Christmas Cove by Sarah Dressler. This is the perfect little book to get you in the Christmas spirit. Its the story of America Greene who is a big city girl and she loves her job as editor. When she is sent to Christmas Cove on assignment and she expects to be drowning in Christmas cheer but what she finds is no Christmas Cheer. When Leo, the town mayor,convinces her to stay the instantly fall head over heels in love. (It is a little Hallmark movie like). While they plan to turn Christmas Cove into a real Christmas mecca she also plans to write the best piece her employer has ever seen so that her writing career can take off. I’m not a huge romance reader but his sweet book made me love the town of Christmas Cove and its people. I felt like I lived there. This book will be a good read to get you in the Holiday mood and even gives a little sizzle with the characters chemistry!

This is the second book in The Ocean series duo. Even though these books can be read as standalone for me personally i should have read this one first before Where The Ocean Meets The Sky. In this story we follow Cal through his life from the age of 16 to 45. Reading this book really helped me to understand Cal more. To understand why he is the way he is, what happened to him to shape him into the man he has become. My Heart cried for him through most of the story. I felt that Cal was a man who wanted to love deeply and be loved in return but because he was raised to see feelings and emotion as weakness he closes himself off which makes him seem cold and uncaring. We follow him through his life as he struggles to find something he can’t explain. He calls it The Lonley and it disappears when he is intimate with someone but it returns after. He struggles to connect with someone on more than a physical level and the few times feelings have started to develop he runs away. Scared to show weakness and scared of being vulnerable and allowing his true feelings to show. As his story progresses he struggles more and more to open up and allow someone in until he meets Annie. Is Annie going to be the one to actually see through the cold hard walls and see the vulnerable loving man underneath. Is it finally time for Cal to be scared and risk being hurt to finally keep the woman he wants. The author’s writing is beautiful, very descriptive and allows the reader to completely feel the emotion. After reading this I will definately be going back to re-read When The Ocean Meets The Sky.

He spends half his life waiting for the perfect wave to break him free and help him find peace. This is a fast paced story that once you start reading it’s hard to put down. Can Cal find what he’s looking for? I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next. I’m looking forward to reading more from this Author.

I know I have said it with every review I have written for this amazing series but it’s so true that needs repeating that every single book in this series will keep you on the edge of your seat from start to finish and they just keep getting better and better! With each book you are taunted with new twists in the storyline that always keeps you wanting more. Master Sardinia and Madria are great characters and I can’t wait to see what is next not only for them but all the Masters and their mates. Please bring on book 9 fast I neeeeeeeeeeeeeeed to know what’s going to happen!!!!!!!! As this is book 8 of the series I highly recommend you starting from the beginning to fully enhance your reading experience.

This is such a sweet series that young readers can enjoy reading independently or having it read to them. Rusty’s grandpa gave him a brass ring awhile back that takes them on magical adventures when it is used while riding the carousel. This time, the carousel is the Christmas carousel in the mall as the one in the park is closed for the season. Rusty has his heart set on a specific gift for Grandpa but it’s a bit out of his price range. It’s during his carousel adventures that Rusty learns the best gift to give Grandpa.
This book does address elderly aging and Alzheimer’s. It would be a good way to introduce a young mind to this issue should it be something they should be exposed to.
This is the second book in a series and could be read as a standalone. However, you will miss out on a lot of adventures from the previous story, along with a much more detailed background.
I really enjoyed this story and look forward to reading about the Haunted Carousel coming in 2024!!

When reading the other books.in the series I somehow managed to overlook this one so decided it was time to finally add it in. Although I never felt like I was missing something, I am really glad I did because it is such a great story. It was nice seeing an earlier version of Jake and Cody and seeing how their characters had developed.over time. They are juat as engaging now as they were then. The story itself is fast paced and exciting. So much seems to happen in these books and I am always engrossed in this story. This is a fantastic book and the whole series is worth a read!

Where the Ocean Meets the Sky (The Ocean Series) by A.R. Hadley. When I started reading this series I wasn’t sure which book to start with so i just started reading and this is actually book 2 I believe but it didn’t matter because they are so good. This book deals with the untimely death of Annie Baxter’s brother. Annie is devastated and doesn’t really know what to do. She ultimately decides to go to Florida to work on her photography portfolio. When Annie attends a friends party she meets Cal and the only problem is he’s 45 and she’s 25 but regardless of their ages sparks fly. They are immediately drawn to one another and their lives are very similar to the point they can relate to each other. Annie is really an old soul due to all the trauma in her life. So the age difference doesn’t effect them at all. The lack of communication is the biggest problem between the 2 of them. This book was so well written that I felt like Cal and Annie were my friends. I loved this book!

The Christmas Carousel by K.L. Small is the second book in the Brass Ring series. It follows now 11-year-old Russell thorough a special seasonal Christmas Carousel in the mall. The seven wooden animals he meets help him uncover the true meaning of Christmas.
While I enjoyed the first book, I have to say this one was far better. It touched my heart to read about some of the historical events and people of Christmas. Many of the topics covered would be good for a young adult reader entering middle school.

I really like how this author is able to bring these books alive and enable a child’s imagination. Along with helping kids to learn to read. I just wish that my children were younger as I would certainly be buying these books for them. The author really builds a great world and is able to spark the child’s interest. I truly recommend this author and her books if you have kids. The characters are unique and the stories are original and help to get the interest in reading sparked. I look forward to reading more from this author.

The book features many thought-provoking possibilities of where a tech-focused society could find itself. It would be perfect for the reader that enjoys surprising twists with unexpected outcomes. It is certainly set in a unique world.

It feels like it has been such a long time since I read one of these books and this one has to be the best so far. It was so easy to reconnect with the characters and become engaged with the story. This book is just as exciting and fast paced of the rest of the series. It is action packed right from the word go. One of my favourite things about this series is the connection between Jake and Cody. It is lovely to see how much they both rely on each other, not just one way or the other. With each book, their relationship grows stronger. This author has created a strong and lasting series and I hope there will be many more books to come.

This book is part of 2 books in The Ocean series. This book can be read as a standalone thankfully as I’m not sure which way round they are supposed to be read. So I just dived in. This is a romance where the author has put 3 books into 1 so it is quite a lengthy read. However that being said it doesn’t feel like a long read because you get so invested in the characters and their lives that it flys by. The author’s writing is beautiful, very descriptive and really paints the picture of everything from the characters thoughts and feelings to the view around them. Both of our main characters are dealing with demons and struggling with life in their own way which is partly what the story is about how they both struggle to overcome their pasts to create a future of love. At times I wanted to laugh and at others I wanted to cry and on more than one occasion I wanted to shake both of our main characters . However I feel once I read the next book Cals behaviour will make more sense to me. Overall I loved the story and can’t wait to read the next one.
This is a beautiful story of 2 people who find each other, while having demons to battle which make them question themselves and things around them. As well as a age gap and the fact that they are only going to have the summer together both of them are powerless to stop what their heart desires. Can this new found love help them both heal? What happens when the summer is over?

I just absolutely loved this book! I think it is so important for children to feel positive about themselves from a young age and I loved all the positive affirmation in this book. it was presented in such a lovely way, with beautiful, bright, colour illustrations. The collage of positive affirmations at the end of the book was lovely. I would definitely make this book one that I read regularly with my child so they can practice positive affirmation from an early age.

Together Caspian and his Grandpa bake a bicycle and have a magical adventure on it. I love how these stories will capture children’s interest and introduce them to magical ideas. The story is easy to read and the illustrations are bright, colourful and engaging.

This was such a great read, I’ve read a few books by this author now and I really enjoy the stories she creates. I never really seemed to like Cozy Mystery books but this author has definitely changed my opinion about them. Genie and her ghostly great-great Aunt definitely make me laugh during their newest adventure to Italy. I was thoroughly entertained the whole way through. The author has a wonderful writing style that keeps you entertained the whole way through the book and makes you want to keep turning the pages to see what happens next. I am really looking forward to the next book from this author!

Christmas Cove was a really sweet Christmastime read and one that I really enjoyed. The characters America and Leo were such lovely people and I really took them both to my heart – I thought that they were both likeable and relatable. Alongside the main characters were some really fun and entertaining secondary characters who really added something extra to the story. The story definitely made me think of a Christmas movie and I love that it had that feel. Overall I really loved this book, it made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside and definitely got me in the Christmas mood! I’ll definitely be looking forward to reading more from this author again in the future.

As a child I always wanted to play detective, and so this book was right up my alley! I loved the characters and the way they played detective to solve the mystery! Looking forward to more in this series and sharing them with my daughter who also loves playing detective!

Each book in this series just gets better and better! I devoured this in one sitting because I couldn’t get enough and needed to see what was going to happen between Forrest and Kiera. There is much drama, danger, suspense, action, and spice! I appreciate the fact that the author does not rely on the steamy scenes to make the bulk of the book. The sensuality of Keira and Forrest’s relationship adds dimension to an already amazing storyline. You could read this as a standalone if you wanted, but getting the full background is always the best so I recommend starting at the beginning of the series!

I really enjoyed this deliciously slow burn! I’ve read a few books by this author and they’re all fantastic. From the very beginning I was very invested in the characters and what would happen. This author has a way of drawing you into their world slowly until you’re fully immersed. I read this in one sitting and was very excited to jump straight into the next book. It can feel a bit slow in the beginning, but I promise it picks up and you won’t want to miss what happens! I highly recommend picking this book up and getting lost in the world of Remi and Audri.

This book has a little bit of everything. Where the Ocean Meets the Sky is one of the longest books I’ve read recently. It’s one of those books you save for a rainy day. An age gap romance between two extremely damaged souls. And the way the author presents their stories gives the book quite a bit of depth. The author has you rooting for the two main characters in different ways. Drawn to Cal the moment she sees him Annie is still trying to pick up the pieces of her life since her rock(brother) passed away. Having felt lost the last year and struggling to push forward Cal’s very existence and focus on her, has her feeling alive again. However those around her keep pointing out the 20 year difference between them, and he keeps holding back on her. Will she be able to let her grief go and finally move forward with Cal? Cal has never been drawn to a woman, like he is Annie. But can he truly be with her? His past is lingering and it’s not something he’s all that willing to share. It’s emotionally and mentally taxing and he feels no one should have to shoulder that burden. Yet he pursues her anyway. He can’t stay away. Figuring one night will get her out of his system, boy was he wrong. Will he ever let Annie in? Will their secrets just destroy the fact they could heal one another? Things get complicated before they get easier. Which is usually the case, but since I said this book is on the longer side it should be expected. The author takes the reader on a heavy, painful, and healing story. One that some could relate too. I was partial to Cal rooting for him to take what he wants & fix what is broken, yet that’s easier said than done. So grab a blanket, find an oversized chair, and get ready to cuddle up because once you start the book you’re not going to want to put it down. The need to know is why I’ll be lacking sleep tomorrow…lol Learn from my mistakes and enjoy!

Nadia Han has given us wonderful characters, suspense, danger and so much more in this book, which is the third book in the WaterFyre Rising Series. These books can be read as standalones, but I wouldn’t as you will miss out on getting to see the shared past that ties the main male leads of these books together. **Be aware though this book has some trigger warnings and the author has kindly posted this..(Caution: This book contains sexual content, profanity, violence, mentions of suicide, and eating disorder. Recommended for 18+.) These triggers didn’t bother me or deflect from the book in any way for me, but I still wanted to mention them.
This is Forrest and Kiera’s story, and let me just tell you to get ready for some volcanic chemistry! I love Forrest’s alpha male vibe and how protective he is of his family and those he cares about. This turns out to be an amazing blessing as he rescues Kiera after she has been abducted and is about to be sold off. Forrest had to choose between the vendetta he has been waiting to see through since he was a boy and the girl who has entranced him. Did he make the right choice? He has already claimed her to be his, but will she accept and see it that way? Will his shared past from WaterFyre come into play? Grab this book and find out.
I read a great deal and usually see the plots and twists and turns coming, but this book really surprised me in a good way with it’s suspense, danger, drama, romance, heat, and overall storyline. Nadia Han is an amazing author that writes characters in such a realistic way that they truly come off the page and seem like they are in your world with you. I have loved this series so far and I truly can’t wait for the next installment.

The Inquisitor: A Second Chance Romance (WaterFyre Rising Book 4)
This series gets better with each book released and I get more invested in this group of people.
Forrest and Kiera have chemistry off the charts but things get awkward after their one night. Thank goodness for Texas.
I was on edge most of their time while reading waiting for everything to fall into place and questions I had answered and the bonus is I got to know more people.
I live just outside of Austin and have a affection for anything Austin. The shop Forrest’s grandmother made me think of a Metaphysical store on the East Side of town and was unable to get it out of my mind every time and I love little connections like that.
I have to wait until February for the next book to come out, but I will be on leave from work and plan to start reading as soon as it’s released.

Wow!! This book was fantastic. The Inquisitor is Book 4 in the WaterFyre Rising Series and I have to say I love all the books in the series but this……this is my favorite so far. It is dark, gritty, raw… with danger, secrets, lies, trafficking and romance…I cannot stop thinking about this story. While you could read this as a standalone, I very highly recommend reading this series in order to get the know what WaterFyre Rising is all about and the men who are involved.
Forrest Navarro is a doctor who is very smart, caring and looks into more holistic ways of helping his patients. What Forrest is also is methodical, constantly thinking of revenge and planning every step of the way…due to trauma he suffered as a child that continually stays with him. He has this bit of a dark nature…what Forrest does not plan for is Kiera Ford. He has never forgotten her since his one nigh encounter with her.
Kiera Ford is a photographer on the go, no time for relationships with her busy life. Meeting Forrest and having one night with him…she leaves unexpectedly vowing no more one night stands. With her job taking her to Texas, Kiera never thought she would run into the man that still continues to be on her mind….Forrest. When chaos ensues that leaves Kiera in extreme danger, will Forrest be able to save her before it is to late or will his need for revenge from his childhood trauma get in the way…..
Definitely read and find out. This story was fast paced and such a roller-coaster of emotions for me. I loved this story and I am looking forward to more!

Forrest Navarro is a doctor who specialises in immunology, but he also has a passion for natural remedies and mixing the eastern and western medicine so that he can help his patients to the best of his ability, however, he also has a dark side thanks to traumatic events from his childhood. Kiera Ford is a fashion photographer and works as a freelancer so that she can be more flexible with when and where and he loves her job, but she also has a passion for nature and photographing that is her hobby, but lately, she is having to work more than play more.
When Forrest comes to see family, it also coincides with a darker motive for being in the area, however, when he runs into the woman he cannot forget thanks to one night with her, he is determined to find out why it was only one night. Meanwhile, Keira is working at a high class camping resort with a brand who believe that it would make a fantastic backdrop and they weren’t lying, so Keira balances work and pleasure by scouting for the best places and once she has found them, she agrees to go to dinner with the others on the team and get to know them, but all that changes when she sees Forrest at another table, she cannot forget the night they spent together and how regrettably, it could never be more.
As these two mix work and pleasure, they begin to reconnect and work through their pasts, however, the peace was not to last when a string of events at the campsite rip them apart and an abduction places Keira in a dark place and when Forrest finds out that she is gone, he is determined to find her and destroy everyone who stands in his way, so when he hears about women being auctioned off to the highest bidder, he knows where he has to go, but will he be able to get to Keira before she disappears forever, or will their second chance disappear before their eyes? This is a fast paced and spicy romance where danger and darkness surround the light as it tries to snuff it out and kill the romance it shines upon in this action-packed dark romance.
