This is a great YA book. I enjoyed this sequel and look forward to the next book in the series. There was a lot of action and excitement. The character’s really developed and grew throughout the book. Lucy is a strong character who handles all that is thrown at her fairly well for her age. This is definitely worth the read.

Sweet Nightmares (The Dream World Chronicles Book 1) by Chynna Pace 4 Stars
The first thing that caught my eye was the cover. It’s gorgeous! After reading the blurb, I was intrigued. I had never read a book by this author so I decided to give her a chance. I’m so happy I did. The story was different than the usual vampire/ werewolf. It is a YA fantasy novel that incorporates polish folklore. I love when authors can use lesser known evils in their stories. I feel like I’m reading something new. Don’t get me wrong, I love a good vampire story but it’s a little overdone. This story was refreshing and original.
The characters are unique, some you love right away and others grow on you. For me, the villain was quite obvious but the author added a twist to it which I didn’t suspect. I found at times the author was a little too descriptive. For example, she didn’t need to describe every item in the paint store. There were a few paragraphs that I skimmed over. All in all, it didn’t take away too much from the story itself, which I enjoyed. Everything is tied up nicely at the end but still left open so the author can take us on more adventures. I’m looking forward to seeing where this series takes us.

Hazard in Hawaii (A Doctor Danger Mystery Book 1) by Heather Silvio is a paranormal mystery story. This interesting and intriguing storyline is full of the supernatural and danger, suspense and action and wonderful and unusual characters. They are unique, fun, and original as is the story. This adventure takes us to Hawaii where we uncover deep hidden mysteries and learn their lore’s and mythologies along the way. The story is a little predictable, but that didn’t detract from me enjoying it. This is a fun start to the series, and I liked that it features old friends from the Paranormal Talent Agency series. Heather provides stories that you don’t want to put down.

I could not get enough. This is the second installment of the Shadow Chronicles series and it is just as amazing as the first. If you thought book 1 had a huge plot twist than book two will throw you through many more! I love love love the love story between Levi and Tasha, but I love that this series goes beyond them and into the politics of Lycans Vs. Vampires. However, there are more lies behind their history than originally thought and this book expands on that. With the Hellspawn knocking on their doors will they be able to uncover the truths of such a secret history before it’s too late? Read to find out what happens next and trust me you will NOT regret it!

The God was a really good read. It was enthralling and kept me interested throughout the whole book. I have one complaint though. The sex scenes. I don’t understand how someone has transcend realms and have dream sex like that. That was very weird to me. But besides that strange occurrence throughout I really enjoyed this novel! And I think my favorite character so far in this book was Gorgonita. She was so awesome and I thought hilarious as well. I thoroughly enjoyed this sequel and can’t wait to read the next!

I want more! I just finished reading The God by Hazel Storm and I can’t tell you how much I love this world she created! I can’t wait till book 3 comes out and I’ll be really disappointed when these stories end, though they will get added to my read again rotation. The God picks up right where The Don leaves off. It’s also a bigger exploration of Vanessa and Grey’s dynamic together. I don’t want to spoil book 1 for anyone looking for a new series to read. You need to read both and in order! Throughout this book, I begin to fall more in love with Grey and why he is the way he is. Again there’s a lot of characters but it all works, every character fits. Hazel Storm may very well be my new romance author. Any questions left unanswered from book 1 will be answered throughout this book, and more will come to fruition. I think the best part is these books so far take place within the same month that has yet to end.

I absolutely loved Hazard in Hawaii by Heather Silvio. This book is such a fun read. When Sarah Danger and her boss, Jeff, are called to Hawaii to investigate what seems to be the beginnings of an outbreak, Sarah is excited to go but skeptical of the case. Once they are on the island, the team gets so much more than they bargained for.
Sarah Danger is such a likeable character, and relatable. Her humor comes through in small ways throughout the story, which I really liked. The story itself is fun, a mystery solving adventure unlike any I have read before! I can’t wait to read the next installment in the Doctor Danger series. I could easily see this series becoming some of my favorites of all time!

The God is Book two of the Her Three Immortal Series by Hazel Storm. I have thoroughly enjoyed this series and can’t wait to read the third book! The men are described with perfection and the story itself is just great. Vanessa ends up in Hell, with Grey, but he doesn’t want her there. Little does she know the reason why until she keeps spending time, making friends, visiting relatives, and having a great adventure to save a life and keep her own. Raef is still in love with her and working on finding her lineage to see what is so interesting about her. Aroz is busy keeping his mom entertained on other people instead of Vanessa. A lot happens and it is all detailed so perfectly! Please read the Don, then this book, and onto the next! 🙂

Lucy Walker is back and her life is still settling down between her near death experiences and finding out she is half-witch and half-demon and dating a Gargoyle, how much more interesting does it need to be? However, one morning when she is rudely awoken in the early hours of the morning by her best friend texting her and telling her that she is the luckiest girl alive, she is in no mood for games in her sleep deprived state, but she is hoping that she didn’t see her and Marcus on the rooftop the night before, or how he returned her fast asleep to her bedroom later on. When he asks Lucy to meet him on the roof later on, he looks miserable and Lucy has a feeling it is something to do with his mother and she was right, it turns out that she wants to reconnect, as does his father and they want him to go back to their home to meet the rest of the clan, so when he agrees to meet his father and wants Lucy to go with him, nervous as they both were, what happens while they are there and the truth behind their reason for visiting becomes clear, Marcus’s father want to kill Lucy’s and he will stop at nothing to do it, but the kicker is that if Jude dies, so will Lucy. Will they be able to keep both Jude and Lucy alive in between everything else, how will they do it and who can they call upon to help? As it becomes clear that danger is lurking around the corner, Lucy isn’t sure whether she can trust Marcus’s family knowing what she does and what would she do if he decides to go with them to visit the clan? This fantasy adventure is a rollercoaster of emotions and filled with action which will keep you hanging on until the end to find out what happens.

This book was like a breath of fresh air when it comes to mysteries. Sarah Danger, a clairempath, works as a PI in-training for her friend’s, Jeff, agency. They take a case in Hawaii that involves a mystery virus that is spontaneously heating people up from the inside. They will be investigating what caused it; whether natural or supernatural. Once on the big island, Jeff has a minor heart attack which puts him on bed rest. This leaves Sarah to step up to lead investigator. She isn’t too sure but she does what needs to be done. With the help of the rest of the team, Sarah interviews the people involved and hikes the volcano park where the scene seemed to start. Needless to say, Volcano activity; Pele; cheating; revenge; and rituals are all part of the puzzle. A lot of puzzle solving with this one. Good book that leaves you thinking. Intriguing facts about Hawaii and Hilo. Highly recommend.

I was looking forward to this book and was not disappointed. Vanessa is now in the Underworld and abandoned by Grey in his penthouse. She becomes fast friends with the daughter of Medusa who helps her see her brother Piper, her mom, and Raef in the Overworld. Vanessa finds herself attracting the attention of gods, creatures, sons of gods, and many more. She is trying to save the life of a distant relative which causes many twists and turns all the while, trying to stay under the radar of the Queen of the Underworld. This is the one person she has been warned about. If you loved book one you will love the continuing story of Vanessa and Grey.

This is the second installment in The Girl and the Raven series and was just as good as the first one in my opinion. I loved how the author not only continued the stories but decided to dive into more complex stories as well with the introduction of new characters. Her ability to draw you into the story from the first page with her perfect characterizations and descriptions of the surrounding and what is occurring is phenomenal. That was one of the things I loved the most about the first book and she didn’t disappoint with this one. Once I start I can’t put it down until I reach the end which is what happened last night as well. I look forward to picking up where this left off with book three. If you are a fan of Twilight, adult, or teen, you will love this series. Pick it up!

I just couldn’t put this book down! Pauline Gruber has brought back the gang with more characters you hate to love and love to hate and couldn’t wait to read about. I adore the chemistry between Lucy and Marcus as I couldn’t stop cheering them on! This book has taken me on quite the wild ride but I enjoyed every minute of it! I highly recommend this.

This time around we meet Marcus’s family. Who we aren’t sure have the greatest of intentions at heart. Especially after learning they abandoned him at such a young age.
This book in the series is full of twists and turns and supernatural action. I am anxiously anticipating the next in this trio!

I sped through this book. This is the second in the series and literally picks up where the last one left off. I thought the first book had me hooked, the second one has me obsessed. I need the third one like yesterday. The plot focuses harder on Vanessa and Grey this go-round. I love how she is literally the only splash of color in his life. The only complaint that I have is that I read it so fast and now how to wait for the last book to be released.

Hazard in Hawaii is the first book in the Doctor Danger Mystery series by Heather Silvio. This is such a fun little mystery which was all the more interesting with the use of paranormal and supernatural elements that were interwoven through it. I have read most of Ms. Silvio’s books now and know I can count on her to always deliver a story that will engross me from beginning to end- and this book was no different- in fact it’s taken the top spot as my favourite read from her, so far. I loved the characters, the intriguing story, and all the clever little touches that Ms. Silvio sprinkled throughout her story. So, if you love a cozy mystery, paranormal threads, a tropical paradise setting, and a fun plot then you really won’t want to miss this book.

This is the second book in this series and it was great! I love Lucy and Marcus together they really love each other and won’t let anyone or anything get in the way of it. Lucy is half witch and just wants to live her life as a teenage girl in Chicago with her friends but her dad Jude still seems to get in the way at every turn. She is starting her training whilst trying to juggle her school work, time with friends and being with Marcus but maybe it is all too much for one teenage witch? and now to top it off Marcus’s family have arrived and are shaking things up. Can’t wait for book 3.

Island mystery with a sidekick of fun! What a fun ride. The mystery kept me guessing and the twists and turns kept me on my toes. I really enjoyed the blend of paranormal, mythology and cozy mystery. The characters were so quirky and really kept the story flowing along. The way that Sarah describes her empathic abilities and how she uses them was fascinating. I highly recommend this for teens and up.

Hazard in Hawaii (A Doctor Danger Mystery BOOK 1) by Heather Silvio is an amazing, intriguing, one of a kind story that will leave you guessing until the very end. The plot is wonderfully woven to keep the reader on the edge of their seats, the characters are just as equally amazing and Ms. Silvio really captured a lot of great Hawai’ian lore and culture. I love how there is a paranormal twist and while I thought early on I had this book all figured out I was definitely wrong. So if your looking for a great book with a littler paranormal, and a little mystery this weekend then I highly recommend Hazard in Hawaii (A Doctor Danger Mystery BOOK 1) by Heather Silvio.

Forbidden Wolf is the first book in the series The Shadow Chronicles by CR Robertson. This is a paranormal story with vampires and Lycans. The storyline is captivating. I found myself flying through the pages because I wanted to know what was happening next. The characters are fully developed and complicated. These characters made the book. Vampires and Lycans are enemies and not to be in a relationship. That is until Tasha, a vampire, and Levi, a Lycan are in a relationship. They are seeking out answers to why they were kept apart, especially since their union could save both of their kinds. Will Tasha and Levi’s relationship become a problem or will it be the answer that they are looking for? I highly recommend this book to find out if vampires and Lycans can be bedfellows.

This is my first time reading this author and it will not be the last! I loved the story from the get go!
Sarah, the main character, is so down to earth and relatable (sans the paranormal stuff) that I couldn’t help but relate to her! Her colleagues are just as easily relatable. I enjoyed how the author wrote the mystery like I was standing right beside Sarah watching everything happen with her. She described the areas she was at and transitioned well from one place to the next!
This is a clean read with no strong language or intimate moments. It did talk about other characters having affairs, but no details. I will be keeping an eye out for more Dr. Danger books since Sarah is technically “not yet!” a doctor!

This is the second book in the Her Three Immortals series. I love the support characters in this book, a mirror with an attitude that can let you see loved ones and a pillow that is a caterpillar that eats everything. Vanessa signs a contract with the Don of the Underworld to give up her life to save her brother. She didn’t think about the people left behind that would mourn her so deeply. Including her boyfriend, who is also a brother to Grey, the jerk of the Underworld. She lands in Grey’s apartment who doesn’t want her there. Vanessa is very caring woman who is trying to get a handle on the Underworld. Grey has a soul connection to Vanessa that he fights hard against. I love how open Vanessa is to all the weird things in her new world. I really like this series and the ending leave me wanting the next book soon!

I thoroughly enjoyed this cozy mystery novel with a paranormal twist which had me hooked from start to finish. I loved the heroine of the story Sarah Danger, who is working towards her PhD and working as a Private Investigator Assistant. Sarah travels to the Big Island of Hawaii when locals begin to fall ill and one man has already died having been boiled alive from an unexplained fever-illness. To start with Sarah is just excited to have flown to a tropical paradise with her boss and thinks that there will be a perfectly good scientific reason behind this illness, but she starts to think that maybe it’s not a scientific explanation they are looking for. When her boss has a heart attack Sarah is forced into a leadership role and relies on her background in comparative mythology and her empath abilities to solve this intriguing case and save lives. This is an enjoyable and engaging supernatural mystery with a fast paced storyline which has plenty of action, plot twists and quirky characters to keep any reader happily turning the pages. I loved Sarah as the main character and thought that she bought the story together and I felt like I was solving the mystery alongside her. The descriptive narrative really bought the beautiful setting of Hawaii to life and really set the seen of the mystery. I enjoyed learning about Hawaiian folklore which was sprinkled throughout the story. This was a fun read and a great introduction to Sarah Danger and the start of this new series by an author who is new to me, and I look forward to book two.

Hazard in Hawaii by Heather Silvio is the first book in the A Doctor Danger Mystery series. This is a brilliant start to a new series and I fully enjoyed the book from start to finish. I really loved the main character of this book. Even before I started reading I got the sense that I would connect with her and I definitely did. She was so engaging and relatable. She definitely enhanced the whole story. This isn’t the first book that I have read by this author and I like how this felt completely different to her other series. I could see the clear writing style but the story and the characters were all their own. I really enjoyed this book and I can’t wait to see what the rest of the series brings.

Sweet Nightmares by Chynna Pace is the first book in the Dream World Chronicles. This is a well developed and great YA fantasy story that keeps the pages turning. I liked how the author has tried to put a twist on this usual topic to create something new and exciting. At times I think the story needed to be pushed a little more however the whole idea is great and made for an interesting read. The characters fit the story well and they seemed to grow together. This is a new author to me and I enjoyed the overall writing style. I think the story, and the twists, were set up well and added to the details. This was a great introduction to this author and I can’t wait to see what happens in book two.

Whilst I do like paranormal it’s not my usual genre but something about this book really stood out for me, the cover, the synopsis everything just made me want to pick it up and I am SO glad that I did – it was an amazing read! I was sucked in (no pun intended) from the very first page, the characters were exciting to read about and I loved the dual POV. The pace and flow of the story was amazing and the chemistry between Salvatore and Lucianna was off the charts! I liked that it wasn’t your typical vampire story, it had a nice original feel to it! I am so excited to read the second book in the series!! I cannot recommend this book enough!! It’s a definite one click for me!

This is the first book in the Dream World Chronicles. It is a young adult fantasy adventure. I found the book a bit slow going in the beginning and had a hard time connecting to the characters but as the story progressed I found it an enjoyable read. There is loads of paranormal and supernatural occurances. And a shock realisation when you finally realise that nightmares are make believe after all. The stuff of nightmares actually exist.
When Alex and her sister lose their mother in a car accident they are sent to live with their grandmother who they have never met. Strange things start to happen as they realise that their grandmother isn’t all that she seems and that there are secrets about their family that they have yet to uncover. Now Alex is set on the path to uncover those secrets and face the dangers that go bump in the night.
It was an entertaining read and I look forward to reading the next one.

I must say that I love young adult genre books, especially fantasies. I hadn’t heard of this book before but noticed in on the library shelf. The cover caught my eye, and it was a recommended by one of the staff picks for the month. I loved it. I felt engulfed in the story from the beginning as the author does a wonderful job of describing the characters and the world the live in. I love her way of using all types of paranormal characteristics in the book, especially dream catchers. This isn’t something I am used to reading about in books but was glad to see that she decided to use them in this story. I look forward to picking up the next installment in this series to find out what happens next.

This is the first book in a new series for this author which I enjoyed from start to finish. This is a suspenseful story that I found to be fast paced and hard to put down. I enjoyed how the characters were connectable and how they kept the story engaging. The author’s use of details not only kept me turning pages but also brought the story to life. I enjoyed watching the growth in this story and wanting to know what happened next. This is a story about a group of locals becoming ill from something unknown and an assistant investigator who is on the case. Sarah is excited when she is called to work on a case with her boss. She is faced with using her abilities to solve a case that could just turn deadly for her. Will she be able to solve this case in time or will she be next? I really enjoyed what she brought to the story and how the secondary characters are supportive of her character. The twists and turns had me second guessing in parts. This is a great suspenseful story that I would highly recommend.
