Twilight’s Cure is a YA-young adult Fantasy book. I love the fact that this is a story about elves, dragons, magic, action, and drama. It is refreshing reading a book that had something other than vampires in the YA department. K. M. Wray is a newer author and so far I am loving her world-building story. It has captured my attention from the first paragraph to the final word of the book. The characters are outstanding and I love the adventure I went on with them. This is a story about Zoe and Nix. Zoe is an elf with her magic broken. Nix is the elf that is trying to help Zoe but she needs to stop throwing daggers at him and join in the fight for peace. Will Nix get Zoe to help him save his kingdom? Will Zoe get her magic back and quit throwing daggers at Nix? I highly recommend this book to see for yourself how amazing Zoe and Nix’s story is thought out.

This is a great second chance story. I actually wasn’t crazy about Cade at first, but as things progressed he redeemed himself in my eyes. I was feeling Winter’s angst along with her. I am enjoying the world that the author has created. Looking forward to the future stories in this series!

The Rowan siblings must now face the closet of secrets left behind after their mother’s death. Being in a small town, everyone knows everything, yet secrets and blackmail take place. Vic is a character that had to grow on me, jumping in the middle of her story I felt like I was missing pieces of what happened. Byrd Nash couldn’t have told this story better. It grabs your attention, because you just have to know what happens next, and then you learn each character’s backstory. A story full of “real” magic and romance, your just can’t be bored. Very fast paced and a great read. Highly recommend!

Twilight’s curse by K.M. Wray had me hooked in the first chapter! We start off with Nix, the Prince Phoenix who became an orphan at a young age when his parents were murdered. This tragedy causes Nix to go into hiding to stay safe. When we meet Zoe, she has an equal amount of sorrows and pain due to being a lab rat by her mother’s hand. I absolutely could not get enough of this book and am so excited there will be more books in this series! The authors ability to build worlds, characters and scenes with ease is fantastic. I love reading fantasy books and am so happy to have found this amazing author! Check this book out!!

The story idea behind this book is very solid. But, the way it’s transcribed is a little confusing. This book would make for a great Christmas movie on Hallmark and has the same “too good to be true” Hallmark cuteness. However, the part of how Olivia meets Jace would’ve worked better for me if she had just described her soulmate instead of knowing his actual name. That would’ve helped make the story seem a little more realistic and helped it flow a little better. Nonetheless, this book is a clean, easy to read book that makes me want to snuggle up in a blanket with hot chocolate.

A Spell of Rowans by Byrd Nash is a brilliant story that felt so original and refreshing. I absolutely loved how the author created this this of the three siblings with with interesting backgrounds. The intricate relationship the 3 of them have was everything in this book for me. Everything they had been through, and were still going through gave then such a depth. I was hooked instantly when I started reading this story. I loved that it had such a different feel to it than most books. Every boom I have read by this author has been great but I think this one is definitely my favourite- and will probably take some beating.
The Mating Call (Long Claw Pride Book 1) by Brooke May
5 out of 5 stars
The Mating Call is the first book in the Long Claw Pride written by Ms. May. I have read a few of her books and I have enjoyed them so when I saw The Mating Call, I knew I needed to read it and Ms. May did not disappoint. The characters where amazingly written and I loved the little quirks it helped them feel like a real couple.
Usually when I read Shifter books it’s the males that are the dominate so I was happy when the females in the story where the strong minded and more of the dominant and acted more like the alphas as per the males.
This is a short and great first book in this series and I can’t wait to read book two.

The Mating Call is the first book in the Long Claw Pride series by Brooke May.
Lane and Cheyenne are Lion shifters and destined to be mates. As soon as the couple meets there is no ignoring the chemistry between them. This was my first lion shifter book, I’m more used to hearing about werewolves, there are lots of similarities though and I really enjoyed it. The love story between Lane and Cheyenne is not a smooth one, they both have pasts to contend with but this just adds to the story and makes you root for them even more. The fact that they both have obstacles to overcome makes the couple much more relatable. This was an easy-to-read story, the pages turned so fast I couldn’t read it fast enough. I’m looking forward to book two.

Wow! What words can express even more how good this book was. The book takes off very quickly, I loved how it starts, and the moments of terror and suspense were so freaking good. I felt I was right there with the characters in the book, holding my breath in fears of it being my last!
Leann is truly a remarkable character, but watching her in the heist at the bank holding down those moments for her own survival was more than well done. Literally every moment and detail she talked about was critical. I swear if it was me, I would not have handed things as well. The emotional impacts was real and true! It was so freaking good, a short read, but it gives a lot, and I mean a lot! The details were vivid with great descriptions! I also enjoyed her founding relationship with Len, was a nice addition and played perfectly into the story. Was a great read! I for sure will read more by this author no doubt!
I loved the seed of the book and the emotions that went along with it! It was very easy to get hooked and want to know more. I felt I literally started it and then I had finished it, was a very brisk and entertaining read, I do recommend this book, if you want suspense and moments on your edge, this book is for you!

I actually really appreciated the slower burn and getting to know the characters for who they were aside from the little bit we learned in the first book. I also really enjoyed learning about their history and how it affected them in their current lives. I have always loved Amy McKinley and her books so this is definitely a series I want to continue reading!
Elements of the Crown is a refreshing take on elemental magic and overcoming obstacles. Let me say that this book took me on a journey that I definitely didn’t see coming. I was a little skeptical at first as elemental magic is tried and true, but this take on it is wonderful. And what a shocker at the 50% mark! You will never see it coming! Definitely worth the read!

A Spell of Rowans by Byrd Nash. This book was amazing! I loved all the characters and the story itself could be a movie easy! Its the story of the Rowan children and their mother, the mean, selfish, horrible person that she was. Rachal Rowan is one of those women who should have never been allowed to have children but she did indeed have them. All of the Rowan children have special powers and Rachal used those powers for her own good. When Rachal dies the children all are breathing a sigh of relief the wicked witch is dead! But Rachel has to go home to Grimsby to take care of everything and when she does Pandora’s box of secrets are opened. Not only are they having to take care of physical things but mentally they are still dealing with all the damage that was done! This book deals with a lot of triggers so be prepared if you read it. I highly recommend it!
A Spell of Rowans by Byrd Nash is not my usual genre. I had heard so many wonderful things about A Spell of Rowans, that I had to jump in and see what it was all about. I’m so glad I did. I was so sucked in; I couldn’t put it down. I loved the world-building and the character building. I felt like I could see and hear everything going on, and I really connected with the characters. I can’t say enough good things about A Spell of Rowans. I related to A Spell of Rowans on a personal level, I just wish I had their “magic” as a kid. Bryd Nash has a new fan!

I really enjoyed Blood Oath, the 2nd book in the Mafia Elite series by Amy McKinley. In this installment, we get more to Sofia’s story, the daughter of a mafia boss and up and coming fashion designer. Since childhood, she has been in love with Enzo, a mafia underboss and best friend of her 3 brothers. Sofia becomes the target of a human trafficker and Enzo swears to protect her at all costs. Both are fighting past demons of this same group who previously targeted Enzo’s sister and Sofia’s best friends. This is a fast paced read with a lot of action taking place. I also enjoy I learning more about the Five Families of the Chicago Mafia of this series. There are a number of characters mixed into the book but we are thankfully given a breakdown of the family members at the beginning of the story that I greatly appreciate. I look forward to the next in the series and the next friends to lovers this series introduces us to.
My emotions were not ready for the story of Tori and WIll. Tori is a psychologist who spends her extra time comforting terminal patients who are without family and friends. Will is a cancer patient who is determined to die alone. When Tori’s best friend Jenny asks her to meet Will, Tori has no idea what is in store for her. The characters of this story are so beautifully complex. Tori carries some past experiences that make her determined to help those on their deathbed, even if they don’t want the help. She believes in the strength of friendship to help others find peace. Will is stubborn and hurt, afraid of being a burden. He thinks the best choice is to die alone. Slowly, Tori starts to work her way into conversation with him and they soon find a connection.
There are so many realistic and relatable aspects to this story. The pain people go through at the expense of cancer is real. This story shines a light, not only on the feelings of the person that is ill, but the ones that care for them as well. The emotions are so raw I couldn’t hold back tears. I cried, I laughed, I was completely enveloped in the world of Tori and WIll. This is my first Amy Argent book but certainly will noy be my last. I am ready for more, I MUST know what comes next. I will definitely be reading book two!

This was a really interesting book. It was not the first book I have read by this author but I really enjoyed this one. From the authors previous books I expected a lot of magic and paranormal things but this was more of a murder mystery with some paranormal elements and it was really enjoyable. I loved all the characters, they all work well together and really make the story come to life.
This book deals with some subjects are sometimes hard to read such as abuse and the effects of abuse, a dysfunctional family, and murder. And though the books isn’t too graphic they are written in a respectful way that means the reader isn’t too put off by them.
The Rowan children have had an abusive family life thanks to their mother using their magical abilities for her own twisted and evil pleasure. Now their mother has passed away the siblings are free to live their own lives. However before they can move forward they will uncover secrets and realise just how bad their mother was. Things also go wrong when their brother is arrested for murder. Did he do it or is he innocent? Its now up to Victoria to figure it all out and prove her brothers innocence of the crime. With all of them being victims of their mother they are all now in danger from people looking to get their revenge. So while Victoria is trying to solve this crime and free her brother the rest of the siblings remain in danger from sources they don’t know about.
I’ve definitely been enjoying the world this series has created. Vanessa and her men sure are entertaining and the spicy scenes between them are hot enough you might need some ice. In this riveting read, we get to know more about Aroz and the connection that we’ve watched grow over the last couple of books. Vanessa gets sent up to the Overworld on a mission from the Queen of the Underworld and ends up finding herself trapped in the Upperworld with the god of Lust. While trying to find a way to escape and complete her mission she ends up catching wind of a prophecy she might be at the center of.

Fate, Frankincense & Funerals By Naomi Valkyrie ☆☆☆☆☆ This is a short story with a whole lot of feelings. This is a MM Paranormal Romance, it also contains an Adult theme. Besides recording the final words of Carissa. Acheron is fighting his mating call. With the help of Carissa and Errapel, Acheron is able to put his life into perspective. While the story is complete, I would have liked just a bit more for the mated couple. But some things are just the way they are. Being an unwanted shifter, Acheron was still brave enough to complete the work assigned to him. Naomi Valkyrie is one of my top authors. Her stories never disappoint. This is just an example of where her story’s eye takes her readers. This may be outside of my usual genre, I enjoyed it just the same. The characters themselves tell this story. Which makes for a strong cast of players. You are about to read a unbelievable page turner. Caught up in the first chapter, Naomi Valkyrie will keep you reading. Well Done Naomi Valkyrie! Well Done! ! !
If you love Hallmark Christmas movies with Elf-style magic, this is probably the book for you. While the story was written well, it just wasn’t my cup of tea.
Off to a good start, Olivia is an easy character to relate to; she decides a cruise is a better way to spend the holidays after her former love interest gets engaged to her twin sister, the sexy supermodel. Her first day aboard Serendipity, she seems relaxed and ready to enjoy her holiday, but also sad and lonely as she notices all the families and couples aboard the ship.
Everything kind of just takes an unrealistic/unrelatable turn from there. Santa and Mrs. Claus end up dining with her, but they’re the real Clauses who share a whole backstory about being from Christmas, Michigan, and running an organic Christmas tree farm; they also spend the off-season in a retirement community in Florida and “play” Santa and Mrs. Claus aboard the Serendipity cruise.
After a few too many drinks at dinner, Olivia is basically transported into a make-believe sounding world of Christmas spirit and cheer, where she instantly falls in love with a man who just so happens to have the same name as the hero in the romance story she’s writing. As if that isn’t a tall order to fill, the real-life man is an American hero Navy SEAL, Jace, who happens to have dated Olivia’s sister and turned HER down after a few dates, which of course, boosts Olivia’s flailing self-esteem and confidence in her own romantic prowess. Jace’s friends are aboard the cruise, as well, and instantly welcome Olivia into their tight-nit circle as though she’s been there all along, completely accepting that the two lovebirds really did fall in love overnight. By the end of the week-long cruise, filled with gingerbread house building and wrapping gifts for orphans, everyone’s ready for happily ever after. The book continues beyond that point to give readers a glance at what that looks like for the couple.
It really is a sickly sweet romance story without any sordid love scenes (perfectly PG). It is nice to see Olivia transform from insecure to self-assured, and the other character’s supporting roles in that transformation. The older passengers she dined with the first night of the cruise added some humor and sass throughout the story.
Aside from feeling completely unrealistic and a super fast timeline for two people to just fall in love, it was a cute story. I could see my mom, who lives for Hallmark Christmas movies, totally enjoying this book.

This is the fourth book of the Default Distraction series, a series that I would recommend reading in order as this series follows the same group of guys and the progression of their lives. I have loved every single book I’ve read by this author and this one was no different. This Rockstar romance series is one of my all-time favorites and one that I would recommend to everyone!!
I loved Luke’s story, it was touching and heartbreaking all at the same time, and I loved getting to know him on a deeper level, he was definitely the perfect swoon worthy character. Nikki and Luke’s chemistry could be felt through the pages and I enjoyed how fast their relationship progressed and I of course loved the way that their story played out. I cannot wait to read more from this author asap!! This is a series you won’t want to miss!

This book gives hope to those hurt by others. Breckin and Griff had both had their hearts broken in other relationships. Could they make a relationship work by letting the past go? The two of them show how hard relationships can be but by letting go of the past you can oftentimes see what you have good in front of you. The book had all the emotions: tears of sadness, tears of joy, laughter. I felt it all. I could totally relate to this book and I feel others will too. It was a fantastic read that pulled you in and because you felt the story; you couldn’t put it down until you finished it. I would highly recommend it for romance lovers everywhere.

This book was amazing. I am a huge fan of mafia romance books and this one did not disappoint. It had me on the of my seat the entire time I was reading. I was emotionally pulled into the book. When the characters were getting angry, I was getting angry. This book took so many twists and turns that I wasn’t sure what was going to happen next. I kept turning the pages trying to figure out what was going to happen next and was that guy as bad as the others thought. Will the main characters be able to have their happily ever after, was the main question I asked during the whole book. The character development of this amazing group will leave you wishing you were part of them. I always say that a great writer is one that can make you feel the emotions of the characters, and this is a great example of it. This is the first book I have read by Amy McKinley but it definitely won’t be the last. I have bonded with the characters in this book that I need to know what happens next. I am also going to have to google everything she has written and read them

Unlikely to Fit is the second book in the Parker Lake Series by Olivia Sherwood. I liked Griff and Breckin a lot but Griff’s Mema had laughing out loud. I want to be her when I get that old. No filter and lots of fun living life and embarrassing my family.
The closeness between Breckin, Annie and CC is a more like sisters than best friends and I love it. They are willing to drop everything to go help if there is someone in need. Doesn’t matter if they need an ear or need to get absolutely trashed they are there. Griff is just a great guy who will go above and beyond to help someone out and he proved that with what he did to help Megan out.
Great book and series and I’m looking forward to see who is next. I of course think it will be CC but I think there may have been a door opened for someone else. I’m dying to know and can’t wait for the book to come out.

This is the second book in the series. I absolutely loved the first book and was hoping this book wouldn’t let me down. Oh, how right I was. This book isn’t just as good as the first book in this series, it’s better. This is the continuation of the amazing group we met in the first book and really gives the background the two main characters of this book. It does also give you a glimpse into the other characters (I am sure there are more books coming). This has the twists and turns that I have come to love from an Amy McKinley book, but it also has the emotional heart string pulls. You feel for these characters and this book brought me to tears because of the way these two loved each other but were holding back because of outside circumstances. You are constantly wondering if they will ever just say “screw it” and be with each other or will all the rules of the mafia keep them apart. This book has suspense, mystery, action, love, and even humor in it. I felt myself go through every emotion while reading this. If you have ever read a mafia romance book and liked it, you will definitely love this series

Surprise Baby for Mr. Fischer is book two in the Curvy Ever After series by Stephanie Harrell. This is a romance with a fairy tale twist. This story intrigued, from the creative and eye catching series name, to the blurb. Another exciting element was the newness of this author. I had never sampled her work. But I was ready do jump in, no questions asked. These characters were believable, endearing and entertaining. A chance meeting, an amazing weekend together and the cherry on top was a life changing surprise. Intriguing right?? It sucked me in, hook, line and sinker. Harper and Lincoln are complete opposites, but the animal attraction that exists between them is extremely arousing and sets the heart fluttering and the pulse racing. I completely devoured this story. Loved the way the author portrayed each characters. Loved learning all their little quirks and what makes them tick. Sexy and soothing to the soul. A real page turner. A fantastic escape. 5 stars.
