Dereck is one of the main characters and he is following / protecting Layla who happens to work as a dancer at a club but there’s so much more going on. Dereck and his crew are there to try and find a missing dancer named Bryanna. Layla is not only good friends with her but also roommates with her. Love by Design (The Meraki Series Book 2) by Effie Kammenou – Review by Michelle Mulvey

Love by Design (The Meraki series, #2)Love by Design by Effie Kammenou
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Love by design is book 2 in the series and I absolutely loved reading this book. This is an enemies to lovers sort of read and the characters were so real and so likable. There were times where I wanted to yell at the characters or one in particular but, aside from that I loved reading this story. The author did a great job with the writing and kept her readers interested from page 1.
I thought it was odd how Nicholas just shows up at Mia’s family home like he does but, her family seemed to welcome him in each time.
Mia and Nicholas are working together on a magazine and from the moment Mia had seen him at a gala ( before being transferred to his magazine ) she thought he was the hottest thing on two feet. When she finds out she will be working side by side with him she doesn’t know how she’s going to be able to do her job. It doesn’t help that they bring out the worst bin eachother and he’s always snapping at her. Thank goodness for Penelope ( the older sister of Nicholas ) she keeps him in line most of the time.
Then the author throws us for a loop when we find out that Mia and Nicholas had both met many years ago….WHAT??? absolutely loved this read. Grab your copy today!

Twisted Throttle (Satan’s Devils MC Second Generation #3) by Manda Mellett – Review by Michelle Mulvey

Twisted Throttle (Satan's Devils MC Second Generation #3)Twisted Throttle by Manda Mellett
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Noah is all grown up and is a big heathy strong man now. He’s capable of just about anything as the new enforcer of the Satan’s Devils. What happens when Throttle ( Noah ) goes to the Wheel Inn and runs into an old friend Gwen? Technically she was his sisters close friend from childhood. Now both Noah and Gwen are all grown up and mature.
Throttle likes to get around and ever see the same girl twice but one girl doesn’t seem to get the message.

Gwen is attacked badly one night walking to her car after leaving her shift at the Wheel Inn. Being the Wheel Inn belongs to the Satan’s Devils it is up to them to figure things out and try to find out who attacked Gwen.

The Dray twins Cedar and Oak are nothing more then a thorn in their side. Are they capable of what has been going on? The attack was only the beginning. So much more happens as days pass. There is so much going on in this book, you can’t blink or you may miss something.

I’m not a real big fan of MC books but this book kept me interested and reading more pages per sitting. I absolutely love Throttle and what happens in this book. I can’t go into detail without giving to much away but it was a real good read!

Loyalty & LiesLoyalty & Lies by Phoebe Alexander
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is book 6 in the series. I absolutely love how the author pulled characters from a different series and put them in this series. Never would’ve expected that.
Calvin and Paisley Mitchell are going to Spicetopia for their anniversary. It was a surprise trip Calvin planned but there’s no place in the world that Paisley would enjoy more. Things do not go exactly as planned. Everything isn’t always as it seems. Calvin and Paisley’s trust in eachother will be tested on this short trip. Will they be able to overcome everything that happens or will jealousy win like planned by others.
Always love when this author comes out with new books and I absolutely loved this one and the author nailed it!!! Great Characters, great storyline. Loved it all! From beginning to end, I was obsessed to see what was going to happen next. Grab your copy today!

Secure Her (The Chase Security Series Book 4) by R.L. Dunn – Review by Michelle Mulvey

Secure Her (Chase Security #4)Secure Her by R.L. Dunn
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Secure Her is book 4 in the series. I have read the others in the series but this one is by far, my favorite!!! The two main characters are Zach Wentworth and Saoirse Kennedy. I was shocked to see them go undercover together. Just thought it was odd how they met and then weeks later they are going in together to take down the human trafficking business that has killed many men, women and children along with some precious undercover agents.
They must work together and get in character so no one suspects a thing.
These two make such a cute couple reading about them and I swear I love them.
This book definitely will keep you flipping the pages until late at night because there is so much going on and so much suspense that you need to know what happens next.
You definitely want to go grab a copy of this today. Great read!

Professor Valentine was a student – teacher short romance. I thought the book was ok but felt it was lacking something. Cassandra was a student and started to have feelings for a professor who was going thru a divorce and made her feelings known after embarrassing herself in his office.
Diego keeps pushing Cassie away and even makes up lies to try to get her to move on so she doesn’t ruin her education. This was the first book I’ve read by this author.

Seconds (Internet Famous, #6)Seconds by Cam Johns
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Seconds is a book about second chances. I actually really enjoyed reading this little quickie. Being a short book sometimes it can skip out on important details. This one sure didn’t. This book gave the reader everything one needs to read a great book.
Braxton is going thru something terrible. Absolutely terrible! He doesn’t even know how he’s going to get thru it without all the answers. He has had no idea what was going on with Phoenix. He has since ran into “The one who got away” seems everyone has secrets and poor Braxton is always getting his heart broken. I’m so glad he had Roselyn there to try to help him through everything he is feeling and finding out.
Braxton may have had to go through hell to get where he is but, he was allowed to find his own freedom because of it.
Such a great read!!!

A Hole (Alpha Bet Guys Book 1)A Hole by Phoebe Alexander
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I definitely enjoyed reading Phoebe Alexander’s A Hole. This read was so cute, funny and swoon worthy. A Hole
Is about a comedian named Ace Bennett who has a crush on Ella Craig who is bank teller for a bank which happens to be on the same building as his apartment. He makes excuses to go into the bank and Ella knows it. Finally one day Ace gets up the nerve to ask her out but she turns him down. He then asks her to come to his comedy show and there is a bet made. Ella goes to the comedy show with an opinion about Ace she had gotten from her friends. She has a plan in place. She just wants to find out if he’s as good of a kisser and she is told. Sometimes you can’t believe everything you hear. Sometimes things don’t happen the way you think they do. What will happen with Ace and Ella. Is he really the A Hole she was warned he is?
Such a great story. Great main characters and of course the supporting characters were awesome too. I hope there are more reads coming with the rest of the characters

Nobody Knows (Razes Hell Book 1) by Kyra Lennon – Review by Michelle Mulvey

Nobody KnowsNobody Knows by Kyra Lennon
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This book didn’t grab me right from the first page. The first few pages had
Me a bit confused at first. There were so many characters and so couldn’t keep it straight. That quickly changed. This book was well written and the characters were great!
Ellie grew up next door to brothers, Jason and Drew. All 3 of them were basically best friends but Ellie and Jason were always closer. They even dated for a while. There is a lot of history between this group of friends but Ellie was always right there rooting for them no matter what they went thru. Now, years have passed and the guys start up a group “Razes Hell”. They play small gigs until Derek decides it’s time to push it into the big leagues and things just start to spiral. There’s a lot of lies and even more heartache throughout this book. However I really liked this book.
The author did an amazing job keeping the reader interested. Great storyline.

Askew Ever AfterAskew Ever After by Aubrey Wynne
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

My review is for Paper Love by Aubrey Wynne. I enjoyed reading this from beginning to end. This book makes the reader feel what Joss is feeling. She decided to leave her hometown and flee the the US so dealing with that, the loss of her mom, and being cheated on she has no desire to find a love interest.

Ben is the brother of Becky and once Ben and Joss meet each other there is chemistry there. Will Joss let her guard down and give Ben a chance? Does she even stand a chance to keep her heart locked away when he breaks out the origami?
I thought this was a great, quick read with characters you can relate to and root for. Looking forward to more by this author since this was my first read by her.

Great stories but my favorite is Pets to the Rescue. I have to admit I’m a HUGE fan of Tamara Ferguson so I’m always looking for books or anthologies with that have her work features in them. This book was another 5 star read for me. I’ve been a big fan since I started reading the two hearts wounded warrior series. Christmas is the most wonderful time of the year and these characters are about to see why. Jake and Kinley were both at The Crystal Rock Tap one night. This is a historical romance where Viola Marsh is shamed by all. Four years ago she was found in a closet with two men and since then everyone has shamed her. Her family doesn’t treat her well and neither does anyone in the village. Her Aunt Clara is just about the only Person believes her honesty but is that enough?
One cold night she goes to the Kissing Bough even though everyone thinks it is pointless. Viola dresses warm and heads out with her brother Tom who is so mean to her. She doesn’t care though, the thought of a prospect, she heads out the door and stands under the kissing bough for hours nearly freezing to death.
Not only one man but who men approach her. It seems to good to be true. Maybe it is. Everyone thinks she has been with two men at once before so she is considered damaged goods. Percy Gilling and Lord Ricborough have a proposition for Viola. Will she accept their proposition or will she decide tell them the truth and decide it is to much for her. I thought the book was well written and had good characters even though, every member of Viola’s family is mean and rude aside from sweet Aunt Clara.

Holiday Terminal (Warren Family Holidays) by Gwyn McNamee & Christy Anderson – Review by Michelle Mulvey

Holiday TerminalHoliday Terminal by Gwyn McNamee
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Holiday Terminal was such a great 5 star read. Just what I needed in my life right now. This second chance romance had everything I always want to see in a book. Artemis Warren and Penelope Barnes met one summer on the beach in Cape Harmony. Artemis was vacationing with his rich high profile family and of course they didn’t want their oldest son involved with a local girl. Artie and Penelope fell in love that summer.
Unfortunately Artie left at the end of the summer and him and Penelope never spoke after that. Now 6 years later they are both flying to their respective homes but both planes need to make an emergency landing because of a really bad snow storm with whiteout conditions.
What are the odds that these two long lost lovers have to land at the same airport, on the same day, at the same time ? It must’ve been fate.
What will happen when these two come face to face? Penelope has feared this moment and now she has no choice but to face it head on and tell him the truth. She really doesn’t have to tell him because he can see it with his own eyes. I absolutely loved this book and wish there were more just like this one.

UnwrappedUnwrapped by Evelyn Sola
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Unwrapped is the first book I’ve read by this author. I thought the book was well written and I mostly did like the characters.

Nick is a bit arrogant and it took me a bit to like him. He’s like the guy you love to hate in a good romance book haha
With that being said, everyone has their reasons for being the way they are.

Nick is a temporary boss at his Uncle’s company and the first day he gets into the office, things don’t go so well and not to many people like him. He’s nothing like his sweet, friendly, well liked uncle.
Fast forward to the holiday party and Nick spots a girl he cannot keep his eyes off of. Only
Problem is her mom literally hates Nick. Miranda has heard horror stories at the dinner table every night for the past 2 months or so. Will Miranda throw caution to the wind and end up spending time with Nick or will she keep her distance? Read the book to find out. Looking forward to more by this author.

Trey Prentice Is a retired baseball player who has moved back to town and now owns the local used bookstore. Not only does he own the bookstore but he can create an amazing Christmas display. Will the towns shop owners now want Trey to decorate their windows?
Trey and Maggie were both attracted to each other but will Maggie ever give Trey a chance? This book had some flirting, some banter and some romance. This was a perfect holiday read to get you in the spirit. You definitely won’t want to miss out on this one.
