This is the 4th book in the WaterFyre Rising series. Even though it is part of a series each book revolves around a different couple so you don’t need to read them in order, however I guarantee once you’ve read 1 you will want to read more. The author’s writing is so captivating that it grips you from the first page and doesn’t let go. This book has everything I love to read. From a strong protective alpha with dark secrets, danger, lies, passion, intrigue, human trafficking, and twists and turns i just didn’t expect for me it was definately a thrilling page-turner. This story follows Forrest and Kiera. A chance meeting brings them together and even though the attraction is there they think nothing more of it. Until Kiera is kidnapped and placed up for auction to the highest bidder. Scared and alone she panics until she spots a familiar face in the crowd. Forrest has his own demons to deal with and he is on a revenge mission to get rid of the people who murdered his family and he will stop at nothing until the last person has gone. When he meets Kiera she is like a Ray of light in his dark world and even though he knows he shouldn’t he can’t help but be drawn to her. When she sees her at that place he knows he needs to do whatever it takes to protect her but by doing so has he just put an even bigger target on her back from the people he is trying to destroy. Can he protect Kiera whilst still going after revenge?
This story is so detailed and I love the way it is told from both POV so you can get a complete picture of what each character is thinking and feeling, the turmoil they both go through as they try to navigate the dangerous path in front of them. Even though it is over 400 pages long I read through it so fast because i couldn’t put it down. I needed to know what would happen and if they would get their happy ever after

Mission Target is book seven in the Jake Wolfe Thriller series. I do recommend reading the previous books in the series just to get better character development but it can also be a standalone. Jake and Cody are back at it again, with more adventures, action, danger, and violence. Mission Target deals with drugs, and the aftermath of them. Jake and Cody must try to find the source of the drug war to end it before more people are affected, or killed. That is, until Jake becomes a target himself. If there is ever a person that can attract all the danger, it is Jake. This one is full of twists and turns and when you think you got it figured out, more information is released. I liked this one more than the previous ones but still way too unbelievable for me to get fully immersed into the story. I absolutely LOVE Cody and his intelligence and loyalty, so if there are any more adventures planned for Jake and Cody, I will definitely read them. Overall I would say this series is a solid 4 star, for me, but don’t allow that to deter you as it is a fun storyline with a lot in each book. reviewed by @zoltrixes

Key West Dead is book six in the Jake Wolfe Thriller series and can be read as a standalone. This one is probably my least favorite of the series so far, and feels rushed and not executed as well as the previous books were. It could be that I am used to Jake and Cody now, and predicting what is to come, so it could be a biased focal point for me. This time around, the duo are on a boat in the Keys with long-time girlfriend Sarah when someone decides they want to take out all the military in attendance. Cody is an ex-war dog that can do it all, and this time is no exception, and goes right to work helping Jake discover who is involved and taking down the bad guys. While we still have all of the action, danger, and over the top scenarios, the last two books have also had quite a bit of romance in it as well. This is still a good book to read, just not as interesting to me as the previous ones have been, but hopefully the next one will step back up to the plate. Anyone that is new to the Jake Wolfe Series may love this, as there is a lot to unpack in it, just like the others.

San Diego Dead is book four in the Jake Wolfe Thriller series. As with the previous books in the series, San Diego Dead is full of action, drama, danger, and violence. Jake and Cody have returned again, and as we know, trouble is always present with these two. This time around, a dangerous cartel boss has set his sights on Jake and his loved ones and doesnt seem to be backing down any time soon. These stories are told in multiple POV, including Cody (the ex-war dog), so you get into the heads of good guys and bad guys alike. Even though I have read through this series, I do think this could be a standalone and easily followed without the previous books. Reading the entire series does give background and insight into Jake and Cody, but the excursions and things that happens becomes a bit much and unbelievable at some point. Everything that can happen, does. I do like the action and the fast paced read of this series, but wish it was more believable overall. I still say Cody is my favorite character, and is such a clever dog. I will continue to read the series to see where else Mr.Nolan can take us with these characters and how much more trouble they can find. Thank goodness this is book 1 in this series because I certainly want to read more! I hope there is more magic and wolf transforming in the next book(s) because that is part of the magic! Wolves and witches don’t mix well in this story until Tanjie the witch and Al the wolf meet. They have a connection. Seems like it might be a lust connection but maybe it’s something more.
Tanjie has just discovered she is a witch however she doesn’t know what that means in the grand scheme of everything. She is learning but not fast enough for her liking.
Alaric, Al, has always known he is a wolf and is next in line to be Alpha if he can figure out his allegiance and prove his strength and intent to his pack.

Rise of the Y is the first book in The Y Chronicles Series and is a YA Dystopian that is unlike any others I’ve read. This is a new author to me and I’m going to be honest I had a hard t>me getting into this story, it felt rushed at times the storyline felt a bit lacking and I couldn’t connect with the characters at all. I’m thinking its probably the mood I was in so I plan on rereading maybe before the next book to see what happens. I’d recommend reading this book if you like YA Dystopian post apocalyptic stories then this is for you. Im looking forward to seeing what the next book brings.

Despite being such a short book this fourth installment of the Grave Digger Academy series might be my favorite so far! Grave Digger Academy IIII brings in new teachers, new students, and a whole lot of new questions! I absolutely love King’s humor and her use of metaphor. It is so relatable and easily visualized. This book had so many moments that made me stop in my tracks and twists I never saw coming! Such a unique and refreshing series for anyone who likes the supernatural! I for one cannot wait to read Grave Digger Academy five and continue Makayla’s amazing adventure with her helpers and familiars! Such an amazing series I’ve had so much fun reading it so far! Highly recommend it!

I love that you can read them an any order and depending on which one you read first it colors your perspective of who Cal is. Themes OF Kismet: A Multicultural Meet Cute Romance
If only their story had been as easy as I was expecting it to be. Noah meets the girl he wants to marry at 13 years old in a bookstore, and can’t forget her as time passed until they run into one another 5 years later.
Kate’s life was the exact opposite of easy and has some pretty dark times over the years, but the one light was Noah.
I found myself getting frustrated with both of them for various reasons through most or the book and aside from the interactions as children their time in Dubai was probably my favorite interaction.
This was my first experience reading anything by this author and overall enjoyed the book. Looking forward to reading her develope and evolve as an author.

I really enjoyed this story by Susan Specht Oram. She’ll captivate you in just the first few chapters. This mysterious story will have you holding on till the last moments. Karina is trying to help her grandma in her last moments back home only to be pulled into the journal. Fantastic read.

This was a great 5 star read filled with twists and turns. The author pulls you right in with her writing and you won’t want to put it down. We get so much suspense, drama, betrayal and so much more. Lynn wins the lottery, but did she really win? She has a mysterious stalker and an abusive husband. All of the characters added a great element to the story, the husband is a piece of crap and made me angry at times. My emotions were all over the place while I was reading. Of course there are some things that may be triggers for some so beware. I look forward to reading more from this author and series. 1-click and get started today.

This is the first book I have read by this author. I don’t usually read books in the genre of historical romance. I thought that this story sounded interesting so I took a chance and I’m glad I did. Joy hasn’t had the best of luck in her life and she is trying to get out of a bad situation so she decides that being a mail order bride is the lesser of the two evils. Jack finds himself raising his niece and nephew after losing his sister and her husband in an accident. Jack, knowing he needs help, decides to try a mail order bride. Will these two find love? This story has a little bit of danger, romance, holiday elements and great characters. I enjoyed the author’s style of writing. I enjoyed reading this sweet romantic story. I recommend this book.

Per usual, I really enjoy how authors show both sides of the story instead of one character’s perspective. It allows us to see more and get a better understanding of the story as a whole.
Ebun and Noah were clearly meant to be. Like ordinary couples, they have their own issues and some that come to affect each other. I loved seeing how they kept coming together through the years and how their love never seemed to dissipate.
It is a fantastic read that can be gone through in 48 hours, at least… I did haha. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

A sweet holiday second chance romance. Be True with Me was heavy, light, and short. But it was a short story that had a lot to offer. The author connected these characters in an interesting way, and watching them grow was something to behold. Lauren was humiliated by her college sweetheart. Causing her to run, change her name, everything that would hide her true identity while chasing her passion. As a child in the foster care system, Lauren made it her mission to be there for future children and families, to make things better for them than they were for her. But what happens when her very past comes into a collision course with her past? Jake always regretted what happened with Lauren. He looked for her and tried to make it right to no avail. He went into law enforcement to make sure all offenses are held accountable, vs the slap on the wrist that chased Lauren right out of his life. Little did he know that one domestic disturbance call would throw him right back in her path. Working a case that brought them together, will Jake ever tell her the truth? Will they ever reconcile? They are already playing house with 2 children while their mom heals, will they be the key? The author takes the reader on a heavy roller coaster ride while trying to bring light into the situation. Also has the reader rooting for Jake to win Lauren back, the main question being will be. If you like holiday romances and don’t have tons of time, this is the ideal short story to scratch that itch!

This is a very good story overall. The only thing was toward the ending it felt a bit rushed with certain situations that come about that I wish could have more depth. Overall very good story!

But, when he finds out that the new woman in town is actually a witch, he finds his loyalty being tested. There is a pull he feels toward Tanjie…but what will he do when the time comes to fight the witches?
First off, this book ends with a cliffhanger. I will definitely be checking out the next book because I need to know what happens with these two. I found myself invested in Tanjie’s training and I also want to know what her skill is. And, it seems to be a big no-no for a witch and wolf shifter to be together…but could there be something bigger at play here?!? I can’t wait to see.

Dumpster Dying ended up being far different than what I expected. I chose to read it based on the cover art, and it exceeded my expectations. It follows 2 elderly ladies, Birdie and her sister Oda Dean through a series of excitement. Birdie is a hoarder and goes dumpster diving for treasures. The search for a missing girl they knew, uncovered a whole slew of things I didn’t expect. Birdie is a spunky old lady and reminds me of my grandmother. I am glad to see the book is the start of a series because there was a lot left unsaid. I want to know why Walter can’t move on, and the mystery surrounding his death. I also want to see if Birdie can change her ways and let go of her treasures.

I read This Egg Wont Hatch with my 7 year old son, and we both enjoyed it. He struggled with some of the words, but mostly read it himself. We had to google what a Warbler and a Cuckoo were, because he wasn’t familiar with either bird. We thought the cuckoo was really sweet and protective at first. Then we realized he’s mean and doesn’t want to share his food. What he did to timid chick was sad but we were glad it turned out okay. It was a cute little kid book. We are big fans of the author.
Another amazing continuation of the series with book 4! The old and new characters in the story bring to life the Academy. The writing sucks you into the story as if you were there watching and not reading it. I can’t wait to read the next book to continue this bookish adventure!
Back for another year with our main Grave Digger Makayla. This year, there is a new headmistress running the show. The education path for all students has changed from previous years and in a major way. The Crones are watching her closely. And once more, Makayla doesn’t know who she can trust. This year is shaping out to be another difficult road.

Grave Digger Academy 4 by CA King is the fourth in the series of the same name. I have enjoyed this series this far but several times in this book I had the question of “why do I feel like I’ve missed something”? That said, I’m always a fan of the series and I enjoyed getting back to the academy. Following Makayla into her fourth year at the academy, there’s a new headmistress, new rules, more students than there’s ever been and a whole slew of new problems. It’s as if no one can be trusted this year and she’s starting to notice students going missing. This seems as if it’s her hardest year. Twists in the plot and a shorter story than usual but still a quick and great read. I’m excited to see what’s to come for Makayla! I’d recommend this series to those looking for a fast paced, clean, and interesting story!

I was really excited to check out this story as well as the other book in the set. I decided to check this story out first as I wanted to get a better handle on Cal to see what made him tick so I might have a better idea of him in the second book with Annie. Seeing his evolution from a teenager to an adult was definitely eye opening and gave me a good foundation to who he was as a man and how he becomes the man he is. I thought the author did a great job of creating a flawed character that could be frustrating and exasperating in some of his choices, but in the end you still want to see good things for him. I’m excited to check out the second part and see how Cal’s life turns out.
