Hermes is the god of couriers, travel and thievery and he is the best at each of those things too, but he still loves a good vacation like nobody else, so when he convinces his friends to come with him to Mardi Gras in New Orleans for a couple of weeks, he is only thinking of enjoying himself and seeing the sites, as well as experiencing Mardi Gras in person, what is there not to like? Kat Gatakis is a young woman who works for a supernatural courier service in New Orleans as she tries to get away from her past occupation as a cat burglar, not to mention that she is a shifter who is literally a cat, she is trying to stay on the straight and narrow so she can keep a promise, however, when she goes on one of her more risky jobs, she unexpectedly runs into a handsome man. As soon as Hermes lays eyes on the courier he has arranged to do a job for him, he cannot take them off of her, he finds her beauty enticing and her attitude even more so, especially when she shows how light fingered she can be to a group of obnoxious young men in the process, but when she unwittingly dares the god of speed to a dare, she has let herself in for more than she bargained for.

As Hermes takes up the challenge offered by Kat, he is surprised to find that she isn’t as affected by his divine status as everyone else, he also can’t help but be completely honest with her and tell her things no mortal should know, however, what he doesn’t know is that he has just spilled a secret which Kat realises is a possible solution to a problem has been longing to solve, a way to contact her sister who passed away so that she can ask for forgiveness and return something she should have given her on her deathbed. As they complete the job together, Kat is already hatching a plan to steal Hermes’s special key and complete her mission, what she didn’t bank on is that she is attracted to the man and cannot deny her physical and emotional reactions to him.

As Kat is devising her plan, Hermes feels like he needs confirmation that how he feels for Kat is the real deal and not just some physical need for a fling, however, as things start to develop between them, she pulls a stunt which both impresses and annoys him, especially when he has to find the thing she stole and has a deadline in which to do it, if he doesn’t succeed, both of their lives are on the line, but things are more complicated than they seem and Hermes has to make some choices, as does Kat in order for them to achieve all their goals, but will they manage to do this, or will their time run out? This is a paranormal romance filled with comedy and misadventure which will keep you hooked while they sort out the tangled web surrounding them.

Kathryn, Kat, is a feline shifter working for NOGS, a delivery service, in New Orleans. When the Olympic gods descend upon NOLA and need a package delivered, NOGS is called. Kat meets Hermes and together they deliver the package to Medusa. After she knows who is really is, she concots a plan to steal his caduceus so she can take something special to her sister in the underworld.
Opinion
This book is the second in the series. I have not read the first but liked this one enough that I am going to seek it out. You can read this one, however, and not be confused.
The book was fast paced and pretty hilarious. The characters find themselves in interesting positions as well as situtations that invoke sexual humor. I love the idea of there being all kinds of different supernaturals in New Orleans and Carrie Pulkinen pulls the book off wonderfully.

This is a very fun little romantic comedy that I devoured in one sitting. The plot was good, and brought lots of opportunity for magic, tricks, and adventure. Hermes is a great character, with just as much good looks, intelligence, and hubris as you’d expect of a God of Olympus (or Seattle). Kat is equally impressive, a trained cat burglar, and more courageous than her messenger compatriots. Their romance blossomed over treachery and practical jokes, which was good fun for the reader. The story was entertaining and easy to read. A great comfort read.

Another successful novel by Carrie Pulkinen. I really enjoyed the story of Hermes and Kat. It was a story full of action, laughs, and romance. Although Kat and Hermes had some obstacles to overcome, their love for each other allowed them to succeed and their happy ever after was achieved. I look forward to reading more from Carrie Pulkinen.

Jezebel and Hadassah are an unexpected relationship. Hadassah is a grounded angel and Jezebel a shifter. Their relationship is cut short when Jezebel is abducted by a necromancer. Apparently, Jezebel has a past where her father gave her to the necromancer to form an alliance. To rescue Jezebel, Haddie seals her fate.

This was my first book by Carrie Pulkinen and omg what took me so long. If you love Greek mythology and crazy twists, this is the book for you. It had me on the edge of my seat the entire time. Hermes the god of thievery has his own caduceus stolen by someone he felt he was falling for. Was it all a set up? Was Kat really working for Pan or was Pan getting over on both Hermes and Kat? Great story and great writing by an amazing author!

I have read a few of this author’s books and once again I was not let down. I really like how the author brings a light hearted flow to the story. I was just not wanting to put this book down.

I love her paranormal settings for the books and unique style. The characters really come right off of the pages and right into one’s imagination. I like the chemistry between the characters and the right amount of drama. I will definitely read more from this author in future.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I thoroughly enjoyed this quirky, funny paranormal romantic comedy inspired by the Greek Gods. As usual Pulkinen delivers an original romance with great characters and a unique storyline in a wonderful setting. She also provides the readers with plenty of romance, some steamy scenes and laugh out loud moments, with some drama and twists along the way to keep you hooked and happily turning the pages. Hermes the God of thieves meets and falls in love with Calico shifter and ex thief Kat Gataki whilst he’s on holiday, having a trip to Mardi Gras. Kat has a plan to steal the key to the underworld so she can apologise to her deceased sister, but this means stealing the key from Hermes. “No one steals from the god of thieves” at least that’s what Hermes thought before meeting Kat who stole not only the key but also his heart. Hermes then has only twelve hours to find the love of his life or they will both be spending eternity in the underworld. This novel had me hooked from start to finish and I loved it, it was an exciting and engaging read.

I don’t normally read books about mythology – romance or not. This book, however, was fantastic. I was pulled in from the first page and was thoroughly invested all the way to the end. I didn’t want the story to be over! Hermes, the retired God of speed and thieves, met his match when he suggested using a courier service rather than be the messenger boy of the gods while on vacation. Kat is a feline shifter with a ton of grief and pain sitting on her shoulders. Her father is a burglar and her mother and sister are no longer in the picture. This book had wonderful interactions with the Gods and a love story that made my heart melt. I’m a sucker for a happy ending, especially when there’s chaos thrown in the mix. Carrie Pulkinen did a wonderful job building up these characters and telling this story. I loved the storyline, the happy ever after, and the growing hope inside of me that there is more to tell as time goes on. I look forward to reading everything else this author has to offer.

Sign Steal Deliver (Gods of Thunder MC #2) by Carrie Pulkinen is such a fantastic Paranormal Romantic Comedy- with Greek Gods, shifters, magic, fantasy, humour, witches, chemistry, romance, danger, drama, and plenty of fun.
I love everything Carrie Pulkinen writes, so when I saw this pop up in my notifications I squealed, grabbed myself a copy and jumped right in. And let me say, Ms. Pulkinen didn’t disappoint!! I was swept up in a really great, fun, and intriguing adventure.
What do you get when you mix Greek Gods with MC, add a minxy shifter, stealing from the god of thieves magic, the Underworld, danger, spice, high stakes, and a ticking clock? Well, this book really is worth your time and money to find out.
I loved Kat and Hermes- I was invested in their story right from the beginning. Carrie Pulkinen is such a master of paranormal romance. I really can’t wait to see what she does next!

Thank you, Carrie Pulkinen!

Carrie Pulkinen is such a brilliant writer! I stumbled across her series New Orleans Nocturnes that completely sucked me in. Soon after I got lost in the Haunted Ever After series and found Shift Creek. So when I found this book, I just had to sink my teeth into it.
Sign Steal Deliver isn’t my usual read but I’m a sucker for Greek mythology and anything by Carrie Pulkinen hasn’t disappointed me and still hasn’t.
The story follows two characters named Kat, a cat shifter and Hermes, the God of Thieves and their entanglement. Their story is filled with adventure, lust, comedy and mystery. Definitely a fantastic read and highly recommend!

I really loves this story. I have loved all the  books by this author but this one was my favourite. I love the twist of Greek gods and shapeshifters. As well as the romance there is also an element of danger and suspense which makes this book so enjoyable to read.

Hermes  is the god of theives among other things. He has lived a long life but never felt a connection with anyone. That is until Kat comes along.

Kat is a shapeshifter  and is a cat burglar. She meets Hermes when she’s sent to do a job of delivering a message to the underworld. What she does expect is to meet Hermes and fall for him. However no matter how much she likes him, Hermes is her key to getting into the underworld to see her sister.
Can she put her feelings to the side and steal from Hermes?

When Hermes finds his key stolen, Zeus and Hades give him 12 hours to recover the key else they are going after Kat themselves.

Can Hermes forgive Kats deception and theft? Can he get to her and protect her from Zeus and Hades? And is Kat’s feelings for him real or just a way to get to his Key?

Gods of Olympus, now Seattle, with an MC club, is such a fantastic idea. Hermes is the God of speed and thieves. His ego is pretty large. Kathryn of NOG enters his life to deliver a package to the underworld for Hades. Trouble with a capital T starts on page 1 and just continues until the end of the book. Kat is a calico shifter and a thief herself. She is on the path to redemption but the knots in her lifeline are numerous according to The Fates. Hermes feels she is the one. Pan, the nemesis, is such a schmuck. He gets what’s coming to him and it will surprise you. Kat and Hermes find that they are both strong individual but together they are much stronger and make a great team. Wonderful humor scattered throughout, innuendos that will roll your eyes, and lots of fun adventure. Highly recommend.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This book is a mix of it all.
First off – the only thing I can think to compare this book too is an inside look of the Volturi from twilight in the best ways. We follow Luce as she goes undercover into the Vampire Overmasters Casino/Club. Although, her mission to figure out where kidnapped girls all around the city, becomes complicated when Salvatore Overmaster sets his sights on Luce. The tension between them, and the very short timeline they have to save the women. A situation causing Luce to be turned a vampire herself, having to learn about her powers on the go. The sexual tension in this book was SO GOOD & the author build up was amazing – and totally rewarding in the end😏

Four Stars

Nite Fire: Chain Reaction is the second book in the Nite Fire series by C.L. Schneider. This series should be listened to in order because there was so much background information that the story will be better understood. Plus the first book was wonderful and you wouldn’t want to miss out. The story continues with Dahlia Nite and Alex Creed investigating a mysterious illness plaguing the city. This story is full of action and suspense and will leave you on the edge of your seat as they try to solve the mystery. The characters are very well developed and the story flows well. I highly recommend this book series and author, especially if you love paranormal.

This, like the first book, is narrated by Cassandra King. She really brings the characters to life. Her voice is easy on the ears, and I enjoyed this book from beginning to end.

This was a good story with a fun character twist on Greek Gods. I think we as readers can sometimes understand and connect with characters more if they are familiar to us, most people know of Greek Gods; even if we don’t know all about them we can get a better feel for the characters by having a base knowledge set already.

I love how she gave each God an attitude and quirks while still following a general guideline about the God from myths. She truly made them her own.

The plot was fun and had its twists and turns. While I knew it would have a happy ending I liked that it didn’t take a predictable route to get there. I love the motorcycle twist as well! It was a nice read, I’m interested to see the author’s other books.

Master Descallia is the first book in the Masters of the Consulate series by Sylvia Black. Sylvia is a new author to me, and I was hoping this paranormal tale would be enjoyable. But what I got was so much more. This dark Vampire romance story instantly drew me in and hooked in deep, so much so that I was suddenly lost to the beauty of the harsh world that Sylvia had created right from the start. It is fast paced, intense, full of suspense and certainly sizzling. You know it’s a good story when you see your husband standing there waving his arms at you because you are so lost in the story that you didn’t hear him the first two times. I wish it were a little longer.

As a huge fun of everything Greek Mythology, I really enjoyed Carrie Pulkinen’s second book in the Gods of Thunder MC collection Sign Steal Deliver, a collection of books that are each by a different author. I’ve enjoyed reading books with a MC focus in the past, and Carrie Pulkinen reminded me why I enjoy them so much!

In a not-so-typical romance novel, Hermes finds himself being targeted by a common thief, whose reasons to found me sympathizing with her and being an overall fan of hers from the very beginning. Hermes was a delight to read about, his character funny and his tricks making the book an easy read. Kat was a calico cat shifter, which was interesting to read about, as I had never read about an ability like that.

I have never read a Greek Mythology book with a focus on Hermes, so it was a refreshing new point of view on Greek Gods to see things from his perspective. I have only read one Greek Mythology romance novel before as well, and in reading this book have found a new favorite subgenre in one of my favorite genres. I definitely plan to go back and read the first book in the collection, and plan to read the rest of the collection soon!

Just as good as the others in this series.
Travel along with Jezebel a shifter/demon and Hadassah a fallen angel/healer as they try to run from those who are chasing Jezebel.
Hadassah is trying to make friends as Malakhi has requested of her and Jezebel is the one she has chosen to befriend first.
Now the whole family is trying to find Jezebel as she has been snatched. This book is full of twists and turns and suspense. This whole series has been a new to me experience as I don’t read much in this genre, but I am truly enjoying them all.

Sign Steal Deliver (Gods of Thunder MC)Sign Steal Deliver by Carrie Pulkinen
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I have always been a fanatic for anything pertaining to Greek Mythology. So when I saw this book, I was instantly drawn to it and knew this was one I had to read!

From the cover to the character introductions I was basically hooked! To note from the start, I personally loved how the authors writing style was. they did a great way to keep the reader invested, and the humorous lines and events was more than needed to keep me reading. It was super well put together and there were moments I certainly did not expect!

Hermes is the God of messenger. He meets a cat burglar named Kat who has some deep personal reasons to which she feels in her heart she must rob him…I found her reasons heartfelt and convincing.

But in truth the most convincing of all was when thunder struck and Kat and Hermes first laid eyes on one another. The passion and what was there, was more than needed to be said, something struck when they met at the event they were both at, which were Mardi Gras. And there was no denying what happened even if both of them were so bent on not believing what they experienced.

As things lead on it is Hermes so seems to have completely fallen for Kat. She seems to be everything he ever dreamed of, or is she?

As things continue for more of a drastic turn. Kat succeeds in what she came to do. But was the costs really that worth it in the end? Fate had bought these two together, but will fate decide they are not destined for one another?

As more went on I fell more in love with this book and the adventure Kat and Hermes had to undergo. It was truly impossible to be cheering and wanting to know what would happen next for these two souls, or do I date to say fate crossed lovers?

The writing again was amazing! Was an easy flow and had moments full of love and laughter. And besides my love for Mythology I was entranced and fell head over feels in with the characters and events of this book. I loved it truly, and I loved especially it goes to show true love always conquers all 🙂 I will be sure reading the other books in the series, with a happy dancing heart

Amazing story and book. Truly is a worth while read 🙂

At first, I was not sure about Haddie..her character was a bit…stern…but understanding and finding out why…I can truly understand. With Jezebel, you do not get to meet much of her in the other books, but this book really shines on her character…..and she is trying to run from her past…and Haddie goes along for the ride. Chain Reaction by C.L. Schneider is the second installment of Nite Fire series. Although I didn’t enjoy it as much as the first it was still a riveting story. There was a lot going on in this book that made it hard to follow at times but once all the dots connected it was an “ahhh” moment. I enjoyed that Dalia can now settle down and has people that she connects to. It made her more personable and cheering for her to solve the mystery. the end of the book left the series open and I am excited to listen to the next installment.
