This is the second book in the Mafia Elite series. The author has a great writing style that gets you sucked into the world they create around you. This was a great second book, I did feel like there was a certain something missing from the book, but I honestly can’t put my finger on it. You definitely have to read this series on order or you will miss alot. Over all a great read and can’t wait for more by this author!
Blood Oath is the second book in the Mafia Elite series that I’ve read so far. No way out was so good I had to read the second. I usually don’t like books that don’t really keep the main characters as main characters but I love this series. Sofia and Enzo’s storyline is so good. From their childhood to them as adults, I really enjoyed reading about them. There’s suspense but it’s intriguing suspense that makes you want to know what’s next. I can’t wait to keep reading this series!

Cross Country Christmas by Laurie Lewis is a wonderful story about finding love when you least expect it. CC Cippolini takes on a cross country job driving a Tesla from Chicago to Las Vegas. She wanted to honor her late father by going to Las Vegas because that’s where he wanted to retire. CC never expected to find herself stuck in a snow bank surrounded by cows and saved by Reese a rancher in Utah!
I really enjoyed the way the author kept the story moving and sucked me in pretty quickly. The two main characters, CC and Reese were easy to relate to as they learn to trust each other and share their life while feeling mutual attraction. The book is a great reminder for those of us who have been hurt by those we love but have faith that we will find love again.

I absolutely adored this book! It reminded me of a Hallmark movie and I just love Hallmark movies especially this time of year. It made me want to curl up in front of the fireplace with a cozy blanket and a hot cup of cocoa while I read it. CC and Reese are perfect for each other. They’re both running from their pasts and determined not to let their walls down but their souls immediately connect. There’s so much sweet romance mixed in along with heart break and action and lots of wondering where this story will end up. This book had me hooked from the first page and rooting for CC and Reese the entire time. The ending was so unexpected but absolute perfection.

Naomi Valkyrie had given us a wonderful short story of unusual shifters with unusual abilities coming together to find that they are mates. Vulture shifters aren’t allowed to take mates. This was a great 5 star read. This has quickly become one of my favorite authors for MC reads. I was pulled right in and didn’t want to put it down. I was excited to get Red’s story.
Red gave up his dream to care for his father, now that he has passed he is free to do something for himself. He gets on his motorcycle with the plan to find somewhere he can set down roots. He ends up meeting a woman on his journey and also comes across some men from the Satan Devil’s MC. As the years pass he earns the president patch for the MC. There is a twist when the woman from his past shows up. Will he finally find out why she disappeared so long ago?
Overall this was a great read. We do get some flashbacks from other books while we are going through the years. My emotions were all over the place. All of the characters added a great element to the story. I can’t wait to read part two of Red’s story so I can see how things end. Amazing world building! I loved the description of the trees they lived in, especially the Royal Tree, and the magic used to make them expand or hide rooms and halls. The book also talks about other ways elves build house with wood and bricks – the non-elf way to do it. Which seemed funny since that is how all our buildings are built! The idea of the different realms and the rivers that connected them, I was learning so much about their world as I read! The main characters were very likable and I was rooting for them throughout the book. Nix is the prince of the Twilight Realm and saw his parents, the king and queen, killed when he was 13 and went into hiding. I had not read many elvish stories before so I loved learning that they are still considered children until they turn 100! Zoe’s parents tricked and killed the king and queen. She was used as a canvas for her mother’s dark magic and tattoos and escaped when she was young. Her magic helps her tattoos come alive and I love her dragons! Nix and Zoe have to work together to make things right in the Twilight Realm. I enjoyed getting to know the nurturing brownies who took care of everyone and Nate the royal advisor. Overall really amazing book!

My children loved this book! It is full of adventure and excitement! The story also focuses on family values, helping others, and teamwork which are great topics for young readers. Along with being a great story, it is educational and can easily spark a love for learning more about the ocean and it’s various inhabitants. To encourage understanding and further learning, Feather Chelle has included a glossary of terms and a wonderfully detailed appendix at the end of the book so readers can learn more about their favorite characters.
Another page turner! Lauren is smack dab in the middle of another mystery. I love how Merissa Racine makes the whole story so realistic: in how Lauren follows the clues and in how she builds her story. I could read a dozen more Crawford Mysteries (and another dozen after that)! An amazing author who writes great characters! One of my absolute new favorites.

After reading the synopsis of this story I was intrigued and decided then and there to give it a go. I find for me fantasies and dystopian novels can be hit or miss. Some are easy to get into almost like receiving a hug from a good friend, others not so much. The author hit this one on the head with a beautifully written masterpiece that left me hunting down the second book to read what happened next. We start off meeting Talise and her aunt Marmie as they journey through the gate so Talise can be tested and gain entrance into the academy. The guard initially dismisses her, after all she is from the storm and people their do not typically can shape any elements. The storm is more about survival than making their way out of it. Talise surprises the guard by being able to shape all four elements fire, air, water, and earth. She works hard at the academy to become master shaper, after all it is the only way out of the storm. Everything is on track until her Aunt Marmie passes away and a newcomer showcases his skill in shaping abilities. All seems lost after conflict with Aadan at the competition in front of the emperor sees them both held in a room unsure of their fates. They decide then and there to work together, escape the chamber and hold audience with the emperor. He then does something unprecedented and decides to select two master shapers from this class. Training begins and is unconventional in what Talise and Aadan have read about what other master shapers went through. Slowly but surely secrets start unfurling and they are thrust in a war they may not be ready for. Can they both make it out alive and protect the emperor? Can their relationship survive the secrets? This is a very long read having condensed so many novellas to build this trilogy. Yet, it is one book you may have trouble putting down. Be careful with reading at bedtime, as that one last chapter seems to go on forever!

Sweet contemporary clean Christmas romance and great story. I really enjoyed CC and Reese’s stories as they come together. CC crashing a Tesla in a fence and Reese coming along as it is his ranch that CC crashes into. Both CC and Reese have trust issues and as you read the book you come to find out why and their pasts. I can say this book is very heartwarming, endearing that also includes healing from both characters. I felt my heart truly rooting for both of them.

Spoilsport is a fun, lighthearted, enemies-to-lovers romance. Nadia is an uber competitive and quick-witted nurse who prefers her relationships with men to fun-filled and less than 24 hours long. She and Luke Pierce have a past, one that left a bad taste in her mouth. Unfortunately, his brother is the boyfriend of her best friend, Chelsea, so their worlds bump together often. Chelsea sees the spark between the two, and plays a bit of under-handed matchmaking to get Nadia to see the sweeter side of Luke, and start to trust him again. The banter between Luke and Nadia is full of fire and sass, and hints that a romance might be equally steamy. I enjoyed hearing from Chelsea and her boyfriend Tom again, after reading Book 1 in this series. If you enjoyed Book 1, I’m sure you’ll find Spoilsport equally engaging. If you missed out on the first one, this one definitely works as a fun stand-alone rom com.

This is the second book in the mafia elite series and this one completely knocked my socks off. While it is a stand alone book the characters and their interactions make a lot more sense if you read the first book first. Sophia and Enzo have history a lot of it, but as adults he is contracted into marriage to someone else. Mafia marriages tend to lend them to the best outcome for the families whether it be alliances, money, or power. Enzo just cannot get Sophia out of his mind and knows that as heir to a throne marriage would put her into a dangerous situation. Now Sophia’s well being is being threatened by an outsider who knows she has secrets about Enzo’s missing contracted bride. With Sophia being an up-and-coming fashion designer she jets off to Milan for the fashion show with an entourage of body guards and the hope that she’ll be safer. Only trouble seems to follow her wherever she goes. Will the secrets tear Enzo and Sophia apart? Can Enzo protect Sophia from a madman determined for information? This book was wonderful from the first page! KW Wray does a fantastic job immersing you in the world of her book with her excellent story telling and in depth descriptions. I haven’t read young adult fantasy in a very long time, and it’s just as wonderful and beautiful as I remember.
Magic, beauty, tragedy, romance, battles, hope, elves, brownies and dragons are all enveloped in this book.
You will want to meet Zoe and Nix as they tell their stories. I really feel that there is some good points about life buried in this book that will speak to many people. Even if you’re not into young adult or fantasy/magic stories, if you like an engaging tale with a wonderfully immersive world – check out this book. I look forward to the rest of the trilogy!

This is a new author for me, and I haven’t read books 1-3 in series, but you don’t need to as it can be read as a standalone. Brant is a rancher from Wyoming who has been going through a hard time. Someone has been hurting his ranch, killed his mom and is after his family. He heads to Oregon to find a man from his mom’s will and comes across Aubrey. Aubrey just lost the woman who raised her and is getting ready to head out in a solo road trip that’s she’s been planning for a while. Can Brant convince Aubrey that he and his family are worth being tied down to? Can Brant find out who’s been out to hurt him and his family? This was a great story that was slightly predictable but not too much. I really enjoyed this book and will be going back to read the first three books of this series that I skipped. If you like romance with some action and mystery thrown in then this book is for you!

Wow, where to start with this novel from Ms. Nash?! I suppose the first place I will start is with the gorgeous cover. With a cover like this it makes me have hope that this book could someday be a wonderful movie or miniseries like I dreamed as I read it. I loved this book and the moment I saw the cover it was like that must be a movie it instantly had those vibes coming off of it. The whole time I read it played out before me like a movie as well so this right here may as well be a a manuscript for a Netflix special lol. This book has so many layers to it from hints of paranormal fantasy to mystery and crime with twisted family secrets that will leave you scratching your head and also going well no wonder things are so messed up here. I won’t be giving away any storylines in my review because that will ruin all the fun but this is one you don’t want to miss if you like watching A Haunting or those types of shows. This book will be one I will be re-reading and enjoying again because I am sure I missed something the first time around. I hope that there is more of these to come from Ms. Nash in the near future. I will be first in line to get my hands on it!
RomComs are really Belinda Willams sweetspot and quite frankly one of mine when it comes to my one-click finger. Spoilsport is the second book in the hilarious and romantic RomCom Pierce Brothers Series from Belinda Williams and so far my favorite of the two. I didn’t think that was possible since I loved the first one so much too, but these books are full of fun and witty moments, quirky characters, sweet relatable moments, and storylines that are impossible to not fall in love with quickly! This time we got the story of Luke Pierce and Nadia. These two will have you giggling out loud and falling in love with love! I can’t wait to see what Pierce brother fun we have coming next!

I read this book straight through over two evenings (and one late night), completely ignoring my family and my responsibilities and I REGRET NOTHING. This book is action-packed, and had me on the edge of my seat. Dahlia Nite is a century-old lyrriken (dragon/human hybird) with powers of empathy related to grief and trauma. All to say she is a kick-ass fighter and protector of the human world from the various creatures that go bump in the night. After being hired to consult on a triple murder, she starts realizing that this is no ordinary monster or demon. She is forced to confront her own fears and enemies, while carefully keeping the human authorities in the dark about her real abilities and DNA. The tension between these worlds is so taut, and being half of this world and half of another keeps her balancing on a razors edge throughout the story. There are so many fight scenes that are written so vividly, you will feel the heat from the fire dripping from her fingertips. Great world-building, lifelike characters and epic battles you will not forget any time soon.

Check In by Debra Parmley is the second book in the Bobbins Sisters series. This is pretty quick, fast paced story that is easy to read. I thought the characters were easy to get on with and really helped go add to the overall story. I thought the connection between the two main characters was pretty relatable, even for such a short story. I enjoyed how the author created a full detailed story in such a short book. It didn’t feel like anything were missing and I really got into the story. This was a great book and a series I have enjoyed so far.

I had my suspicions on whether he was innocent or not. Merissa Racine does an incredible job making you go back and forth on your opinion. What I wasn’t prepared for was for Lauren to uncover the truth at the perfect time. The tension leading up to the final moment is absolutely delicious. This book will have your mind racing to find the killer and the motive but nothing can prepare you for the truth.

I just can not get over how good and awesome this book was! The fantasy side of the story and the whole love the one your put against type of thing, worked very handsomely in this book, I found everything I read through was easy to understand, and came together like a beautiful dinner plate! Amazing read!
As I mentioned I loved the fantasy side of the story, yes very much so! I really enjoyed the character Talise and her back story, and who she was, and how she came to be I really felt for her at times, and honestly between you and me, I was rooting for her in the Emperor’s Champion Game! Talise was a very strong character and had a lot of strength in her heart! That said, life is never easy right. Throw in a guy you meet and you begin to open up to in more ways than one, then realize you are basically against one another after what you both desire more than anything in your hearts. Not easy is it? Overall though, Talise remained strong and true. She was remarkable, and she is my personal favorite.
Other than a good strong female lead, which I did freaking love. I loved the fantasy side to this book as I have mentioned above. Magic and the conquests Talise had endured really came together very well I find. It really showed all aspects of Talise and her colors. I really did enjoy the romantic side of her and Aaden. Though they were made to be opponents, there is a thin line between love and hate isn’t there?
Loved this book with a passion. It was a amazing read, with sword fights, quests, magic, and even romance. Again I truly loved it had a strong female read, which is something I love having in the books I pick up, especially ones that along the lines of magic or fantasy. This was a compelling and very fun, amazing read to endure! Very highly recommended from me, this is one that you have to read!

Blood Oath: A Friends To Lovers Mafia Romance is book two in the Mafia Elite series by Amy McKinley.
This story kicks off with a bang and never really slows down. There is so much action packed into one book I found it a little hard to keep up at times, I still really enjoyed it though. I had already read the first book in the series, which I’d say isn’t essential but will definitely help you understand a little more when it comes to links between characters. I loved the main characters. Sofia and Enzo are both strong personalities and there is chemistry between them from the get-go. The author includes flashbacks which not only helped me understand the story better but also the characters. Sofia is such a strong, resilient female lead. Being brought up surrounded by such violence has made her sharp, strong, and fiercely loyal. Enzo needed to match up to this, and he did. I always have a soft spot for a protective bodyguard, and Enzo was no exception. This was a great second installment to this series.
Three siblings lose their mother. Middle child comes back to hometown because she is residing in the city. Once home disaster after disaster happen. They conquer everything together, including their powers, and each sibling with their love conquest.
This book was packed with good moments, from compelling meets to really good BDSM moments that could make this dear reader certainly swoon! I swear my kindle felt the moments as well haha. I loved the journey this beloved book took me on, the stories and past of our main 2 souls were certainly a deep closet!
I think I made clear, I loved the lustful moments between Hud and Mary Beth, but it was not only their BDSM moments that really were a great part of this book, but basically who they were as characters. They both came from a past. Ones that were not very pretty. I found this really added to the intrigue of the book and made me wnat to know even more. Despite their differences they ahead a lot of common ground, and that made the appeal of them both to one another much more powerful and pulling.
Another part I certainly did love, was more to do with Hud’s and Mary Beth’s past again. Hud is basically a broken man with a wounded heart. Mary Beth knows how to stitch those heart strings back together. Is she really the good hearted soul she is letting off, or is there more to her tale as well? I loved how much they swore off affections from another or even themselves the pull and the lust, with their personal wow factor was more convincing than their own words they spoke. The story was realistic and very powerful!
Again this book for me was a must read for sure! I fell in love with the author and their writing and very much how this story played out, and I was amazed as well as banging by a thread at given moments through out my reading! Amazing read! Loved it! Very high recommended! Do not miss out on this one!

The book was fantastic. I am a huge romance fan, and I love books that are clean and dirty :). This book was clean with no dirty scenes, I know some like that, and some do not. It even had biblical references a few times. However, once I started reading this book, I could not put it down, and that says something with my recently busy schedule. This book has two main characters who have pasts that affect them and their decisions, so I knew there were going to be ups and downs related to that, but even with it being predictable in some areas I loved every second that I spent reading this book. This is a really good paranormal romance. This takes the story of fated mates to a whole other level in the sense that when it’s the right time the couple physically feels the pull to join with their mate. This book contains things I love such as romance and shifters. You can’t help falling for the characters and wanting them to succeed and be happy.
Cheyenne is a strong independent woman, after her father leaves them she decides that she doesn’t want to hang around for her fated mate, especially if he turns out to be like her dad. Cheyenne decides she is going to try and avoid the mating call at all costs but what she doesn’t realise is when the mating call happens then she will be powerless to resist.
Lane has not had a settled life. So when he gets the pull of the mating call he packs up his life and moved to find his fated mate. However things for this couple aren’t going to be easy. Even though they are fated mates both have issues from the past they need to deal with before they can be completely happy together.

What a fantastic and hilarious story in this series. I believe that I like this book even more than the first one. I honestly laughed from start to finish and sometimes was laughing so hard I cried. I couldn’t put it down, so it was a very fast read for me. I am a sucker for rom coms, so this was no different. Personally, I would like to see this series made into a TV mini-series. Or even a regular TV series. These characters are that great and I could honestly see their stories played on the screen. The author has a wonderful way with writing comedies, and this was no exception. I can’t wait until next year to get my hands on book 3. Thank you for such a wonderful series Ms. Williams. I highly recommend that if you want to laugh until your insides hurt you pick this series up. You will not want to put it down.

Mark a hot shot attorney with a past he doesn’t want to reveal. Lauren an independent woman who doesn’t need nor want to be taken care of. When two meet at a mutual friend’s wedding, where their relationship begins lustful and slowly turns romantic. This book is full of real-life issues and drama that is so easy to relate to! Reading this book brought back lots of memories of my own personal relationship with my husband and was oh so nostalgic for me! 10 out of 10 recommend! I absolutely adored this book! If I could rate by chili peppers, this read would get 5 easily!

This is Book 4 in the series. Lukes a single dad now to a lovely little girl. It’s quite a raw book I disagree with it been able to be read as a stand alone. Default Distraction is a very emotionally heavy book and pulls on your heart strings. The little girl was thevl highlight for me. I am going bakc to reread the whole series to get a better feeling for the characters I would highly recommend reading the other before this one or your missing half of the story and don’t feel as connect to the characters.

With the final battle approaching, Matt and his two friends must learn to travel throughout time to obtain powerful artifacts needed to defend their world from an oncoming attack. The reptilian humanoid leader and his followers are planning total destruction. Traversing through many famous and dangerous eras of Earth’s past, and even its future, Matt and friends try to collect what is needed for a secret organization’s plan to save the planet. I absolutely loved this book! James Talisman has a way with detail and imagery in a series with such vastness, that he makes it so easy to picture everything! I could really feel the bond between the characters! The time travel segments to different eras had me reading as fast as I could just to find out what would happen next! The incorporation of mythology and Atlantis as well as the way that the ending reveals itself is as unexpected as it is satisfying. It really makes you think!
