Another great mystery. You can read this book as a standalone but it is my suggestion that you start with book one for a better experience and back story of the characters. This book is full of action, suspense, mystery, and of course danger. Karina seems to find trouble and danger around every corner. There are unexpected twists and turns in this story. Karina and Mike aren’t exactly seeing eye to eye these days, so when Karina finds herself in a bind, will she call Mike? Will she be able to get herself and her sister out of danger? To find this out this is a must read. This book will keep you entertained throughout the entire time. I highly recommend this book.

Found in the Lost (Special Forces: Operation Alpha)(The Leonidas Corporation Book 1) by Tarina Deaton was an exciting, action packed, romantic read. I was hooked from the beginning. The author immediately pulls readers in with the suspicious man at the airport followed shortly after with an attempted attack by bandits. This book was fast paced and easy to read. There was not one dull moment with this adventure. It also included some steamy scenes between main characters Shane and Kinley. Speaking of which, they were developed well and excellent to follow. I loved watching the romance between them build. Also Ace and Phantom were great supporting characters to the story. They were definitely just as attractive and mouth watering as Shane. I really enjoyed this novel and I highly recommend it.

Virtue & Vice is the second book in the Spicetopia series by Phoebe Alexander. This is one story that erotic romance lovers definitely won’t want to miss. I though the first book was sexy- but this one turns the heat up even more- but still with the wonderful depth and substance Ms. Alexander is known for. This story picks up from book one- so I would definitely recommend reading the first book, Sugar & Spice, before jumping into this one. Cy and Jolie, from book one, play an important part here- but it is Moon and Katja’s perspectives that really drive this story. Cy’s idea about an ‘adult theme park’ brings these four together, in more ways than one. Plans come together, and their ideas are flowing. They will all need to work together to bring their dreams to life. Add plenty of spice, turn up the heat, sprinkle some emotion, and blend a great storyline into the mix- and we have the recipe for a captivating read. The story has a few surprises thrown in to keep our interest heightened. As well as having a lot of erotic moments throughout the book- with swinging/ménage, light BDSM, and plenty of ‘adult fun’ to be had- so don’t say I didn’t warn you. A fantastic story, with great characters- makes this a superb addition to the Spicetopia series! Bring on book 3!

Absolutely loved Run from Love by Teddy Cat Hester. It’s one of those stories that once you dive into it everything else fades away into the background and your real life is put on the back burner. All I wanted to do was read this book until it was finished!
Scarlet has a very strict 6 month rule when it comes to relationships. She is not one that wants to form any sort of attachments in a relationship so at the 6 month mark she ends it. Nick has his sights on outlasting her 6 month rule and he has to work around it so it doesn’t send her running for the hills.
This was such a cute and sweet story. Definitely a one-click and I cannot wait to read more from this author!

Hope by Seelie Kay is the fourth book in the Feisty Lawyers series. I do think it is worth reading the other books first as you will get the most out of this book if you do. This author has created yet another amazing read. You are sucked right into Hope’s journey. By the end of the first chapter you are so engrossed by what is happening that there is no chance you will want to put the book down. The way this story is developed had me on the edge of my seat. I just had to find out how it was going to end and what would eventually become of Hope. This series is absolutely brilliant and if you haven’t read it then I would recommend you doing so immediately.

Run From Love is the 2nd book in the Bowser Belles Sweet Contemporary Romance series by Teddy Cat Hester. Each book can be read as a stand-alone, although characters are recurring through the series. I was unaware that this was the 2nd book in a series when I read it and certainly did not feel that I was missing out on any important information. Scarlett Peacock has very strict rules in her dating: 6 months maximum and no meeting of any family or colleagues. She’s approaching the 6 month deadline with Nick Schafer and Nick is determined to break her rules. I have to say that I loved both Scarlett and Nick, although I did want to shake some sense into Scarlett on several occasions. Nick is a sweetheart single dad to the adorable Noah. I’m such a sucker for a single dad with a cute kid. I loved the interactions with Noah, making sure he felt included. Added to the cute kids are some awesome fur babies who add so much to the story. I could not put this book down. I binge read the whole book over a few hours. I loved the characters and the storyline and just lost myself in this heart-warming, sweet romance. I would definitely recommend this book.

Virtue and Vice by Phoebe Alexander a five-star read that will bring the fun. This is number two in the Spicetopia series and I would whole heartedly recommend reading them in order as they do tell a great story. From he first page you are pulled into this story, pulled in deep, pulled into the spice and steam. Getting to know Moon and Katya better, really did make the story more rounded and just made me care so much about everything. This author always manages to pull it out of the bag, they have a way of describing the world they create and making you visualise it as if you were there, but this time you could feel the steam flushing on your skin it was that good.

I loved the first half of the story. It moves along and has enough excitement to keep me glued to the pages. That Hope! She is Wonder Woman! When the action started in the second half of the book I was again hooked. What these people go through is crazy! I enjoyed this book and this series. It seems it might start a new direction after this one. We shall see!
It is great to see some of the characters we have come to love in previous stories. I look forward to more.

As a parent and now a grandparent, I read this through the first time by myself and I totally get the message being portrayed in this book and I appreciate the ideas given to help a child through these trying times. I then gave the book to my 9 year old grandson, my 10 year old grandson and my 9 year old granddaughter. They had a bit of trouble reading it and tripped over many words losing the meaning along the way. I can not imagine trying to read this to a 3 – 5 year old and them getting anything out of it besides liking the pictures.
The message was clear and using the tools that were included in the story are great and the parent can figure out how to implement them to make the child understand. As a children’s book the pictures were awesome but the story got a bit lost even with the older ones.
Great book for the adult who needs new ways to handle these situations.
A great read about dreams. Katya and Moon are on holiday in Greece when they meet Cyrus and Jolie. Whilst there, they come up with the idea of an adult theme park called Spicetopia filled with everything you could want. They part ways and return to normal life, thinking it will never happen. But Cyrus Sweet seems determined to make it all come true. Can dreams ever become a reality? A great read. Well developed plot with twists and turns. Well developed characters like Katya cautious but loving underneath or Moon as more exuberant but worried underneath. I loved the visual detail throughout the novel like with the islands with the blue waters and white sand and green palm trees as beautiful and sernee and so vibrsnt and vivid it’s as if you’re actually there. Or with the Starlight Cay on the island shaped like a star for the sense of homely but exotic. I also liked the contrast with the colourful island and the boring drab offices as conflicting worlds wonderfully written. The switch of perspectives worked well to display both sides of the story and was easy to follow with names in chapter titles. I also liked the idea of the sequel shifting point of view form the original by focusing on other characters which was a great idea. Overall, a great read and I would give it five stars.

Hang On To Your Shirt Tails (Chasing Tails Book 2) by C.A. King is a paranormal story that had me glued to the seat and devouring it in one sitting. The story is easy and an extremely quick read. I really enjoy CA’s stories and this one is no different. I love the main characters and what they are trying to do.
Tails and Brodie who are hiding to keep themselves and the children safe by living in isolation. They have to give up all they have built to keep one safe from coming into his power and another that causes a chase that leads to the enemy, which may also lead them to a haven.

This collection of four novellas is a quick read for romance lovers. I wasn’t sure what to expect other than something a bit unexpected. The situations were unique and the characters were intriguing. I found this author to have an interesting voice for the characters presented, one that kept my attention from beginning to end. Definitely not a dull read!

OMG Charlotte has been through quite a lot since we first met her back in book one. This series has taken me on quite the journey, and have all led to this point. I have loved each book, but I definitely think Ms. Holloway has left the best till last. From the Ashes is the third, and final book in the Ashes to Ashes series by Rowena Holloway. It is an intense psychological thriller that will tie you up in knots with the tightly woven and twisty plot. I was on the edge of my seat for most of the story- scrambling to read as quickly as I could so I could unravel the mystery, and put all the pieces together, before the final reveal. But, I had so many scenarios running through my head- Ms. Holloway twisted and turned the plot so well that I was left guessing right till the end. I loved the gripping suspense, psychological ploys, clever mystery, dramatic developments, heightened tension, and intense danger which Ms. Holloway managed to imbue her story with. She definitely knows how to weave a great tale, and keep her readers glued to the pages. I was both excited, and a little sad to get my hands on this book- as I really wanted to continue Charlotte’s journey, but at the same time I knew that this would be the concluding chapter. So, it has been a bit of a bittersweet experience. Charlotte Ashe is the main character , whom we have met in the previous book/s- and she enters this story having her life turned upside down. She’s been through so much- at the cost of her career, reputation, credibility, friendships, and even to a degree, her self-respect. She has one ‘play’ left- and she throws herself into it headfirst. Her continuing obsession with Tyrone Gardner leads her to Blaxon Hall, a private ‘clinic’, where her journalistic senses recognise the threads of a story. She needs this story to pan out, because she’s got a lot riding on the outcome. Charlotte uncovers some mystery surrounding the recent deaths at the hall- and this is where the story really ramps up in intensity and interest. Charlotte couldn’t possibly predict the ensuing events- placing herself in incredible danger along the way. What will she sacrifice in order to get to the bottom of this investigation? Because when a fire breaks out at the hall, Charlotte is one of the missing people, What happened, you ask? Well, I don’t want to spoil it for you- so I really recommend grabbing yourself a copy of this fantastic thriller, and discover all the gripping developments for yourself. WOW… this story is definitely a clever, edge of your seat read- and as I expected, is another great story from Rowena Holloway. I really can’t wait to see what she does next!

Supernatural Love Stories in the Absurd: Four Book Collection by D.P. Payne was certainly some unique little tales. Very easy to read, and each one a very different story. Romance and really weird happenings is the common thread here. My favorites were Spirited and Loched. In Spirited the enchanting Margot has been haunting her last place of employment for more than a hundred years. When Blake buys the house to renovate it, he gets a lot more than he bargained for. There is some sexual situations that some may find offensive, but all these little stories are quite unique with new little twists on some old legends.

I enjoyed these four stories. They are a collection of supernatural stories that have some steam and adventure. There is something for everyone in this set. They will pull you in right from the beginning and keep you engaged until the end. Each one is different but they are about finding love. With Halloween right around the corner, this will make for a great read to get you in the spirit. Cursed and Spirited are two of my favorites. Great, strong characters. I highly recommend this book.

Supernatural Love Stories in the Absurd: Four Book Collection by Gwyn McNamee writing as D.P. Payne was an excellent collection of various types of romantic supernatural love stories. These different stories were addictive and I was hooked at the start of each one. Each one had magnificent characters and fun settings. The author’s creativity really shines through with these stories.
My favorite story was the one titled Loched. It features the Lochness monster and had amazing scenery. The characters Bryce, Ainsley, and Ewan were wonderful. It definitely featured a whirlwind Romance tied into an event from long ago that brought on a curse.
I absolutely loved this group of books. I feel it would appeal to a varied audience. I highly recommend it!

Stalking the Stalker (Valley View Mysteries Book 2) by Laura Hawks is engaging and mysterious. The story is well written and nicely paced. There are a lot of characters and any one of them could have done it. It is a whodunnit detective story with lots of lies and deceit, secrets and drama, stalker and murder. One woman’s crazy and lies that could be true and one murderer that you didn’t see coming.
If you want something to read that will keep you glued to the pages, then give this story a read.

Hope (Feisty Lawyers Series Book 4) by Seelie Kay was an excellent action packed romance. There is so much wrapped up in this short book that it was hard to put down. It can easily be read in one setting. Although the story has a strong focus on Hope, there are a lot of things in the previous books of the series that lead up to a lot of detail with this story. Hope has grown up a lot since she was originally intr6and is training for special ops herself. Someone from her long ago past surfaces and a lot of crazy things happen. I loved how strong willed she was and determined her character was. It was definitely a fun read following Hope and I believe this is my new favorite book in this series. I highly recommend it!

Supernatural Love Stories in the Absurd: Four Book Collection by Gwyn McNamee writing as D.P. Payne was a completely unexpected read. I would definitely give this series a four out of five stars. There are four different stories in this book and each one less expected than than the last. The consistency in the tone and steam factor definitely keep you turning pages. The tone comes off as redemption and the plot centers on learning and growing. The steam factor is off the scale, if you are looking for a hot read here they are!

Supernatural Love Stories in the Absurd: Four Book Collection by Gwyn McNamee writing as D.P. Payne My rating 4 out of 4 stars I completely enjoyed this set of stories! Supernatural books are one one of my favorite genres and this did not disappoint. I am thoroughly intrigued by the use of less common supernaturals such as the wending and a pharaoh, but surprised and pleased with how they worked into the story nicely. Cursed, the story of pharaoh Wyre was probably my favorite because I am always interested in ancient Egypt and mummies. I also really enjoyed Loched, because who would have thought the Lochness monster could turn into a hunky man? All four stories are equally as nice, all are very sexy and have a wonderful story behind each curse or legend. I would highly recommend this for any supernatural romance lover. Very nicely done!

Tails and Brodie are now living peacefully in the middle of nowhere, away from everyone to keep their adopted children safe. They are happy, but they know this peacefulness cannot last forever. When issues and discontent arise with their children, they are put back into the path of danger. Their goal is to keep their children safe — at all costs. They will do whatever it takes, but little do they know just how dire the situation is. With some help from unexpected places, can they escape? What is the price they have to pay?
I really enjoyed book one and was interested to see where this book would go. It went in a different direction than I was expecting, focusing more on a couple of the children than just Tails and Brodie. I liked this idea, it showed me things from a different perspective. Of course, the parents still play major roles too, so you don’t feel like it is a completely new series. I like the growth shown in the characters, especially the one child (I don’t want to give anything away, so I am withholding names). The story itself has action almost from the beginning so you are pulled in right away and kept in suspense until the end of the book.
Not a very long book, it shouldn’t take you long to read it. There is so many possibilities with future books, I anxiously await the next one. If you are a fan of urban fantasy, I highly recommend this book and series.

This collection of stories is a good way to pass a couple of hours. The first three felt more like short stories, but the last one is a bit longer. I like the use of a wendigo as a character because you don’t see that very often. The spin on the mummy’s curse is a bit different as well.
The title is apt, because you will have to suspend belief for some of it, lol. But, since I read it during Halloween season, it seems right in the spirit of things. Also know that there are plenty of steamy scenes. ? The only thing I had a difficult time with was the collection that Chastity had. The bottles…Gag! That does not belong in the refrigerator beside the food. LOL!
Overall, I’d say this collection is a fun little reading jaunt to spice up your Halloween…or any day, really.

From the Ashes by Rowena Holloway is the third book in the Ashes to Ashes series. This book was a great addition to the series. It was engaging and so interesting. All the way through I was desperate to know what was going to happen. This author really knows how to create a lasting story and one that will see you through a series. If you haven’t read anything by her then I recommend you trying this book immediately!

Rowena Holloway has quickly become an author I can’t get enough of. I have been devouring her books a lot lately and the latest for me, From The Ashes, has to be one of my top favorites of hers. Holloway knows how to write some psychological and twisty suspense. I often feel as if my emotions are put through the ringer each time I embark on a journey with her books. I was on edge from the very beginning until that last bittersweet chapter. I can’t say enough good about the world building and attention to detail that is ever present in all of Rowena Holloway’s novels.
From The Ashes is book three of the Ashes to Ashes series, but they can be read as stand alone novels. I highly recommend that you read them all anyways! We get the story of Charlotte and she has a trippy road to take in this novel. Charlotte is a journalist seeking the truth about some questionable deaths at the Hall. As she starts to find things out and the closer she gets to the truth the crazier things seem. Just as they build to a head a fire leaves Charlotte among a group of missing people. I can assure you this one will have you reading just one more page, or till I figure this out, well past your bedtime! I know I was up well into the night because I just had to know what would come next. I can’t wait to see what will come next from the ever talented Rowena Holloway!

5 Star Diamonds & Deception (Karina Cardinal Mystery Book 3) by Ellen Butler
Diamonds & Deception is the third book in the Karina Cardinal Mystery Series and even though it can be read as a standalone I do recommend reading this series in order, so you will have a better understanding of the characters . I loved this book, it’s filled with action, drama, danger and suspense. I once again found myself lost in the pages and couldn’t stop reading till the end. What will happen when Karina and her sister Jilly team up to help find out who set up a friend? Karina is forced to call Mike after they have dug to deep. Find out what happens next in this absolute must read I look forward to reading more from this Author.

I really just couldn’t get Into this. I liked the beginning. It was snappy and easily drew me into the story. After that, things seemed to fall apart and i just couldn’t care about the characters or the story. Well I was Inretested in the murder but it seemed to veer away and too much other stuff became important. History of the town..I understand why they needed to tell about it. It got better closer to the end but I really struggled With this as a whole. I’m not sure what is wrong but I seemed to get bored and was easily distracted while reading. Just not for me.

Hang On to Your Shirt Tails is the second book in the Chasing Tails Series by C.A. King. This is a fantastic paranormal fantasy- with adventure, action, danger, shifters, good vs evil, romance, family, loyalty, determination, survival, hidden agendas, drama, and mystery. It is a very well written, intriguing, and engaging story- as I have come to expect from Ms. King. The characters are quite complex, fully developed individuals with their own unique personalities, quirks and flaws- and written so well that they were entirely realistic and believable. I really recommend reading Book One before beginning ‘Hang On to Your Shirt Tails’- as this story continues from the first book, and a lot of world building, character introductions, backstory, and other important information is contained there- which I think you should know to fully understand and appreciate this story. This is a short story with a fast pace- which makes it a quick and easy read. I was drawn into the story right from the start- and was fully invested in the characters and the outcome of their story. After the events in book one, Brodie and Tails found themselves with an insta-family, and so retreated to an isolated area, for the safety if afforded them. It has been a steep learning curve for all of them- and being so isolated has created issues of its own. Soon their safety is threatened, and they are forced to flee. But as we discovered in book one, shifters aren’t given a warm welcome in this world. They are going to have to become quite strategic and form some alliances if they are to survive the days ahead. But who can they really trust? Such a great read, and I can’t wait for book three to continue the adventure!
