Degrees of Power is book four in the Prestian Series by Via Mari. Katarina just captivates me. As a character, she is a courageous and fearless woman, paving her path in a man’s world. Chase and Katarina must face many obstacles, be prepared to do what it takes to get the best result and reconfirm the love they have for one another. The level of affection runs so deep between them, it has its own palpable heartbeat. A profound reaction whenever they were in each others vicinity.
Everything about this story was remarkable. It was evocative, suspenseful and unique. Nothing was omitted from the Prestian Series, with a reader getting the full impact of this powerful collection. A highly energetic and dangerously addictive series. This one is a must read. 5 stars

Degrees of Power by Via Mari is the fourth and final book in the Prestian series. When I first finished the book I wasn’t sure how I felt about the way she ended it, but after a little bit I have decided that I liked it. Part of the reason is Jenny had her own series and I fully expect Katarina and Chase to pop up.
Katarina and Chase have had quite the whirlwind romance with so many different things happening to them or the people they love, never a dull moment for them.
They have learned so much in the short time they have been together, the biggest lesson is trust and how important it is to a relationship.
I have some questions about some if the things that happened but like I said I’m hoping to see them in Jenny’s story and get those questions answered.

Book 4 in this series and I honestly cannot get enough of it! This is by far one of the best series that I have read in a very long time. The author has been able to easily hold my attention over the four books – I didn’t want this book to end as I was not looking forward to the book hangover that I knew was inevitable! The author’s writing is exciting, she pulls you in from the very first word and I just love the characters that she has created! I love Kate and Chase – I can’t help but desperately want them to find their happily ever after! They have such an intense chemistry that felt natural and the author wrote these scenes between them really well. I am gutted that this series is over, it’s been an absolute pleasure to read and I will definitely be looking to read more from this author again in the future. Thank you Via Mari for a fantastic 5 star series – I have loved every single minute of it!

Degrees of Power is the fourth and final book in the Prestian series by Via Mari. I have loved reading this series and had been wondering how Via Mari was going to pull everything together, so I had fairly high expectation for this final book. After reading it I have to say what an incredibly captivating conclusion this turned out to be. Via Mari didn’t rest on her laurels, keeping the story amped up right till the end. The story/series is a great erotic romance – full of suspense, emotion, mystery, action, danger, secrets, humour, and passion. I really recommend that you read the rest of the series before starting on this one, as there are details, character information, and a bridging storyline you really should know in order to fully appreciate and get the most out of this reading experience. Katarina and Chase have been through quite a lot, and this book sees them dealing with a lot of the ‘issues’ that have plagued them. Their relationship has evolved over the course of the series and we got to follow them through all the various ‘stages’, and the highs and lows that they’ve experienced. But along with their relationship development and finding their ‘balance- there are other unexpected developments which add an element of suspense and intensity to the whole storyline. It was quite gripping in places. The powerful chemistry between Chase and Katarina produced some sizzling scenes- but there was also some more tender moment, some humour, and emotion to be had as well. This was a really great story that easily pulled me in and kept me engrossed the whole way through. A fantastic way to end the series. I can’t wait to see what Via Mari does next….

This story is a continuation. Please, do yourself a HUGE favor and read the first books in this series. You will love the,. Katarina and Chase are continuing on their insane journey of life and passion. Katarina is a strong woman. And by that I mean super strong. This woman has gone through the ringer and has come out standing on the other side. While she still is needing to come to terms with the trust issues that she has in her past and those that she is currently facing with Chase, she grows by leaps and bounds as a person in this installment and you can tell how much power she has as a female character in a book of strong male leads. Chase holds his own. He loves Kate. He is even able to put up with her independent nature and her distrustful side. He grows with her. He learns her and she learns him. He begins to understand that within a relationship, especially one founded as theirs was, there is a lot of give and take. Chase is a strong foundation of which they both stand and he is determined to not let them fail. I highly recommend this series. You will fall in love with this story. This author has a masterful way of creating beautifully detailed scenes and intricate characters who are strong, independent and full of life.

Degrees of Control is the third book in the Prestian series from Via Mari. I have read the previous two books and in order. I would highly recommend that you do so as well or you will find that you are a bit dazed and confused as to what is going on with our characters at this point in the books. Each book really breaks down a stage of a BDSM/intimate relationship. In this one it is centered on the aspect of control.
I must say I enjoyed the other two books much more than this one. Not that this wasn’t a great read and I won’t be back for more because I sure will! These are fantastic reads, and ultimately this book made sense amongst the greater picture of things. I do believe once you have read the entire series you will see this for yourself. I’d be divulging just a bit too much if I explained too much more in my opinion.
The one reason I struggled was Kate in this book was a big pain in my rear end. I seriously found myself yelling out loud several times at her. This isn’t a bad thing though. Good books involve the reader right? She just really needs to let go of some insecurities herself and learn to trust not only others but herself.
The steam and kink is still there to keep you blushing and fanning yourself ladies, and don’t worry there is plenty of intrigue and adventure to balance it all out perfectly. I personally can’t wait to see what will come next for these two in the book four, Degrees of Power. Thanks for another great Via Mari!

Degrees of Control is the third book in the Prestian series by Via Mari. It is an erotic romantic suspense- full of emotion, highs and lows, mystery, action, danger, secrets, danger, passion, and more. I have been really enjoying this series, zipping my way through each book just because I need to know what’s going to happen. I had high expectations for this book and am happy to say that it was just as good as the first two, and definitely kept me hooked the whole way through. This book should be read as part of the series as there is a bridging story that continues from book to book, plus there are all the character introductions and other relevant information that you will need in order to really appreciate the story/series- so I strongly advise you to read the first two books before starting off on this one. After the events in the previous book this one picks up with Kate deciding that Chase’s choices aren’t for her and has turned down his marriage proposal. But circumstances arise where she will need to play along and put up a front of being a happy couple. With their chemistry simmering just below the surface, it doesn’t take much for their passions to unleash. But with so much still up in the air, Katarina has some decisions to make…… Kate really frustrated me a lot through this story with all her trust issues, being hard to get along with, and generally being difficult and stubborn- placing herself and others in danger. I wanted to yell at her at times. There is plenty of suspense and the tension was built to a very high level- which had me on the edge of my seat a lot of the time. There were a few unexpected developments and twists which kept thing quite interesting and had me clamouring to know how it all works out. Bring on the next book!

Degrees of Control is the third book in Via Mari’s Prestian series. Do not start with this book, you need to read the books in the order as then you really get the story, the journey … I truly think that the series gets better and better with each book … the writer’s attention to detail becomes clearer and clearer and you feel as if you are co-existing with Kate and Chase, right there … next to them! There are so many twists and turns … one moment you are slowly floating along, enjoying the ride and then suddenly you are at the edge of your seat, almost falling off! Degrees of Control picks up after Kate has rejected Chase’s proposal for marriage. She struggles with trust and at times with what is right and what is wrong and she is so strong and at times I wish that we could also see another side of hers … on the other hand, I can so totally relate to it as when we are in control then at the end of the day there is no one else we can blame … There are some twists here that you do not see coming so it is really good that there is at least one more book for us to enjoy the journey and I am wondering, what lesson does Kate have left to learn …

Degrees of Control was a great 5 star read and book three in the Prestian Series.
We continue where book two left off. Katarina is confused on her feelings and struggling with trusting Chase and has declined his proposal. How can she love a man she can’t trust? Chase convinces Katarina to pretend to be engaged until everyone is safe. This is where things start to take an interesting twist.
There is so much that goes on, suspense, danger and several twists and turns along with a few surprises. All of the secondary characters added a great element to the story. Katarina frustrated me at times with her stubbornness but she was still the feisty and strong willed woman that Chase fell in love with. The heat was definitely turned up between Katarina and Chase, some kindle melting moments for sure. I was happy with how things came out but now I need the next book in the series to see just where everything leads. Since finishing book 2 in this series I have been itching to start book 3 – I needed more of Chase and Katarina’s story and I was not disappointed at all! This is definitely turning out to be a 5 star series! The author took the drama to the next level in this book and for the first time I started questioning whether I actually like Katarina or not, this is the first time that I have ever had my feelings change towards a main character so far into the series and I love it! For me it means the author is keeping her characters fluid and they are evolving with the storyline! I still love Chase; he is an alpha male but with a softer side which I really like about him. There is still an intense sexual chemistry between then two of them in this story which doesn’t seem to be showing signs of getting any less – although Katarina had turned down Chase’s proposal I am still rooting for them as a couple! I am absolutely looking forward to the fourth book in the series and seeing what happens with Chase and Katarina!

Degrees of Control is book three in the Prestian series by Via Mari. This series is high energy drama and suspense and often left me on the edge of my seat, anticipating the next move. It is such an interactive series for me, and one that just keeps getting more thrilling, more passionate, more suspenseful.
Katarina wants it all but has trust issues. Frustration was what I felt when she became difficult. Chase is the alpha who is used to getting what he wants, when he wants it, so he has to make adjustments and seems to handle it a little better than Kate. Their lives are certainly not dull, which makes for action aplenty, and many nail biting, hair raising moments. Just what I crave in a romance.
Via Mari has excelled again. This author drags out so many feels, readers may need a little rest to reflect after each story. 5 stars.

Degrees of Acceptance by Via Mari is the second book in the Prestian series. This is one of those series you really need to read, especially if you don’t like those romance stories that are smooth and easy. There is absolutely nothing smooth and easy about the relationship between Katarina and Chase which is how it was on the first book.
The level of protectiveness Chase feels for Kate is sweet, justified and suffocating all at once and we see all sides of it in this installment of their story. We also see that the protection isn’t just for Kate but also for friends and loved ones too.
There are many layers to Chase and I don’t think what we have seen has scratched the surface. I have a strong feeling that there will more layers peaked back in the next book.
I didn’t want to like Chase and because of him this series but he managed to work his way in and I’ve fallen in love with the series. Cannot wait to see what happens.

This is the second book in the Prestian Series and it picks right up where Book 1 ends. DEGREES OF ACCEPTANCE should be read after “Degrees of Innocence”. I would not suggest this be read as a stand-alone.
Katarina and Chase’s relationship continues to develop and grow.
As with the previous story, the writer is very detailed in the writing and how the story moves along. There are multiple characters and events happening that follow from the first story and we get to see more of what makes people the way they are.
This story continued to be told from the female protagonist’s point of view, but we can get a feeling of how others are feeling based on their actions.
This story is a bit more suspenseful than the first and holds the readers interest to follow it to the next installment of this series.

Degrees of Control by Via Mari a four-star read you will want to control. This is the third book in the Prestian Series and I would definitely recommend you read them in order to get the whole story, if you started with this one you wouldn’t go back as the main character Katarina grows on you during the first two books and in this one you would just hate her if you didn’t know the background, I did and I still had moments with her. Chase is someone many will love, and overall I did, I just had moments with him too, there are some heavy sexy scenes in this series and they really do have a place and depth to them that pulls the story together. The suspense and drama in this read are great and will keep you hooked all the way through.

The story Degrees of Control (A Prestian Series Book 3) by Via Mari is a contemporary romance book. It is a story that hooks you in from the very beginning and I didn’t want to put down until I had read the final page. I have loved this series since reading the first book. One of the reasons is the amazing characters of Chase Prestian and Katarina Mellers. In this story, Katarina deals with her issues of trust and of information regarding actions that have been taken in which she doesn’t feel right about. After turning down Chase’s marriage proposal she soon finds herself having to pretend that she has accepted in order to draw out the man who has put her and others in danger. You can feel the conflict that Katarina has as she knows that she still loves Chase, however, doesn’t know how to reconcile that with her personal convictions of right and wrong. Chase is always looking out for Katarina and her safety. He is still fiercely protective of her. He is also not willing to give up on the feelings of love that he has for Katarina. Both Chase and Katarina still feel the passion and desire that has always been part of their relationship. Will they be able to navigate the rough waters that they find themselves in and come out together on the other side? Will the one that has put their lives in an upheaval be caught? How much danger are they really in? Read this story to find out. With each story that I read, I only grow to love Chase and Katarina more. They are a couple that I believe are meant for each other. Their steamy romance makes the temperature in the room rise. Don’t miss out on this next part of their story. Highly recommended book and series.

Degrees of Acceptance is the second book A Prestian Series by Via Mari. This series should be read in order because this book begins where the first book left off. I think this book is even better than the first, which I loved. This book flowed from the first page till the last, and kept me up most of the night because I just couldn’t put it down tilll I finished. Chase and Katarina’s story continues with this fast paced, action packed installment. I love how this book make you look at things in a different way. Degrees of Acceptance is the second book in Via Mari’s Prestian Series. This book picks up where Degrees of Innocence left off so it’s best to read the books as written in sequential order to get the true impact of the story. Via Mari pays close attention to detail in all aspects of the story and for some this may come across as slow or stiff, especially since this book focuses a lot on the career aspect of these characters. I still find the series, especially this book in particular to be intriguing and suspenseful. I don’t want to delve too much into the plot because I don’t want to spoil the story in anyway. It is important to note for the sake of triggers there is mention of assault and rape. Overall I enjoyed Degrees of Acceptance even more than Degrees of Innocence and in true Via Mari fashion, the book ended leaving me dying to see how the story will continue. Looking forward to more of the Prestian Series.

Degrees of Acceptance is book two in the Prestian series by Via Mari. It is memorable continuation of a story that wins more of my heart, at each word written. The words dance intricately together to weave a masterful and slightly suspenseful tale that is both addictive and sensual. Katarina is more sure of herself and her feelings for Chase, but I cannot help but feel that she is waiting for the other shoe to drop, therefore keeping a little of herself in reserve. Chase is a little obsessed with her and her safety, and unusually it is a quality that I find endearing.
Via Mari is an author I have thoroughly enjoyed and am excited to read more of this series. The characters and storyline are quite attractive and prove to be sinfully entertaining. 5 stars.

This is one amazing series! After loving book 1 I was really looking forward to starting this one and I wasn’t disappointed at all. Everything I loved about book 1, the writing, the plot and the characters – I loved again with this book. The author has an amazing talent at dragging you into her stories straight away and not letting you out until the very end. As Chase and Katarina’s story continues we get to see more into their relationship both professionally and personally. We see Katarina discover the father she never knew and danger surround Chase as he tried to protect those nearest to him. With danger lurking around every corner I couldn’t turn the pages quick enough to see what was going to happen next. The suspense and action that they author created was amazing and kept me on the edge of my seat. I am eagerly anticipating the next book in the series – I cannot wait to read it and get more of these characters!

This is a direct continuation from the first book. Please stop what you are doing and go buy the first book Degrees of Innocence, to get the full breadth and depth of this book. Katarina learns the identity of her father, which throws her for a major loop. He isn’t what she had imagined. Chase, her super alpha male counterpart (swoon) is just as domineering and will go to the ends of the earth to keep her safe, and Katie is trying to come to terms with that.
This book has some extreme emotional hot spots. If you are tendered hearted or do not like to read about situations that involve manipulated sexual scenes, then this may not be for you, but I loved this book. I am not a fan of a first person view point, but for this series, I can easily let that go for this story. I cannot wait for the next book.

Degrees of Acceptance was a great 5 star read and book 2 in the Prestian series. I really suggest that you read the first book just so that you know the history on these two, I think that it would really help.
Katarina and Chase are continuing with their relationship and I loved it. Chase is very concerned about Katarina’s safety due to so many things that are going on. When Katarina finds out who her father is that adds more to the story as well.
I really liked Chase and how protective he was with not only Katarina but with the extended friends and family as well. He was a very detailed man and planned for everything. At times I did feel like he was a little too much but I know it was out of love for Kate.
There is so much going on and they have several sexy moments that are hot. They can’t get enuff of each other. There are some twists and turns that threw me, along with mystery, hot sex, danger, and so much more. Once I started I couldn’t stop until I was done. All of the secondary characters were great. I had an idea of how I wanted to see it end but I didn’t expect what really happened. I can’t wait until the next book to see where all of this goes from here. If your looking for a great series, I highly suggest this one. This series is on my top reads for 2018 list.

Degrees of Acceptance is the second book in the Prestian series by Via Mari. It is an erotic romantic suspense- full of emotion, mystery, action, danger, secrets, hidden agendas, humour, and more. I really liked the first book and was really looking forward to the rest of the series. I did have some high expectations for this book and am happy to say that it was just as good as the first, if not a little better. This book should be read as part of the series as this story is a continuation from book one, so I strongly advise you to read the first book before starting off on this one. As we discovered in book #1, Katarina Meilers (Kate) is a design consultant who was hired to help design a new state of the art medical facility for the Prestian Corporation. As part of the planning process the whole team had been flown to Aruba for a week-long brainstorming and design conference. Kate arrived a few days early in order to get things set up for the week ahead. Then a stressful situation introduces her to a very sexy and charming man, she later discovers is the billionaire owner of Prestian Corporation- the very company who had hired her for the project. Things soon get complicated when things heat up between them and then take on a sinister turn when Kate is targeted by a stalker with an agenda. All the while Chase does everything he can to keep her safe. So, after everything they’d been through, this book picks up the story after the hair-raising events of the previous book. Chase and Kate explore their new relationship and all that it entails, and things get interesting, not just in the bedroom. Kate meets the father she never knew and discovers that he brings another layer of complications. As their three worlds collide, danger follows and once again Chase does everything he can to keep her and her loved ones safe. This was a really great story that easily pulled me in and kept me engrossed the whole way through. I love the electrifying chemistry between Kate and Chase, their connection was intense. As with the last book, Ms. Mari built the tension beautifully. She turned up the dial on the suspense to “high”- keeping me on the edge of my seat, guessing what would happen next. Some of the minor issues that I had with the first book have been rectified in this instalment. Although, at times the language still seems a bit ‘formal’ and a little ‘old fashioned’. But again, the story was engrossing enough that this didn’t detract too much from the overall storyline, or from my enjoyment of the book. There were a few unexpected developments and twists which kept thing quite interesting and had me clamouring to know how it all works out. Bring on the next book!

Degrees of Acceptance is book two in the Prestian Series, and even better than the first. Mari has this writing style, a way to create characters that you want to be or know, and a storyline that simply just draws you in. The attention in this book is just another way I am so drawn into this series, this world, and this author. The book takes off right where book one left off and let me tell ya, you will be wanting to read book three as soon as you read the end. ANOTHER FIVE STAR from this author that I could not put down, simply an amazing book! Katarina is about to embark on a journey to meet the man that is her father, she throws caution into the wind and wanting to get to know a man she never had the chance to meet growing up all while still trying to deal with the journey of her journey with Chase and herself. Chase wants her and those that she loves to be safe, from her father’s world and even his own. Katarina now must come to terms and learn to handle the world of which her father and Chase are a part of and see the power they both have!

Degrees of Innocence by Via Mari is the first book in the Prestian Series and a read that I was really able to lose myself in. Via Mari was able to give readers a book with pleasure, intrigue, erotic encounters, and such suspense you are drawn in from page one. This was the first book by this author and I can say it sure won’t be my last. The characters are strong and very easy to get attached to, the writing OUT OF THIS WORLD, and a story line that is very believable. I know that now I can not wait to read the rest in this series and get more from Chase and Katarina and see what wonderfulness Mari has in store in this series! Katarina, is haunted by her past and also the past of her own mother. She hides behind her career and doesn’t mind having a life outside of that until she meets Chase Prestian, one of the most powerful men in the world. Chase knows he wants her, and will not give up until he does. When these two crash into together a new world of money, jeopardy, and a ride into some of the most sexual desires one could long for. This journey helps Katarina overcome so much from her past, his past, and the control of a man that she has given herself to.
This 5 star book and author quickly have become a favorite and I can’t wait to read more and more! I highly recommend this book to people who love Erotica, suspense, and a good book to get lost in!

Degrees of Innocence by Via Mari is the first book in the Prestian series. I was expecting a hot and steamy story and I wasn’t disappointed at all.
Katarina and Chase have a great story about how they first meet. Who knew that one small moment would have such a big impact.
Chase is a thousand percent alpha but doesn’t come across as a jerk when he slipped into the alphabets. There were a few things he did that I might have to suggest to the hunny.
Katarina makes me a little sad but also managed to make me mad. I don’t understand why there is such a lack of communication at times. This book is just the beginning of the series and must be read before the others. The next books are already on my to be read list. Can’t wait to see what happens next!

Degrees of Innocence (The Prestian Series book 1) Via Mari
Periodically I have to go for medication infusions which last a couple hours at a time so I’m constantly looking for a good book to help me escape the boredom. I stumbled across Degrees of Innocence while looking for my most recent read and I was really intrigued by the synopsis. Via Mari is a new to me author so I wasn’t sure what to expect from this book but knowing it was book one of a series I was hopeful I had found my next set of escapes for a while. I wasn’t disappointed when I started Degrees of Innocence, I was actually a little surprised at how quickly I was drawn into the storyline and captured by the characters. This story was unique with well written twists and turns that left me on the edge of my seat but there were aspects that still left a familiar feel which I welcomed (like the usage of email communication). I’m really impressed with how strong the storyline was written with a balance of incredibly steamy romance but substance and intrigue. I’m hooked and looking forward to carrying on more with the series.

It is the first book I have read by the writer and I promise you, you will find me reading all the other stories in the series as well! I NEED to know how their story develops and ends … Degrees of Innocence is the story of Katarina Meilers and Chase Prestian. Katarina is a professional design consultant and Chase is one of the wealthiest and most powerful men in the world. And how do they meet, you would ask me, and … they meet when Katarina is doing a CPR on a guy who collapsed at the resort they are both at, and Chase comes and takes over when Katarina is at the end of her ‘rope’. What a way to meet! What a start on a journey into the world of opulent wealth and danger and … of sexual exploration … I loved the way the writer told the story, the way she mixed erotica with suspense … she gave us a story that is not just some spicy steamy erotica but that also keeps us asking ‘what the heck is going on???!!!’. I loved how respectfully the writer dealt with the BDSM aspect of the story and how real the budding relationship felt! I cannot wait to tackle the next story in the series and to find out where the journey will take us!

What will Kate do with Chase pursuing her? Will she let the chemistry flow!
Via Mari has a way with her words. Her writing style flows with ease and keeps you engaged. Her writing pulls you in from the first word to the last. The characters are well developed, easy to connect with and very real. I cannot wait to see what happens next in the series.
