I have to admit when I first picked up this book I wasn’t quite sure what it was going to be about, I just knew that I was very intrigued by it and fancied reading something a little different. I wasn’t sure if Reverse Harem was something would like as I had never read a book in this trope before. I did actually really enjoy the story and was glad that I took that chance on something different. I thought that the writing was good, the pace and flow of the story perfect and I really liked the characters. It was interesting to read how all the characters interacted with each other and I think the books set up the start of the series really well. There were some good twists in the story and my attention was definitely captured from beginning to end. I am looking forward to reading more from this author in the future.

Touch down written by Alexa Summers was a great read. It was full of funny moments, quick with remarks from Lexi and of course a lot of sexual tension between Lexi and Brett. You wonder which way the story will go on the beginning then you are hooked and you keep anticipating what will happen next but you aren’t prepared. Once you realize what’s finally happened you know who it is and you have to keep reading to see how it plays out. Lexi is a great female lead, she does what she has to do to advance in her career without compromising her morals like others characters in the book. By the end your left wondering if you want another story or if it should be left alone. @krystalgaston

A great read about finding yourself. Molly is a florist struggling to find love. After a fiasco booking at a wedding and its events after with an old work colleague, she decides to focus on herself. As her florist business grows, she decides to lose some weight to find love and rediscovers herself along the way. But will she find love and happiness in the end? A great read. Well developed plot with twists and turns. Well developed characters like Molly going after what she wants despite the criticism of others or Wendy as a caring friend trying to help others. Molly’s struggles with being tired of being alone and her weight and finding love were beautifully written and relatable. I loved the visual detail throughout the novel with the colourful flowers or the interior details of Molly’s house full of details or the wedding scenes full of people and life but also claustrophobic at the same time. The first person narration helped to display Molly’s thoughts and feelings.The only issue I would raise is that the narration broke the fourth wall and felt more like a blog post than a novel If this was addressing the audience was reduced, it would be five stars. Overall, a great read and I would give it four stars.

This is the second book in this series and I enjoyed it from beginning to end. I was pulled right into the story by the creative characters that made me feel part of their journey. Beta is my favorite, she is determined and strong but she also knows that the E’mani won’t soon be forgetting about her. That determination will put her and someone she cares for in danger which leaves her questioning if she will ever be able to leave her past behind? I highly recommend reading this book to find out.

I was not expecting this book to blow me away like it did. I haven’t read anything by Teddy Hester before I definitely will now! This is the 4th book in the series but I was comfortable reading it as a standalone but with that being said and how much I loved it, I will definitely be picking up the prior books to read the other stories.
Jack is a very smart and very successful man. He does whatever he has to do to succeed in his business. He has a deadline to make and he’s willing to move mountains to obtain his goal with this new contract he’s acquired. Then we meet Jillian and the sparks between the two are off the page. Jillian has a point to prove when she accepted the job with Jack and she won’t let a bossy man stand in her way. As the sparks start heating up the page, someone is lurking in the background trying to sabotage Jack’s project.
I loved this story from the very beginning. I loved every aspect of this book and I can’t wait to go back and read the first 3 books in this series.

Extremely well-written. I loved this author collaboration. This emotional rollercoaster was action packed and fast paced. It kept me entranced from the first page to the last. An excellent series and highly recommended. Loved it!
Overall, I enjoyed this book. It is well written, rich in detail, and has a steady pace. The characters are somehow believable even given the storyline and setting. Although a bit heavy in the amount of sex, it was a good book. The author has a unique voice and a clear ability for story telling regardless of where the story takes place.
I enjoyed this story of romance that is an opposites attract situation. I enjoyed how this author’s attention to detail had the story flowing and made me feel as if I was right there with the characters. One is needing a change and the other just don’t have time for dating. What happens when opportunities land in their laps? I enjoyed watching both Rhia and Wyatt’s relationship grow through their challenges. I highly recommend this book.

This is the first book in this series and also my first book by this author. There is a little bit of everything in this book from romance to mystery to drama. What happens when a news reporter catches a player in a wardrobe malfunction? The characters in this book you will either love them or hate them as they are full of drama but also full of love. I will say that Lexi and Brett make an awesome couple and their attraction is strong. I highly recommend their story and find out what happens.

Touchdown: A Steamy Football Romance The Big Apple Series, Book One Alexa Summers 4 out of 5 stars Touchdown is the second sports romance I’ve read and the first title I’ve read by this particular author. I was drawn to the book by the humor and honesty in the synopsis. One of the reasons Lexi became a sports journalist was to get into the men’s locker rooms? How can this book not provide entertainment? Touchdown did meet all of my expectations, while it wasn’t as fast paced as I’m used to it had a little bit of everything to keep my interest. There was the classic element of jealousy that comes with women, especially in a competitive work environment, there was romance, there were steamy encounters, drama, the list goes on. One of the things I most liked about this story was Lexi’s character, she was witty and charismatic which I loved but what’s best is that her success in her field is authentic proving her to be a strong female lead and I truly like that in my romance novels. Touchdown was a fun read that I truly enjoyed, I am looking forward to more from Alexa Summers.

It is a story that hooked me in when I read the first book and now has hooked me in again with the second. I was mesmerized and found myself not wanting to put the book down until I had read the final page. I loved reading about Beta and Marin. Beta is a woman determined to find the E”mani and she has revenge on her mind. She is on a mission and not even Marin can stand in the way of her plans. Even though she knows that her actions could anger Marin she still pushes forward. Marin is a man that is totally in love with Beta. He wants to keep her safe. Beta has done the unexpected and now he refuses to let her throw her life away. Beta is someone who doesn’t like to be told what she can and can’t do. Marin is one that protects the one he loves. Will it take a threat to Marin’s safety to make her realize just how much she needs him? What does Beta remember about her past and what will it mean for her future? Read this book to find out. This is a wonderfully written story that I highly recommend reading. It is part of a series and in order to fully understand what is going on, I would recommend reading the stories in order. Fisher of Men by Phoebe Alexander is not a sweet clean romance church going people. As of matter of fact, there is more to the title which is Eastern Shore Swingers Book 1. So for me it was a little shocking what I was reading but I did like the book. Phoebe Alexander put a lot of time and details in this story. The female character, Leah has been raised in a Christian home. The lifestyle of Cap is interesting as she has never been in a relationship with a “swinger) before. Leah is a strong female character and she is trying to be a “good little Christian girl” but she really wants to try the other lifestyle that Cap will take her into. Will Leah go with Cap or will she keep him at arm’s length as his roles and beliefs are different than his?

While I liked the story it wasn’t a favorite. I will say that the book got much better the further into it I got. The two main characters started out very rough. I really didn’t care much for either of them. Each one had a agenda and it wasn’t on the positive side. But as the story grew so did my appreciation for each of these two. They had more depth to them and I ended up really liking Brett. He really worked toward his dream(s) to accomplish it. He showed honor near the end. I was impressed.
I liked meeting some of the secondary characters. Most of them helped move the story forward but a few were just there to enjoy. Those were the best. They added a nice layer and mostly were feel-good characters.

Then there is a football player out for revenge, an ex who doesn’t like the word “no” and watch the sparks fly both in and out of the bedroom and claws bared to come out fighting. The story Painting Kuwait Violet by Pamela Q. Fernandes is a book that I enjoyed reading. It is a story that draws you in and I found myself not wanting to put it down until I had finished the last page. I enjoyed reading about Violet Baretto. She is a young woman who is beautiful and smart. She has taken a job as a maid and finds out all might not be as it seems at the house in which she works. Violet is someone who works hard and although she has a lot to learn does her best. There are situations happening that are disturbing, and the question arises just who is responsible. Violet is a character that I grew to love with each chapter that I read and she is someone that you want to succeed in all that she does. There is also the character of Sabah Dashti. She carries the burden of the situation regarding previous maids, police inquiries, and also the responsibility of running her business. Sabah soon finds that Violet has a good business sense and a new sort of relationship begins between them. All the while more disturbing events happen at Sabah’s home. Will the one that is responsible be caught? Read this story to find out. I liked how the story provides details on the customs and culture of the people of Kuwait. This book has characters that are intriguing and mysterious. The story is wonderfully written and was a pleasure to read.
Give and Take (The Thorne Brothers #2) by Lee Kilraine Rated 5 stars!
Wow this book has it all! Great characters, amazing lines and it makes me laugh. Those are all things I look for in a great book. I love characters that get me involved with their stories. I care about them can’t wait to get back to hanging out with them again. Most times I wish I could live with them. This story is full…I mean full of amazing lines. They are witty, give insight and make a person think. My favorite one is
“He sort of thinks I’m great, no matter what I do”.
Ok that right there is what everyone wants. But his comeback line just seals the deal!
“I think you are amazing”
This book had me cracking up and laughing. There is nothing that gives me more joy than reading a book that can make me laugh. When I am around other people they want to know what I’m reading that is so funny. The brothers in here….man they have overcome a lot and they have such a great camaraderie with each other. I just want to hang with them. Oh Wait! I want to be their receptionist! ( inside joke….ha ha…read the book)
Each of these characters were very enjoyable. The brothers with their banter. The sisters with their snark. It’s hard to pick a favorite. I think Wyatt grew the most but that wouldn’t have been possible without Rhia being so irritating to him. While reading I kept getting the impression this is not the first in the series. At the back it shows book 1 (Give it Up) so now I have something to occupy my time while I wait for the next book.
The best thing is I know their story isn’t done. I love catching back up with beloved characters in future books. This is easily a favorite book for me and I will be keeping an eye on this author.

The story Give and Take (The Thorne Brothers) by Lee Kilraine is an amazing book that I loved reading. It hooked me in from the very beginning and I didn’t want to put it down until I had read the final page. It is a story that is humorous at times and also romantic as well. I loved reading about the characters of Wyatt Thorne and Rhia Hollis. Wyatt is a man that likes order. He is focused on his goals in life and doesn’t have the time for a social life. He is not one looking to commit to anyone. Then he meets Rhia. Rhia Hollis has always felt like an outsider in her own family. She is outgoing and has a wonderful personality and character. She is determined to make her new business a success. With the Thornes’ offer of a free command center, she has found herself right in the path of Wyatt. These two seem to be as different as night and day. There, however, is a spark between them and they are constantly distracted by each other. Will opposites attract? There is electricity in the air when these two are together and a connection being formed between them. Will they find that they are meant for each other? Will their attraction/feelings for each other lead to something more between them? Read this book to find out. I loved how Wyatt and Rhia interact and banter back and forth. These two have a chemistry together that is off the charts. There is dirty talking and steamy scenes included in this story. I also enjoyed reading about the other characters you are introduced to in the book. I loved how family is important to Wyatt and how the bonds between him and his brothers is a strong one. This is a wonderfully written story and one that I would highly recommend reading.

Four Stars
This story was very interesting. I liked the combination of different races. Beta has met many of them but it isn’t really explained what that purpose was for. I don’t like love triangles they always end with someone feeling hurt. I did enjoy how the author shaped the male characters. Though Marin is a pure Alpha he shows such compassion and love for beta. Finn is super sweet and understanding he doesn’t stress her out or push her to pick one of them. I would recommend that you read the first book. Beta is very strong character and knows that the destroyers of earth will be coming back for her. Can’t Forget by Colleen S. Myers was a fast pace, epic science fiction fantasy drama, that has me hooked just as must as the first book.
The second book in the Solum Series, is a continuations series so I highly suggest you read the first book, as it will give you much needed backstory and get a better understanding of Bata and Marin. I very much enjoyed reading about Bata and Marin, it fit better in this book and actually added something good to the plot and at times drove it forward.
What I will say, and something I find irritating with female MC’s/the hero; was that she fell into the whole,I can do it myself trope. She didn’t listen to reason and, it bit her hard in the behind. But it’s like TV, no matter what I mutter into the book she’s an’t going to listen. I do get it, I do, it moves the story forwards, crates drama, and a deadly situation. I just didn’t like the whole “You can’t tell me what to do!” trope. No one likes to be told what they can and can’t do. But sometimes, closing your mouth and processing why a person is asking you not to do something dangerous, could save your life. I’m in the military, so I know this, teach this and stress this, to my young subordinates that have the same attitudes.
Outside of that, like the first book, we are still getting pieces of Bata’s past, this drives not only the plot but the reader. The authors does this through flashbacks, and they’re pretty intense. There is bit of a plot bomb towards the end, and you are going to have your mouths opened. I’m not going to say, cause I don’t want to ruin a thing about this original read. Not only is the writing smooth and easy to follow but the raw emotions that it’s lace with, will pull at your hearts string, snapping them, making you feel for Bata, and for the hell that she went through.
Overall this book, this series is a must read. I give this book my super high recommendation and my stamp of approval. It’s truly something special and I can’t wait to get my hands on the next book.

This was my first time reading anything from Maria Watts. I was drawn into the idea of this surrounding a band and its teenage fans in the 90’s because, well the 90’s rocked, and I grew up in the prime of the 90’s, at least most of my middle school and younger high school years were the later 90’s. I figured I would be able to relate to the main character quite a bit along the way. I was for the most part, in first half of the book, correct. Then I was so wrong.
The concept here was good. It was well developed. We all as young girls, no matter the decade, had boyband posters plastered on our walls. We often dreamed of a chance encounter where we could run off with said dream boy and live out this fantasy. We also knew that the chance of this were highly unlikely. HIGHLY. This was a bit farfetched for me. Even for a novel. I get that sometimes miracles and freak things happen, but this was a stretch, a big stretch. I wrote that off as some creative writing though. Knocked it down to a four-star in my head right around there and kept going. I didn’t really hit me to a point where I couldn’t keep reading.
Then, we get to this part where our MC, Nina goes on tour with her dream boy, Chris. Nina is sixteen. Maybe it is because now I am a mother, but no way in hades am I letting my sixteen year old go on tour just like that. Most certainly not with an eighteen year old, who is hormonal and has the whole world in his hands and at his disposal. Nope. It was just all so farfetched that I could not get into the story. I wanted to, but I couldn’t no matter how hard I tried. I would like to see a rewrite with some more of a moral to the story. Maybe it was something I missed because I was hung up on the, this is impossible, and I need to reread it. Not something that I have ruled out by any means, but something to consider.

This is my first introduction to this author and I was very pleased with the story that unfolded within these pages. The story is rich in detail. The main character is relatable and takes the reader with her as she makes life changes. This emotional tale is one that I couldn’t put down. I was riveted from beginning to end and know I will need to go back and read it again to thoroughly appreciate the story. Loved it.
This book from Lee Kilraine was enthralling from the first page. This romance was just the right mix of humor and emotion. This story centered around Wyatt and Rhia. The characters were extremely well written and the plot moved steadily. I continue to thoroughly enjoy the author’s writing style. This is a fantastic book, one I will recommend gladly to others.

This is my first book by this author and i think it was a good place to start. The boss man is a suspenseful romance in the Manly series and is the fourth book. The two main characters are Jack DePaul and Jillian Vickers. Jack owns a construction company that has a fast approaching deadline. Jack and Jillian meet at a party and the chemistry between the two of them is instant and on fire. Someone is trying to keep Jack from meeting his deadline and that cannot happen. Will he be able to finish it on time? Will he and Jillian be able to be together? I enjoyed the interactions and banter between those two and i was eager to get to the end of the book. I would recommend this book to a friend.

5 Star The Boss Man : A Contemporary Romantic Suspense Novel ( The Manly Series book 4) By Teddy Hester is the first book I’ve read by this author but I’m definitely going back and reading the first three books in this series as well. This can be read as a standalone. I was instantly hooked from the beginning and had a hard time putting it down once I started reading. This is Jack and Jillian’s story. These two have some serious chemistry between them and the way they banter between themselves had me cracking up. Jack is determined to keep his company going and prove he can. She’s a very determined to also prove she can do it. Can Jack meet his deadline on time?Can Jillian and Jack have a relationship?Find out the answers to these questions and more I highly recommend this book. I look forward to reading more from this author.

The Boss Man is book 4 in the Manly Series by Teddy Hester, but it is the first and only I have read so far. Upon completing this book, I went back to read descriptions of the other 3, but they don’t seem to overlap (though I wont know for sure until I read them). They appear to be stand alone books, and I can vouch, The Boss Man can be enjoyed on its own. The two main characters have a lot in common, and I think that is what makes their growing relationship so much fun to read. Both Jack and Jillian come from a large family, and have made it their mission to prove they can be successful on their own. Jack owns his own construction business that sweeps in to help other companies meet their deadlines. He runs a tight ship, but his employees respect him. Jillian’s family has their hands in several pots, but she has taken on this year’s grapefruit harvest, on top of trying to be a journalist. When her piece lands her working as Jack’s assistant, they both find themselves distracted, in the best way possible.

Give and Take (The Thorne Brothers) by Lee Kilraine
Five Stars
It’s crazy how complete opposites attract but then you start to notice similarities. Rhia is like most people. We suffer from doubt and other insecurities. Wyatt felt like he had to repay his brothers for doing what they knew was right protecting their brother. The bond between the brothers is amazing and I related to the because I also have a lot of siblings. I felt that nth Rhia and Wyatt were a little clumsy. Both having their own issues and family drama. This story was very interesting because the author put the characters in a situation that helped them overcome situations. The characters helped each other and the growth between chapters is noticeable. This story is a quick read that will give you hope that even though life starts out crappy there is always a light at the end. That if you can have someone in your corner you can accomplish anything. Give and Take is the second book in the Thorne Brothers Series by Lee Kilraine. I have loved Ms. Kilraine’s Cates Brothers series, so when I saw this pop up in my feed I knew I had to read it too. Even though this is the second book in the series, it can be read as a standalone without missing part of the storyline. Although it has definitely quirked my curiosity about the other characters, so I will absolutely be going back to get books #1 and #3 too, so I can catch up with this series. I really enjoyed this sexy, well written and erotic, contemporary romance. It had a really great pace and was so quick and easy to read. I zipped through it in an afternoon. I have found that Ms. Kilraine has a talent for writing complex, quirky and endearing characters. She is a great storyteller who easily pulls her reader into the story.
Wyatt Thorne is the strong silent type, which is understandable considering his traumatic childhood and the fact that he didn’t speak for the first six years of his life. But he has his brothers, and together they have formed Six Brothers Construction. Wyatt puts his architectural skills to good use in the brother’s venture. He’s organised, and a bit of a control freak- so when his brother offers some of their office space to a struggling business he’s got no choice but to come to terms with the perky, free-spirited and quirky woman who comes with the arrangement- and she is set to drive him crazy- but will it be in bad, or good way?
Rhia Hollis has a lot to prove, not just to herself, but to her overachieving family. She has a reputation as a party girl, so she’s determined to make a success of her Event Planning Business. The new office space is just the boost she needs. But working in an environment with Wyatt will test perky attitude, because he seems to be quite resistant to her being there. These two are complete opposites, but we all know what they say about opposites attracting. What ensues makes for some great reading! The ending was great, and Ms. Kilraine wrapped everything up brilliantly. I am looking forward to reading the other books in this series.

The Boss Man is the fourth book in the Manly series by Teddy Hester. I have to be honest here and say that although this book was a little slow to get going, I really did love what came once the pace picked up. So, I felt that it still deserved a 5 star rating, despite the fact that it didn’t immediately grab me. The author has woven a wonderful storyline with interesting and loveable characters, intrigue, some drama, mystery, suspense, spice, humour, and romance. Jack DePaul is the construction world’s latest boy wonder. At 27, he’s building a highly successful business with his innovative ideas. This latest project brings him to Texas, where his skills will be put to the test in every way possible. There is a lot riding on the outcome of this job- and it has the power to make or break him. He has a critical deadline to meet, so the last thing he needs are any distractions. But, distraction is what he gets, in the form of a beautiful, headstrong Texan who’s about to give him a run for his money. Will she end up costing him the project, as well as his heart? Jillian Vickers has a business degree, manages her family’s organic citrus farm, as well as running a popular blog. Her latest article is an in-depth look at the new green energy project that is in the pipeline. She’s determined to get as much information as she can to put into the blogpost. But interviewing the new trouble-shooter goes a bit awry and she ends up agreeing to work for him in exchange for the opportunity to interview his team members. She’s attracted to him from the beginning, but he’s only there for the short term, so anything that starts will have a use-by-date. Can she put her heart on the line for a short fling? What happens when things go missing from the site and sabotage seems to be the order of the day? With so much at risk, what will the future hold? This was such a fun read. The banter, quips and antics had me smiling and laughing out loud. He story is told from a duel perspective, so we really get a great feel for both the lead characters. The chemistry between these two was fantastic, there are some sexy, sizzling moments that singed my kindle. I would definitely recommend this book to all lovers of romance!
