A High Price to Pay by Cynthia Hamilton a feisty four-star read. This is number two in the Madeline Dawkins series and I would say that it is best to read them in order, I did and I enjoyed them that way as I didn’t feel lost at all reading the second story. This is a great whodunnit and it kept me guessing, I did guess right at first but then thought I didn’t and then just got so wrapped up in the story that I didn’t truly care. This has so many strings to the story, but the author does a great job of keeping it all together and plaiting them together to make a story that is easy to follow and really fun to read. If you like a mystery, then this is one for you. I only gave it four as there were a couple of bits that annoyed me but overall, it was very good.

This is the second book in the Madeline Dawkins series and and its a great book.
After all the trauma cause to Madeline in the first book by her ex husband, she is back as a trained P.I with her close friend Mike.
She also still runs her event co-ordinator job as well. Her next job sees her planning a 3 day party for a famous client. However, things arent as rosy as they seem when the clients mother-in-law seeks Madelines help to find the person responsible for stealing her precious jewellery. With both businesses taking off Madeline certainly has her hands full.
An added complication occurs when one of the men who was part of the plan that kidnapped her is released only to be found dead days later. Is the man that escaped justice Usherwood back getting his revenge on the people who turned him in and will Madeline be next on his hit list.
Its a great story that keeps you hooked and guessing. It has a strong and independent female main character which is nice.

Once again Cynthia Hamilton delivers a great story. In A High Price to Pay (Madeline Dawkins Mysteries Book 2) we follow the continuing story of Madeline Dawkins. Now the proud owner of her own detective agency we follow Madeline on an exciting journey. Not only does her past come back to haunt her but the double jeopardy of a new case lands on her plate. That rapidly becomes a triple play. I loved watching the evolution of Madeline in this story and I love how her partner Mike is all about her. This one was a page turner for sure and you will not be disappointed.

A High Price to Pay (Madeline Dawkins Mysteries Book 2) by Cynthia Hamilton is the follow up book to Spouse Trap, it does refer back to some of the events in that book so I would recommend that readers make sure that they have read it first to fully appreciate the story. In A High Price to Pay, Madeline has recently received her P.I licence and, along with her friend and colleague Mike, are ready to start taking cases. Unfortunately for Madeline her first case is a bit close to home. The mother in law of her biggest client from her event planning business asks her to investigate some missing items from her home. However, the case is not as clear cut as it first seems. At the same time a threat from Madeline’s past has resurfaced and it making his ominous presence known. Madeline is not only facing the toughest case of her career so far; she is also watching over her shoulder in fear of her safety. I thoroughly enjoyed this book; I love the development of the characters and the twists in the story. Perfect for anyone who likes a good mystery.

These books are kickass! I’m obsessed with Cynthia Hamilton’s writing in the way she captures Madeline’s life. Performing two jobs at the same time, private eye and event coordinator, Madeline is at a weekend-long birthday party for a movie director’s wife when she must track down not only the family’s jewels but also track down a murderer. Madeline works beside the local police department where she finds there’s more than meets the eye when it comes to her clients. If that’s not enough, Madeline’s old abductor was released after striking a deal with the feds. Lionel Usherwood is on the path for revenge, if she doesn’t have enough on her plate as it is as Lionel already killed Rick Yeoman but now Lionel is out for Madeline’s blood next. This book is filled with mystery, action, and suspense all in one! Great read: Original story, entertaining, and realistic.

This story begins with Madeline and Mike going through with their PI firm plans. Since they are just starting out, Madeline is still working as an event coordinator. However, the current job she is working needs both of her jobs in order to be successful. She must not only pull off an amazing birthday party for the wife of an actor…she also needs to find some missing jewels and, eventually, solve a murder. And then an old enemy makes a return….but you have to read it to know how it all pans out!
I feel that Madeline is less whiny and afraid in this book compared to the previous one. It’s like she found her self-confidence and I love it. These books are out of my usual genre of reading…but I have found myself really enjoying this series. I am keeping Cynthia Hamilton on my list of author’s to look for when I am searching for new books.

A High Price To Pay is the second book in the Madeline Dawkins series. If you haven’t already I would definitely recommend reading the first book in the series beforehand. Madeline is back working as an events coordinator, but also trying to get her PI business off the ground with her friend and partner Mike. Madeline is a great main character, she’s strong and feisty, yet real and vulnerable too. She has suffered in the past, which she is still coming to terms with, but it just makes her more relatable. Like the first book this story is full of action to keep you hooked and wanting to find out what happens next. The story is full of tense moments and mysteries to be solved. The characters all have a lot of substance to them which I love, and you can tell the author has done a lot of research which really pays off in the details of the story which really bring it to life. Looking forward to reading the next instalment.

Endless Nights by R.M. Gilmore is the second book in the Dylan Hart series which is a paranormal suspense book. I fell in love with the first book and this book didn’t disappoint. Dylan is still her sarcastic, sassy self and she ends up biting off more than she can handle. After going on a trip with her an old acquaintance to New Orleans she finds herself upsetting the wrong people. Can she survive this foe? I recommend reading these in order but worth the read! They are packed with suspense, action, mystery and will keep you biting your nails in anticipation on what will happen next while reading.

The second installment of R.M. Gilmore’s Dylan Hart series was just as good as the first book. It was filled with laughter, fun, and excitement. Dylan is such a strong individual and makes for a really good heroine. She takes nothing from anyone, which upon occasion can get her into trouble. In Endless Night trouble is exactly what Dylan finds. Dylan proves once again that she is definitely up to handling anything life throws her. R.M. The author knocked it out of the park again. I loved this book just as much as the first one. It is my suggestion that you read the first book before diving into this one. This book had the same great characters and added some more. There is action, suspense, and unexpected twists and turns. Dylan is so awesome, her mouth and curiosity gets her in trouble more often than not. I found this story to be unique and entertaining. Once I started reading this book I found that I couldn’t put it down until I got to the end and once I reached the end I was left on a cliffhanger, losing my mind!! I cannot wait to read the next one, I have no doubt it will be just as awesome. I highly recommend this book.

I might have liked this one even better than the first, which is saying a lot because I really liked the first of this series, which also says alot about this author because I’m not really that crazy about this genre but when you have a character like Dylan and her snarky attitude I couldn’t help but get hooked. This author transported me right into the story and I enjoyed every second of it.
I love the way vampires and voodoo weaved through this story and where better than in New Orleans. Where better also to help Dylan realize there really is more going on than she realizes or wants to believe.
The ending was almost the end of my kindle and needing to get my hands on the next now is a must.
I can’t wait to read everything by this author. Awesome style and perfect flow of her stories.

I give Endless Night (Dylan Hart Book 2) by RM Gilmore, 5 stars.
I didn’t really know where the author was going to go next or if she could top book one. I have to admit, I was pleasantly surprised at this book. I love the balance it plays between suspense and romance. Taking Dylan and company to New Orleans was great too, because it now shows us how she reacts when out of her element. The relationships she has with her people are changing too, and she has to deal with that on top of everything else. I’m not sure if I personally like all these changes, but I can understand and anxiously await to see where they lead in the future.
If you have read book one, you know that Dylan attracts trouble like no other. So needless to say, she is in it again, without even trying. This part of the story is where the suspense part comes in, but true to the series, there is dark humor and sarcasm all throughout the book. It would not be a Dylan Hart book without her plus sized attitude. Although she is still endearing because she does have a heart and a softer side.
If you like a suspense book with snark, humor, attitude, and a wonderful cast, this book is for you. It can be read as a standalone since the author does a great job of reminding us what happened in the past, but I highly recommend reading book one first. Either way, you will not regret picking up this book.

Vampires, Voodoo and extreme drunkenness; just another weekend in New Orleans. Tatum convinces Dylan to go to New Orleans to keep her company during some vampire convention. Dylan figures it’s the perfect opportunity to do more research for her book. Dylan is unwittingly sucked deeper into the world of vampires and in perfect Dylan style accumulates more enemies. What should have been a party filled weekend getting drunk ends up by being a weekend where she’s fighting for her life.
I really enjoyed this book. I was hoping Tatum would redeem herself in this book but unfortunately I still can’t stand her. I loved the fact that we saw more of Cyrus. I know Dylan doesn’t trust him but I like him. Sometimes Dylan is too stubborn and stupid for her own good. She gets into a lot of trouble which adds excitement and danger to this novel. All her beliefs are crumbling and the story ends on a cliffhanger. Now I’m left hanging until the next book.

Omg this book was even better than the first one. It was gripping and a page turner.

Dylan gets on the wrong side of a preistess who curses her. Now she is starting to see images of dead bodies and bleeding wounds. Dylan is scared to death and she flees leaving Cyrus caught in the preistess trap.
Can they solve this and break the curse she is under or will she be stuck seeing dead bodies forever.

Endless Night by R.M. Gilmore was a great sequel story! I again had trouble putting this novel down! Loved the characters, the development and the story line. Dylan again had all the humor and wit that you could possibly fit into a story. Loved the drama and the suspense that was interwoven. Endless Night (Dylan Hart Book 2) by RM Gilmore is a fast-paced paranormal mystery and better than the first. This book sees Dylan once again the centre of attention as it appears, she has been set upon by magic older than time and the reason why is unsure but this sassy loudmouth cannot keep her anger under control once her goat is up. This thrilling read is set in NOLA and is ripe with vampires and voodoo, mystery and danger, drama and suspense. My only complaint is that RM always leaves me hanging when the going gets good so now I am anxiously awaiting the next book.

R. M. Gilmore does it again. Endless Night, in my opinion, is even better than The Scene, book 1. By the way you need to read The Scene to fall in love with Dylan. She is a feisty character that you swear is your lost relative. Dylan is still dealing with vampires but this time she is heading to New Orleans. What other trouble do you think Dylan will be getting in trouble with? Her attitude and her head-strong has brought her through her life so far. Will those charms keep going? I highly recommend this book. I cannot wait for the next adventure.

Endless Night by RM Gilmore a five-star read that you won’t want to end. This is number two in the Dylan Hart series and follows Dylan on the amazing journey they call life, if there is a limit this character can push they will. This is such a fast paced, thrilling read that is so well described you will feel part of the story, feel like you are there in NOLA with them. I enjoy the secondary characters and the twist that we get with the bestie, that just kept it real as that’s life for some of us. But there are other who step up to the plate, I’m just not sure how far they stepping yet. This was a great second story and I can’t wait for the next instalment.

I enjoyed R.M. Gilmore’s take on a vampire love story and vampires in general. The story took a different turn for me and I was left wondering at times who really was the good guy. R.M. I know every time I pick up a R.M. Gilmore books will be awesome. Her stories really make me think throughout the story. This story is no different. This plotline is a suspense paranormal genre. There is something in it for everyone. I found myself flying through the pages because I wanted to know what was coming around the corner. I did finish the book in one sitting. The characters are unique and fully developed. Dylan is a journalist who takes her job seriously. She is a strong female character. She is trying to figure out what is going on. She needs to see if there is really a vampire causing this death. I highly recommend this book and I cannot wait to see what the series holds for us.

The Scene by R.M. Gilmore was a great novel! I loved reading this story, I could hardly put it down! Some mystery and suspense, mixed with the paranormal and a bit of gore was the perfect combination for a great book. Loved Dylans’s quick wit and dry humor. That type of humor is a favorite of mine! I immensely enjoyed this book and can’t wait to read the next installment!

Endless Night (Dylan Hart Book 2) by R.M. Gilmore. This is the second installment in the Dylan Hart Series and its even better than the first. Dylan Hart is a promising writer that is interested in true crime and writing a book on it until she meets some vampires. She then decides she wants to write her book on Lifestyle Vampires and wanting to learn all she can about them accepts and invitation from Tatum, Cyrus & Malcolm to head to New Orleans for the biggest Vampire Event ever. Dylan and her big mouth don’t waste any time after arriving and she pisses off one of the biggest Voodoo Priestess’ there is. So now not only is she dealing with bloodletting vampires she now has to contend with voodoo curses. Dylan is trying to turn a blind eye to everything going on around her but will that blind eye cause her to lose her life? Endless Night ( Dylan Hart Series #2) By R.M. Gilmore 4 Stars!!!!
The Search continues and so does the series and I was not let down. This is the second book in the series and yet again the author has totally sucked me in. I really like how the characters jump right off of the page and into the world I envision in my head. I felt as though I was right in the thick of things right next to the characters. This book does a wonderful job of continuing the series and flows really well from the first book.
I really liked chasing the story alongside Dylan and find out how things continue to unfold between her and Cyrus. I really have a love hate relationship with cliff hangers but the author has a done a spot on A+ job of one for this book. I like how Dylan’s story is starting to unfold and how she does have to evaluate her relationships and how they really are all important to her. I love investigations and supernatural ones really just hit the right spot. I cannot wait to read more from this author and this series. I need to know how it will all unfold.

The Scene ( Dylan Hart #1) by R.M. Gilmore 4 Stars!!!!
It’s a wonderful feeling finding a new author and a new series. This is the first book by this author I have read and the first book in the series and I was not disappointed. The author has a very refreshing style and characters. I really love the whole investigative journalist angle and come on who doesn’t love vampires! I really like how the characters just jump right off of the page and I felt as though I was in the thick of it with them.
I really could see myself in Dylan’s place chasing the story and chasing all the leads. I really like how she is down to earth and isn’t afraid to get the story. I also like how the author doesn’t make the story transparent and that it makes the reader just as much an investigator as Dylan. I really like the chemistry between Dylan and the detective and also Dylan and Cyrus. I like how she is a bit uncertain about Cyrus and I look forward to how things progress in the series with this. I will definitely be reading more from this author and this series.

The party continues and Dylan Hart DOES NOT disappoint. My heart deeply loves Dylan’s character and Gilmore’s writing style is proving to be an awesome adventure every single time. For full enjoyment this book should be read in series order. But Gilmore’s literary skill would allow someone to pick up this book and enjoy it thoroughly without reading the first. A fantastic adventure. I cannot wait to pick up book three!
