Shifters, mates and monarchy This is the first book in the series and it was brilliantly written. A perfect balance of paranormal, romance and action had me turning the pages late into the night that I ended up reading this in one sitting! Dual POV, which I love, had me falling hard for Jason. Lily is an emotional roller coaster but I liked her character too. Can’t wait to see where this series goes – there is still so much more to uncover. Highly recommend.

This was a very interesting twist on the demon angel dynamic and I loved it!! Beelzebub (aka Zee) is one of the Seven Princes of Hell. His job is to go around the world and tempt humans with any type of gluttony that he can. He jumps from different hosts, taking possession with permission, and gets the host to experience their hearts desires. He lives through them and experiences it all. It can never be enough to fill his glutenous soul. Once finished he leaves the body broken, weak, and marked for hell. When he comes across a woman who seems to be able to ignore his influence he is intrigued and must try harder to get into her. Clara is an empath and can sense other people’s emotions. She uses her gift of baking to make people feel better. But taking care of others can be draining. She gets weaker with each person that she helps. When Zee appears to her and tells her he is there to help her, she feels a bit off. Thinking he is an angel she starts to trust him only to banish him once she finds out that he is in fact a demon and not the angel she thought. Demons don’t scare away that easy though and unfortunately this demon is attracting other monsters into her life by being around her so much. Fighting to save a soul is not something that he does. He wants to erase them all from the earth! But she is different and he can’t help but be drawn to her. Will his meddling cause more problems then it’s worth? Will this demon protect her soul? Or will he mark it for hell. Will Clara forgive Zee for messing with her life? Or will she die because of it!?! You won’t be disappointed in this book once you pick it up. So hard to put down even!! Enjoy!

This was my first book by this author. Let me tell you, I was not disappointed. The way the characters are written allows the reader to easily visualize them and the hot vampire is exactly that, HOT!! They character development in this story is really good but it was the twists and turns (suspense and action) that really made me sink my teeth into it. This book has everything from romance, steam, to suspense. I highly recommend this book because it left me wanting more. I couldn’t stop reading it. The pages blurred together and when the ending happened, I wasn’t prepared or ready for it to be over. Can she stop hunting him and love him? That question is what had me through the whole book.

I have to say, I enjoyed Beelzebub The Gift of Gluttony far more than I anticipated I would. Once I started this book, I was all in and could not put it down. I loved the characters and the instant heat between Clara and Zee. I thought for sure I knew how the book would end, but then came unexpected twists that proved my predictions all wrong. I look forward to reading more from this author!

This was my first time reading a book of this particular genre, and all I can say is wow!! It is absolutely thrilling; I couldn’t put it down! Abbey always knew something was different about her, not that she was particularly happy about that, but she can’t exactly change it. However, it proves to be a particularly useful gift when she has to use her gift, as well as having to discover her own inner strength, to figure out why students at her new school keep going missing. This book is full of mystery, and the suspense will keep you on the edge of your seat! This book is an amazingly fast paced and thrilling with surprised when you’d least expect them, yet the plot flows perfectly!! If you like young adult teenage angst, plenty of drama, clowns, and even ghosts, this is perfect for you! Allen Evan’s created a wonderful experience when writing this book, and I’m so glad I stepped out of my normal comfort zone to try it! Though it is the second book of the ghost girl series I was able to read it and not feel like I was missing any information I needed despite having not read the first book featuring out fourteen-year-old heroine.

My first read by this author, I wasn’t sure what to expect. As with most werewolf romance stories, there are several common themes – werewolves are primal and violent, there are fated mates and the goddess, and there’s evil men and valiant men. There are a few seductive moments, suspense, shape shifting and violence. It was interesting enough that I’ll continue to read the series to see what becomes of Lily and Jason.
Lily is a human servant of the Wolf Hollow pack. She has a grueling schedule for terrible masters. The king and alpha is a cruel man who enjoys making others fear him. Everyone in his presence strictly keeps their eyes away to avoid challenging him. Lily has a miserable life as a servant to the wolf pack, but has made a couple of friends that look out for her. When she is cornered and attacked in her bedroom by an abusive soldier, she is rushed to the royal families medical facility. It is here she really meets Prince Jason, the future alpha. As a human, she expects and anticipates the prince to mistreat her and is determined to stay out of his way…but Jason has caught her scent and realizes she is his mate. He is drawn to her, uncaring of the status difference between them. Once he learns who Lily’s attacker is, he challenges Callum.
This story is pretty fast paced and kept me interested enough to keep reading. It is a shorter book and the interest made for an especially quick read. It seems as though it could be a bit more polished, but was enjoyable and has you cheering for Lily and Jason and liking Dean and Amara.

Amazing story 5 out of 5 stars for me. The JC Brown and L Lane had me on my toes when it came to Clara and Zee a.k.a Beelzebub. See Clara did not know who Zee was until the truth came out and lead her to seek refuge with God, but Zee got too deep with Clara and had to fight off so many demons and angels so she can be his. In the end, I thought for a fact that Lucifer was going to have Clara and have it his way since Zee was going to disobey him. Now there is one character that I was not so much fond of was Max, he kept on pushing Clara into a relationship but she was not ready. Like she said, ” I’m just not looking for a relationship.”

Claiming My Mate by Nicole Howl is a fast-paced and incredibly enjoyable paranormal romance story. Lily and Jason are fated mates. However, he is the prince and alpha to be and she is the kidnapped and enslaved servant to the royal family. The book is adventurous with well-written characters. I really enjoyed Lily, Jason, and Dean’s interactions. Seeing all that Lily had to go through and her inner dialogue broke my heart. The plot is great and while I enjoyed the pace, I do wish it’d been slowed down a bit for more plot development. Some things just didn’t make sense to happen that quickly, like Lily’s strength development. This book is a fast, enjoyable read. I was so engrossed that I was surprised when the end came. I eagerly await the sequel.

Angels, demons and temptations Filled with a unique storyline this book is a page turner. Beelzebub is a flirty, mischievous and sexy demon who is confident with what he wants and what he does. Until he meets Clara, a baker and empath. I enjoyed their banter and connection. Once the battle between angels and demons starts the story takes a life of its own. A sinfully delicious read.

Paranormal action romance adventure This book had it all. Loved the characters, the setting and the storyline. I was vested immediately in the characters, especially Sam. The writing is really good and this book is a very strong start to the series. Told in dual POV, Sam and Layla each hold their own. Their passion and connection is off the charts. There is a cliffhanger which makes me eager for book 2.

Layla is a human who hunts vampires as that is what she was raised around with her family. Her next target takes her for a spin since Sam is someone she can’t keep her eyes off of. She doesn’t want him (That’s her brain talking, not her heart), but she needs his help to save her sisters. This first book is already sexy, dangerous, drama filled, and so entertaining that’ll you’ll want to finish it. BUT the cliffhanger though! I am ready for the second book immediately, so get ready for that as well! 🙂

Beelzebub: The Gift of Gluttony (A Sinful Seven Novel) by J.C. Brown and Lena Lane is a paranormal romance, with fantasy, demons, and plenty of temptation. This is the first book that I have read from either of these two authors, so I was reallly excited to see what they could do- and WOW, what a story they wove. Keeping me well and truly hooked the whole way through. What happens when one of the princes of hell sets his sights on a human baker? One who seems able to resist his ‘charms’? Well, this story is definitely worth the read to find out. Looking forward to exploring more of these two talented authors work. Happy reading!

While I throughly enjoyed the two main characters I was equally enthralled with the supporting characters. Yes I did not love every character and some I even couldn’t believe the way they acted. Still a purpose is served by them being evil, kind, sweet etc. This is book one in the series and I am on pins and needles awaiting the next one.

I just love diving into a great vampire book and this book was fantastic!! This is the story of two characters that are just different, one being a vampire while the other is a vampire hunter. Layla is strong and feisty and hunts vampires and comes from a family that is famous for being vampire hunters. Sam is a Navy SEAL but also arrogant and can come across cocky at times. Sam is powerful more than you know. When a chance encounter and a failed op bring Layla and Sam together, the roller coaster of a ride really takes off. Layla wants to capture Sam for her own purpose, but what happens when things do not happen as planned? Definitely read and find out!! This book has some sizzling hot moments, banter, deception all wrapped into a great read! I cannot wait to get my hands on book 2 to continue this story of Layla and Sam!

It doesn’t go into detail , but the aftermath is still difficult to read. The author isn’t scared of putting her characters in difficult circumstances. I look forward to reading more in this series!

A team of vampires is waiting in the dark, watching for their target, Roman Brown. Sam waits patiently as he watches the establishment run by vampires. To his astonishment, three women enter the bar, and he wonders why humans would choose this particular bar. Then Roman, the rogue vampire, arrives with a Shifter at his side. Sam makes his move only to find vampires racing out of the bar. Entering the building, he sees the three women were shooting darts into the vampires, which caused them to fall unconscious. One of them is holding a gun against one of his team members, Ben, who is half human. Another has shot Roman several times, but the rogue remains awake without the ability to move.
Rianne threatens to shoot Sam with a dart, but the vampire is too fast and manages to invoke a spell on the girl. Layla, her sister, comes to her aid, but Sam has already freed Ben. Before the two flee, he warns her to leave before Roman can move. Jordyn and Layla carry their sister to a car and drive out of the city to their house backing up to the woods. Sam’s spell on Rianne has made her unable to speak, and she seems to have lost any cognitive ability. Layla debates with Jordyn on how to help their sister. Unfortunately, the decision ends up forced upon Layla when Roman arrives and snatches Jordyn. To save Jordyn, she has to seek help from the vampire that cast a spell on Rianne. Sam, her intended target, is the only one that can help her sister. Seeking him out goes against everything she has ever known. A vampire hunter pairing up with a vampire? Would he help her before Roman decides to kill Jordyn?
A romantic vampire fantasy story, this is the first book of a Vampire Navy SEAL series. The characters are well-developed, and the tension is boiling. Throw in several outside stories that imply secrets that could be Earth shattering, and this book will captivate your attention.

Sam is a vampire who is part of an elite team of vampire Navy SEALS. Each vampire of this team is strong in their own way but especially Sam and his family the Masons.
Another vampire by the name of Roman is known for selling vampire DNA to the highest bidder. Sam and his team go to a nightclub on a mission to scout Roman but all hell breaks loose when 3 beautiful women show up and vampires start to drop all around them.
Layla and her two sisters are struggling vampire hunters. They were hired to do one simple job. Get a vampire by the name of Sam Mason. The “easy” job was anything but. Sam was stronger than they were prepared for.
Instantly Sam and Layla have a connection, unsure if it is love, lust or even blood thirst. All Layla knows is she should get away from this man before anything happens but destiny has other plans for this couple. Things happen causing Layla to get closer to Sam for help.
This book was sexy and steamy. Both characters were lovable bad asses. I loved how they interacted with each other, constantly teasing and tormenting. Layla is snarky and brave while Sam is cocky with a big ego. I would highly recommend reading this sexy romance story unfold.

Lily and Jason have a dramatic, suspenseful yet romantic story on their journey to a happy ending. True to the wolf world Jason finds Lily to be his mate and the possessive/protective nature come out full force for his newfound love. Lily being a human and servant has the odds against her but as her she adjusts to her new life with her new love she finds her voice and her strength. This was a good read that is a very fun play into the paranormal wolf world and I look forward to book 2.

I adored Sam and Layla. The chemistry and connection despite the differences really brought the story to life for me. This author is new to me and this was a great first time read. The story itself kept me fully engaged and the characters were lovable and relatable. The Vampire Navy SEAL and his Vampire Hunter are drawn together even though their families are enemies. Sam is meant to be Layla’s prey but they come together for a common good that turns to much more along the way. However when tough decisions must be made you are not sure where things will go.. Their story of angst, drama, and forbidden love will definitely keep you on your toes.

What a series opener!! Treachery, scheming, infighting, and deceit….and that is just with one family!! A kickass heroine that is only getting badder! I was so happy to see that Jason didn’t fight or deny the mate bond. I am enjoying the way that Lily is coming into herself, getting stronger, willing to be strong for others, and not willing to take crap from others especially the King. I can’t wait for the next books as there are so many promises that Jason has to keep, so many changes he wants to make!
This story is about learning your value and discovering the inner strength we all possess. The romance is just a bonus. Lily’s evolution, even Jason’s, is one from which we all can learn.

I’m torn. I love wolf shifters books. This one though I’m not sure how I feel. I don’t care for the abuse and rape aspect of it. I did enjoy the new found wolf experience. I understand that a lot of times these books are always a mismatch when it comes to mates but Claiming My Mate pushes a lot of boundaries that could be triggers for some. Lily, a kidnapped human, forced into becoming a servant for the royal family. Though she’s a servant she’s very defiant with a very strong personality. Jason, the essential crowned prince of the pack, next in line for alpha. Little does he know his mate will be found under his own roof. I do like how the author wrote Jason is very kind, sympathetic, strong everything you want in a future leader. His development throughout was a shining light on a book I was struggling with at times. If you like servant/master romances check it out, you should enjoy it. If you’re like me and enjoy shifter romances, go into this book with an open mind before making a decision.

Claiming My Mate (Wolf Hollow Pack Book 1) by Nicole Howl. This is my first read by this author and its the first book in the Wolf Hollow Pack series. This isn’t my favorite genre but I truly enjoyed this book. Its a young adult, paranormal book with werewolves, shifters, and romance all in the middle of young adult problems. Its a quick read and once you start you won’t want to put it down. Its the story of Lily who serves the royal wolf pack family as a “slave”. Jason is a Prince and when he picks up Lily’s scent when she has cleaned his room he wants to find her. There is also a member of the Royal Guard who is interested in her and will have her one way or another. Jason is kind, helpful and everything you want a Prince to be but Lily is stuck between a rock and hard place as a slave because she really has no say. Lily would love to be with Jason but feels her place in life will never allow it. There are some hard scenes to read so be prepared!

Two people that should not be together, when tragedy arises, and they have to work together, can they resist their natural instincts? The intensity between the two and how well they work together is a must read! I am looking forward to seeing what is in store for these two next.

Claiming My Mate was a great short read. I haven’t read a shifter book in quite a while and this one reminded me how much I enjoy them. I can’t wait to read the second book… especially because of that ending! I really loved Lily, she is such a strong fighter. Also… Jason… *swoon* need I say more? I highly recommended if you’re looking for a good shifter romance.

First off I’ll have to say I hate clowns. I think that they are creepy and most definitely belong in a horror novel. That being said, this book was marvelous. Horror stories have always been one of my go to genres, and this one proved that even young adult ghost stories can make me jump. The characters were likeable, the plot unique. Scary clowns, spooky ghosts, and a read that can’t be put down. Bravo 🙂 can’t wait to read more
S.B. Alexander is a new author but what a mind she has. She has a knack for making you feel like you have new friends and you want to be part of the group in the story. Layla is a vampire hunter and Sam is that sexy Navy seal except he is a vampire as well. What can go wrong with these two right? or what can go right? The passion, grit, and love of these two are put to the challenge in more than one way, but what happens when the only one that can help you is the one you are sworn to annihilate??

Fast paced and filled with action. Then there is the chemistry which is OFF the CHARTS. Scenes between Sam and Layla so HOT! I loved all the anticipation between them!
This is filled with great characters! I enjoyed them all….even the bad ones. Everyone brought something to the table that is a little bit different. They impressed me and made me irritated… then I would roll my eyes at something silly. I really enjoyed them and can’t wait to find out more about them.
Sadly this does end on a cliffhanger…I am not a fan of them. I wish this could have ended differently and we could move to other characters in future books. In fact I would love a Tripp/Rianne or a white wolf story.
Overall this is an amazing story filled with characters I came to care about. I look forward to more in this series.
