What a ride that was. I love enemies to lovers trope and the author nailed it. I haven’t read the other books in the series, but this read well without having read the previous books.

Eh its okay. I liked the thought of weird shifters. I struggled with the flow of the story and romance part. I felt for Ducky and her loneliness but I am not sure about the third form. That was different. I personally was unliking of that element of the story but see how it helped move the story another way. The ending was abrupt in the relationship area but came to a conclusion in the secondary story

First the cover of this book caught my attention then the idea of a duck shifter had my curiosity peaked. The story behind this eye catching cover was absolutely amazing and a fresh take on an animal shifter book.
An odd shifter out as a duckling compared to all the larger animal shifters. Our main character is made to feel out of place and like she just doesn’t belong. Following along her journey to finding herself was and possibly snagging the Prince she has been crushing on?
Cannot wait to read the next book in the series!

Hadassah, a angel made a choice to help her brother save a demon but it had consequences. She was made a fallen angel and sent to earth to await her judgement. She struggles though as shes living with her brother and he lives with demons and she finds herself judging all of them as bad people before she even gets to know them and hides in her room and doesn’t interact anymore than necessary which breeds discontent by all the others at the house.
Someone however goes missing and she has a choice to make. Does she stay out of it and just await heavens decision on her behavior and angel status but disappoint her bother in the process, or does she choose to again help her brother but take the risk that she will never enter the world she loved to help her brother who’s helped her the entire time she was on earth awaiting her fate?

Ohhh nooo this is the fifth and last book of the Life is Hell Series, now i gotta find another book by her lol. It’s very bittersweet. I’ve really enjoyed reading this whole series and I’m not ready for the end, but I couldn’t wait to read Jezebel and Hadassah’s story. Love coming back to Juniper lakes and all its paranormal goodness or badness they’d say lol. This is a f/f enemies to lovers trope with fallen angels, necromancer ,demons and much more. It’s funny and action packed with a kidnapping. I think it became my favorite one. If you have read this or the other, I highly suggest you go and read the whole series. It’s that good. Thank you for another great series, Naomi Valkyrie!

Like the other books in this series, this book was really well done. I enjoyed the duel POV. The chemistry between Oradea and Natalia was sizzling. It’s a good read and I suggest reading the entire series.

This is the 5th book in the Life is Hell series by Naomi Valkyrie. We finally get to learn more about Jezebel and Hadassah, Malakhi’s angel sister. After helping her brother save a demon, she get exiled to Earth and has to put up with his new family. Trying not to upset her brother, she attempts to make friends. Thinking Jezebel is the least annoying, she settles for her. Only she gets more than she bargained for! Now they are on the run from Jezebel’s past together and Hadassah is starting to have feelings. I loved this whole series and probably this book the most. I really hope she writes yet another book about Juniper Lake and all our friends there. You can read this story alone, but I highly recommend you read them in order and learn to love each character as I have.

When the Vampire King comes to meet with people of her town she finds herself brought into the place when she inadvertently changes to a duckling. Someone from the place saves her from being trampled and killed by the mass of people trying to see the King. The king is on a quest that will lead to war if he doesn’t complete it. Will war come for the humans and shifters? Read the book and find out. Excited to read book two.

Master Oradea is the Master for the Oradea area of the Consulate and he is on the hunt, hunting for a traitor of the highest order who has gone rogue and betrayed the Masters and Overmaster Descallia has put him in charge of this race to get ahead and find out where the traitor and the other rogues are so that they can wipe them from the earth before they destroy life as the vampires know it. Meanwhile, Oradea is checking in with his lords and soldiers on the ground and making sure that they are all listening out for rumours, hints and sightings of the rogues, however, on one particular trip to one of his clubs, he runs into a red headed beauty who immediately draws his attention, however, he has too much on his plate to think about women.
Things do not go to plan however, when the rogue turns up at his club and threatens him, this is followed by a report that later on, one of his minions threatened the red head and her entire family, so Oradea decides to take her safety into his own hands, her family however are not in the slightest bit happy with this scenario and throw up every objection they can find, until they reluctantly admit that her staying with Master Oradea is the best option. Oradea will not let himself be distracted by the beauty and is determined to tear apart any witch, shifter, rogue or traitor who gets in his way on revenge on the ones who have carried out the deepest betrayal, but the fiery and stubborn human just keeps tempting him.
Master Oradea knows he has to move fast when there is a sighting of the rogue factions, however, what he doesn’t expect is that his red headed enchantress has powers of her own and when this is found out, she becomes an even larger target, but will their budding attraction be able to handle the biggest war between the factions of the vampires, witches, shifters and rogues, or will destiny be foiled by those he was betrayed by? As lines are drawn and loyalties tested, blood will be spilt, but whose is the question, and will destiny show them the way or will this race against time to secure secrets and lives become a more prolonged affair than any of the Masters anticipated as you race along on this fast paced and action-packed addition to this darkly romantic series.

Master Oradea is the 10th book in the Masters of the Consulate series. This edition is a dark vampire romance between Master Oradea and Natalia, the sister of a non-vampire mafia group. Once again the masters and their mates are fighting witches and rouges who are trying to go back to living the old way, hurting humans. Natalia’s life is threatened by rouges and Master Oradea offers to be her protection. The two of them have an instant attraction and realize something is weird when they can hear each other’s thoughts. She only believes herself to be human so she doesn’t understand how this is possible. The problem is that her brothers do not trust anyone with their sister but they cannot protect her the way Master Oradea can. Master Oradea and Natalia find trust in each other to fight the battle, while also fighting their feelings. Will they give into attraction even when their beliefs are on different paths? Can they find common ground?
These books are always a quick read. I will say that the same plot line is technically the same in each of the books, just with different characters. As for the characters, they were good. I did like that they were straight to the point in what each of them wanted, you could see the quick development of feelings, and I enjoyed Natalia’s courage throughout. I have read all 10 in the series so far, so there is no reason to stop now. However, I will say that if you read this thinking you were getting a dark romance, it is not that dark.

This is the 10th book in the Master of Consulate series. This is a great series with a paranormal romance element as well as the underlaying story of the war between the Masters and the rouges which runs through each of the books.
Each book focuses on a different couple, however I personally recommend reading them in order so you get a complete sense of the story, why the war is happening and how each person fits into it.
This is a story of danger, romance, fated mates, vampires, warewolves, witches and a fight that seems like it is never going to end.
In this story we meet Master Oradea and Natalia Benzini’s story.
The war on the rouges has entered the territory of Master Oradea, who will stop at nothing to stop the rouges from wreaking havoc in his territory. He has never thought of meeting a mate before and has no plans to now until Natalia Benzini shows up.
Natalia Benzini is the daughter of a crime family, when she is kidnapped and told to pass on a message from the rogue vampires her brothers know she needs to be protected. So they reach out to the only person capable from protecting her Master Oradea
As the story progresses their simmering attraction becomes harder to deny can they resist the pull they feel towards each other? After all Natalia is off limits.
But with danger around every turn, could the distraction caused by Natalia be the cause of Master Oradea not capturing Lucus and the rogues? Can he protect her from all the dangers surrounding her including himself?

Master Oradea is Book Ten in the Masters of the Consulate series. It is a dark vampire paranormal, fated mates, enemies to lover’s romance with shifters, vampires, witches, drama, danger, suspense, intrigue, betrayal, vengeance, secrets, lies, and passion. Although each book in the series can be read as a standalone, I feel that reading prior books would provide a better understanding of the background of the recurring characters that overlap in each book.
This book tells the story of Master Oradea who is searching for someone who betrayed him as the battle ensues between the pureblood vampires and the rogue vampires. The pureblood vampires have teamed up with the witches as they try to determine if there is a betrayer amongst them. Natalia is the only sister in the Benzini crime family who comes under the protection of Master Oradea when her life is threatened by a rogue shifter. The attraction between Master Oradea and Natalia is intense and the chemistry between them is off the charts. A gripping and dark tale about the battle for power and control, war, and the many faces of evil. The characters are engaging, dark, passionate, fierce, and will stop at nothing to protect their own.

I really liked this Paranormal/fantasy romance! It was a cute ya romance that kept me interested from page 1. The story is about the humans and paranormal being at war but they’re hoping to end the to suffering by making a new treaty work so the violence on both sides can stop. It the interesting storyline with funny/quirky characters. I am looking forward to reading more by this author in the future!

A Cold Day In Hell (Life Is Hell Book 5) by Naomi Valkyrie. This is the 5th book in this series and its amazing. I have really enjoyed this series even though they can be read as standalone its been great reading them in order. This is a supernatural read which is not my favorite but I’ve come to really enjoy this series. Its the story of Hadassah Engel who is an Angel and Malakhi’s sister and Jezebel the shifter. Hadassah is in trouble for sharing her power with her brother because he has been banished from Heaven. While waiting for her trouble to end she goes on the run with Jezebel because of Jezebel’s past. While on the run Hadassah learns more and more about Jezebel’s past and how being family means so much to her. This is such a good continuation of the past books and I love all of the characters. Do yourself a favor and read this series today!

I’ve read all the books of the books to this series. They are each about a different set of characters, but the characters are each in every book. This one was about Hadassah, an angel who has lost her powers and is serving time exiled from heaven and Jezebel, who can shift into dogs.
When Hadassah is told by Mal that she needs to connect with his family while she is staying with them, she thinks Jezebel is the best person to seek out thinking she will be turned away. However, Jezebel’s past has caught up to her, and she must run.
It’s a ride and a lot of angst following Jezebel and Hadassah’s story, but it’s a good one. I recommend reading the entire series so you can get to know each of the characters.

Ducky has a lot to learn about herself as she seeks to learn to control her powers and find her place in the world.
I particularly enjoyed getting to explore a variety of settings on Lord Kobreon’s travels. I’m looking forward to seeing more of this fantasy world in Happy Hump Day!
This book gets four stars from me. I’d recommend it to fans of shifter fantasy who are interested in characters who can shift into less conventional animals.

C.A. King has done it again. She has created an interesting, gripping and completely unique story that had me absolutely hooked right from the word go. I never fail to be impressed by her books and will buy them without reading the description as I know that whatever I get will be worth it. And proof of that can be found in this book.
The story is captivating. From the minute I started reading I knew this was going to be one I could not put down. I loved the characters instantly. I wanted to know more about them and wanted to see how they would continue to interconnect. The story was interesting and really matched the characters it was about. This author really does know how to write incredible books and I cannot wait to read anything else she has to offer.

Natalia’s parents are dead and the brothers are taking control of the mafia. Micheal is the head of the family and apparent ruler over what Natalia does and who she sees. She is having none of this big brother over handedness. She fights him every step of the way. At a boring business meeting, Natalia sees Master Oradea across the room and sparks fly for her but her brother warns her to stay away from him and never talk to him.
Lucas the traitor shows up and all warning goes to the wayside in a hurry. Master Oradea is charged with the safety of Natalia. Can he keep her safe? Can he not touch her? The fates have their own ideas.
Lucas is on the hunt and is scheming to get at Natalia. He wants to take down the pure bloods. Is Embry lying and on his side or is she being kept in the dungeon for no reason. The women are up in arms and giving the Master a hard time for not trusting her.
This was a great book and I enjoyed the telling of Master Oradea and Natalia. The story is slowly coming to a conclusion after 10 books. Here’s to reading book 11 and getting more answers.

Let me start off by saying that when I grabbed this book I didn’t at all realize it was the 10th book in the series! BUT BUT BUT…. it didn’t matter!! It was wonderful!! And now I MUST read the rest!! So you can TOTALLY read each as stand alone. BUT really just get them all! I know I can’t wait to read the rest. So in this 10th book your already in the heat of an on-going battle. So you get HOOKED right away!! You meet people fast and the story develops pretty quick as well. Master Oradea is hunting down a traitor Lucas. He was the right hand man of the Overmaster and because of this all the masters are weary of everyone around them. Lucas’s mate (Embry) being a huge debate among them all. It has all the vampires and their mates on edge. While a Syndicate family is making a deal with the Vampires, Lucas shows up and even threatens their sister Natalia. They didn’t want involved in the war before, but now that their sister’s life is on the line they have no choice but to trust Oradea to protect her. To do so, Oradea takes Natalia to his place. He puts her in a room right next to his. The two of them have an instant attraction. But can he keep her safe while hunting down Lucas? She can’t leave his side, but brining her into a war could get her killed! And what about Natalia’s family and her secrets? If he ever finds out will he leave her? Kill her even? Will she end up like Embry? Boy oh boy! You have to read this book! This set!! If you like vampires, witches, shifters, fated mates, passion, tension, suspense, war, magic, and just an over all good series where characters have their love stories develop around it all, this is the set for you! I picked this book to read because of the cover. It seemed to intrigue me and it seemed so different from anything I have read recently, so I figured why not. To say that I was not expecting anything that happened in this book to happen, is saying the least. I wasn’t sure what to expect with the theme of this book. I was thinking maybe post apocalyptic or something along those lines. It is not. It is actually written very currently. I did enjoy that part of the book. Let me rephrase that, I did enjoy this book. I only gave it 4 stars because I felt a lack of connection with the characters. The characters are developed but there is a miss-connect between the story and the reader. Other than that, this book had a current and new look into the paranormal. It made me want to keep turning the pages and continuing to see what was going to happen next. I was very pleasantly surprised by what was on the pages. It is a fresh concept into a genre that I was not expecting. I will continue to read the following books in this series because maybe the characters will reach out to me in the following books. I am just excited to see what comes next.

This book was right up my alley! If you are like me and are a sucker for a dark vampire romance, you should check out this series Masters Of The Consulate by Sylvia Black! It will check every box for you as well and the best part is each book can be read as a stand alone! It’s the perfect mix between sexy and supernatural. I absolutely loved it! I know I will be picking up all the other books in this series and binge reading away! Absolutely recommend!

If the cover didn’t catch my eye the plot definitely did! Wonderfully unique and a breath of fresh air! I absolutely love C.A. King and everything she creates is a masterpiece in my eyes! Just Ducky is another amazing and unexpected creation that has everything you’re looking for wrapped up with a fair amount of humor! Such a fun read, I will definitely be looking out for the next books in her Weird Shifters series! I highly recommend this book and many others by C.A. King!

Sylvia Black does it again with her newest book in the Masters of the Consulate series! Master Oradea is the 10th book in this series, and I must say that each book gets more and more exciting. In this newest book, we meet Master Oradea and the fiery Natalia, sister of the Syndicate Brothers, who does whatever she pleases no matter the consequences. Natalia would make a great addition to the group of vampire masters and their mates, but will Master Oradea be able to overcome his bias, or will he reject the pull he feels for Natalia the moment he sees her? The story continues in the chase for Lucas and his group of rebels, as they continue to stay one step ahead of the vampire masters. What a great series to read, the characters are all so dynamic, and the storyline just continues to get more and more intriguing as it continues to build toward the final battle between the people who want to make changes so all the different factions can live together in peace, and the rebels who prefer the way of the past, where the vampires dominate the world. I am so excited for book 11 to come out soon, especially as each book leaves you with a cliffhanger where you are on edge to see who the next master may be to find their mate and continue the hunt for the rebels.

A Song of Salt and Secrets is the second book in the Mythic Academy Collection by Amanda Marin. It follows Corisande – a Siren who is in school to learn to control her deadly song. On a trip to the ocean to safely sing, Corisande lures a young sailor to what should be his death. After rescuing Noah, Corisande must face the consequences of her actions; the sea demands a life payment for the siren song. This was another quick but fun story. The books are stand-alones connected by the mythos and are able to be read in any order.
