I would say it is a must read. Third Time’s a Ghost had lots of fun and witty banter. Pulkinen knows how to pull in her readers with lovable characters and a story that is intriguing. Paranormal investigator and IT genius Gage Dawson sucks at dating. Psychic medium Erica Miller is struggling to make her haunted community theater a success. Erica hasn’t seen Gage since high school. As the news of what they found is broken to the group, Max decides that they need more information and that she will be the one to go and get it, so she sets out with her favourite hunting partner to scout out locations and find a scavenger party so that they can abduct one of the members and get them to spill the information they know, however, albeit they got some more information, it doesn’t go quite to plan and her partner gets injured during the confrontation, this leads to them taking longer to get home and in the meantime becoming trapped due to the severity of the injuries and lo and behold, the person who comes to their rescue just happens to be one of the people they are looking for, but will they end up being a friend or foe in the days to come and will the information which they have gleaned during the run be enough for them to formulate and execute a plan to finally put a rest to all their troubles?

I am going to be honest when I tell you that I wasn’t a fan of this book at the beginning. It seemed very slow to start, but gosh was I glad that I didn’t let that deter me from reading this book. Once I really sunk my fangs into the meat of this book, I didn’t want to put it down. I have never read a book from this author before. To be perfectly honest, I’ve never heard of the author previously. But let me just say that she has grabbed my attention, and this will not be the last book I read from her. The characters are amazing, and she provides the reader with enough detail that allows your imagination to just roam freely. I especially found the vampire erotica story captivating and the detail was so descriptive that I felt like I was there watching it all take place. And it was steamy! The chapters contain different character points of view which I personally thought was brilliant. I think that was what threw me off at first, but once I figured out what was going on I LOVED IT! If you liked Twilight and wanted more erotica then this book is perfect for you.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is book 5 in the Sundown Series but can be read as a standalone. However, there are references and characters from the first four books that may lead to more questions. I did read this book out of order and enjoyed it quite well. Well enough to get the rest I have missed!

This story, and series, is an apocalyptic-type story with the entire country being “infected” except for a select few. Our heroine Max along with her sister and brother and their new family are trying to right the wrongs and figure out the world without a true government while fighting/killing the “infected” who eat the uninfected humans.

I am left wondering what will happen to the family and how they will continue to survive. With the next threat coming at them questions remain! Looking forward to the next book.

I am also wondering if Konstantin writes other genres as her knack for thriller/adventure is spot on!

I really enjoyed this story. It is well written and all the characters are well developed and likeable. This is the fifth book in the series but it is OK to read as a standalone as the book makes sense without reading the previous ones. It’s a gripping story that is fast paced from the beginning.

This book is set in a time when there is a zombie apocalypse is happening. Max and her family have found a safe haven safe from the zombies and the government who are after them. Max and her family know the truth behind the outbreak so the government is trying to capture them to keep it quiet. With other people to try and rescue it is a story about deciding what’s best. Do they leave potential survivors for the safety of themselves? Or do they risk it all to help safe others?

I give Third Time’s a Ghost: A Ghostly Paranormal Romance (Haunted Ever After Book 3) by Carrie Pulkinen, 5 stars.

The third book in this wonderful series focuses on Gage and Erica. If you have been reading the series, you will recognize Gage. Erica is introduced to us in this book. Both are wonderful characters and it is interesting to see their interactions with each other since they were good friends in childhood, but drifted apart. They have their own issues they carry too, which impedes upon any relationship they may want to explore.

As the series implies, there are ghosts and the supernatural at work in this book too. This adds suspense to this paranormal romance and rounds outs the book very nicely. I quite enjoyed this side of the story and could not guess what exactly would happen next. I love to be surprised by my books.

If you are a fan paranormal romance with fun characters and a great story, this book and series are for you.

Third Time’s a Ghost: A Ghostly Paranormal Romance (Haunted Ever After, #3)
by Carrie Pulkinen was a good 4 star read. I was excited to finally get Gage’s story.

Erica is a psychic but has hidden it from everyone. When she inherits a theatre she quickly discovers that she has ghosts and she needs help.

Gage is a paranormal investigator who has had a crush on Erica for years. When Erica calls him for help she sees how handsome Gage has become and the chemistry between them kicks in full force.

Will Gage be able to help Erica get control of the spirits?

Overall this was a fun read that pulls you in. The characters were great, I really enjoyed watching their relationship develop. We also get some very steamy moments. The author does a good job of pulling you in with her writing. If you’re looking for a fun second chance romance this would be a good read for you. It can be read as a standalone but reading the first two books are highly suggested. 1-click and get started today.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Third Time’s A Ghost: A Ghostly Paranormal Romance is the third book in the Haunted Ever After series by Carrie Pulkinen. As expected, this is another fun paranormal romance from Ms. Pulkinen- packed plenty of the paranormal, ghosts, danger, romance, chemistry, steamy encounters, mystery, intrigue, and more.
I was intrigued by Gabe from the moment we met him back in book one- being a friend of Allison’s, and fellow ‘ghostbuster’. So, finding that he get’s his own story here was a bit of a bonus for me- and as I soon discovered, there is more to him than just his paranormal investigator and IT specialist tag. Add Erica and the whole ‘haunted theatre’ developments- and things get very intriguing in a heck of a hurry.
This story is every bit as good as the other two books, making it hard for me to choose a favourite from the three. It could be read as a standalone, as each book in the series focuses on a different couple, but having said that, I really do recommend reading the first two books before beginning on this one, as there are recurring characters to meet- as well as two other fantastic stories that you would miss out on otherwise.
Highly recommended for all paranormal romance lovers!

Thank you, Carrie Pulkinen!

This is a great SciFi, Paranormal story. I would say that this would be a great additional story for the Young Adult genre as well. Even though this book is Book 5 of the series, it can be a stand alone. The plotline is a fast paced post-apocalyptic suspenseful story. I could not stop reading this book. I was turning the pages so fast that I almost got paper cut. It is centered around one character, Max. I felt that she was fully developed and well liked. She was in a tragic accident that changed her life around. She is marked and has to watch her back at all times. She wants to keep those close to her safe. I highly recommend this story to see what happens to Max.

This is the third book in the Haunted Ever After Series. Like with any book in a series, starting with the first book is best. Although this book can be read as a standalone. This is a fun, paranormal, geeky, mystery, thriller, romance story and is written fantastically. I was drawn into yet another amazing story by this author. Erica Miller who happens to be a psychic medium, inherits a haunted community theater from her childhood mentor who has recently passed in a peculiar way. She makes a go at the theater and things keep going wrong. She runs into her childhood best-friend Gage whom she seeks help from to help with the glitching lights at the theater. Gage Dawson is a brilliant IT worker by day and a paranormal investigator by night, whom sucks at the dating. When Erica asks for his help he is joyed to help her. He wants his relationship with Erica to move to the next level. But will the spirits in her newly owned theater interfere? I truly enjoyed this book and am sad that it is the last in the series. But overall loved the whole series and I recommend it!

The Duncan’s just ROCK! I can’t help but be impressed by this group. They are living in a difficult world now but have become stronger as the days go by. This story kept me reading and on the edge of my seat. Never knowing what was going to happen next unless it involved the infected (then…I knew). The emotions and thought process I went through while reading was enormous! Fright, worry, tears (yes I teared up!), happiness as well as wondering how I would do as one of these Characters…pretty sure the answer is not well.

The characters are simply Bad to the Bone! They all have little issues but they each have wondrous strengths that complement each other. Alex is the leader/mother type figure. But don’t cross her because she will go “Mamma Bear” on you! Rafe and all his knives… he just impresses me! He is a physically and mentally strong one. Max is on another level than these two. She speaks her mind, has one goal and loves her family. I loved watching how these and the others band together and fall apart.

This is an interesting series. I have only read a couple books in here. Each book explains what has happened or is happening to everyone so they are basically stand alones. I loved reading this and look forward to the last in the Sundown Series!

Gage Dawson is an IT genius and repairman by day, but by night he is a paranormal investigator, but despite all that, he really has no luck with dating, he seems to be friend zoned every time at his best and at his worst, he is asked only to repair something in the lucky girls house, but when his sisters find this out at their monthly brunch, they are full of advice for him. Erica Miller is a woman with a painful history, but is now a graphic designer by day and a theater owner by night, she has inherited the theater she used to perform in when her old mentor leaves it to her in her will, but when she is running through the production she has planned with her students and the lights start flickering and she feels cold draughts, she starts to think that it isn’t just electrical gremlins who reside there.

When Gage is called to a floor he doesn’t normally provide IT solutions for at work, the last person he expects to see is that it his childhood friend who left town 10 years before who is the one in need of help, but when his friend who also works on that floor points out that it is Erica Miller who is the one who put in the call, he cannot quite believe it is her and when he finds out that she has been back in town for six months, he doesn’t know quite what to think even though he still feels the same pull as before. However, when Erica sees that Gage is the one who has come to repair her computer, she cannot believe her eyes when she sees how much he has changed since she left and she is confused by the feelings which start to rear their heads when she sees him, but he is all professional and saves her a lot of trouble when he repairs her computer, but talking to one of her coworkers afterwards about her reactions, she is still confused about it all and when she gets home and a ghost shows up at her home, she tries to block them out as well as explain that she can’t help them as much as she would like to.

The next day Gage can’t concentrate on work and is just counting down until he can go up and check on Erica and whether her computer is still working alright, but he knows it is just an excuse to see her, so when he does go up, he invites her to lunch, but she turns him down saying that she needed to work over lunch and help a colleague out, but his friend invites him to after work drinks which Erica agrees to, but Gage noe being a fan of busy places declines, much to her disappointment, but he does give her his number before he leaves and she texts him back almost immediately with hers. Later on Erica is waiting for Gage at the bar, but worries that he isn’t going to turn up, but then her drunk coworker comes up and comes onto her, but the way he approaches it makes Erica feel angry rather than happy as he says derogatory things about her a the same time, Gage just happens to choose this moment to enter the bar and hearing this punches him in the face, Ericca is shocked but pulls him out of the bar to talk to him and have that catch up after all. Gage goes outside with her and listens to all that has happened to her over the last few years and as it progresses all of those feelings are brought back to the service, but he is shocked and elated at the same time when Erica leans in to kiss him just before they both leave for the evening.

As the time passes and Erica spends more time with Gage, she realises that she has feelings for him too, but when she starts having to spend more time at the theater, more strange things start to happen, she opens up to Gage about it and this is when she finds out that he understands and offers to help, she declines at first, but as she starts to experience blackouts and time loss, she asks for his help, but what they discover has nothing to do with the known spirits who live there, but when things start to get dangerous and the blackouts increase, she realises that she has to open up fully to Gage in more ways than one, but when the secrets of her past are revealed, will Gage be as open to them as she hopes, or will the ghosts come between them and ruin their fledgling romance? This romance has comedy and the paranormal in spades, but it also has you rooting for Erica and Gage as their story progresses and it leaves you guessing what will happen right up until the end.

Once again Pulkinen did not disappoint, this story, much like the second instalment, had lots of fun and witty banter and again the romantic relationship felt natural and not forced. I love the whole friends-to-lovers thing, I always think that the relationships feel as though they have more depth and nothing between them feels rushed.
In this story, Gage is a paranormal investigator who’s a dab hand with all things electronic but cannot for the life of him make a relationship work. As great as his track record is investigating all things ghostly, his dating track record is dead on arrival, and haunting him frequently is the love that he never admitted to when he was in high school and hopelessly in love with the girl next door. Erica, the afore-mentioned girl next door, happens to be a psychic medium (convenient huh) and when one particular ghost starts causing her more hassle than she can handle alone, she decides to call her old nerdy friend gage to help with the situation. Thing is, nerdy friend got hot and she really wasn’t expecting that (some psychic, am I right).
As I’ve said before this has all of the Pulkinen awesomeness; it’s funny, great supernatural elements, a bit saucy and steamy as well as having awesome characters, that while being knee-deep in the paranormal, still feel achingly real. Pulkinen is fast becoming one of my favourite authors to read, especially if I’m fancying something fun and light to put a smile on my face, on that, Pulkinen always delivers.

Third Time’s a Ghost: A Ghostly Paranormal Romance is the third book in the Haunted Ever After series by Carrie Pulkinen.
I have read this series from the start and would highly recommend doing the same, that way you will have already met the characters and have a feel for the series, I think it makes the book even more enjoyable.

In this third instalment we follow the story of Gage and Erica. Gage is a paranormal investigator, he hunts out and investigates all that goes bump in the night. Erica is a medium in need of a bit of extra help. The pair start off as friends, but the chemistry soon takes over and they become much more.

I love the series and enjoyed this third instalment, although not quite as much as the first two books. I struggled with Erica a bit, she’s not quite what I pictured for Gage, and I’m still not 100% if I like her….but at the same time, I love that the author gives us a variety of characters. I hate it when you read a series of books and every character (especially the leads) are pretty much identical. So I may not love Erica, but I enjoyed getting frustrated at her and wanting to shout at her throughout the book. I always enjoy the fun and humour that the author brings to her stories.

4 Stars

This is a fun, ghostly romance. It is the third installment in this series and probably my favourite. Ms. Pulkinen knows how to pull in her readers with lovable characters and a story that is intriguing. This book has some added mystery and danger. Erica has always been psychic. She’s hidden her talent her whole life. She inherits a theatre that has a few ghosts attached to it. She recently bumped into her old high school friend Gage Dawson and realized that he grew into a very handsome man. Gage has always been in love with Erica but never had the guts to tell her. Meeting her again has given him a second chance. Unfortunately he has never had any luck with girls and is nervous that it won’t work out. Since Gage has already investigated the theatre before, he knows about the ghosts that live there. Yet stranger things are starting to occur with Erica and Gage is worried. An obvious lack of communication between the two puts Erica in harm’s way. They will need to work together to stay alive.

I enjoyed the fact that Gage got his own book. He has always been a secondary character in this series and I think he deserved his own story. With Erica and Gage’s back story, it made their romance even more meaningful. I loved the fact that Gage was able to see past her scars and love her for her. This book was a great addition to this series.

Third Times a Ghost is the 3rd instalment in the Haunted Ever After Series by Carrie Pulkinen. This book was my favourite so far. I felt such a strong dislike for the ghost and found myself wanting to shout at the main character for her to listen to Gage. I love that I was so engrossed by it. This book follows Gage, who was friend-zoned in the first book, while he reconnects with his former best friend and unrequited first love Erica. Erica has returned to town after failing to make it big in Hollywood and has reluctantly taken over the local theatre after inheriting it from a friend. When Erica starts experiencing some weird gaps in her memory she is hesitant to ask Gage for help. Their path doesn’t run smoothly for their romance with Gage’s meddling sisters and Erica’s very opinionated spirit. I really enjoyed this series and look forward to reading more work by this author.

Vengeance (The Sundown Series Book 5) by Courtney Konstantin is a YA Sci Fi paranormal story. This dystopian post-apocalyptic tale is a dangerous and emotional journey and great addition to this series. I have said it before but I am not a zombie lover, but Courtney has made this story unique and the plot different enough to entertain me. Her superb word smithing and vivid writing style, is very descriptive and makes it seem like you have been immersed in the story and fighting to survive. Third Time’s a Ghost: A Ghostly Paranormal Romance (Haunted Ever After, #3) by Carrie Pulkinen is a fun paranormal rom com mystery thriller (try saying that drunk). I am in love with this series as it is nonsensical and has just the right amount of sizzle. Carrie knows just how to draw in her audience with her fantastic writing and characters that are well developed, quirky and lovable. It’s easy to get lost in the paranormal world that she creates as she always gives us a little something extra. It is great entertainment.

Trent inherits a house from his surly ungrateful great uncle. After visiting the house he decides that he needs to say goodbye to it ASAP which brings him face to face with the temptress.

Tina agrees to help Trent sell the house but it soon it becomes apparent that the house comes with a little something more.

Unfortunately, this is the last book in this series, but I look forward to the next ghostly feel good tale from Miss Carrie.

Another fun paranormal romance by Carrie Pulkinen, with a ghostly twist. Gage Dawson is an IT genius and a paranormal investigator but he is terrible at dating. However when he meets childhood best friend Erica again he is determined to tell her something that he never did in high school and that is that he loves her. Erica Miller is a Psychic medium who is struggling to make her haunted community theatre into a success. When Erica has problems with a ghost and it starts effecting her health she turns to paranormal investigator Gage. She is shocked to find that her once nerdy best friend is now rather sexy and neither of them can deny the chemistry between them. They just hope the spirits won’t come between them. I enjoyed this friends to lovers romance and loved Erica and Gage’s characters and how their relationship developed and changed throughout the book. The attraction between them definitely came across in the narrative and led to some steamy scenes. The storyline flows well and the plot kept me engaged in the story from start to finish. It can be read as a standalone story although the characters do pop up throughout the series of books. This is a lighthearted read which offers some real escapism to the reader and Pulkinen has become one of my favourite authors.

Vengeance (The Sundown Series Book 5) by Courtney Konstantin – Review by Sheri Schrader

VengeanceVengeance by Courtney Konstantin
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Vengeance by Courtney Konstantin is the fifth book in Sundown Series. Don’t worry if you haven’t read the other books the author sets this up as an excellent standalone. Max is on a dangerous path and coming back from being tortured. Can she handle the pressure that is mounting more and more? I really enjoy Max because she is strong-willed and determined. The story building of a dystopian future is well done allowing one to be taken into the story. I wasn’t sure if I wanted to read a dystopian book at the moment with the pandemic going on but this actually was well done and didn’t disappoint. I have only read a few of the books by this author but I will be looking forward to reading more of her books in the future.

Third Time’s a Ghost (Haunted Ever After Book 3) by Carrie Pulkinen – Review by Lisa Helmick

Third Time's a Ghost: A Ghostly Paranormal Romance (Haunted Ever After, #3)Third Time’s a Ghost: A Ghostly Paranormal Romance by Carrie Pulkinen
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is the last of this series. While I liked Gage and wanted his ever after…I can’t say I loved this book. It’s a second chance romance with some ghost issues. The story just didn’t call to me but it could others. I didn’t feel connected to either character other than the evilness from the mirror. It was easy (for me) to figure out how this one would go. The characters seemed indifferent. While Gage is a good secondary character he needs more to hold his own as a lead. His sisters did not really add to the picture.

So overall I usually enjoy this authors imagination but this one fell flat for me. It just didn’t grip me and make me not want to put it down. The evilness in here made this one a little dark. Not my cup of tea but it could be yours.

Vengeance (The Sundown Series Book 5) by Courtney Konstantin – Review by Naomi McDonald

VengeanceVengeance by Courtney Konstantin
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Vengeance is the fifth book in the Sundown series. It can be read as a standalone. The author does a good job of weaving in important backstory so you don’t feel like you are missing anything.
This book has everything you’d expect in a post-apocalyptic tale, include a variation of zombies. Overall, I would say this particular story is really more about the interpersonal relationship development of the characters as they get prepared to go after an old enemy. That being said, it does have plenty of suspense and danger mixed in to keep things moving right along. There are also some emotional moments that will get you right in the feels.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I enjoyed this book by Carrie Pulkinen. I loved reading the story of how Gage and Erica found each other and their love for each other. I enjoyed Carrie Pulkinen’s take on the paranormal world. This book had love and a lot of twists and turns as Erica and Gage found that love. I enjoyed this third novel in the series and really liked how happiness was found in the end or all. I like Carrie Pulkinen’s take on the paranormal world and have enjoyed everything I have read from her.

Third Time’s a Ghost (Haunted Ever After Book 3) by Carrie Pulkinen – Review by Kerry Carr

Third Time's a Ghost: A Ghostly Paranormal Romance (Haunted Ever After, #3)Third Time’s a Ghost: A Ghostly Paranormal Romance by Carrie Pulkinen
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is the third book in the Haunted Ever After series and it is another great book. I love the mix of romance and paranormal. The characters are really well written and easy to feel a connection with.

Erica is a psychic medium who has taken over her old teachers theatre after she dies. The business is in trouble so Erica is working hard to put it on track. She had plenty of experience with spirits however when this spirit in her theatre starts to become more of a poltergeist then she knows she needs help.

Gage is the man for the job. He also had experience dealing with spirits and also helping them to cross over so when Erica  asks for his help he accepts.

When emotions return Gage realises he’s never gotten over his one true love in Erica. Will she return his feelings? After all this time will they come together? Or will the spirits have other plans for them?
