Laugh out loud paranormal fun!
Absolutely adored this book. So much fun to read and so many lol moments. The writing is easy to read, the characters brilliant and the story fabulously executed. I was taken along from the first page and engaged right until the end. If you love a mix of paranormal from Greek gods to shifters and everything in between, I recommend this book. I can’t wait to read more from this author.

The thoughts of him with us at Mardi Gras, what could go wrong. Carrie Pulkinen has done it again! I don’t think I’ll ever look at the gods of them with us in the same way again. When Kat, a messenger, meets Hermes, the god of messengers, her life will never be the same. This book is full of fun and humor.

Cursed Touch (Broderick Coven Series Book 4) by AJ Renee – Review by Lorrene Huisman

Cursed Touch (Broderick Coven, #4)Cursed Touch by A.J. Renee
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This was my first read by this author as well as a jump into the series (this is book 4) and this book was beyond words can describe of how good it was! The writing was perfectly, done and the way the words and things that happened flowed though out the story, it was impossible not feel that character connection or that feeling of holding tightly onto words wondering what would happen as the pages turned!

First off the two main characters instantly gipped me for who they were and things I did not know about them! Carter was a character that I easily could have fallen in love with in real life. He was a gifted healer more than ways of just medicine. He had a special gift to heal, and it truly made his heart flow as helping people was very much on his priority list. It made him feel whole and complete. But, perhaps there was room for more than just healing patients he met at his hospital?

Bring forward Vanessa. A delightful character with a curious mind I would say, who lands in the hospital where patients are in the care of Carter. She is there with another patient who truly had what was thought to be a dog bite. It was far from that though. She was a normal human species and did not carry any gif that was above average. Though she sold jewelry and she loved what she did for a living. Where she is from though, things are more in line with what would be paranormal. Though for the longest time it seems she did not suspect it. But, Vanessa was as curious as a modern day Alice In Wonderland…she dug for information on the odd things she had going on in her town, but perhaps some doors are left closed? Perhaps some things want to be left unknown, and those who dare to push past those boundaries will find themselves in grave danger?

Carter and Vanessa had both intrigued one another in many ways just by their meet and conversation in the hospital. Believe me I was screaming in my head for them just to go at it! Though both of them had different boundaries… Boyfriend, or work etc. But maybe the universe gives guidance or signs when we at least expect it? Perhaps the lives that enter and leave us in our life time have a bigger plan than just a random bump in? Perhaps there always has been more to it?

She learns through her findings the life she thought she knew was anything but! I could only imagine what she was going though and having a lot to progress in terms of information. In realty she learns that the person who is her closest friend for as long as she can remember, is not of a human species at all! This truly overwhelmed her and there was a lot to process, I sure would have needed some strong wine to process a lot of this information!

As things progress, Vanessa has basically put herself in the line of harm. And truth is can she be protected for the danger she had brought on herself based on her own curiosity? The caring tender touch that Carter gives her, is it enough for her to evade what could happen to her? Is there more than just a caring healer? Was she destined for something beyond her imagination? Is she truly human or something else that not even she believed to be possible in this world or even a paranormal world?

Really fast and easy read! Was a good flow of words and events and tying all ends and things together. I loved the characters I got to meet and interreact with! They were all fun and interesting in different ways. The characters alone and the ties into the truth (as I expected there was more than meets the eye) when it was in relation to Vanessa was very intriguing and I wanted answers. I was saddened when it ended as I wanted to spend more time in the story as well with the characters. Was truly enjoyable!

Loved this author’s writing and loved this book. Amazing work as well as character and story development. Highly recommend picking a copy up and reading it! Once you TOUCH this book you wont be able to put it down. Take my word for it!

Loved it truly! Amazing work again to this truly gifted author!!!

FURY OF CONVICTION (The Dragonfury Series Book 2) by Coreene Callahan – Review by Kerry Carr

Fury of Conviction (Dragonfury Short Story Collection, #2)Fury of Conviction by Coreene Callahan
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This was a really good read. I like the supernatural element in the story revolving around dragons and the romance between Hamersveld and Natalie is really special.

Natalie has been kidnapped to use as part of a breeding programme to help create more baby dragons.
Hamersveld is one of the dragons in the pack. When he sees Natalie he vows to rescue her. However he can’t take her as his own due to the fact he can’t produce babies.
Still he needs to rescue her and when he does the connection between them is amazing. So fully committed to each other it would make for a perfect ending. However things aren’t that good. Natalie has to leave before the rest of Hamersveld’s pack come and take her back to the breeding programme.
With both their hearts breaking it is a classic story of if you love someone you have to let them go. But will this be the end for Natalie and Hamersveld or just the beginning.

FURY OF CONVICTION (The Dragonfury Series Book 2) by Coreene Callahan – Review by Angela Hayes

Fury of Conviction (Dragonfury Short Story Collection, #2)Fury of Conviction by Coreene Callahan
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Fury of Conviction is the second book in the Dragonfury Short Story Collection by Coreene Callahan. Who doesn’t love a great dragon shifter story- I know I do! So, it was never any question that I would snap up a copy of this book the moment I saw it in my notifications.
Coreene Callahan is a ‘new-to-me’ author and I am really baffled as to why I haven’t come across her books before now, because after doing a little stalking- er, um, I mean research, I discovered that she has written a slew of Dragonfury books, and as I mentioned before, I LOVE dragon shifter stories, so I am kicking myself that I have been missing out all this time, and I hate missing out on good books lol….
Anyway, I digress, back to my review. This is a great little paranormal romance, with DRAGON SHIFTERS 😊, fantasy, kidnapping, drama, agendas, chemistry, and action. It was a great introduction to Ms. Callahan’s style, and definitely gave me a taste for her work. The only issue I have is that I wish it had been longer (this is a novella length quick and easy read) as there were aspects of the story I would like to have explored in greater detail. It really made me curious about the pack and the Dragonfury ‘world’- so I will definitely be going back to explore the rest of the Dragonfury books/series- as there seems to be quite a lot of full length novels there for me to sink my teeth into…. so stay tuned.

Thank you, Coreene Callahan!

I like how the author weaves the threads of the story through the different characters into web of intrigue.. Great foundation building for the series of stories to come. Not a regular of YA Paranormal Romance, I enjoyed the sweet romantic suspense of first love amidst all the adventure of learning who she really is.
Lucy is a girl that’s had to stand on her own for years, but now she finds herself surrounded by a family and champions she never knew she had. This is my first read by Pauline Gruber and I won’t hesitate to read the next installment!

This was such a good story. It was an easy read also.
The tale between Natalie and Hamersveld is very well told with the action and romance and, very well detailed for the shortness of the book.
From being kidnapped to kinda rescued, Natalie is having a inner battle with her feelings for her savior. Should she or shouldn’t she? That is her question.
Hamersveld is love struck with Natalie from the very beginning of the story! But he has to defy his leader to get to her. Will he? Who knows!

This was my first book by Coreene Callahan. But it won’t be the last!

AJ Renee does it again with Cursed Touch the fourth book in the Broderick Coven. It is captivating and engaging paranormal witch romance. The stories just keep on getting better with each one and this is my fav of the series so far. AJ weaves tangled webs that you are easily ensnared by when reading one of her works. She makes it easy to get lost in the story because her world building and writing style makes it so. I was so engrossed and lost in the story that it was over before I wanted it to be. With witches and magic, mystery and fated mates, protective heroes, and lots of chemistry it is a winner, and you should get a copy today.

Fury of Conviction by Coreene Callahan is the is the second book in the “Villains” of the Dragonfury series. This is quieter a short story but is full of action and excitement. The author has certainly figured out how to fit a lot into a small book. This book can be read in its own without losing any enjoyment.
This is a new author to me and I really enjoyed how she conveyed everything in her writing. Although I finished the book quicker than I expected I did not feel like I had missed one in anything. It is a very fast paced book so it felt like I was taken on a whirlwind journey. I enjoyed the writing style and thought the characters were great to read about.

FURY OF CONVICTION (The Dragonfury Series Book 2) by Coreene Callahan – Review by Heather Simmons

Fury of Conviction (Dragonfury Short Story Collection, #2)Fury of Conviction by Coreene Callahan
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

When first reading this book, I was thinking that it was just another dragon shifter book. But the author did a really nice job transporting the reader to Lake Chelan. I live in the Pacific Northwest and she did a decent job describing the surroundings and definitely made the reader “feel” at peace with those surroundings. I just really wish the characters had the same description and depth. The reader is transported to a serene environment and then quickly thrust into a predicament that the main character, Sveld struggles with but ultimately had a hand in creating. We find out quickly about his attraction to and attentiveness to Natalie, but again, not much backstory into who she is other than a person who ended up in a really bad situation. The story is novella-sized and a fun quick read. There are moments of action, then peace, and moments of steamy romance. A good combo for a quick read.

I am curious about what happens next. I think I would be more drawn to “what happens next” if the characters’ stories and relationships were drawn out more and given more attention. I thought the premise of the story was a great idea. I found the book to be missing the depth of character. I do, however, think there is a lot of opportunity for potential growth to develop the characters more.

Thank you Ms Callahan, I enjoyed the quick read.

FURY OF CONVICTION (The Dragonfury Series Book 2) by Coreene Callahan – Review by Shelly Kittell

Fury of Conviction (Dragonfury Short Story Collection, #2)Fury of Conviction by Coreene Callahan
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The conflict in the book keeps you on the edge of your seat. Hamersveld is 1/2 human and 1/2 dragon. He is torn at the ritualistic experiments used to make babies for their species using human women. He is attracted to one woman, Natalie, who he feels he must rescue and help. Natalie is pretty strong and independent. The conflict for power is strong. Sveld, as he is known, is screwed because of his attraction to her. The chemistry is there and a surprise is waiting. This book is so full of power. Natalie’s willpower to survive is strong and thriving even though she doesn’t quite know where she is or when she was taken. Ivar is the bad guy and Sveld is just trying to protect Natalie, which is when we see his inner battle between bad and good. He’s just trying to protect those he cares about. Ivar is his friend but Natalie is the woman he cares about. It’s the classic love story.

This is the fourth book in this series which is just as great as the previous three books. If you haven’t picked them up yet, I highly suggest you do. This is an author I have enjoyed from the first book I picked up of hers. They are fast paced, engaging and have characters that are connectable. This book is no different. This is a paranormal romance story that I had a hard time putting down. I was pulled into the story from the beginning by the characters and what they brought to the story. They not only bring the story to life on each page but they made it fun to read as well. This is a story about Carter who has a profession in medical cause that is what he is good at, healing people. He had no idea how his life would change the day she walked into the ER he was working. Vanessa is a curious person and when the supernatural world realizes just how curious she is, things could change for her. Will Carter be able to protect her or does fate have something else in mind. I really enjoyed this book. I highly recommend this book and this author.

Nite Fire: Chain Reaction AUDIO BOOK by C.L. Schneider – Review by Shelly Kittell

This was my first dragon shifter tale. Dahlia Nite is pretty kickass. I love how she “lies” to Her sidekick, Evans, to get out of him following her. She is supposed to protect humanity from the monsters but those lines are blurring. She wonders if its a virus or if somethings is triggering people. The narrator has a really fantastic voice for this story. She sets the tone with just the right attitude and cockiness that I think fits Dahlia. The adventures in the story are non-stop. Highly recommend in audio form as the narration makes the book even better.

Nite Fire: Chain Reaction AUDIO BOOK by C.L. Schneider – Review by Kerry Baker

Nite Fire: Chain Reaction by C.L. Schneider is the second book in the series and a brilliant follow up to book 1. It took no time at all to fall completely back in with these characters. The relationships that had been built in book one have easily continued on into this book.

I was so glad to find it is the same person narration the story too. The enthusiasm and excitement that she evokes with her narration is just amazing. I definitely think I enjoyed it even more thanks to that. I love the mix of supernatural and natural in this series, it has been done in such a believable way. This is a brilliant series and I cannot wait for the next book.

Right away this story grabs your attention with our main character. Lucy is just a 16 year old trying to cope with her life.

She is then thrown into a turmoil. As she ends up living with her great uncles, she learns she is not of this world. Which she already had a clue to.

This story had wonderful fantasy elements to it that I don’t believe we see often enough. It wasn’t all fairies and mortals. No, it was something much different. I cannot wait to get my hands on the rest of this series. And would recommend it to anyone who truly loves a fresh feel to a Young Adult series.

I love everything and anything related to Greek Mythology! This was my first read by Carrie Pulkinen and I thoroughly enjoyed it. A fresh take on the Greek Gods as they live their lives in the modern world today. Hermes the God of thieves has met his match in the sexy Calico shift Kat who also happens to be a thief.
Upon Kat’s sister dying she attempts to rectify her guilt by going to the Underworld to apologize, and there is only one way to be able to do that. Kat sets out to steal Hermes keys and unexpectedly his heart. This sets off a chain of events that lead to laughter, romance, and plenty of heart stealing told only in the way a sexy Greek God could tell it.

Sign Steal Deliver (Gods of Thunder MC) by Carrie Pulkinen is quite possibly one of the best paranormal romances I have read in a long time. Ms. Pulkinen gives us beautiful scenery, great characters, drama, mystery, and more. Kat out main female lead is beautiful, mysterious, and mischievous. Mean while Hermes out main male is the God of speed, thieves and so much more. This romance had me furiously flipping the pages trying to see what happens next because personally I couldn’t wait to see how it ended. So if your looking for a great paranormal romance then I highly recommend Sign Steal Deliver (Gods of Thunder MC) by Carrie Pulkinen.

After leaving Olympus and retiring the gods decide to form a motorcycle club based in Seattle. They decide to take a “relaxing” vacation to Mardi Gras to see the parade the mortals (humans) put on every year depicting the gods and how they think the look. Upon arriving to their vacation house Hades realizes he forgot to pay Medusa. In a desperate attempt to get her payment so she doesn’t release all the souls from the underworld he asks Hermès to deliver her money. Hermès turns him down and calls a supernatural delivery service called NOGS. Enter Kathryn, a calico cat shifter, whose only regret in life is the way she treated her sister on her deathbed. In order to honor her sisters wishes she vows to do honest work and quit her thieving ways… That is until she realizes who the strange people in the vacation house really are. She has Hermès falling head over heels in love with her and letting his guard down. So begins a super fun, ridiculously cute paranormal love story. I really loved this book. It really deserves all the stars. Between the thieving, kidnapping, and memory wiping to save their butts I was laughing out loud and enjoying this book immensely so much so that I blew through it in a day and a half. I’d definitely recommend reading it.
