This book was quite short and the romance was cute. Leann is like a puppy, very excited and agreeable. Len has some past heartache which is addressed and overcome so quickly. Despite having some shady relationships in the past, Leann instantly gravitates to Len which I found to be a bit odd. The main plot twist in the story was also resolved too easily. I wish it was longer and explored the troubled past of both characters more. It felt like mostly pleasant chatter. Enjoyable and quick, but would have liked a little more tension, passion, or drama to keep me invested.

This is a cute story. The characters all are well rounded with past traumas that lead to interesting interactions between them. Nash is a military veteran who lost an eye. His past trauma and heartache make him a character I instantly liked. Betsy is a librarian who is careful with her heart. I love the independence she shows throughout the book. The book has many eventful moments and was a cute, quick read from the start. Will definitely be keeping my eyes open for more!

Leann has just graduated college and is about to strike out on her own with a new job in the towns bank as its new manager, new apartment and a new boyfriend, a local cop who works for the Bartlett Police department. After a stressful couple of years and a bit of bad luck, it seems like things are starting to look up for her and when she meets her new boyfriend, she is all smiles and happiness, something she has had in short supply, apart from when around her family and he seems just what she is looking for, meanwhile, he is just as happy to be around her and they try and either talk or message at least once a day around their shifts at work, but one day there is a robbery at the bank and Leann has just one opportunity to tell her boyfriend what is happening, but will he get there in time to stop the robbers, or will he be too late? This is a romantic suspense with sweet romance and danger combined to keep you on your toes throughout while also indulging in the innocence the romance provides.

Zoe and Nix are elves from the Twilight Realm, both of them have their secrets and a past which haunts them every day, Nix in particular has the same dream where he relives the deaths of his parents, the King and Queen of the Twilight Realm at the hands of Elves from another Realm. He watched them being killed because he wouldn’t come out of hiding at the killer’s request, but now his dreams have changed and he is wondering if now is the time he has been dreading all the years since the event happened. He has been living with this dread for years and has been trained by the elf who helped him to escape and to blend in with the elves living around them so that he wouldn’t be found and killed himself, however reluctant he is to take on the mantle of King when he is older.
Zoe has been experimented on from a young age by her parents when they discovered that she had strong magic running through her veins, but not just any magic, living magic and so they used tattoos to try and subdue and control her, however, their plan didn’t work, or at least not in the way they expected, instead, they have become living things all of their own who help Zoe to deal with the experiments. The last time she was brought in for her mother to complete one of her procedures, something went wrong and now Zoe feels like her magic has been fractured, but the last straw comes when she sees that they are starting to experiment on another young elf like her, so she gathers her things and the child and escapes.
After Zoe escapes from the fortress she grew up in, she comes across a tree which doesn’t look like any other she has ever seen and inside she is welcomed by an old elf who offers her food and a bed to rest in, he appears kind and both her and the elven child are exhausted so she accepts his offer. As the time passes, she stays with the old hermit and helps to rescue street children and give them a home and a new life, but still she is drawn back to her old home despite the dread it instils in her.
One day, Zoe and Nix meet accidentally while listening to an announcement in a local town square, the contents of which shock Nix into a realisation that he will have to confront his past, but while starting on this process, bumps into Zoe again and they get in each others way, however, when they help each other on another night, it leads to them having an open and honest conversation, however, this is interrupted with news that Zoe’s home has been attacked and the children taken back to the fortress. This is where their paths align, but will Nix be able to convince Zoe that they could make a powerful team and that their goals are the same, or will their combined secrets lead to them failing the Realm and its inhabitants in their hour of need? This is a fantasy adventure full of magic and secrets which pulls you into a different world where nothing is as it seems and danger lurks around every corner as futures are fought for while pasts are revealed.
This is the second book in this series and a bit shorter than the first one. You don’t need to have read the first one to read this one, but I think it’s a good idea to read it because you will have some back story on Leann and her sister. In this story we get to see how much Leann has matured. This was a really quick read, I honestly wish this book was longer because it felt a little rushed at times and I would have liked to get lost in the story more. I was happy to see that Leann finally met a good guy. Len is a police officer who checks in with her to make sure she’s safe and then one day she isn’t. If you want to find out what happens then you need to read this story that has romance and suspense.

This book was amazing. It is packed with so many and so much emotion. Once I started, I couldn’t put it down. This is my first book by this author and I was not disappointed. I felt as though the characters were right in front of me. I can’t wait to read more in this series.

So this is a first time read from the author. Just saying I sat down intending to read a few chapters and got swept away. Literally read in one sitting! I just couldn’t put down once started. I had to read it ALL! GREAT on every level as well. Characters, storyline and plot all were entertaining, and magical. Really great start to the series and soo eager to read the next book. If you are a YA, paranormal, fantasy lover then I highly recommend giving a read!

If you like shifters, mystery’s and good books that will have you hooked from the beginning, then this is the book for you. Dalia Nite is a shifter who has to leave her world behind due to being wanted for execution. She goes to the human world for her own safety and helps keep them safe from things that are lurking in the shadows so to speak. When a string of mystery murders come up she has to solve them and fast. Can she do it before more people die? I love her character the absolute best, I know she’s the main character and I’m supposed to but I really did just absolutely love her. She’s so strong, she’s fierce, and I loved that she met every problem head on! I would highly recommend this book.

I absolutely loved this book! The world that K.M. Wray weaves in this first book Twilight’s Curse is, for lack of a better word, fantastical! There are so many elements of this world, and all seem so magical and enchanting. While the individual pieces of K.M. Wray’s Twilight Realm are magical, the story still has some darkness to it. The characters are well-written and still have some realism to their emotions and thoughts, which helps connect the reader to them. There are many characters in the story, but their connections to one another are explained to the reader, which I really enjoyed. I have read many Young Adult fantasies before and Twilight’s Curse ranks among one of the more interesting I have read. I cannot wait for the rest of the Trilogy!

A BDSM that’s super erotic, steamy, passionate and raw- what’s not to like? A fairly short read but definitely worth it. There is so much emotional pull, complexity and layers within this story. Extremely well written. You can feel the connection between Elgin and Mary, and their pasts that bring them together.

What a way to start a series! A paranormal story completely action packed with mystery, drama, suspense- I could not put this book down! The characters are so well written, especially the main character, Dahlia, who is kickass with the perfect amount of sass. I was engulfed into Dahlias journey and felt like I was right there with her throughout the book. I cant wait to continue the rest of the series- definitely a must read for Paranormal lovers.

this is a great MM Romance story and it takes you on a quick and fast ride through denying true love and honoring someone’s death.
the story I feel lacked some “meat and bones” as it was so fast I was left wondering why this character was so intent about refusing his natural mate and what in his life and community and society had shaped him in such a way. the book touches on it but not enough.
however their natural connection finally is explored in the end and though it was quick I fell in love with the characters quickly and was intrigued with the death rituals of this society.
Dahlia is a half dragon half human brainwashed into believing she owes everything to the high ranked dragons. she’s trained to not question and assassinate as directed and was great at her job… that is until she hesitates killing a child as her unknown empathy powers awaken.
this hesitation is seen as insubordination and she’s sentenced to death. however she escapes narrowly into the human world via a portal and tries to start over hiding among humans
dahlia is a well built character and you will cheer for her as she escapes brain washing and discovers who she is. don’t miss this story, or the second one after as both are edge of your seat Page turners!!!

Need a holiday pick me up? This book is the perfect thing to get you into the somewhat nontraditional Christmas mood. It took me until about chapter 2 to be completely obsessed and finish the book in one sitting. Jace is a typical hot super-smart navy seal and Olivia was a typical little sister (even though she’s a twin) having several sisters I know what it’s like to be overshadowed throughout life. Olivia and Jace are so adorable and honestly, I’d love to see this book turned into a short-made for tv series for a hallmark or even a hallmark movie. Olivia needed to believe in Christmas magic to make her dreams come true and honestly so adorable.

Oh my goodness! I am in love with all the elven characters in this boo, well most of them anyway! From page one, I entered the Elven Realm and never looked back. I am so hooked on fantasy stories and this book is just perfect! The Elves, Brownies and other cute creatures made such a huge impact in this story. I love, love, love Nix and his advisor and mentor Nate. A coming-of-age story when one must grow up before he thinks he is ready set in the fantastical realm of elves and other magical creatures. I touch very tree that I am near in hopes that their secrets will be revealed to me. I cannot wait to read the rest of the books in the series. This author captured my heart and the whimsy of those we cannot see unless we are willing to accept that magic exists. My blood boiled when I read about Sirina not being a very nice mother/person and the cruelties she applied to those weaker than her. The moving tattoos are just so amazing to read about and really could picture them splitting off from their person and becoming helpers. I could feel their warmth and compassion as described by the author. Such a great book. The characters are so well written and fun to get to know. A must read for all!

This book is 2nd in the series, and I was super excited to read this book. I highly recommend reading book 1 first in the series in order to get to know the characters and background. You meet Derek and Julia in book one so I was very excited for book 2 about their characters. I love that the Derek and Julia captured my heartstrings. Derek is all about saving others and is part of the Resistance. One of the people that Derek saves is Julia and he is totally drawn to her. Julia has been through a lot and back and I could never imagine myself what she went through. As Derek and Julia grow closer, so do their feelings. Can they both overcome their fears and love but make sure the Resistance is safe?
The world as we know it in this book is just so dark, technology no longer exits and just how people are treated. This is such a great book that is mysterious, action and intensity along with some great moments of chemistry between Derek and Julia and I am so looking forward to book 3!! 5 Stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

This book is a great example of finding the beauty in everyday, simple things. I thought the author did a great job of reminding the reader that it isn’t always about the big things in life that make special, but rather the smaller more inconsequential aspects. The author really takes you on her journey with this book. She makes it all seem.so relatable while also showing you how you can adjust your own way of thinking to do the same. I thought this whole book was such an interesting read and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Twilight’s Curse: Book 1 Twilight Realm Trilogy by K.M. Wray
This is the first book by the author that I’ve read. It won’t be my last and I am certainly looking forward to the next book. Twilight’s Curse is book 1 in the Twilight Realm Trilogy.
Zoe is the daughter of the one who is taking over Twilight Realm. She is not really loved as she is being used. When she meets Nix she knows something is different about him. The quote I chose for Zoe is: “Where to? Surely you’re not allowed to try another tattoo after what happened the last time.”
Nix was thirteen years old when his parents were killed. What the murderer doesn’t know is he watched his parents die. The quote I chose for Nix is: “Elek, my father. What did he mean when he said that he sacrificed himself for the Twilight Realm?”
Twilight’s Curse is about a young elf, named Nix, who was in line for the throne of the Twilight Realm. His parents were brutally murdered by Zoe’s power hungry parents. This is the first book in the Twilight Realm Series. I could not put this book down. The tragedy, the heartbreak, emotions flying everywhere. This book will make you feel like you are on a rollercoaster. This is a spellbinding YA fantasy novel that embraces the meaning of power and magic held in an enchanting elve realm.

I read this book so fast. Instantly hooked and stayed that way the entire time! I don’t even think I took breaks to eat. I had to know what was happening. I’ve loved both books in this series. I really enjoyed getting to understand more of what their community looked like. The details were great, and it helped me imagine what this “world” would look like. Can’t wait to see what comes next!

At only 68 pages this is a very quick read. However I felt that the author could have done so much more justice to the characters and the storyline if it was made into a full length novel. The book is the second instalment in the series but can be read as a stand-alone. I would suggest that you would get more from this book if you read the first book in the series as you get to know the background of main character Leann in book 1 which is the story of her big sister Betsy. One thing I did really like about this book was getting to see Betsy and Wyatt again and seeing how they are doing in the future. In this book we get the story of Leann Bobbin and her new boyfriend Len. I like both Leann and Len as characters and felt that the author could have done so much more with them in a longer story. As with character progression, I feel that there could have been so much more added to the storyline. Each part of the story felt very short and then jumped to the next section, when the author could have expanded on each part of the story. I did like the characters and I liked the overall storyline, I just felt that it could have been so much more.

This is a lovely short romance story. Even though it is a short story it feels complete and the author doesn’t miss anything out. The characters are well written and easy to relate to. Len is a police officer who was injured in the line of duty. Now he’s stuck behind a desk and hating every minute of it. Everyday is the same until he goes to a barbecue and meets Leann.
The attraction between them is instant and as their relationship grows Len checks in consistently with Leann to check she’s OK. To some people it might see obsessive but Leann loves it and it would eventually help to save her life.

I enjoyed this dark mafia romance story that I enjoyed from beginning to end. This is a new author for me which I enjoyed her writing style as well as her attention to details. I enjoyed being pulled into the story by the characters who kept the story engaging and entertaining to read. The growth of the plot and characters made the story hard to put down. This is a story about Lily and finding herself and the strength to accept who she is but the question still remains is she strong enough to break the chains? I enjoyed what she brought to the story and the suspense part of it. She is a strong character that has quickly become my favorite. I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next to the most wanted woman in the world.
Surprise Baby For Mr. Fischer is the second book in the Curvy Ever After series by Stephanie Harrell.
This was such an enjoyable read. Harper knows what she wants. She wants to travel the world searching for antiques and collectibles for her family business, but her family thinks she needs to settle down. When she meets Lincoln on a night out she has no idea that he is set to be the next big star, she just knows that a weekend spent with him will be hard to top. She never expected to find herself pregnant. I thought that Harper and Lincoln were such lovable characters. Lincoln helps Harper see past her insecurities. They both have some big, life-changing decisions to make now that they are having a baby. They help each other through this and have many obstacles to overcome on the way. There was so much chemistry between Lincoln and Harper right from the start, they were a great couple to read about. This was my first time reading anything by this author, but I will be going back to read the first book in the series now.

This series is amazing! The characters are fantastically flawed with luggage, not just baggage, that are trying to be better humans. The characters are funny, caring, delicate, intelligent and despite being rock stars, completely relatable.
Luke McKenzie is haunted by the trauma of his childhood and the guilt of his wife’s death. Now he is raising his daughter with the help of his bandmates. After his most recent nanny left to start a family of her own, Luke is now looking for a new one. He has to meet his daughter’s very strict list of qualifications, including loves to dance.
Nikki Osborne has recently returned home after a disastrous experience at her last nanny job. She agreed to help out the local dance instructor with some lessons while looking for her next position. When Luke finds Nikki’s advert for an opening, he thinks he has found the perfect fit for his daughter. Is she also the perfect fit for Luke?
The emotional rollercoaster the author takes you through keeps you flipping those pages. I lost track of time and couldn’t put this one down. I am a Double D girl for life.

Sofia La Rosa is excited about featuring her designer clothing in Milan. While altering Eva’s dress, the mention of Ivan Pavlov being in town catches her attention. When Sofia questions Eva, her cousin shifts the conversation to Enzo Vitale. Sofia has always wanted to be in a relationship with Enzo since childhood. Unfortunately, Enzo was in an arranged marriage contract to Elena Caruso. Elena, presumed dead after an abduction which included Emiliano Vitale, couldn’t possibly fulfill the contract. Enzo assumed that he was now free of the contract and could pursue Sofia, since he had the same feelings. After seeing how his younger sister didn’t seem to recover emotionally from her traumatic ordeal, Enzo has attempted to distance himself from Sofia. In his mind, if she was with him, she would become a target. Discovering Ivan Pavlov has set his sadistic sight on Sofia, Enzo becomes determined to protect her. Why is Ivan pursuing her? Sofia knows the answer, but revealing the secret could drive Enzo further away.
I thoroughly enjoyed this Mafia romance novel. It picked up from the first book No Way Out, yet has the ability to be a standalone novel as well. The shift between Sofia and Enzo’s thoughts seamlessly transition well. The ending adds a suspense element that I feel I know the answer to, but I will only find out by reading the sequel. I highly recommend this 5-star novel to anyone that likes a good romance with the addition of a danger element. What secret does Sofia have that Ivan wants the answer to? Why is the Russian Mafia targeting the Chicago Italian Mafia?
This book was a good one. I have read a few books by this author and I am glad I picked this one up. The main characters were awesome. This was a paranormal read and so I was excited to dive in. I loved the main characters and the female MC’s were fantastic. They were super strong and all around relatable and really made this book enjoyable! I am looking forward to reading more of this series in the future! Happy Reading!

This is an amazing fantasy novel that combines romance a strong female main character and trials of strength, skill, and knowledge! The author does an amazing job in world building and character development. Talise is a strong character who is trying to get herself and her family out of poverty by going through and Academy and then through multiple trials. I can’t read the next few novels!!!
