Cupid’s job is harder than all his colleagues know. Mother Nature, Santa Claus, the Grim Reaper, Neptune, none of them understand the intricacies involved in pairing two people – the right two people, for true love. A wager is made and Mother Nature is first up to try to play matchmaker. How hard can it be anyway? Love is in the air in this romance-gone-awry. I enjoyed the bickering between the celestial beings and am looking forward to the rest of the series. It’s a fun, quick read!

A sweet love story that will leave you wanting more. Immortals betting on love, who will win? A quick read that will definitely wanting more from this author. I was kind of disappointed that the immortals weren’t gods or goddesses when I  started this book, but quickly overcame that as I fell into the story. I can highly recommend this book, as well as others that may follow.

This story delivers humor and romance in a way only the Mythological Gods can present it. This book was a lighthearted read that has a delightful cast and a feel good emotion all throughout the story. Cupid is seen in a different light as he makes sure the other Gods see his job is more than just shoot and aim to get people to fall in love. Watching the Gods attempt to be “Cupid” was comical and sweet. This author did a great job with this novella, and I will definitely read future stories from her.

This was a fun read. It’s got a concept to it that’s not overly done. It’s a short read but it still if filled to the brim with great characters and a storyline that will keep you hooked until the very end. With this being the first book I’m definitely excited and looking forward to the rest. It’s well written and unique so you don’t feel like it’s all been seen before. This author is definitely quickly becoming a one click author for me. Four big stars and highly recommended!

As someone who has been reading a lot of books centering around mythology lately, this was the perfect book for me. I love the twist that the author has put on the more popular ‘fantasy’ figures in this book.

The first book in the series focuses on Mother Nature after she and other popular mythological figures make a bet that they could do Cupids job without issue. I loved watching Mother Nature impersonate a kind old lady just trying to start a new life, and it was hilarious watching her get used to living in the real world. By the end of the book, I was rooting for Mother Nature to be victorious in her quest, having fallen head over heels in love with her.

This is not my first book by the author and it certainly won’t be the last. I love her writing style, attention to detail, and the many characters she has written up. Can’t wait to read the next book in the series!

Everyone thinks Cupid has the easiest job out of all the deities. How hard can it really be to push humans to fall in love? A wager is made between a group of immortals to help ONE human couple find true love…as Mother Nature AKA Greta kicks off the friendly bet, will she prove how easy it is to make mortals fall in love? Cute, clean fun, with a little bit of magic thrown in.

I was drawn to this book, the first in a series, because of the unique premise. The Gods make a bet challenging Cupid and Mother Nature is first up. The love story was predictable but cute and not drawn out. The background on the Gods was interesting and added that little bit extra to draw you in. I am looking forward to the next in the series.

C. A. King delivers yet again! In this first book of the Romantically Seasonal series, King combines humor, mythology, magic, and romance to keep the reader entertained. Spring’s Showers focuses on the importance of choosing happiness over who, or what, can bring you the most comfortable lifestyle. The Gods think Cupid’s job as a matchmaker is too easy. Spring’s Showers is Mother Nature’s chance to prove that any of the Gods can produce a love match. But she soon learns that true love is harder to manufacture than she realizes. C. A. King’s quick reads still deliver the lovable, realistic characters as well as great works building. I can’t wait to read the rest of this series!

This is a cute short story that once you start reading you won’t want to put it down until you’ve finished. I’m a huge fan of this author and her style of writing and her attention to detail is simply amazing. This is a cute story that has a bit of mythology mixed with romance Get ready to be taken on quite the ride as Cupid and Mother Mature set out to prove one is better than the other. Can Cupid prove his job is much harder than it may look? I highly recommend reading this cute story to find out what happens next. I can’t wait for the next book in this series. This book was so unexpected that it blew my top off! There are points I didn’t know what I was reading but the deeper I got into it, the more it made sense. I loved and was instantly drawn to Abbey, the main character rather than the story itself. She alone carried this book. The fact that this is a book you won’t soon forget: get your copy and you won’t be disappointed!

This was a fantastic paranormal young adult novel. Paranormal and suspense is my favorite genre and this met both. Abbey who has seen ghosts since she was 7 has found herself suddenly attracting ghost clowns after going to the circus with her parents. Can Abbey along with the help of her friends solve the mystery? This was a story that instantly pulled me in and I found myself having a hard time putting the book down and read it in a couple of days. You felt the fear as the characters encountered the ghosts and the hope that all would be resolved. The ending was sureal but perfect. My only complaint, I wish there was a list of all the 80s song Abbey refers to so I can make my own play list … I guess I’ll just have to read the book again.

Abbey is the most lovable quirky character in this breathtaking novel about these scary clowns. This book was a really fun read, and as a girl COMPLETELY AFRAID of the movie IT, I am taken aback by this fact. I have been reading many types of books lately, including books about the history of racism…so I was not afraid while reading this book. I recommend not picturing what is going on to deeply, this certainly kept me safe while reading this entire book. The author is fantastic at telling the story, so much so I read all the way through to the acknowledgements, and it did not disappoint. The great thing about this book is it felt so realistic and haunting, and you truly believe Abbey, and feel like this could happen to you if you had this hidden strength she possesses. Here is another book on my highly recommended list of reads. I will say this, I am SUPER happy I did not see this in a movie, though it is movie worthy. I promise myself I won’t even try to see it in the theaters! Happy reading everyone!

Beelzebub, the demon of Gluttony, is one of the Seven Princes of Hell. He is to tempt humans into the sin of gluttony and mark them. He comes across Clara, am empath, whom own The Sweet Spot bakery, the perfect place for gluttony. Beelzebub becomes enamored with Clara and shows himself to her and allows her to mistaken him for an angel. Clara is committed to light and God. This is a good story of good and evil, light and dark. I have not read any of the other sinful seven novels and there were a few things that I felt I may have understood better or made more sense if I had read the other novels, but not enough that made the story frustrating or too confusing.

Spring’s Showers was a fun rom-com with a mythological twist. Cupid makes true love matches but it’s not as easy as the other immortals believe. A bet is placed and the matchmaking begins. We start this series with Mother Nature beginning the challenge of bringing two souls together to fall in love. She meets Spring, owner of a garden center, and is determined to find her match but goes through some errors in understanding what true love actually is. This was a great start to the series and I’m interested to see how the other’s fair in the matchmaking game.

This story is enjoyable and made me smile throughout….I cannot wait to see what is in store with this series! Definitely recommended….

I first took notice of this book when I saw the cover. Reading the blurb on the back I knew I needed to read it. Abbey can see ghosts and I will be the first to admit that I am addicted to the show “Ghost Whisperer”. Going to a circus with her family, she runs into some uneasiness with people but what follows is even worse. She is seeing ghost clowns at her new high school. Her friends are going missing. Can Abby help? Is she the reason? The 80’s nostalgic soundtrack is still playing in my head.
This is the second book in the Ghost Girls Series. I have not read the first one but did not feel like I was missing anything. I am curious to go back and read how it started but is a want not a need.

  1. Claiming My Mate is the first book of the Wolf Hollow Pack series. This is the first time I have read Nichole Howl. I’m always looking for new authors to read. This book was an easy and fast read, and it didn’t take me long to get hooked. Lily and Jason’s story is a love story that leaves me wanting more. The story had me believing things were one way but as Jason is getting ready to take the throne, he wants things to change. The only thing I would like to see in the books to come is that the author slows the story down and offer more details. Otherwise, this is a great read, and I can’t wait for the next installment to see where the story goes.View all my reviews

I must first start this off by saying if you are not a fan of clowns proceed with caution on this one.
While I want to jump right in with my review of the story I HAVE to say i LOVED the 80’s music choices in this book!

Ok to the book, I had no idea Abbey has a book before this and it did not take away anything in this book so it isnt needed to read and appreciate this story.
Whats worse than clowns, ghost clowns and now her friends are disappearing and they may be to blame.
Oh I forgot to mention, abbey can see and talk to ghosts!
I cant Just pinpoint one favorite thing of this book it needed each part to make it the great story it is. Highly recommend.

I loved the concept of this book but it didn’t quite hit for me. I love other things from this author so I 100% believe its just me.
What I liked:
-The concept of the story. The other gods things Eros is a lighting stock and his job as cupid is the easiest. They make a bet that they can do his job in return for him doing theirs.
-Spring, I loved her as a character, she is dead set on making her family gardening shop a success. I love a character with dedication.
What I felt like was missing:
(view spoiler)[- More between Alex and Spring, you had a feeling they would end up together from the start but there was just something missing. (hide spoiler)]
– Luke, very much felt like that character was not needed at all for this story, I understand it was Gretas initial love interest for Spring but I just felt like it was a useless character.

Since there are other gods I feel this book is set up to have sequels and I will probably read them as well because I love the author, this one just wasn’t for me.

The interaction between the characters was great to see. I thought they were all dynamic and really easy to read about. As the first book to a new series I thought this was a great way to start it!

This book was extremely well written. I enjoyed a lot the portrayal of Beelezebub, as well as the different take on everything. The twist on the angel and demon dynamic was fantastic, as were the characters themselves. I won’t go into details about the plot so as not to spoil it, but you will not be disappointed in this novel. It’s a refreshing take, with characters that are intriguing and all-consuming (pun intended). I hope you enjoy this book as much as I have.

I adore the concept of this series. Cupid job seems like the easiest of all how hard is it to make people fall in love right. The others think cupid has or the easiest of all. As it it spring time and mother nature is out to play cupid realise its not an easy task to make these fall on love. Mother nature is acting as a mortal how hard is it to fall in love can cupid succeed in his mission of a lifetime.

Trust your instincts. If something doesn’t feel right, chances are, it’s not. Unfortunately for Spring, things were encouraged via other methods to manipulate a situation that shouldn’t have really happened in the first place, leaving others in the dust, but, it’s a person’s gift to know what feels right to them, and them alone. This author has done it again with her creative writing ability to allow the reader into the minds of all within the pages of this novel, and to have us feel their emotions, decisions, and to leave us without doubt that they are making the right choices. Honestly, I will certainly be reading more by this author, no matter the genre.

I thought it was about time that Mother Nature took the lead in this story, and very exciting for her to try and take over Cupid. The characters were well thought out, and the ongoing narrative was fantastic. One quote from the novel that really got me was: “They owned the world and mankind bowed down to their power. If they had been living creatures, they might have been considered gods.” Amazing, and I cannot wait until the next Season is upon us. True love will always prevail (or at least, I like to think it will.) Highly recommend!

I LOVE THIS BOOK!

The synopsis pulled me in right away, this book hits the ground running and is a fantastic start to a series.

The Author does an amazing job at keeping you at the edge of your seat, reading as fast as you can. The Authors writing style flows so smoothly, along with their characters and storyline, I read the majority of the book in one sitting. I love the main characters and how their witty banter slowly draws them closer.

This is my first read from the Author and it will most definitely not be last. I am looking forward to what comes next!
