The Catford Catastrophe Zone by Petra Jacob – Review by Whisper Hymer
The Catford Catastrophe Zone by Petra Jacob
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
The Catford Catastrophe Zone by Petra Jacob is a dystopian science fiction set in the year 2120. It follows Frankie who is an undercover police officer in London. Frankie has aspirations to be one of the DNA-enhanced superheroes of the civil world. To attain the dream, she must do one more job. Going to a poverty zone – a place where the lazy, poor, and undesirables are sent – Frankie is asked to uncover rebellion.
The book features many thought-provoking possibilities of where a tech-focused society could find itself. It would be perfect for the reader that enjoys surprising twists with unexpected outcomes. It is certainly set in a unique world.
