Nadia and Luke are electric. Nadia is such a spitfire! I’m so glad that the next book in this series was about Nadia and Luke. I’ve been intrigued with their chemistry since they were introduced in Mr. Nice Guy. At first you think that Luke is a cheater and a liar until you find out his side of the story. Obviously Nadia is reacting so strongly because she still has feelings for him. I really enjoyed seeing the electricity and unfinished business crackling between them. Neither is able to resist the pull of the other. This story made me laugh, tear up and swoon so many times because they both have so much baggage to work through but the ride is so worth it! The ending was absolutely everything and took my breath away. Do yourself a favor and read this book, you won’t regret it.

You truly get the feel the bridesmaid and groomsmen are meant to be with this book! It had all the makings of a steamy story with that perfect lovable happily ever after attached.
Lauren and Mark have a hot and heavy one night stand thinking it’s one time and seeing each other again isn’t happening. When they do run into one another again all their doubts and insecurities come full force and even with the undeniable chemistry they still must navigate everything in between. This book was romantic, steamy and dramatic. Perfect for a rainy day!

found this coming of age tale absolutely charming. The author puts so much detail into her characters and world building that the story just comes alive for you. We join Nix and Zoe in their past and the present and even into the little bit of future we can see. Stories about mystical beings always grab my attention, but this one dragged me down between its covers and wouldn’t let go until I read the final page. Truly a magical tale full of light and dark, happy and sad, friendship and love. K.M. Wray and The Twilight Realm Trilogy have a forever fan!

This is the first book I’ve read by Hanna. It won’t be my last as I’ll be looking for more. The Groomsman is an amazing story. It’s an easy read and will have you wanting more.
Lauren is a bridesmaid who isn’t the luckiest when it comes to love. The last relationship didn’t end well because he was married. Now she’s sleeping with a groomsman. The quote I chose for Lauren is: “The bridesmaid hooking up with the groomsman, so bloody original.”
Mark has found himself in bed with a hottie. He knows who she is and that doesn’t stop him from wanting her. Can he get Lauren to break down her walls? The quote I chose for Mark is: “Isn’t that a dereliction of your bridesmaid duties? I haven’t finished with you yet. What about what I want for breakfast?”
Highly recommended for Contemporary Romance lovers.
This is the first book I’ve read by Lewis. I will definitely be on the lookout for more by Lewis. This story had me hooked from the beginning and I had a hard time putting it down.
CC is offered the job of the century. She thinks things are going great for her until she crashes. Not only does she crash her car, but she also crashes into a man’s life. The quote I chose for CC is: “Give me a list of what you’d be doing if you weren’t studying.”
Reese wasn’t expecting company and not the way he got it. Christmas isn’t The man’s favorite holiday, but when he lets CC stay things change. The quote I chose for Reese is: “Hold on a minute. I’ll have to dig you out a bit.”
Highly recommended for Contemporary Romance lovers.
Spoilsport (Pierce Brothers Book 2) by Belinda Williams
4 out of 5 stars
Another hot Pierce brother equals another fun, witty story filled with laughter, banter and romance. We get the pleasure of learning more about Luke, the divorce father, and Nadia, the stone cold (or so she would like you to believe) nurse.
Luke has worked hard to get his own business up and running. Working the long hours is a wonderful distraction from the limited time with his daughter. When Luke met Nadia the first time, the chemistry could light up a mid-sized town. Luke was in the middle of deciding what he wanted to do with his marriage. When Nadia found out that he was not quite divorced, she cut him off.
Nadia Alvarez watched her parents’ difficult marriage and knew that would never be her. Nadia knew that infidelity had played a role in the demise of her parents’ marriage. Nadia wouldn’t allow herself to be that person. She decided to have a life of love and freedom.
Nadia had bought her dream house about a year ago. Between quick fixes and fixes that allowed her to keep the house in a habitable condition, the house was slowly killing her and draining her savings. Now Luke wants the chance to help Nadia rehab her house. Nadia says no. Luke works hard to design a proposal that she can’t turn down. When Nadia finally agrees, Luke does everything he can to make her dream come true. But will his dream of loving Nadia come true? Will the end of the project be the end of his time with her?
Belinda Williams does it again. The story is fun, flirty, steamy, witty, and sweet. Nadia and Luke have to work through their own baggage to find happiness. It was great to see Tom and Chelsea back. I can’t wait for Seth’s story!! I love this series!!

A beautifully written dystopian romance series. Born to Fall is book two in the Can’t resist you series by Brittany Anne. This book picks up where book 1 left off except it is focused on Julia and Derek. **Read book 1 first**
Julia has been freed of her enslavement to her husband aka slaver, but her pain and fear still lingers. Derek is one of the leaders of the resistance. He has a lot of responsibility and work to do to help free the brain washed people that lived under the UNR’s rule. However, he is attracted to Julia and he wants to help her. He just doesn’t know if he can. Julia is attracted to Derek too but with the hurt and mistrust that she still has she isn’t sure if it could ever work.
I absolutely loved this book. We got to see more what living in a UNR community looked like and the damage it caused. We get the chance to see Julia in a compelelty different light and we get to know Derek too. This series is chilling because this could be a future realty. It is a what if series and that is terrifying. I cannot wait for book 3

This is the second book in the Mafia Elite series. I red the first one and have been impatiently waiting for the next installment. The book starts out showing us a small window of their lives when they were kids. Enzo helped keep Sofia safe, and made a blood oath to her that he would do so for the rest of her life. Living a mafia life, that is a big task. Tragedy makes Enzo pull away and leaves Sofia wondering about what could have been. Sofia finds herself in the line of danger to a very bad Russian mafia man. Enzo comes back to help with her safety. I love Sofia, knowing her life is always dangerous due to the blood running through her veins, she is not above still sneaking away from her guards to do things like go get coffee. She is definitely a handful. I enjoy heroines that are strong and independent with a big attitude.
Cross-Country Christmas (A Silver Buckle Brides Romance) by Laurie Lewis was a very interesting Christmas book to read. While I personally love a good Christmas book, this is one that I found myself thinking I could really read anytime if year, it was just that good. Ms. Lewis gives us fantastic but complex characters, lots of emotion, an amazing plot, and so much more that you’ll feel like your on a wild and bumpy ride. Filled with hurting and healing hearts, the celebration of Christmas, romance, and family this book will have you flipping the pages to see what happens next. This wonderful book opens with our main character the beautiful CC not knowing where she is or how she got there, will she be happy with her savior or will her secrets keep her from being happy? Will CC be saved by the handsome Reese? Will she be able to reveal her secrets and uncover his? You’ll have to read Cross-Country Christmas (A Silver Buckle Brides Romance) by Laurie Lewis to find out for yourself.

This story written by Laurie Lewis was a breath of fresh air after a long stressful week. I absolutely loved Cross-Country Christmas! Beautifully written and wonderful characters to boot. It all started with an accident that brought 2 lost and broken souls together! CC contracted to drive a brand new Tesla from Chicago to Las Vegas received some devastating news, which caused her to make a bad decision, landing the car crash and being buried under a snow drift. Reese received a call from a neighbor saying there was an issue with his fence. An issue that would forever change his life. With the trials and tribulations of the holiday season, plus the accident looming over her head, CC and Reese spend this story navigating life and being around one another. Will this adventure heal them both? Will it break them further? Will CC have to pay for the ill advised decision she made? Everything gets answered throughout this story, not without tears(which I myself shed at points) and heartbreak. This is such a sweet Christmas Romance to indulge in by a fire cozied up with a mug of hot chocolate! I dare you to do just that, because that’s the exact homely feeling this book represents!

Mark is an attractive lawyer that has never had thoughts of settling down and just moves on from woman to woman. I actually enjoyed this one more than the first one. Mostly because I felt like I had a grasp on most of the characters. With that being said, this series has me looking into some of the topics discussed or touched upon. I’ve always been curious of other cultures and beliefs even if they do not line up with my own.
What I enjoyed about this series is that it combined modern science with ancient beliefs and created a new world or an alternative world.
I felt like it was a cross between marvel, dr. Who, and Star Wars. Very entertain and action packed. I read each book in one day.
I feel like this could be read without having read the first novel but I highly recommend checking it out to get the background info.

What a read! This was a smoking hot read. I really loved reading about Lauren and Mark. You could feel the connection between these two even though there wasnt supposed to be any involved in this one night stand. I was able to dive right in to this story and not come back out until the end. Great read!

I loved the concept. Who doesn’t like multiverses? Who doesn’t like the past blending with the present and future? Super action packed. I would’ve given this 5 stars if I didn’t have a bit of trouble keeping up with all the characters. You can tell the author has a love of different cultures and traditions. Definitely a sci-fi lover recommendation.

This was a sweet and definitely spicy story and I loved every page! After a friend’s wedding, Lauren and Mark hook up for some fun and the story truly takes off from there. Mark does not have time for a true “relationship” and just wants to enjoy the moment and Lauren is trying to be all in with that, but her heart slowly tells her otherwise. Both Lauren and Mark both have some drama and secrets that eventually come out. At the end true feelings are revealed, but is it to late for Mark and Lauren? Definitely read and find out!!
I can say I loved Lauren’s character and especially at the end she knows her self worth. Mark really tore at my heart strings with his devotion to family.

Ok let me start by saying I know I know how could this possibly be my first ever MC book? However, I’m not sure I could have picked a better one to start with. The Satan’s Devil’s are a biker club based out of the USA and I found myself completely flabbergasted, enthralled, and on the edge of my seat.
The main female character Sophie has been put in a precarious situation that has her running for her life. Not knowing just how much danger she is in she gets mixed up being under the protection of the club and all that comes with it, when a man named Horse can’t help but want to take care of her.
Sophie has no idea what she has gotten herself into and while obviously cautious she doesn’t seem to have much choice given her current circumstances. Once she is taken to the clubhouse she sees things she never imagined. She is a woman who has lost a part of herself and is ready to give up, but when she meets the VP Wraith she begins to let her mind wonder what if.
Wraith is by all accounts a mans man who has no desire to be with just one woman or have an “ol lady” not to mention the President Drummer has already said hands off to everyone. You see Sophie’s wall start to come down but go right back up and your heart will break.
There are so many intricate layers to this story and the characters. I learned more than I ever knew possible but what I found moved the most by was that the author is one of best storytellers I have ever read. You feel like you are right there watching everything play out. We connected to each character in one way or another whether it be love, admiration, or immense dislike.
This story had tough storylines, it has suspense, love, disgust, passionate scenes and at the heart of it is family. You feel the loss, the wins, the anger, and will cry at least twice. This story grabbed me and wouldn’t let me go no matter what. I can’t wait to read every single book by this author. If you like action packed books with mayhem, love, and powerful people you will enjoy this book.

All fantasy and magic lovers need to read The Elements of the Crown by Kay L. Moody as soon as they are able to! The first book in the Elements of Kamdaria, the book follows the story of Talise and Aaden, combining the four novellas Ice Crown, Wind Crown, Dust Crown and Fire Crown into one, making for a long story but by the end you will be needing more!
Talise comes from the outer ring of Kamdaria, the Storm and her only way out is to become master shaper after her ten years of training at the academy. I loved the similarities to Avatar: The Last Airbender, Harry Potter and The Hunger Games, so fans of any of these need to read this book! I am excited to see what follows in the coming books, which I plan to read as soon as I am able to!

The Groomsman by Marina Hanna was definitely a 5* read. I loved it from the very first chapter. Adam and Jules got married and of course Lauren and Mark were best friends of the couple and both in the bridal party. Mark and Lauren hooked up the night of the wedding and had one of the best nights ever. A one night stand can never be that when they are both good friends of the couple. When Mark and Lauren see eachother again at a bar, they cannot help the attraction. They do not talk to eachother but Jules talks to Mark and he says he doesn’t know why he hasn’t called Lauren but he plans to rectify that soon and he does. Mark and Lauren have fun together for a bit but that’s all it should be…..fun!! Nothing more. Can they keep it at just fun or will one of them get hurt? What about a crazy secret that Mark has managed to keep from Lauren? This book was definitely a great read and I hope to find more reads like this one from this author soon.

What a delightful whimsical story! Nix, the Crown Prince, has to go into hiding after watching his parents slaughter at a young age. Zoe, an elf, is the daughter of the traitors who killed Nix’s parents so they could rule the Twilight Realm. Little did these two realize how much they need each other until their paths cross. This was such a great, easy read. I cannot wait to read the second book.

5 Stars Born to Fall (Can’t Resist You – Book 2) by Brittany Anne
Born to Fall is the second book in the Can’t Resist You series by Brittany Anne. I freaking loved this book just as much as the first one and I highly recommend reading the first book if you haven’t already. I’m a huge have to read a series in order kind of gal. This author continues to amaze me with her attention to detail and her ability to make you feel as if you are right there with the characters. This is a fast paced story that once you start reading you won’t want to put down till you finish or pass out like I did. I had to know what was going to happen next. This is Derek and Julia’s story ,he has always dreamed of saving the world so that drove him to join the Resistance. She wants no part but that changes once she meets Derek. When faced with a situation can she trust him enough and can she finally move on from her past? I highly recommend reading this to find out what happens next. I can’t wait to read more from this Author.

Stranded by Feather Chelle is the first volume of the Cetacea Chronicles. It is a book that teaches while sharing an underwater adventure about the creatures within the story. It is an enjoyable book for young readers. The writing is descriptive to give the reader a good visual of what each creature looks like as well as the location they are at. Cherish and her Pilot Whale family suffer from both a mysterious illness and shark attack. When it seems like there is no escape the Dolphin Riders save the day? I could not stop reading once I started. After reading this story I wish magical island of Cetacea was real and that I could visit it!
Feather did a wonderful job of writing a fictional work that also teaches along the way. I would definitely recommend this book to young readers as well as parents and teachers.
Shadows of Doubt (A Crawford Mystery) by Merissa Racine is the second installment in the Crawford Mystery series. In book 2 we continue to follow Lauren, court stenographer, further into her new job as she now works for her ex-husband who takes his place as judge. This time, when her town of Crawford is faced with a murder, she must either do what she is being paid to do, or go with her gut instincts. I totally appreciate the portrayal of strong and smart women protagonists, and Lauren has quickly become a favorite of mine. I started out with little knowledge of legal matters, but had no problems becoming engrossed in this story from book 1. The author is knowledgeable of the legal process, but writes it in a way that is engrossing, as well as believable. I fully recommend this series and hope there is a book 3!

A bachelor and a romantic met at their best friend’s wedding, we all know where this is going. The Groomsman by Marina Hanna is a sexy one night that turned into some more than was expected. Mark and Lauren sure know how to bring the spice and at the same time keep you turning the pages.
As this was only my second book by this author, I was not surprised by how much I liked these characters and the fun drama filled writing.

Nadia is a no relationships-let’s have fun kind of woman. She knows what she wants and refuses to let anything stand in her way. Even her past with Luke Pierce.
Luke Pierce is a divorced father who takes life seriously. He’s the glue that holds his family together and if you ask anyone, they’d tell you he’s responsible. But being responsible didn’t stop Luke from falling hard for Nadia in just one night.
Now Nadia is agreeing to hire Luke to help save the house she bought all while Luke has to keep his heart safe from her. They’re spending more time together, he’s seeing her let loose and she’s learning that sometimes you may not be able to hold back…no matter how closed off your heart may be.
Spoilsport is book two in the Pierce Brothers series. It takes place in Australia and Belinda Williams is straight up about it in the introduction to the book. The book uses UK English so there are some discrepancies towards US English but they’re common and easy to forget while reading.
Nadia is a riot! She’s all sass and fun with a little obsession with shoes. Sometimes it’s hard for the people around her to see who she is and she can seem a little mean if you’re not careful. She’s all about balancing work and play but she’s cautious about stepping too far into relationship territory. She’s opposite Luke in nearly every aspect. He’s serious and responsible and has a lot to deal with. But recently, Luke has been told he needs to have fun.
Spoilsport follows Nadia and Luke in the quest to restore her home, have fun, and try not to fall in love. It’s full of laughter, emotion, and you might find it gets a little steamy.
This was a fun, quick read, and I have one question. Where can I find me a Pierce brother?

This book was such a quick read – I was more than halfway done before I realized it. Though I hoped for more depth with previous characters, there was enough reference to the first book to connect the stories. I would have liked more detailed scenes, especially from the bank, but it was still a good book. Len is someone I would like to see further development of in any future books, and hopefully a deeper dive into the family dynamic.

Rock me to the Top is an easy-to-read romance set in the backdrop of the electric beats and growling vocals of the rock n’ roll world. I enjoyed this aspect, and liked reading the details of live concerts and life on the tour bus. Joe and Melody are childhood friends, and have the solid background of so many memories together. I found their friends-to-lovers romance to be a bit abrupt; I would have liked a more detailed build-up. I liked the character of Joe, and found his feelings and motivations to be well drawn out and believable. Melody slightly less so; I wanted to know more from her perspective about what her personality was like beyond her feelings for Joe Grace. It took awhile for her to reveal her character and what matters to her. Still, this is a fun romance with a good theme and the supporting characters round the read out nicely.

I did not know the life of a stenographer till now. Lauren is now freelancing with her stenographer position. She was doing a deposition for a Lady who ended up dying the next night. Now she is back in the court scene since the person who took her position had a baby and on maternity leave. Lauren is back to investigating while doing her job to help figure out what happened to her. During all of this, she still is haunted from what happened in the first book, and unraveling secrets she didn’t think would ever come out. She gains friends with a little drama while keeping her family relationships close. This is a great mystery series.

I loved this. I was hooked and intrigued from the beginning. The second in this series and absolutely amazing. I was on edge to the point I couldn’t put it down. Racine wrote this beautifully. The characters were amazingly developed.

A great Christmas romance story. Proper got me in the winter Christmasy mood. Liberty has her eyes set on a big promotion but does she have time to juggle work and a relationship.? Sawyer and Liberty are great together and they have smoking hot chemistry.
