We are still at the Soppranaturale Hotel which is an undercover sanctuary for paranormal & supernatural creatures who run the Soppranaturale. Ommily and Link are the very last two Fae and they love each other dearly. Ommily and Link are assigned to protect and then conquer the Gauntlet. They are now trying to protect the Soppranaturale Hotel from its pending demise. They along with other members of the Guard are using their powers to fight the rouge supernaturals. Going thru horrible battles and testing every bit of their powers and relationship Link and Ommily will fight til the bitter end. Will they protect the Soppranaturale or will they lose this very important battle. Read The Guard to find out!

I enjoyed this fantasy story. This is the second book in this series which I highly suggest reading the first book to help you get to know the characters better. One thing I enjoy about the author is her attention to detail and her ability to write a story that pulls me in from the beginning. This story is no different if not better. Lady Isra is back in this story. There is alot going on in this story that you don’t want to miss. The twists and turns in this story will keep you turning pages as it reveals revenge, suspense and even some romance. I enjoyed reading this book as it is fast paced and entertaining. I highly recommend this book and this author.

The book Her Blackened Heart (The Blackened Series Book 2) by Isra Sravenheart is a story that I loved reading. It has witches, magic, and danger. Lady Isra is up to her old self. She is a dark witch and her actions show this. She wants to lead Contessia, a good witch who believes in love and light, astray. There is also a war that has begun against a known foe, Everilda. What does the future hold for Contessia and Everilda? Will Lady Isra’s plans succeed? Read this book to find out. This is a story that is wonderfully written. It is exciting and entertaining. Once I started the book, I didn’t want to put it down until the final page. Another interesting character and part of the story is Lady Isra’s raven companion. The author does a wonderful job of taking you into a land of fantasy where you never know just what will happen next. The characters and the storyline come alive and I found myself lost in the pages. Don’t miss out on this amazing fantasy book. I highly recommend reading it.

This book was once again written brilliantly, with brilliant descriptions and epic high fantasy, romance, action & adventure, It was a captivating and engaging read from the very beginning. This book picks up right after book 1 so I highly suggest that you read them both in order to get the full experience of the characters stories and journeys from the very beginning.
This book fully captivates you into this world the author has created and you get lost within the pages, it feels like you are there within the story living it out alongside the characters. You will never get bored while reading this book, it’s fast-paced and will leave you wanting more! I can’t wait to read more from this author and to see what else will come to series! As a nurse and a fan of the spirit world, I couldn’t download Kate MacInnis’ book Distant Heart Sounds fast enough. Kate MacInnis kicked off her Nurse Morgan series with a fantastic, fun read. While the book had a lot going on, the storyline never once felt forced or overwhelming. I enjoyed the book from start to finish and truly loved nurse Morgan. I am beyond thrilled to read on in the series and “get to know” Kate MacInnis’ writing even more. I loved the book so much, I’d venture to say 5 out of 5 stars.

If you are looking to read a fun exciting short read, look no further this book is for you. In everything that is going on around us in the world, we need to find something to get lost in for a while. The story is a simple plot line. What makes this story great is the characters. The characters are adorable. Morgan is a nurse who does not believe in paranormal anything until she had a near-death experience. That opened her eyes to a lot of things. While she was skeptical at the beginning, she finally learns that she needs to be open to different things. She realizes that she in fact has feelings for a special doctor. This book has a little bit of everything, romance, humor, and mystery. I highly recommend this story as it will be a short fast read.

I really enjoyed the second book in the Soppranaturale Series by Ashley Pagano. I don’t usually read this particular genre but I really liked book 1 and the authors writing I felt was really engaging and enjoyable to read. Again I was quickly absorbed into what I was reading; the author’s descriptive language makes for great world building. The characters are very creative and I liked reading about them. I enjoyed following Link and Ommily again in this story, they definitely had some obstacles to face this time – I loved reading about them! The story does have quite a few layers to it which made it more exciting to read, I found myself easily lost in what I was reading! I think this book definitely needs to be read after book 1 to fully understand everything going on. I definitely recommend this series!!

This book is about a woman called Morgan who gains an odd ability to see ghosts after she undergoes a brain surgery.
I really enjoyed this book! It was really realistic and the majority of Morgan’s responses were how an ordinary person would react with ghosts and other traumatic things occurring, which I really appreciated! I really liked the writing style and I loved Savannah, the best friend, as well as the other people who worked at the hospital she worked at.
I would definitely recommend this to anyone who wants to read something paranormal but doesn’t want to be scared! It’s not a horror or thriller so it’s more accessible, in my opinion, to a wide variety of readers. The last chapter was slightly rushed, in my opinion, and although I was satisfied with the ending, I did want more. Although, it is the first in a series so maybe that’s why it stops where it does.

Distant Heart Sounds was a pleasant surprise! I’ll be the first to admit that paranormal anything is not my normal genre. It took me a minute to get into the story, but I immediately liked the characters, especially Morgan and her co-workers/friends in the EC.
Morgan Cutler is a long time career nurse in the EC of the Good Sam hospital. She doesn’t have any family left, but has made her own family. After a very serious and life changing surgery, she has found that some aspects of her life are very different. Lucky for Morgan her friends and the new doctor on the floor are very accepting and intrigued.
I really enjoyed this novel. The writing was wonderful and the characters very fun! I am hoping there is more to come for Nurse Morgan Cutler!

YES! I had high hopes for this novel after reading the first in the series, which I recommend that you do as well before diving into this one, but this knocked it out of the park. I really have grown to love taking an escape type vacation to a magical world of the Soppranaturale. The way this book is written you are transported to a land you could only imagine in your wildest dreams with all kinds of magic and inhuman creatures.
This book picks up just shortly after the last with Ommily and Link finally finding each other and in the Guard but with a whole new set of obstacles in their way. There are several layered elements between the Guard and the romance between the two that there is hardly a moment to breathe let alone get bored. I found myself reading this well into the night to see how the culmination of everything would turn out. Not one missed wink was missed. I look forward to seeing what will come next from Ashley Pagano!

I was excited to see what Distant Heart Sounds was all about as soon as I read the blurb. I felt like this could be a fun twist on a medical drama romance and it for sure was! The characters drew me in from the very first page. I love Morgan Cutler, our MC, and following her journey as she began to understand her new life post major surgery. The drama and supporting characters really was gripping and kept me on the edge of my seat as I followed along with them in the Good Sam Hospital emergency department. I loved the extra layer of paranormal and felt like this was the perfect way to get myself in a Halloween/spooky season mindset. I look forward to seeing what the other books in this series will bring, especially after finding out this will continue to bring us more of nurse Morgan!

The Guardis the second book in The Soppranaturale Seriesby Ashley Pagano. It is a really intriguing paranormal fantasy, and a really original and fun read. I loved the first book and couldn’t wait to dive into this story and continue the adventure. Full of magic, secrets, supernatural and paranormal beings, discovery, action, danger, and more. I loved reading the book The Guard (A Soppranaturale Series Book 2) by Ashley Pagano. It is a story that includes action, danger, romance, and magical beings. It is a book that pulled me in, and I was hooked. I love the characters of Link and Ommily. They have found each other and reading about their feelings for each other made me believe in true love and soulmates. This story has suspense and I found myself turning pages wondering what was going to happen next. What will happen when evil forces rise against the Soppranaturale hotel? Read this book to find out. This was a fun, interesting book. It reminds me a bit of Grey’s Anatomy but with ghosts. There is so much going on here. Morgan almost dies, and she is still coping with this. Then there is her job and the friends and coworkers who are her family. Oh, and let us not forget that now she can see and talk to ghosts! This book has many angles, but it is so cohesive and makes for a wonderful story. I really enjoyed this book and loved Morgan. It was so interesting seeing how she deals with everything. She feels so real and tackles things like most people would. Morgan is a very strong character and someone to look up to. The secondary characters, both living and ghosts are wonderful and really make this book exceptional. I cannot wait to read the next book in the series and see just where it leads.
If you are a fan of strong female characters, wonderful friendships, and ghosts, this book is for you.

I enjoyed this book. This is book two in this series, I highly suggest you read book one before this one. It will help your enhancement of this series and get to know where the characters come from and where they are now. This is a great second part of this story. Ommily and Link’s story picks up where they have just found each other and have been accepted into the Guard. Their journey continues as they take a stand against supernaturals rogues. Their relationship is pushed to limits they did not expect. Will the Guard come out on top or will the hotel fall? What happens to them you don’t want to miss. I really enjoyed this book. The characters are well written and it made me laugh at times. I like the way the paranormal and romance side of things combined as well.
Morgan is a hard worker in a hospitals emergency centre. After suffering with a brain aneurysm Morgan underwent surgery to have it removed. After recovering she has found out that the aneurysm has gone but she has been left with something else in its place. Something she isn’t sure about. She can now see, hear and connect with dead people. Not just that the whole psychic world has opened up to her and she doesnt know how to deal with it. Is she really seeing and hearing all these strange things or is she going crazy. Morgan also finds out that being psychic isn’t all that great when she stumbles upon secrets that probably should have remained kept that way. Add to the mix the hot new doctor who has started working there who claims he has the same psychic ability as Morgan and can help her. Does she take a risk to see if he can help her in more ways that one.

Distant Heart Sounds By Kate MacInnis is a Paranormal Rom-Com. This book had me laughing out loud numerous times. It’s a feel good book and you will not want to put it down once you start, I certainly didn’t. Kate MacInnis is a fantastic author knowing how to get the reader gripped from start to finish is a tough fete, but she does just that. House Valdis Origins: Xenobia by Naomi Valkyrie is a prequel to the first novel in this series, The Rise of House Valdis. This is a quick read but very entertaining. I enjoyed getting a new insight into the character, Xenobia. This adds to the first book and the rest of the series and the relationships and characters being developed. I read this in record time and was sad to see the end of this book. I felt like it covered what was needed and now I will be rereading the first book before grabbing the second book. This is a great series and I look forward to reading more from it in the future.
Distant Heart Sounds is the first book in the Nurse Morgan Series and debut novel by Kate MacInnis. This is an original, fun and spooky paranormal romance- with humour, ghosts, a little drama, secrets, mystery, and more. I really enjoyed this book and am happy to have stumbled on this book purely by luck- so I will definitely be keeping my eye out for any new release from Ms. MacInnis in the future as I don’t want to miss a thing. Morgan Cutler is a seasoned ER nurse- with more than 20 years’ experience, so she thought nothing could surprise her anymore. But life throws her a curve-ball and things take a bit of a spooky and unexpected turn when a near-death experience leaves Morgan with new-found psychic abilities. This turns her life upside down- and opens up a world she never really believed existed. Her love life takes an unexpected turn too- all making for a really great read! I can’t wait to see where we go from here!

Another exceptional addition to this captivating series. Once again Toya Richardson has captivated her readers with this fast-paced fantasy romance read. She has created characters that you can really connect to and thoroughly enjoy their journey. With this read, we follow Rhys & Luna’s story, its action-packed, engaging and had me turning the pages to find out what will happen next. I absolutely loved their story, their connection and their chemistry, but will the past affect their future together? I couldn’t help but hope these two get a HEA they both deserve! I highly recommend this read you will not regret this book or this series! Don’t miss it!

This unexpected delight left me intrigued and wanting more. MacInnis is a new author to me and I thoroughly enjoyed this romp with the paranormal in a tongue in cheek way. It dances a fine line between skepticism and humor and truthfully provides a fun look into the new world our lead character finds herself in following a major life event. The first chapter did a fantastic job setting up the story and the character and simply took off from there. Truly delightful, I look forward to seeing where the series takes me next.

Xenobia: House Valdis Origins by Naomi Valkyrie was a great, and quick read! Naomi did a great job with the back story of this main character from the House of Valdis series! You don’t have to read the series to understand the origin, it is a great stand-alone novella. This was also a super short read as well. I immensely enjoyed reading this novel, and it was great to be back in the world Valkyrie created. I can’t wait to read not only the next origin book, but the next House of Valdis installment as well. I highly recommend this story!
