This was a lovely story about 2 strangers who meet by random. Its a really well written story and the characters are likeable and easily to relate to.
Nick and his friends were on holiday in Bali when they come across a group of woman on holiday too. The attraction between Emma and Nick was instant but since Nick was getting over heartbreak he didn’t want to risk it again.
However, the connection between them is so strong neither of them could forget it.

I have said this so many times before that Ms. Ferguson is one of my ‘one-click- no questions asked’ authors- as I know that she will always deliver a story that I won’t want to leave. Her stories are ones in which I can lose myself completely, and easily having me invested in the story and wonderful characters- and this story was no exception. This is a very quick and easy read, with a great pace and a smooth flow. I devoured it in practically no time at all. As usual, I loved Ms. Ferguson’s attention to detail and all the interconnected elements she weaves into her stories. It gives her stories added interest, as well as some charm. Nick is a friend of Rand’s (from Rand’s Resolution: After Hurricane Nina Series) who meets the lovely Emma while in Bali- one night is all it takes- but things are never quite that simple, and this story has a few surprises in store. Intriguing developments woven around a sweet Christmas romance- and I was hooked! One of my favourite stories from Ms. Ferguson- one that can be enjoyed any time of the year, but especially leading up to and around Christmas! Looking forward to whatever Ms. Ferguson does next.

Nick is a hunk, who’s been burned by love in the past. He’s lost all confidence in himself since breaking off his engagement because he caught his fiance cheating. While vacationing in Bali with friends, he spots the beautiful Emma, who is also with friends. Emma tends to run away from men when things start getting serious. Sharing one hot kiss, Nick is determined to get to know Emma more, despite the fact that he isn’t sure if she is after him or his family’s money. Their paths cross again in Crystal Rock during a Christmas charity. As Emma watches Nick play Santa for the kids, she realizes there may be more to Nick than his rough personality. Reading how Nick and Emma start letting their guard down with one another was very heartwarming. I liked the way the author thoroughly introduced Nick’s childhood in the beginning chapters, as it would play an important role for Nick’s personality. I really enjoyed this book and plan on reading others in this collection.
This is my first book by this author. This is a murder-mystery story that I enjoyed to the end. It is a well written story that has characters that make the story easy to read. This is an interesting story that you never know who can be trusted. Hani is sent to investigate a murder but what he finds is so much more. As things get complicated for him will the superiors accuse the wrong person? This story did start a little slow but after a couple of chapters things picked up and it became fast paced. I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next and if the murderer gets caught.

I loved reading the book Bird in a Snare (The Lord Hani Mysteries Book 1) by N.L. Holmes. It is a story that pulled me in from the beginning and didn’t let me go until the final page. It is a book that has mystery, murder, danger, and intrigue. The story is written in such a way that the storyline and the characters come alive with each chapter that you read. I loved reading about the main character of Hani, who is an Egyptian diplomat. Hani is a man that is trusted by many. He loves his family and also has a love of birds. I couldn’t help but root for Hani to have success in all that he does. Duties that include the investigation of a murder. This story had me turning pages wondering what was going to happen next. There are twists and turns that I didn’t see coming. I also enjoyed that the story is told with such detail and I felt like I was right there with the characters. Don’t miss out on this exciting and entertaining story. I highly recommend reading it.

Holiday Hunks-St. Nick’s Christmas Wish (Hot Hunks Steamy Romance Collection Book 7) by Tamara Ferguson is a favourite of mine and I am in love with the wounded warriors and Crystal Rock series. As well as being a sweet romance there is another plot in the background that is mysterious and intriguing. This beautiful Christmas romance is multi layered and the characters are relatable and loveable. One kiss in a holiday destination is all it takes for the heart to want what it wants, and Nick and Emma are drawn to one another and sparks fly but will they see each other again? I love Tamara’s books because she writes with such heart and I always look forward to more.

Tamara Ferguson is a go-to read author for me when I want a sweet romance. She has several that are some of my favorites among her Crystal Rock series that I love and read over and over. When I found out while reading this one it crosses over to Crystal Rock I was maybe a tad ecstatic lol. I loved how this is a holiday read but is one that could be enjoyed year round with the premise of the love that is around that season can and does spread year round if you let it. This is a fabulous way to delve into a cool read and escape for a few hours from the heat of the sun in the summer, or you could curl up next to the fire with hot cocoa in the winter and heat up with it. St. Nick’s Christmas Wish is a fun ride that takes us to Bali and then back to Crystal Rock. We follow Nick as he navigates his heartstrings and Emma’s. He knows she is the one for him but he will have to work a bit at convincing Emma… will they make it out with a happily ever after? I can’ t wait to read the other novels in this collection soon!
Entertaining. That is a word I would use for this book. While some of this is serious other parts are certainly funny and made me smile. Emma and Nick has a rocky start but all it took was one “out of their minds” kiss and a little luck for them to get together. Oh…and maybe a Santa suit. Jack helped make this a fun story. He seemed lighthearted and ready for a laugh. Nick has some family issues that seemingly pop back up. I enjoyed this short holiday romp. This is the second book of these three friends. i liked that this was done with a holiday theme. Jack and Janelle are all that’s left.
Tamara Ferguson has always been one of my “go-to” authors. I have loved every book she has written and this book included. This book is about a broken hearted stock broker named Nick Hanover. His childhood wasn’t one some of the typical teenage boys he knew had. His parents hardly ever speak and never came to any of his games. Mike took him under his wing being 2 years older and they built a great friendship. That’s when Nick realized there were secrets in his family. When Nick turned 18 his dad was a lot more open about things and told Nick things no one else knew. At 18 years old Nick will have a lot on his plate. About 12 years later, Nick is nursing a broken heart and decides to go vacation on Bali with Jack and they stay at with their childhood friend Rand. When they are out they meet 3 women Ciara, Janelle and Emma. Nick and Emma immediately have chemistry but of course they gets messed up somehow but not before they share a heated kiss that neither can forget when vacation ends. Emma and Nick end up running into each other again in Crystal Rock. Everything seems to be going well for them until Mick gets that phone all about his half brother. Will Nick be able to tell Emma all the secrets and still be happy or will the secrets tear them apart. This book has a lot going on but it was a really good book and keeps you interested from the very beginning.

It takes us (back) into her Crystal Rock universe in Wisconsin with Emma Caffrey and Nick Hanover. It is a lovely holiday read that would be a great introduction into Tamara’s universe where Crystal Rock meets Wounded Warriors and I promise you, you will get hooked on it and you will want to go and read EVERYTHING she has written and I promise you many many hours of pleasure! I love how Tamara tells us the story of human depravity that one overpowers with love and care and that there is light at the end of the tunnel and hope, always hope and love! Every single one of stories carries a deeper feeling and gets woven into the fabric and magic of Dragon Pointe.

The author does an amazing job of taking you on a journey with the characters. I couldn’t help but love them! I wanted to read more about them and I really wanted them to find a way to make things work. I liked that the story was fun and festive but also had a more serious side to it. I found myself connecting with the characters and the story. The author has created a brilliant story that really draws you in. This is an amazing book and one I cannot recommend highly enough.
St Nick’s Christmas Wish is the 7th book in the Hot Hunks Steamy Romance Collection. It is written by Tamara Ferguson who has become a favourite of mine in recent months since I discovered her wounded warriors series. When I started to read this book I had no idea that it was linked to this series and this was a very pleasant surprise. I really enjoyed this book, the characters are fantastic and the storyline really grabs you and keeps you wanting to keep going and see what happens next. As well as the romance between main characters Nick and Emma there is an intriguing storyline regarding Nick’s childhood running along at the same time. As well as Nick and Emma, there is a great cast of secondary characters, in Nick and Emma’s friends who I’m sure may become the main characters in future books by Tamara Ferguson. With the insights we got into these other characters, I am looking forward to reading more about them. I also really enjoyed the crossover with the wounded warrior books and getting to revisit some favourite characters again.

I loved Nick and Emma, they were perfect for each other. I enjoyed the way the story and characters developed. I loved that I never felt too overwhelmed with the story, the pacing was perfect. I did not want to put this book down!
When a chance meeting in a bar, can fate really be in the stars.
Nick and his friends are enjoying there holiday, he needed this break as things are getting confusing with him working as a stock broker and also secretly running his family business can he just relax. While in Bali he and his friends meet a group of woman in a bar and that’s when he discovers Emma.
Emma is on holiday with her friends, leaving behind her responsibilities from Crystal Rock for a few weeks is just what the doctor ordered but meeting Nick on his last night of his holiday is just her luck. They have instant chemistry and feels cheated that there encounter was so short.
While away Nick evaluates his life and when a proposal is delivered to him from his friend Jake to run his property company in Crystal Rock. Nick and Jack arrive and run straight into Emma, they can’t believe it. As the story goes through you learn that Nick has secrets and mysteries which he has to uncover to protect both Emma and his family and will he be able to protect them.
I loved this story the character of Emma is of a strong, confident and Independent women who deserves happiness, Nick has always overcome the label of his family but he is humble and kind not the bratty rich kid that normally ends up in this kind of character so he was a breathe of fresh air. It’s always nice to go back to Crystal Rock and love this just as much as the other series. If your looking for a good story line with action and Santa then you need to read this book.

It is a story that pulled me in from the beginning and I was hooked. It is a wonderful holiday romance book that had me not wanting to put it down until I had finished the last page. I loved the characters of Nick Hanover and Emma Caffrey. I grew to care about what happens to them with each chapter of the book that I read. I wanted them to find happiness. There are additional characters that interact with Nick and Emma that I enjoyed reading about as well. This is a story that has heartwarming and romantic moments that will tug at your heart. The author has done an amazing job of weaving a very entertaining tale. Don’t miss out on an amazing story that has a wonderful storyline and unforgettable characters. I highly recommend reading it.

I will say that Nick has a secret and some family tragedy that needs some healing. Could Emma be the one to help with that healing? This story is filled with Christmas wishes and even some Santa kisses too. I highly recommend this book and this author. It will heat up your Summer night. Loved it!

A High Price to Pay, the second book in the Madeline Dawkins series is a fantastic continuation of Spouse Trap. I feel this book deserves a 4 star rating as I thoroughly enjoyed the book from start to finish, just as much, if not more than the first book. I really liked Madeline’s character in the first book but her development throughout this book makes her even more enjoyable. I believe I mentioned in my review of Spouse Trap that the first book I read by this author was a completely different genre and I was truly impressed with the range of writing, the strength of storyline and the twists and turns that kept me invested. Once again Cynthia Hamilton has impressed me with the strength of her writing and I would recommend this series to anyone that enjoys a well written mystery.

I can not express my already fast developing love of this series! If you like Mystery books, This is definitely for you! However, i do recommend reading them in order, as this is the second book! I absolutely love who Madeline is as a character, and always feel like i´m right there in the scene with her! Definitely worth the read!

A High Price To pay is the 2nd book in the Madeline Dawkins Series by Cynthia Hamilton. This is a great detective series which is thrilling and fast paced. 3 years have passed since we left Madeline and Mike at the end of Spouse Trap. They are now newly qualified as private detectives and Madeline is still working in her role as an event planner. When a huge glamorous event that Madeline is working on becomes a murder enquiry, her and Mike become embroiled in solving the murder. At the same time one of the thugs who kidnaped Madeline 3 years earlier is back on the scene and Madeline’s life is in danger. This is a very fast paced, thrilling, suspenseful novel that I was hooked on from the very beginning. As much as I enjoyed Spouse Trap, I thought this book was so much better. I was so engaged in the storyline and couldn’t wait to see how it all panned out. Cynthia Hamilton sure knows how to write a detective story. The intricate plot is so well thought out and keeps you hooked and you will not want to put this book down. I can’t wait to read more of Madeline and Mike’s adventures.

A High Price to Pay is the second novel in the Madeline Dawkins series. In ‘A High Price to Pay’, Madeline is working as both an events coordinator and as a private investigator, her jobs cross paths during a weekend long fortieth birthday extravaganza for the wife of a famous film director. Following the theft of some family jewels, Madeline does a background check and along with Mike is soon dealing with a murder investigation. To add to her troubles Madeline is informed that one of the men that abducted her three years previously is being released early having done a deal with the Feds. As Madeline helped put Rick Yeoman in prison she fears he may come after her. This is a gripping murder mystery, crime drama with a fast paced storyline and great characters. It was lovely to be back with Madeline who is still dealing with the events from book one and who along with partner Mike is continuing with her private investigator work. Madeline is a wonderful female lead and I love her witty one liners. The story had me hooked from page one just as the previous book in this series did. Although it can be read as a standalone story, personally I feel the reader would enjoy it more if they have read the previous book and so have Madeline’s backstory. I look forward to future books in this series.

A High Price to Pay is the second installment in the Madeline Dawkins series by Cynthia Hamilton. This was an amazing book to read and I have become personally possessed with these books and author. You will find crime, murder, and suspense that will keep you on the edge of you chair while you read. In this book you follow Madeline who is doing a simple background check over missing family jewels with her partner Mike. But things took a quick turn when there is now a murder investigation. I have loved Madeline from the beginning but quickly fell in love with Mike after seeing who he was and how protective he is over her. But then that sleezy Lionel returns and makes Madeline his newest target. What will happen next? You will love this series and I highly recommend reading it.
