My Tragic Life is the 2nd book in the My Life Series for Necie Navone. If you have not picked up anything by this author yet, you are missing out. Necie Navone’s writing is wonderful. Her depiction of the characters very realistic. With this book, Ms. Navone carries on with the tale of Alessandra and how she is fairing with the fact that she will be the boss of a crime family when her father passes away. The attention to detail and interaction with the other characters only enhance the richness of this book. The flow and emotions brought out by the writer in this book make it enjoyable to read and addicting. I did not want to put the book down! I cannot wait to catch up with this family in the next book!

My Tragic Life by Necie Navone is the second book in the My Life series and tragic is the best way to describe Alessandra’s life.
Alessandra is still the Princess of the family but is growing up quickly and learning more about the family business when what she really wants is to get out and have an opportunity to live her life her way and not having to answer to anyone.
The next book is the end of this series and I can’t wait to see what happens to not just Alessandra, but Analisa, Nonna and especially her Uncle Lou and Luigi.

“My Tragic Life” is the second part of the prequel to the “Brothers of Camelot” series by Necie Navone. I have to say it is a bit of departure from the a-typical one shot prequel that you are used to seeing for a series. This one gives us an up close personal coming of age story about Alessandra, the ‘Princess’ of the Canzano family. This is setting us up for the Brothers of Camelot. I would HIGHLY recommend that these are all read in order. I will admit that at first, and when I finished the first book, I wasn’t sure if I was a big fan that this was going to be a three part prequel. I really liked the first book in the Brothers Camelot and I kind of just want to get back to those stories. As it is that promises to be a long series in and of itself. But I am playing along and giving it a go. I do believe that I am a bit more of a fan after this one though. This brought all the feels to the table much as the first in the Brothers of Camelot did, and I am glad that I didn’t give up after the first book.
All that said, this one shows us more of Alessandra, this time more as she has grown into her teenage years. She still is forced to face things that are more for adults and I wanted to shield her from them. I found myself torn apart as a mother and tearing up several times throughout the story. She has to make a lot of decisions that she should never have to make, but when you are faced with choosing family and keeping them safe or the alternative, you generally are forced to make some very difficult choices. I can’t wait to find out what the next installment will bring, and where we will find Alessandra in the end. Most of all, I want to see a light at the end of the tunnel for her. My Tragic Life by Necie Navone is the second volume in her My Life series that is a prequel to the Brothers of Camelot series. The second book in her Brothers of Camelot series will be the story of Aless and Greyson and My Life series is Aless’ story – I absolutely love that the writer is preparing us for their story so make sure you read everything BEFORE their story is released as I promise you will want to! My Tragic Life picks up 9 months after the shocking events at Aless’ 15th birthday! We follow her here over next 3 years! This next book is where Aless is truly growing up and learning and understanding what the family duties require of her. It tells the story of loyalty, revenge, friendship, loss, heartache and luckily also of hope. I am sure you will also fall further in love with Aless, with her strength, her heart and the combination of strength and softness that she exhibits. The more the writer takes us into the story, the more I fall in love with her writing! I cannot wait for the next steps in this crazy journey she has taken us on!

My Hidden Life by Necie Navone is prequel to her Brothers of Camelot series. It is a series in its own rights called My Life. I love how she left us impatiently waiting for Aless and Greyson’s story and now she has given us her story so that we would be well acquainted with her! My Hidden Life is the first part of Alessandra “Aless” Canzano’s story. The writer has told the story of the Princess of the Canzano crime Family from different point of views that gives it a much more intensive flavour! She started training when she was six years old and became the best while all along she only wishes to be ‘normal’ (normal is soooo overestimated!). So the first volume is about Aless growing up and training and needing to hide her life even from her closest friends and family. It tries to give us answers to “What happens when you realize your choices for your future are no longer your own? What happens when you experience just a glimpse of another life while knowing it will never be your reality? What happens when you need to walk away because it’s not the life you’re supposed to live? I cannot wait to pick up the next volume!

My Tragic Life: Brothers of Camelot Prequel ( My Life Series Book 2) by Necie Navone. This is the best series. Its full of suspense, tragedy and a little comedy. It picks up where Book 1 My Hidden Life leaves off. It begins with Alessandra showing her skills that her Uncle Louie has taught her. There is a shooting competition where she has to compete against all the top men, not only does she hold her ground, she beats them all. Even ending up saving her Capo’s life. This story is about Aless coming of age and having to be the Princess of the Canzano Family, a very powerful Mafia type family in Italy. Aless is protected by several men including her Uncle Louie who is more of a father to her and a lot of men who are in line to be an arranged husband for her. Aless is determined to break free from the family and pick her own husband for love and not for business. Aless has known tragedy her whole life being shot when she was at her 6th birthday party was just the beginning. Her Mom has lost her sister and a son and is a weak shell of a woman now so Aless has to be strong for them all. She is fiercely protective of her mom and her family. She is amazed at what she can accomplish when her family is in danger. This is a high paced, thrilling and sad book. I can’t wait to read the next book and see if Aless manages to escape her Tragic Life.

I have read a few of this talented authors books and she continues to blow me away. This is the second book of the Prequel to Brothers of Camelot and My Life series. I love a good coming to age book but this author exceeds my expectations. This series has be read in order or you will be lost. I could not put this book down. I could not help falling in love with these characters once again. It only took me a little over a day to devour this incredible story.
This book picks up where the last one ends. Alessandra is the Princess to the Canzano Family. She is going to the Boss when her father passes it down to her. Alessandra has been training ever since she was six years old. She is now trained to kill and she is even better than some of the men. Alessandra is now a teenager that wants to do teen things but she can’t. She is growing to hate her roll in the family. Alessandra has to be on guard at all times. One day her world is turned upside down. She makes a promise that will change her life but will she be able to do it? Will Alessandra get to live her life or will she stay in the cage her father has her in?
This is my favorite series I have read this year. The storyline has it all love, loss,heartbreak, and healing. You will fall in love with these characters all over again. I absolutely love Alessandra’s Uncle. He is her hero. He will do anything to make her smile. Alessandra is so brave at this tender age. She has seen a lot of violence through her life but she learns from it. All she wants to do is to find true love. This talented author made me cry tears of sadness and joy. After finishing book 1 in this series I couldn’t wait to get my hands on the second and get stuck in! I was so happy that the book did not disappoint! I really, really enjoyed it and again the author dragged me into the story straight away. This book should definitely be read after book 1 as it is a continuation and begins around 9 months after the incredible ending that the author left us with. Again I was captivated be Alessandra’s story and it is hard to remember sometimes, because of the life she’s lived and is still living, that she is still only a teenager. The story is a great mix of coming of age situation interspersed with violence – there certainly are twists and turns on every page which kept me riveted from the beginning to the end. Alessandra is a fantastic character and I am really enjoying her story and seeing her grow up – she is mature far beyond her years and I think as she gets older she really will be a force to be reckoned with! I cannot wait to see what will happen in the next book!!

The story My Tragic Life: Brothers of Camelot Prequel (My Life Series Book 2) by Necie Navone is a wonderful book that I loved reading. It hooked me in just like the first one and I found myself not wanting to put the book down until I had read the final page. It is the continuing story of the Princess of the Canzano Family. She is a strong girl who has had to grow up all too soon. Her life is controlled by her father, the Capo. What she wears, the friends that she has, and who she will marry. While there is much that is kept from her, she has her ways of finding out the information that she wants or needs to have. There are those in her life that she keeps at arm’s length and then those who she is close to. I enjoyed reading about those that are closest to her and the playful banter and interactions that go on between them. This story does include heartache. It also shows how well the Princess has taken to her training. She is someone who can take control of a situation and give orders that can save lives, take them, or both. The Princess also has her private moments where sometimes her emotions overwhelm her. This, the continuing story of the Princess of the Canzano family is one that has scenes of action and danger. She also has a secret that she keeps even from those she cares for the most. Her life has gone from bearable to tragic in a Family that she wants no part of. I have grown to love her character with each chapter and book that I read, and I can’t wait to read the next story. My emotions were going up and down the entire time that I read this book and I found myself empathizing with the Princess. I don’t believe that I could live in the same situation that she finds herself in. This is a series that I believe should be read in order to fully understand what is going on. Wonderfully written with amazing characters this is a book I would highly recommend reading.

My Tragic Life is a Brothers of Camelot series prequel and the second book in My Life series by Necie Navone. I love this series so much! It has everything you could want in a captivating read. There’s action, friendship, grief, loss, camaraderie, longing, suspense, emotion, playful teasing, funny banter, and a lot of drama- in this bloody and somewhat violent, coming of age story, with a twist. It really reminds me of “La Femme Nikita” in a lot of ways- which I also love about it. I think this series would make a brilliant television series or telemovie!! After the riveting events in the last book I devoured this one in a matter of hours because I just HAD to know what happened next. This story picks up 9 months after the shocking event/s at her 15th birthday- and the action starts up pretty much right away. We get a lot more of Aless’s thrilling story- and I. LOVED. EVERY. MINUTE. To recap what’s happened in the previous book- Alessandra Canzano was born into an Italian crime family, the only child of the powerful and ruthless Capo (boss). She is their Princess, treated as royalty and living a fairytale life- until her sixth birthday where gunmen attack, wounding her and changing her life forever. Her father had big plans for her, but after the events on her sixth birthday, he becomes even more controlling and obsessive. Alessandra’s beloved Uncle Louie was tasked with training her- so from the age of six she learnt hand to hand combat, and at eight she began weapons training- and she was to tell no one of her training, or the reasons behind it- keeping that part of her life hidden from her other family, and friends. Here, Aless has kept up with her training and is now a formidable fighter, proficient in both weaponry, as well as hand to hand combat. The events of the last book have strained her relationship with her father and she doesn’t think they will ever recover what they once had. But when danger threatens those she cares about, Aless is forced to embrace her training in order to keep them all safe. What ensues makes for some really exciting, emotional, and gripping reading. But Aless never wanted this life, she dreams of a normal life, free from her gilded cage. She’s determined to find a way to make this happen. Aless seems so mature for her age, I had to keep reminding myself that she was only a teenager (as we follow her story from ages 15, 16 and 17). As I’ve said before, Ms. Navone is a wonderful wordsmith, weaving a superb story that plucked at my heart strings, and had me on the edge of my seat. She brought the story and characters to life, easily pulling me into her world and keeping me enthralled right through till the end. The story is told from several POV’s which gave the story an extra element of interest. Just Superb!

Aless’ story continues and the author takes us deeper into her story, her growth both in ways she aspires to and those she does not, as well as, the emotional interludes that drive Aless’ on her journey. The strength that is shown in Aless is amazing, under no circumstance could most live or attempt to live their lives with the cards this individual has been dealt. Necie Navone is a strong storyteller and the way she has come at this series is remarkably done. She has created characters with individuality to stand apart, yet flaws that show you their strengths and weaknesses. This is not a simple tale, but one full of suspense, dynamic imagery and twists.

I love this series. I can not wait to see how it ties in with the Brothers of Camelot. This story is a continuation from My Hidden Life. My Tragic Life is about Aless, the daughter of the Capo. The one that will take his place and rule over The Family and all their illegal businesses. Aless doesn’t want the madness and danger that goes along with being the daughter in training. She has been thinking and planning of a way out for a couple of years.
This story is easy to read except when Aless become a killing machine to protect her family. I loved watching her grow and learn through out these two stories. Her feelings about the “men” in her life, especially Grayson and Luigi make me laugh, blush and sigh right along with her. She is probably the strongest female character I have ever read about.
Even though Aless didn’t show much emotion during a rather difficult situation, as a reader I sure cried like a baby. I am looking forward to reading the next book and finding out how Aless gets away or if she changes her mind and rules like her father. I also want to see where the Brothers of Camelot come into play. Definitely recommend this book.

My Tragic Life: Brothers of Camelot Prequel is book two in the My Life series by Necie Navone. It continues as the Princess grows a little older, a little tougher, and way too fast. Her strength cannot be measured, and her steely determination for change and individuality is paramount. She has seen things not many people should see at such a young age, and while it would destroy most, it just gives the Princess more conviction to do it her way, and in her time. She goes about her business in a controlled and calm manner, surprising many and impressing all.
The further into this series I delve, the more I enjoy the story and its characters. I really connect with the way this author displays the suspense, the plot twists, and how each character grows and develops. This is one hugely addictive series, and I cannot wait for more. 5 stars

My Hidden Life: Brothers of Camelot Prequel (My Life Series Book 1), is a wonderful read by Necie Navone. Alessandra is trying to find her way in her family, but hers is not your normal every day family. Her family is part of the Italian mob. Alessandra wants to be a normal teenager, but her family’s life style is not allowing this for her. My Hidden Life is told from different points of views which keeps the story interesting and has you wanting to know what is on the next page. So, if you want an action-packed book, that also contains suspense and drama then I have to say this is the book for you, and a book you will enjoy from the first page to the last.

This is the second book in the “Brothers of Camelot Prequel” and it is NOT a stand-alone. Book 1 MY HIDDEN LIFE should absolutely be read first.
This is book two in the Prequel Trilogy. It’s an interesting way to publish a prequel, using three books to tell this amazing story instead of just one. Part two is where we get to see Alessandra grow from a young princess to a beautiful young woman. Her talent for quick shooting and quicker wit helps move the story along at a good pace.
This book was more emotional than I anticipated. A couple of times it took my breath away and I had to pause to breath, just like she did.
I am so looking forward to reading the final installment in this trilogy and then I can get back to The Camelot Brothers.

My Tragic Life is the 2nd book in an amazing series. Necie Navone did an amazing job keeping me hooked all the way through, and directly into the 3rd book. You must read this book following My Hidden Life, which you should do right away because its wonderful. This series of 3 books is a prequel to the Brothers of Camelot series she is also writing. The characters are well written, with great interactions. The story is written mostly in the perspective of Aless, but with an occasional chapter from the supporting characters. It continues her story, as she gets older, following the responsibilities she carries as the Princess of her Family, essentially a Mafia Princess. With this position comes power, fear, respect, money, but Aless would give it all up to be a normal teenage, who could make her own destiny and choose her own partner. I love the balance the book has, with a little bit of longing and dreams, alongside drama and intense scenes, with a small dash of romance. It is a page turner, and kept me hooked all the way through, and into the next book in the series. Highly recommend it.

You get to see how she grows, her loyalty, her understanding of the family duties and friendship. How will she react when she has to be someone she does like or want to be?
Another great book in the My Life Series. You see the growth of “Little One” in this book and it is nice to see the changes. The writing keeps you engaged and turning the pages as you want to see what happens next. The characters are very believable and well developed. I cannot wait to read the next book in the My Life Series.

My Tragic Life: Brothers of Camelot Prequel by Necie Navone is the second book in the My Life series. In this book we get to see more into the mob life and what it means to be a Princess to a leading family. We also get to see what it means to have an enemy target you for being a part of that family. The main character of this book is just as strong and interesting to read about as book 1. This book does well to whet your appetite even more. It builds well on book one while leaving you excited for book three. This is a great series and one I would highly recommend reading.

I love this series! In this book we get to see more of “Little One” and her life as a mob princess. Her whole life she has been raised to take over the family business and protecting your own. What will happen when a enemy goes after her family and she is forced to be the person she doesn’t want to be? I love her character. My Hidden Life: Brothers of Camelot Prequel (My Life Series Book 1) by Necie Navone is one great start to the series that you don’t want to miss. Necie has a way with her words that ensure you are engrossed in not only the story but you are thoroughly invested in the characters. Being the Princess of the Family is not all it is cracked up to be. Being raised to one day take over a mans world from the day you were born means you see and hear things you would never see in a million years.The story is told in multiple POV’s enriching the story so much more. There is so much drama and action, murder and mayhem as one Family fights another in this cut throat world. Read as one little girl learns what life is like in a world full of violence but also love.

My Hidden Life: Brothers of Camelot Prequel was a great 5 star read and book one in the My Life series.
We start with Alessandra celebrating her sixth birthday, she is the princess of the Canzano family and she knows she has to represent. After she is shot leaving her party, her father becomes very protective and obsessive. Her father is the Capo and a very powerful man with enemies.
Uncle Louie has been training Alessandra for years and has grown very close to her. She is well trained in self-defense and weapons. She can definitely take care of herself. She has a lot of responsibility and expectations as the princess of the family.
As Alessandra starts to learn things about her family she starts to question some things. Does she really want to follow through with her father’s expectations? I really like Alessandra, she was very smart, strong female. Once I started I couldn’t stop until I was done. I can’t wait to see where the story goes from here. Necie Navone does a great job with her writing, she pulls you right in.

My Hidden Life is book one in the My Life series by Necie Navone and is a five star novel. This novel was fascinating to me. I married into an Italian family with much of the mob mentality that is portrayed in this novel. As the novel starts out, we learn about six year old Alessandra. As the only child of the family leader, she is being groomed to take her father’s position when she gets older. She is introduced in a bad way though when she gets shot by a rival family. This story follows her as she grows older and I cannot wait to read the next installment. The emotions that this author is able to bring out in a person is amazing. I feel for this girl and everything she has to go through at such a young age, but also knowing that things are going to get harder for her as she gets older and takes on more responsibility.

My Hidden Life: Brothers of Camelot Prequel (My Life Series Book 1)

I was so excited to read this book after finishing The Only One, we got a glimpse of Aless at the end of that book but this story starts when she was a young girl, the daughter of the head of a crime family who wants to shape her into the one that takes over the family when she gets older and marries whoever it is her father decides she will marry.
She’s had to learn to defend herself at a very young age and as time goes by she learns a few things about her family and is closest to her Uncle Louie who has swore on his life he will keep her safe. She has been named the princess of the family and as time goes by the sense of family and security starts wavering and she knows she might just have to take her future into her own hands.
I loved learning how her and Grayson met and the connection the two shared…I sincerely love this authors writing style, I enjoyed every word and can not wait to read the next in Aless’s story and see what happens with her future.
I highly recommend this story as well as the first in the Brothers of Camelot, I can already tell this whole series is going to be one that I’ll want to reread in the future.

I have read a couple of books from this author but she keeps on blowing me away. This is a prequel to the Brothers of Camelot series. I love a good coming to age mobster story but this book exceeded all my expectations. You can’t help to fall in love with these characters. I absolutely love the Uncle. I could not put this book down until I was on the last page. It only took me a few hours to devour this incredible story.
Alessandra was born as the Princess to the Canzano Family. She is the daughter of a very powerful man. Alessandra is to be the head of the Family when the time comes. She has to train everyday to make sure that she has skills to fight. Her Uncle dedicates his life to love her like his own. They have a bond that can never be broken. Alessandra wants to be a normal girl but she quickly realizes that she is not normal. She has to protect her family and friends. Alessandra is on a trip and she sees a handsome guy. She can’t get him out of her mind. Alessandra learns some family secrets that will change her life. Will Alessandra be able to have a normal life or will she just be her father’s puppet?
I absolutely loved this book. The storyline has it all suspense, mystery, and a little bit of romance. You will fall in love with Alessandra right from the start. She is a very strong girl that has a good heart. Alessandra loves her family and friends but she wants to be a normal girl. Her Uncle is my hero. He takes care of her like his own. He makes sure that she gets what she needs because her father is usually absent. This book will give you all of the feels from sadness to joy. I can’t wait to see what happens next to these unforgettable characters.

My Hidden Life: Brothers of Camelot Prequel by Necie Navone is the first book in the My Life Series. This is a coming of age story about Alessandra. She is a typical girl who struggles finding her own normal in her family. Her family is not the normal family as they are part of the Italian mob. Being picked to run the family when she gets older was fun at first but she wishes to be that normal teenager. This all happens due to a boy she met and likes. What will happen to Alessandra?
What a great start to the series. The story is told from different POV’s which definitely keeps you turning the page to see what will happen next. My Hidden Life has suspense, drama and action. The characters are well developed and very believable. I cannot wait to read the next book in the My Life Series.

My Hidden Life is an amazing start to a trilogy that I cant wait to finish. It is a prequel to the Brother of Camelot stories, but the first in the My Life Series by Necie Navone. It is a coming of age story, about Alessandra, the Princess of the Canzano Family. Her family is part of the Italian mob, and her dad decided, when she was just 6 years old, she will be the one to take over as the boss of the Family. Her uncle Louie has dedicated his life to protect her, as well as train her. Due to the target on her back, her father decides she must be trained to protect herself in any situation, regardless of being a child. She thinks it is fun as a young girl, but soon tires of it and wishes for a normal teenage life. These feelings intensify after she meets a boy, who doesn’t know her past or story, and sparks fly. Navone quickly made a lifelong fan. I read The Only One earlier this year, which will be tied into this series. I enjoyed it, so when I heard about this book being a prequel, I jumped on it, and was blown away. This story has it all, a little bit of drama, romance, fear, devotion, so many strong feelings. It is told mostly from Alessandra’s point of view, with a mix of her uncle’s as well. I highly recommend this book, and cannot wait to see what happens in both series to come.

My Hidden Life: Brothers of Camelot Prequel is the first book in The My Life series by Necie Navone. This is the second book I have read by Ms. Navone, and all I can say is keep them coming. I love the action and suspense that grabs you on the very first page. Alessandra is a wonderful character, who learns at a very young age, six, odd the dangers of being brought up as the princess of a crime family. The preparation her father sets for her to become head of the family leaves her well trading but very isolated. The rest of the characters in this book are amazingly detailed and varied. The writing just flows and I was surprised that before I knew it, it was over. Good thing is there is at least two more books in this series. I can’t wait to jump in and find out what Necie has in store for us next.

My Hidden Life: Brothers of Camelot Prequel is book one in the My Life series by Necie Navone. This author is one that captivates me more and more. Every book gets better, the characters get more adventurous, and the very essence of each story exhibits more heart and soul. But these stories aren’t for the faint of heart.
Alessandra is a princess of the Canzano family. It is the complete opposite of a normal princesses life. Fraught with crime, violence and bloodshed, Alessandra grows up quickly. She is wise beyond her year, street smart, and can take care of herself if necessary. But in saying that, there is an innocence that is endearing in its simplicity. Necie Nevone paints a girl who has heart, courage and a fierceness that she keeps hidden well, but it is there, nonetheless.
I have become a huge fan of this author, and a little obsessed with Alessandra and her evolving story. I cannot wait to find out what is up next for her. I know it will be a nail biter. 5 stars.
