This is an author that I never hesitate to pick up and have read every one of her books. One of my favorite things about this author is her ability to bring the story to life on every page. Her writing skills and attention to details not only give her stories a realistic feel but she makes her characters pop. This book is no different. It is the sixth book in this series which I highly suggest reading all the previous books as they are that awesome. I loved being pulled into the story from the beginning as well as kept engaged to the end. This is a fast paced story that is full of action and romance. The characters are strong and connectable. They give life to the story. In this book we get to see Nick’s story and he is determined to break Allie’s walls down. But the big question remains, will he pick up those pieces? I loved their growth throughout the story. Their chemistry is hot and steamy and you don’t want to miss them. This is truly a great story that I loved and I can’t wait to see what is next for this author. I highly recommend this book and this author.

Cinderella is so well known and some variations of this story can be dry and boring. But look no further than Morrows book for a refreshing retelling. It was a nice surprise with a lovely storyline that is sure to keep one intrigued until the end! The story while based on Cinderella has a nice original feel.

I loved this story! Mila and Elias are so cute together! This was such a unique twist on a shifters tale. I really enjoyed it. It had just enough fire of the heart and true danger to keep you sucked into the story. I really liked Mila’s character and just that she followed her calling no matter the cost. Elias makes you just melt with his words and just all together sexiness!! You won’t regret reading this!! I can’t wait to read more of the series!

The Girl and the Demon: YA Paranormal Romance by Pauline Gruber is the third book in the Girl and the Raven series. I would definitely recommend reading this series in order as it follows the same main characters and would enhance your enjoyment of the series. As soon as I started reading this book I was yet again pulled into the story. I thought it was entertaining well written. I instantly connect with the main character every time I pick up one of these books. There is something about her that is so engaging and relatable, even though she is much younger than my age range. The author has created a character that is interesting and really can appeal to all. The story was great to read as well. It was exciting and felt as fresh as the first book did. This is a really strong series that I thoroughly enjoy and seems to get better with each book. I am looking forward to seeing what else this author can produce.

Stranded (Cetacea Chronicles Book 1) by Feather Chelle was a very intriguing read. I originally picked up this book because the cover is absolutely beautiful and I love all things to do with the ocean. It was great to see such beautiful creators depicted in a fantasy book that is also full of details, and lots of information to not only keep children interested but they also learn a lot of things while reading. I absolutely loved the details and descriptions of the whales and the dolphins, it really brought the creatures to life in my mind. The appendix with all of its information and the pictures were really a nice touch and my daughter loved looking at it with me.
Entwined: A Cinderella Retelling by A.L. Morrow was a fantastic well-written book. This is an adult book. I enjoyed the retelling in an “adult” way. It was a quick, fast-paced read for me. I quickly devoured it. Not my usual genre but I loved every second of it. I love venturing outside of my usual readings to explore new things. Entwined definitely didn’t disappoint, and I believe a lot of people will enjoy it. This is my first book by this author, and I can’t wait to read more! Can’t wait to read book 2 in this series!

The Bow is the 3rd book in her three immortals and this is a series that should absolutely be read in order, as each book leads into the next. I have enjoyed all three book and the author just makes me want to read more of her work. The author does a great job of pulling you in with her writing, you won’t want to put it down.
Vanessa has won the heart of God of the Underworld. But has won the wrath of the queen of the underworld. Now she has been assigned a task by the Queen of the Underworld- with her very soul at stake if she fails. The assignment sounds simple- but things definitely do not go according to plan- and Vanessa finds herself a prisoner in the Upperworld. Vanessa Maan, Grey, Raef and Aroz are back in this story of one woman and her immortals where she is rudely awakened by being pulled out of bed, away from Grey and straight into a place which smells of brimstone. When she has realised just where she has been whisked to, she also realises that she is butt naked, thankfully her modestly is covered thanks to a comforting presence and she needs all the comfort possible when she comes face to face to the Queen of the Underworld in her throne room and surrounded by guards with scythes. It is here that Vanessa is given a mission and 24 hours to complete it, she is being sent back up the Overworld where she is tasked to retrieve a sample of water from a Waterfall Of Youth at the top of the tower block belonging to Raef, so away she goes, propelled upward in the lift with words of warning of what is awaiting her if she fails.

I can’t help but absolutely fall for this genre. I love the idea of fighting the odds to hopefully be with the one that you love. Rain and Hunter have both had their ups and downs, which make them the people that they are today. They are doing their very best to live their best lives in a world that has come to be a place you aren’t safe and are watching your back every step of the way. The UNR are the bad guys, wanting to regulate the lives of everyone, and have no intentions backing down, rather, are gearing up their antics. Their leader, Alan, is an unforgiving, abusive wannabe alpha male that wants all those in the UNR districts to see him as the end all and be all, regardless of what it takes. Hunter is the head fighter of the Resistance, also known as the good guys, and wants to bring down the UNR, no matter what it takes. The boys of the Resistance aren’t known for their wanton for love, family, or anything else besides taking down the enemy. Time will tell if this will be the case moving forward, dig in!
Overall, this book was a fantastic read. I’m a huge fan of the dystopian setting, and quite enjoyed the love story that followed Rain and Hunter, and a teaser of who is to follow in the next installment. I did find it a little predictable at times and found that the flashbacks caused me some confusion. I would recommend this book to others that are a fan of this genre, as it was quite the enjoyable way to pass the time! Thank you, Brittany Anne, looking forward to reading more!

I just finished Wrong for Him by Christi Barth, book 3 in the Love Lottery Series. I unfortunately did not read the prior books in this series so in the beginning chapters I was playing catch up with some of the characters so did read reviews and summaries of the prior two books to help me figure out certain people. I recommend starting at book 1, unlike what I did! I was into the story so I continued on and wasn’t too behind on the character developments.
I did enjoy this book but I wanted to yell at Amelia’s brother, Alex, way too often. He seems arrogant and over the top protective of his adult sister, who has fallen in love with Alex’s best friend, Teague. Everyone else around the pair could see the dynamic and complete compatibility of this couple but they were forced to keep their relationship a secret because they were both intimidated by what Alex would say and do. As an adult, I feel they are both entitled to their feelings without any say from other parties. But this was the only character I just did not enjoy, personality wise. The book was sweet and showed how friendships form into better family than your blood relatives. The main characters had good storylines that kept me interested in their development. Definitely would recommend!

Notebook Mysteries was added to my collection of Historical Mysteries! The detail in this book really added to the suspense of the cases, not to mention the way all the cases really feed into the plot of the book as well and don’t even get me started on the recipes! Oh, my goodness I am so excited about those. It really gave me a cool way to connect with the book in a way I had not imagined! Emma is easily one of my favorite characters, I love how she handles her cases, her personality, the way she is not afraid to challenge others when it comes to a “woman’s place”. This was the first one I have gotten the chance to read but I will be checking out her book before this one to see more on these characters I have already come to love. All in all I would highly recommend this to anyone who likes the Historical mysteries YA Genre!
This is the second book in this series from this author. I hadn’t read the first book in the series so I was concerned that I would be missing out on important information. I found that I was able to pick up the story and read. I immediately connected to the main character, and she wasn’t anything like I expected her to be. I thought the story was well written, easy to read, and I didn’t want to put it down. I’ve never been to the Outback, but the author did an amazing job of taking me there. Her description was fantastic, and I could see Australia in my mind. I can’t wait to see where the author takes the story in the next book, but I do intend to read the first one to see what I missed out on. I highly recommend that you read this book if you like romantic stories that take you on a getaway.

This book blew me away, literally right from the beginning. I got into it right away, it was too hard not to in all honesty. I was captivated by the surrounding world of the the main characters, and as well as the characters themselves. It was realistic and believable truly, the plot I mean, but what I really loved was how the author chose to write this engaging story. I was highly impressed and sucked in!
I too well am able to imagine the vivid world Rain has to live in. I loved her strength and she was very admirable in more ways than one. She learned to survive, and do what she must in her hide out in her bunker. She was her own solider and she fought to live, for herself, for a better future, and for now all she had was enough for her. Throw in a injured shoulder, named Hunter now. He was hurt. He was behind the fallen world that she was stuck to live and live the way she has to. I believe to her she wanted to end his life as he ended many, but part of her saw him as a human, and she did not want to be a killer.
Hunter was a man, yes a solider behind everything the world was facing. He had his own faults with that. Between the UNR and The Resistance things got deadly as I would say. Things happened and the world basically shut down and end up in flames. Rain does help Hunter, but is the passionate chemistry they both are sharing more than either of them bargained for? The chemistry as well as the darkness to both these characters literally left me hooked. I was compelled to keep on reading and wondering where the story would lead to! There was a a lot of parts that brought on a mysterious interesting read!
The writing was amazing, and really easy to follow and get into. I really enjoyed reading about the personalities and who Rain and Hunter each were. I learned many things about both of them, and the story was so easily too get hooked into, I could not put it down. It was that good. I think if your looking for a fast paced and addictive read, please check out this very much talented author’s writing!

Emma also loves mysteries and always has her notebook with her to keep all of her notes. She not only does she work with her business but she also works with Pinkerton Detective agency. with the help of an acquaintance. After graduation along with her brother-in-law’s help, Emma talks to the head of the business school to allow more women into the business school as men make more money in other jobs and new companies still need the administrative help. Along with her business mind, Emma likes solving mysteries. She is involved with the Pinkerton Detective agency, but she doesn’t work there full-time. When a detective colleague investigates an old case Emma she becomes friends with a lady that she saved from a brutal beating a few years ago. With this lady’s connections, Emma and her family can take women away from the Chicago area where they have had abusive relationships and put them back in touch with family to begin their new chapters. It really is a great read and I loved every moment.
Entwined by A.L. Morrow is a Cinderella Retelling and the first book in the Stone and Cinder series. It is the perfect book for anyone who has always wanted to read the ‘adult’ versions of their favorite fairy tales, a genre I have wanted to read for a long time and really happy now that I finally have.
Ashling, like Cinderella, is growing up living at her father’s house in the Autumnlands, where the morning of the ball at the palace celebrating Prince Callum and Duke Teague’s, his husband, third wedding anniversary, see’s something that can endanger the entire kingdom. Banned from her stepmother from going, she must race to the palace, where she meets Prince Callum and share some special moments together.
All I knew going into reading this was that it was based off of Cinderella, but after reading it, I can say that it more than exceeded my expectations! The MMF tale is full of steamy encounters and heart-racing action scenes that will leave you unable to put the book down from the moment you start to the moment you finish it, leaving you wondering what will happen next. I am definitely looking forward to reading the next book in the series!

This book is AMAZING!!!! I am not patiently waiting for the second book. I thought that I had seen all the twists and turns of the classic Cinderella story but man oh man, was I wrong. This book isn’t at all what you think it might be. Yes, it has some of the same plot lines of the classic Cinderella. The step sisters, the step mother, and the Prince. That is however, where the similarities end. This book took so many twists and turns. I wasn’t sure what was going to happen next but I was never disappointed by what did happen. The book has so much suspense that I was constantly turning the page to see what happens. I couldn’t stop reading this book once I started. I am normally not a fan of fantasy but this book might have made me change my mind. Not only does it contain fantasy but it is also pretty steamy. I think the biggest mistake I made when getting started with this book was going into it thinking it would be just another version of the classic Cinderella. So, if you could go into this book knowing that it will have some fundamentals but is not anything like the classic Cinderella, you should be amazed.

This is the first book I have read from this author and she now has a new fan. This is the second book to the Welcome to Bunya Junction and it could be read as a stand alone. I love a good contemporary story but this author exceeded my expectations. I could not put this book down until the end. I now need to read the first book to get a better backstory to all of these other characters.

Born to Fight is the first book in the Can’t Resist You Series by Brittany Anne. First off I absolutely love the cover and second I was expecting something completely different than what I got. I was pulled in from the beginning and found myself on the edge of my seat throughout this whole book. It’s a bit intense in some parts but very well written. This is a story about Hunter and Rain. Hunter is the Leader of Resistance and he wants to take down the UNR. Rain has been on her own the last couple of years and living in a bunker in the woods trying to stay hidden in hopes they don’t find her. Hunter was left for dead until she saved his life and now finds herself thrown into Resistance by the man who started it all. What will happen when he discovers the truth? Will Hunter choose his heart or his purpose? I highly recommend reading this to find out what happens next. I can’t wait to read more from this Author.

Forever by Ivy Nelson is book nine of the Diamond Doms series. I didn’t read any of the other books in this series before jumping into this one. I don’t feel like I lost any of the story but if you want to meet all of the characters, you should start at the beginning. I will definitely be going back and reading the rest of the series.
Russell has to keep Holly and Gemma safe. That’s his only priority. Gemma sure doesn’t make that an easy task. There are people after Club Solitaire and part of Russell’s past May hold the key. Russell didn’t expect to feel anything for Gemma but once he sees her, there is instant attraction. Both Gemma and Russell have some baggage that gets in their way. Russell doesn’t really do relationships and Gemma’s been through a lot recently but maybe they can act on this attraction. The attraction between Russell and Gemma is just the beginning of what his book covers. There is so much mystery, danger and intrigue you can’t wait to find out what happens.
This was a good read, even coming into the series at the end. I did, however, feel like there there was a lot of Holly’s storyline in this book even though it was more Russell and Gemma’s book but otherwise it was a good read and the characters were great!

Entwined (Stone and Cinder Book 1) by A.L. Morrow 4 Stars
This is a titillating and tantalizing retelling of Cinderella. I love reading reinvented fairytales and this is like no other that I have read. This story is so sexy! The author added some monsters in the mix and this has become one of my favourites.
Although Ashling is disheartened and disconsolate, she still sees beauty in the world around her. She made a promise to her father before he disappeared and years later, she loyally has kept her word. It’s admirable. She is gentle and strong at the same time. Her stepsisters and stepmother are just as horrible as in the original. Her stepmother probably more so. There was one scene where my heart broke for Ashling.
There was more to this book than just finding true love and that’s what made it all the more interesting. The only thing that disappointed me was the ending. That’s because I truly thought that this was a stand-alone. Now I have to wait for part two. Please hurry Ms. Morrow.

This is a good detective story. It really drew me in. Its fast paced and I easily read it in about 24 hours. It was nice to see a lot of the characters we have met in previous stories of Logans plus meet a few new ones.
This is the seventh story I have read from this author. This one I did figure out but that didn’t make it an less entertaining. I look forward to the next.

Logan is happy in life, her personnel life is great and her career is going well until a video that her and her students make goes viral and she worries how this will affect her relationship with Ben, but as usual with everything going on she also stumbles upon a body and let’s just say it gets more complicated from there on in.
This is the seventh book in this series and this book does not disappoint, it is full of the usual twists and turns you accept from a Logan McKenna story and has you following along trying to solve the murder with Logan as her friend. I could not put this book down and accepting the story to follow one way and then suddenly driving in another way has you definitely on your toes. This can be read as a stand-alone story but I would read this series from the start as you get to understand the dynamic between Logan and Ben and how they first started and some back history which I think helps you to enjoy the stories better. Can’t wait for the next book in this wonderful series.

The Book of Carraig is the second book in this AMAZING series by author Andrea Matthews and it is just as fantastic as the first book. Yet again I couldn’t put it down and had that feeling where I wanted to hurry up and read it to see what was going to happen but at the same time didn’t want it to end. Sleep is overrated right?? I do HIGHLY recommend reading the first book, The Cross of Ciaran before reading this, not only because it’s amazing but also as it picks up Ciaran and Caitlin a year later when he returns to Ireland. Of course it is a very different Ireland now.
As I mentioned before this book is as fantastic as the first and continues with more romance, magic, drama and mystery just like the first. I really don’t want to give too much away. I personally can’t wait for the third book. I am totally hooked.
Ms Matthews you write with so much heart! You and your writing definitely have a place in mine.

How do you review an amazing book like The Cross of Ciaran but not give anything away to those who are yet to discover the amazingness of this book and Author Andrea Matthews? I guess I will go with the KISS theory for once and Keep It Simple Stupid.
This is the first book I have read from Andrea Matthews and I am definitely 100 percent a fan. Her love of history and this world she created is evident in every sentence and in the way the characters, especially Caitlin and Ciaran, draw you in and develop through the story. Ciaran can come stay with me anytime he likes! This book has a little bit of everything in it and it will keep you turning page after page. I just couldn’t put it down!! It definitely now has a special place in my heart.

Going into this book I was not sure what to truly expect. It was somewhat an emotional tale, but also one that portrayed hope and beauty in the life we are given. This story was original and heartfelt and you could feel the emotions written word by word on each page. Marie DeBlassie did an amazing job with the way this story was told! The story is told by Mercy who is a young girl living in a small town in NM. As she tells her story its clearly not a fairy tale, but her everyday life as she has lived it. She is raised in a town where dark skin is frowned upon, Spanish is a forbidden language, and La Llorona (the weeping woman) has a hold on the towns generations of women and once she takes you there is no way back. She is raised by a single mother who she feels secretly fights her depression/unhappiness for Mercy’s sake, and her only friend and best friend is a girl named Sherry (or Sherry baby as she calls her). Her story strongly represents the power of facing your fears, overcoming your doubts, and living your life how you choose.
