A Sweet Christmas: A Sweet Confections Novella by Nicole Richards – Review by Rachel Moss

A Sweet ChristmasA Sweet Christmas by Nicole Richard
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This was a really good book! At the beginning I wasn’t too sure about this one, because it seemed like the story was going really fast and was just going to lose traction and be a fluff story but I really enjoyed this novella (it did feel more like a novel to me) once I got about 25% of the way in. I enjoyed the Christmas and the Sweet (get it? Haha) theme was present in this novel. The characters were relatable and it was easy to get lost in the story. This was steamy, romantic and overall a relatable story. I was originally going to give this book 4 stars but by the time I got to the end I had tears in my eyes and couldn’t stop smiling so it’s definitely getting 5 stars from me! Thank you author for writing such a great holiday story!

Love’s Reverie (The Stardust Duet, Book 2) by KG Fletcher – Review by Rachel Moss

Love's Reverie (The Stardust Duet, #2)Love’s Reverie by K.G. Fletcher
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Love’s Reverie was a great sequel! I really enjoyed coming back to Kat and Phillip’s story and seeing it to the end. This was another heart wrenching tale of love, and having to find each other again. I still think I enjoyed the first book more than this one but this was amazing too. I absolutely love how well the story flows and how heartbreaking Fletcher manages to write this story. This had the perfect ending and I loved it, but I also hate that I don’t get to see their story unfolf anymore. This is definitely a story for the ages!

The Elements of the Crown (The Elements of Kamdaria Book 1) by Kay L. Moody – Review by Rachel Moss

The Elements of the Crown (The Elements of Kamdaria, #1)The Elements of the Crown by Kay L. Moody
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Elements of the Crown was an amazing story! This book was enthralling from the start and I had trouble putting it down. This book was packed full of suspense, action, fantasy and some romance as well. This book is based around elemental control and shaping those elements and I’ve never read a story quite like this one before. This book was entertaining, fast paced and action packed and I can’t wait to read the next book in this series!

Come Back Tomorrow (Embrace Tomorrow Duet Book 1) by Amy Argent – Review by Rachel Moss

Come Back Tomorrow (Embrace Tomorrow, #1)Come Back Tomorrow by Amy Argent
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Come Back Tomorrow was an amazing read! If you cry easily you may want to grab a box of tissues when you pick this book up because the tears can start very early and will flow continuously while reading this book! I loved the characters and fell in love with Will about as quickly as Tori did. I wanted to shake the crap out of Tori the entire time I was reading this novel though, and especially at the end! This book does end on a alight cliff hanger, and I absolutely can NOT wait to read the second! There’s so much left to find out!

Check In (Bobbins Sisters Series Book 2) by Debra Parmley – Review by Rachel Moss

Check InCheck In by Debra Parmley
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Check In was a good read. If you’re looking for an easy, quick read with a happy ending this one is for you. I felt a little rushed and there wasn’t a clear distinguished time period throughout the book and some scenes felt a little choppy and rushed but overall this was a really good book. The characters were likeable enough and the storyline was decent so this was a great book to me to read if you want to waste time but don’t want to get sucked into a longer, more drawn out novel. This is the first book I’ve read from Parmley again and I would read more in the future.

Blood Oath (Mafia Elite, book 2) by Amy McKinley – Review by Rachel Moss

Blood Oath (Mafia Elite, #2)Blood Oath by Amy McKinley
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Blood Oath was a good read. This is the second book in the Mafia Elite series by Amy McKinley. I enjoyed this book but it felt a little off to me. It took me a while to get into this one, and it felt like there was a lot of book story missing. Like there was another series before this one, and not just one book. The characters were great, and I was engaged and had some laughs and thrills. I just wasn’t as into this book as I wanted to be and I hate that. Maybe it was an off day of reading for me but this one just hasn’t been my favorite and I love McKinley’s books so much, so I was disappointed that I didn’t enjoy this one as much. Hopefully the next one will be better for me!

Rock Me To The Top (Gracefall: Vicious Love Tour) by Victoria Zak – Review by Rachel Moss

Rock Me To The Top (Gracefall: Vicious Love Tour Book One)Rock Me To The Top by Victoria Zak
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Rock Me To The Top was a great read! It was entertaining, romantic, spicy, and slightly suspenseful. I very much enjoyed reading about a band on tour. It definitely makes for an interesting story. I felt like this was more of a slow burn romance, but once the romance started it was spicy. I could hardly put this book down. Reading this I felt like I was right there with the characters. Zak did a great job with this story. I can’t wait to read the next installment in this series!

Snowfall Serenade (Soul Connection #3) by Nikki Lynn Barrett – Review by Rachel Moss

Snowfall Serenade (Soul Connection, #3)Snowfall Serenade by Nikki Lynn Barrett
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Snowfall Serenade was a really good read. I don’t think anything is going to come close to the magical, suspense filled treasure that was the first book but this was a great continuation of Zelda and Scott’s story. They go through trial after trial in this book, more than any couple should have to go through. This was an emotional, action packed book from the first chapter. This series is quickly becoming a favorite. I can’t wait to read the rest of the books Barrett is working on and planning for this series!

Ashes of Aldyr (The Obscured Throne Trilogy Book 1) by Russell Archey – Review by Rachel Moss

Ashes of AldyrAshes of Aldyr by Russell Archey
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Ashes of Aldyr was a really good book! The world building is so intricate and the characters are very well written and well done. This book is divided into different sections with different characters and stories that all center around one main ot and it’s just really unique and well done. This definitely a darker fantasy book, almost horror like in the way certain events are described. This book gave me chills and kept me up reading. This is an entirely new author to me and I’m so glad I picked this book up. I can’t wait to read the next book in this trilogy!

Fool Me Twice by Gledé Browne Kabongo – Review by Rachel Moss

Fool Me TwiceFool Me Twice by Glede Browne Kabongo
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Fool Me Twice was a really good read! It was a great story and I enjoyed going on this thrilling ride. However, I feel like the story was drug out. I felt like it could have met the same ending with less fluff in the middle. I found it dragging for me throughout the novel. And the characters. I loved seeing the different dynamics of each person, but I really wish the author could have had all of them in the third person narratives instead of all of them third person except for Shelby, and have her first person. I didn’t enjoy that and it made the story a little confusing when it switched between the characters. Overall this was a great read that I enjoyed but I felt I would have enjoyed it more if it wasn’t so prolonged.

Cursed Luck (Broderick Coven Book 5) by AJ Renee – Review by Rachel Moss

Cursed Luck (Broderick Coven, #5)Cursed Luck by A.J. Renee
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Cursed Luck was a really good read! This was a quick and easy read. I thoroughly enjoyed this sweet, romantic, steamy edition to the Broderick Coven Series. Each book gets better and better I think but I still can’t figure out which installment was my favorite. I was easily lost in this book. When I picked it up I hardly wanted to put it down, the pages just flew by. I loves reading Edward’s story and finally getting some details on the most mysterious of the Broderick brothers. I hope there is another book in this series, but I did see at the end where Renee is starting a series on the Alumbra pack and definitely can’t can’t to read those when they release!

The Guardian’s Legacy (The Coin of Time series Book 1) by Luciana Cavallaro – Review by Rachel Moss

The Guardian's Legacy (Coin of Time, #1)The Guardian’s Legacy by Luciana Cavallaro
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The Guardian’s Legacy was a really good read! I enjoyed so many aspects of this quick novel. The history, the Greek retellings, the entire pace of the novel. So much was there to keep me entertained and hold my focus while reading. The Greek mythology was a amazing to me. I love reading anything that has to do Greek history and their gods, and the fact that this book and the premise of the story was based around them was incredible to me. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this novel and I can’t wait to see what happens next in the next installment of this series!

Wild Desire (The Protectors Series Book 1) by Toya Richardson – Review by Rachel Moss

Wild Desire (The Protectors, #1)Wild Desire by Toya Richardson
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Wild Desire was a good read. This is the first book out of this series I’ve read before. I wasn’t sure what exactly to expect when I picked this book up besides some romance and paranormal shifters. I was not expecting the steam! This book was probably about 70% steam and spicy content. This book had a great storyline, but I feel like it could have been executed better. There was a ton of chances to throw some suspense in there and more action and excitement and it was kind of just skipped over for more sex scenes. I enjoyed reading this book it just didn’t hold my interest like I really wanted it to. I hope the next books in this series gets better! This has potential to be an amazing series!

Love’s Refrain (The Stardust Duet, Book 1) by KG Fletcher – Review by Rachel Moss

Love's Refrain (The Stardust Duet, #1)Love’s Refrain by K.G. Fletcher
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Love’s Refrain was such a good read! I was blown away by the time I got to the end of this book! I will admit at the beginning, I was feeling very iffy with the storyline and it seemed very strange to me, but as I kept reading I was completely enraptured and entranced. This was such a beautiful story the author told. I know the author says it’s based on around a movie or inspired by a movie, but I have never seen the movie so I was completely surprised at the storyline of this book. I cried while reading. It was so heartbreaking and so romantic it completely took me through the wringer of emotions. I’m so glad there’s going to be a sequel featuring Kat and Phillip!

Entwined: A Cinderella Retelling (Stone and Cinder Book 1)Entwined: A Cinderella Retelling by A.L. Morrow
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Entwined was an incredible read! I was originally caught by the cover because it was so pretty! I was expecting a short, sweet and to the point retelling of the classic Cinderella tale, but what I got was much better! This was a steamy and spicy read, enthralling, fast paced, and ends on a cliff hanger. I absolutely can not wait for the next installment to this! I was gripped from the beginning, my jaw dropped, I was in suspense throughout the whole thing. If you think the step mother is evil in the classic story you have no idea until you read this! I highly recommend this read!

Something Lost was a really good read! It was entertaining, romantic, emotional and had some funny bits in it as well. If you’re looking for a feel good, happy ending type of story this one is it. Bernadette Marie’s books all seem to follow a similar style and this one is no different. Picking up one of her books is like a comfort because you always know what to expect. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book and I can’t wait to read the next installment in this series!

Runaway to the Outback was a really good read! So far I can’t tell which one is my favorite but this one was just as good as the first! I did enjoy the beginning of this one more, it was more mysterious in a way and definitely more entertaining. I also loved that this book let us see what happened to Ryan and Sindy after the first book. This series is quickly becoming a favorite because the characters are so relatable. I can’t wait to read the next installment of this series!

The Bow was a great read! This book was interesting, entertaining and enthralling. It felt like a really quick read as well. There were so many steamy scenes, that is definitely an 18+ read. I still can’t tell which book so far has been my favorite, but I enjoyed this one much more than the second one so far. I absolutely love the world and characters that Hazel Storm has created in this series. I can’t wait to read the next installment!

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Scarlet Princess was incredible! I honestly couldn’t put this book down! It was completely enthralling and honestly addicting from the first page and chapter. This book was romantic, hilarious, thrilling and extremely entertaining. Reading this book went so quickly. I absolutely loved the main character Rowan. She had the most feisty personality that gets her into trouble but I don’t think I would love her if she didn’t. I absolutely can not wait for the next installment of this series to come out. The cliff hanger definitely left me wanting more!

No Way Out (Mafia Elite, #1)No Way Out by Amy McKinley
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

No Way Out was a really good, entertaining read! Amy McKinley never disappoints with her novels and this one was no exception. My only complaint to this novel was it felt like there were a few plot holes and missing concepts. A few scenes had me confused because it seemed like some content was left out. Other than that I could hardly put this book down! It was entertaining, spicy, thrilling and full of action. I absolutely can not wait to read the next installment of this series and see what happens next!

Return to Alpha by Wesley Britton – Review by Rachel Moss

Return To Alpha: A new saga beginsReturn To Alpha: A new saga begins by Wesley Britton
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Return To Alpha was an interesting read. This one threw me off a bit, it was entertaining, but I think the whole concept just went over my head. This is very much a sci-fi book. The concepts and stories featured in this book were very interesting and entertaining, I just couldn’t personally keep up with all the names and characters and events and terms. It was a little much for me to keep straight in my head. This story was very original and unique to me in those regards, I just had so much trouble concentrating on everything that was mentioned. I hate that I didn’t love this book as much as I wanted to but I know there are some sci-fi people out there that will absolutely devour this novel! This novel was very well written, it just wasn’t the one for me but I still definitely recommend it!

Caine (Men of Syn, #2)Caine by Anise Storm
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Caine was a really good read. This is the second book in the Men Of Syn series. The storyline of this book was really good, but to me it lacked that special spark the first book had. I enjoyed reading this book and it was very spicy. I just didn’t like this one as much as the first. I enjoyed getting to see more of Emery though. Her character development throughout this novel was incredible to watch unfold. Caine had some development too that was enjoyable to experience as well. Overall I really enjoyed this book. It can be read as a standalone but you would get more from reading the previous novel first.

Notebook Mysteries ~ Decisions and Possibilities by Kimberly Mullins – Review by Rachel Moss

Notebook Mysteries ~ Decisions and PossibilitiesNotebook Mysteries ~ Decisions and Possibilities by Kimberly Mullins
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Notebook Mysteries: Decisions & Possibilities was a good read. I fell in love with this cover when I first saw it and was automatically drawn in from the beautiful characters and design on the front. I was expecting this amazing mystery story with a female lead. I got the female lead, and this book had a myriad compilation of women empowerment scenes, especially for the story being set in the late 1800s. I enjoyed that aspect but for some reason I wasn’t able to be fully drawn into this story like I wanted to. It just felt off to me. I’m not sure if it was an off reading day but it just didn’t vibe well with me. I enjoyed reading it I just kept getting distracted and the storyline just couldn’t hold my attention. Maybe the next one will be better for me!

Forbidden Mate was a really good read! I enjoyed this installment of The Shadow Chronicles much better than the first. To me it seemed like there was more action and excitement. I enjoyed seeing more of the Lycan and Vamp bond, and the treaty that allows them to work together. There were a lot of twists and turns and happenings in this story and that made it a quick read. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this novel and can’t wait to see what happens next!

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Boy Released was a really interesting read! This is the sequel to the novel Boy On Hold and this can be read as a standalone but it does make more sense and you get the whole back story if you read Boy On Hold first. This was very interesting as Tyler has schizophrenia and it was very interesting just reading inside his mind, and how it works and is wired differently. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this one better than the first. I’m not sure why but this one just held my attention better and I flew through it. It was so quick to read and was enthralling all the way through. I really enjoyed this one and highly recommend it!

HER DARK LOVE (DARK SPELL SERIES Book 4) by ISRA SRAVENHEART – Review by Rachel Moss

Her Dark Love (Dark Spell #4)Her Dark Love by Isra Sravenheart
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Her Dark Love was a really good prequel I guess? I’m not sure what exactly to call it but the author does take us back to before before main villains (characters) turn evil. So it was nice to go back. I can’t recall many of the characters though, I’ve only read the second book and it was awhile back so my memory wasn’t up to date when I picked this one up. But since it is taking us back in time I don’t think that’s really relevant. It was hard for me to get into though. It felt like the story was rushed and they went from one scene to another without taking appropriate measures on showing the reader how they got there. And it was very stop and start like reading a fairytale. Overall I enjoyed the story, but hate that I couldn’t enjoy it more than I wanted to or would have liked.

The God (Her Three Immortals, #2)The God by Hazel Storm
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The God was a really good read. It was enthralling and kept me interested throughout the whole book. I have one complaint though. The sex scenes. I don’t understand how someone has transcend realms and have dream sex like that. That was very weird to me. But besides that strange occurrence throughout I really enjoyed this novel! And I think my favorite character so far in this book was Gorgonita. She was so awesome and I thought hilarious as well. I thoroughly enjoyed this sequel and can’t wait to read the next!
