This is a fantastic continuation of an exciting YA story. I would recommend reading this series in order as book 2 picks up from where book one left off. I was instantly pulled back into this story and the characters. It was as though I had move from one book straight into the next. This book is even better than the first one. I enjoyed the fact that you could see clear development through the stories, it felt like we were getting to know the characters even more. This book adds so much to the series as a whole and I am looking forward to whatever is next.

This is a wonderfully creative story and a great discovery of an author that is new to me. I was pulled straight into this book with such imaginative word-building and character development. It had me hooked before I was at the end of the first chapter. I was intrigued but the world the author had designed and wanted to know more about it. I loved the characters as well. There were some strong personalities and I loved the depth they added to the story. You could clearly see development throughout the book and it made me want to read more. I am excited to have discovered a new series and a new author.

I am not a fan of mafia romance but I enjoyed this. There were great scenes (especially the staircase) as well as a good flow. The characters were well developed. I am glad that I picked this up. I really like this author a lot and look forward to reading more.

I really liked the forensic anthropology angle of this. Trudy and Bend were great characters (Ben having a cat was an added bonus for me.) I liked the plot and would like to know some of the supporting characters a little more. I liked the feel of this book best of the ones that I read. I would definitely read more by this author.

This was a good read. Definitely felt Lexi’s pain over Robert. This book was character driven and had good interpersonal relationships. It had a different feel to it than the other one. I liked the mix of genres.

I live for anything to do with horror, but this one greatly surpassed what I had hoped for. Spiders, a creepy allure, stunning writing, holy cow, I fell in love so easily with this book and author! Perfect October read!
Now, I do love a good horror read, but this one certainly fueled some of my worst fears…spiders. Needless to say this was a book well wroth a read. It was a must read. The book horrified me at scenes, and intrigued me to wanting more at the same time I enjoyed the story and the plot. If you love horror, then no longer look no further, because you have found your match! I loved the book being told from Missy’s perspective. A child’s mind is unlike an adult, so when Fred comes to show what he is really all about, the feelings Missy felt and her fear, was greatly valid. I loved the horror and creepiness this book gave off. I loved her supportive dad as well. The spiders, the scary stuff, the deaths, the writing was exceptional! Amazing read! I truly loved it!
A perfect horrific read with all the elements you would hope in a book that would rattle your bones, your mind, and make you want to check behind you as you read Highly recommend this must read book!
I LOVED this story! It is vastly entertaining! I enjoyed the fast pace and the lovely characters! It all just blended together perfectly to make a sweetly charming story. There are many humorous moments that made me laugh out loud.
The characters are well done and yet flawed at the same time. I was excited to get to know them! They really are likable and/or lovable and I enjoyed them immensely. The interactions between the two main personalities is one of my favorite things about this story. Watching them get together is the sweetest. Secondary characters are just as delightful. I liked that there were a limited number of characters that I could learn about and love. Too many and it is easy to get lost but this book isn’t like that at all.
I could write more and more about what I loved about this book. My best suggestion is just to get it and enjoy it yourself. I could not have asked for a better story from a new to me author than between the Viking and the Battle Pixie. Get it! You wont be sorry!

I had loved the prior book in the series, and this one certainly does not disappoint in any way! I loved the story continued perfectly from where we left off on in the series. Needless to say, I was hooked!
Again, the author amazed and intrigued me as I read this installment in the series. I really enjoyed Chloe again in this book, she really has come a long way. I especially enjoyed the descriptions of when we had the battles of fae against humans It was vivid, written with intelligence, and visually stunning to picture. The book had a lot of suspense and action, I was gripped all the way through. I enjoyed Quintus already, and I enjoyed him even more now! The book was a book worth waiting to read, absolutely loved it!
Greatly written with strong anticipation as well as exctiment. I could not put it down. Was impossible not to love and see how this book would turn out. A must read for sure. Without a doubt, I highly recommend!

I have enjoyed other books by this author, but this one certainly has taken the cake in my opinion! I loved the story line, the characters, and the romantic suspense that came with it!
The concept was thrilling as well as gripping. The characters were indulging as well as showing great character development, as well as how deeply with details the author had written them. Trudy and Ben were great lead characters, and enjoyed the other characters as well. The story was really intriguing. I am a girl who loves talking bones, so of course there was strong appeal for me haha. The story flowed nicely an was easy to follow. Enjoyed the suspense, and twists that the author gave us. Great read. Loved it!
This book is a must read for me, and I wish I could read it again for the first time! I was hooked and at the edge of my seat till the end! Highly recommend this author, book as well as series! For sure a must read!

This was my first time reading any of this author’s work and I’m sure it won’t be the last as I really enjoyed reading Defying Ella. Although this is the 4th book in a series, it can be read as a standalone. I hadn’t read any of the previous books in the series and didn’t feel that the author had left any gaps. All necessary information needed to enjoy and understand this story is given. In this book we get the story of drummer Jared and Ella who is the sister of another band member’s girlfriend. Jared comes across as a bit of an ass at the beginning but as his story unravels you find a very complex, tortured soul who just needs that special person to make him see who he truly is. I absolutely loved reading Jared’s story, although I admit I really wanted to slap him a few times. He really meets his match in Ella. And when they are snowed in together she realises that he has issues and is there to help him cope through the dark times. I loved Jared and Ella’s story. It’s angsty and hot all rolled into one. I was hooked from the very beginning and loved the journey right up to the very end. I definitely recommend this book.

Another new author for me, I was not sure what to expect from this book. What I found is a really delightful story told from the perspective of three different individuals. It has drama, romance, and family meddling. Once I got a couple of chapters into the story I was laughing so hard I was crying. It did take me a little to get into the story but once I did I could not put it down. The author did an excellent job making the readers feel as though they were right in the middle of this story. I was also fascinated with the inner workings of a radio station. It made me appreciate what they do because I thought it would be a much easier job. I recommend this story for any readers that enjoy rom coms.

There is nothing better than a Paranormal Romance mixed with benies. This is Wednesday Friday and Rykers story. They are 2 different shifters enjoying their friendships and the benies that go with that. But their love for each other has to stay hidden and Ryker has a soulmate out there waiting for him. Hey the Benies for now are great for Wen and Ryker. What follows next is what you will have to find out for yourself by reading this story.This author mixes laughter and paranormal romance with tears in this story. I enjoyed reading Wen and Rykers story. It was fast paced and a quick read for me. Kept me entertained and now I must go and read this series from the beginning. Rafe is the main male character and is so strong while being so gentle. He is so gentle with the character named Ellie. He was the type of boyfriend you want for yourself but able to dream about but can only read. He knew what to say, he was so on love with Ellie he didn’t know what to do with himself. He would do anything for her to keep her safe and just so she could have. He let her be Ellie and let her be herself which she desperately needed. Rafe needed someone to tell him he deserved to be loved. He was so hard on himself and he needed someone to support him. Rafe was real hard on himself and he needed someone to tell him he was worth it. Ellis was a wonderful character, she was strong and tender all in one. The whole time reading I thought I thought I knew what was going to happen but I really didn’t. I like those type of books. I would have liked the climax of it all to have lasted a little longer but it didn’t take anything away from the magic of the book or these two characters. Friends to lovers is a very good thing in my book I like those type of books. And ‘Into the Light’ has that and a lot of it. It was a truly beautiful story that kept me turning the page to find out what was going to happen at the end. This is definitely going to be one on my list that will be read over and over again. In fact, I think the whole series is one that I will read again and again. Kate’s writing style is one that pulls you in and keeps you in. Kate also writes romance and relationships with a beautiful flair that has me smiling so many times throughout each of her books. She’s an exceptional author. I absolutely loved reading this book.

I love the way Lois Wickstrom weaves science and life lessons together. In the story “Just One More Egg” we not only get the science-y reasons behind the benefits (and the disadvantages) of having a cuckoo’s egg in your nest, but we also learn the life lesson of helping others even when those around us don’t understand and try to talk us out of it. I love the illustrations and the simplicity of the book. Great story!

Book 2 in the series does an incredible job at picking up in the series where we left off. Chloe, Quintus, Mishti, Elora, and Brannick are fighting the war against the mortals. They are still trying to save the Fae from iron poisoning. This story is full of action, lots of fantasy, drama, suspense, and a little romance. There are a few subplots going on. The author ties them all in so well that it all still runs so smooth. That ending! Cliffhanger, didn’t see that coming…I can’t wait for the next book. This is definitely one of the best YA fantasy series I’ve read.

I love this series. Trudy and Ben came together when a set of skeletal remains were found after a large explosion. This story has a way of pulling you in and you are totally engaged in the story. There is romance, drama, suspense and mystery. The story runs flawlessly through the book. There are some twists. These bring things back together smooth. The characters were well-developed and easy to relate to. I’ts been a real treat to read this series. This author writes in a way that makes you feel like you are there in the middle of the story with them.

It’s been a while since I have read a rock star romance, and Morgana Bevan reminded me why I love them so much!
To say Ella and Jared can’t stand one another would be an understatement, and almost everyone believes it’s because Jared lives up to every horrible rock star stereotype there is…womanizer, conceited, the list could go on and on. No one knows that these two spent a steamy and romantic week together before they knew who the other one was. Thankfully, she can escape him at a gorgeous, secluded cabin in the Alps, or so she thinks. Turns out he has the same idea and now the two of them are stranded together in the cabin in a snowstorm. Let the fireworks begin!!!!
I rarely give a book 5 stars when I really don’t like one of the lead characters, in this case, Jared. However, I thought it was genius on Bevan’s part. She made me really feel something for a character even if it was frustration and anger. I felt the same feelings Ella did, and that is exactly what every writer wants their reader to feel, an emotional reaction to their characters. Somewhere in the middle of the book, my feelings began to change just as Ella’s did. I began seeing why his behavior ran so hot and cold…fear. Then, my heart started melting, and I began to fall for him, again just like Ella.
I have said a lot about Jared, now it’s Ella’s turn. Oh my goodness, this woman has more patience than I would have had. She could sling insults back at Jared, but nothing that ripped him to the core. Yet, she always saw him for who he was, not the rock star, but who he was. She knew there was something special underneath all the arrogance he showed to everyone else. What was even more special about her, she wasn’t perfect either. She didn’t have her life figured out, but she never gave up when it came to the direction of her professional life or her feelings for Jared.
Now, that I have dissected the characters, I will address the story itself. I loved it! There was sweetness, angst, and lots of steam. If that wasn’t enough, Bevan addressed something that is plaguing so many people today, anxiety. As someone who suffers from it myself, I appreciate her bringing a spotlight to it. I hope that Jared’s story will bring light to someone who may be suffering from it. Thank you, Morgana Bevan, for giving your readers such a fantastic book!

Defying Ella is the fourth book in the True Platinum Series and is a Rock Star Romance/ Contemporary Romance that I truly enjoyed reading. This is a fairly new author to me and I’m definitely going to be going back and checking out the other books in this series . This is a fast paced story that I couldn’t stop reading. I had to know what was going to happen next. This authors style of writing and attention to detail along with amazing characters make for a wonderful story. These two have great chemistry and seem to need one another more than they may think. What will happen when they find themselves in a cabin snowed in for several days? I highly recommend reading this standalone story to find out what happens next. I’m looking forward to reading more from this Author.

I was excited to read this book as not a continuation of book 2, but to see where book 2 took me. I was not disappointed! Emilien being a cursed werewolf, wants nothing but his previous life back. His beautiful wife and daughter. With the disappearance of his brother and sister and law, he decides to refocus and try and find them knowing he wont get his life back. When thing come to an interesting turn of events an he has to work with his wife the queen of the dead Hel, things start looking up, or so he hopes. Hel is not looking forward to working with her estranged husband again. They bicker like and old married couple, and can never seems to make decisions. Hel only wants one thing, the daughter she was forced to give up. In this second tale, we come across more mythology and monsters and some of the supernatural. The ending begs a few questions that I desperately want to know the answer!

This book is something I haven’t really read before. This author mixes fantasy, Norse Mythology, and American history all in one book and she does it wonderfully. It has a good balance and it maintains that balance throughout the book. Greif stricken Bernard Marchand, has lost everything he hold dear to him and is a survivor. He meets Alva and he almost believes he can breathe and live again, but he still wants his family back from the dead. He accidentally sets of a series of events that not even Alva is sure she can save them both from. With two strong leads in this book, the reader is never left wanting. Wanting more, yes, but as I read, I was sated with what I was reading. The words playing across my mind like a movie. I can’t wait to see what book 2 brings!

This book reminded me of one of Sophie Kinsella romances, a laugh out loud romantic comedy. The two protagonists are very strong willed and have a personality of their own. They are very independent, one hates asking for help and the other hates to be taken advantage of. What happens when their personalities clash? There is a lot of quirks, banter, sparks, tender emotions, pets, rescue, debate, and some drama thrown in. It is fun,lot of gimmicks, I really enjoyed this book. Will check out more from this author.

I really enjoyed reading this! When I first picked it up I was excited to try a new title from an author I had read some Young Adult material from (Notebook Mysteries). As I was reading, several names popped up that were also in those books and at first I was a bit confused not realizing they were connected until I was a bit further in.
The author enjoys going back and forth between past and present within her books and it can get a little confusing if it’s not something you are used to. However, I feel like it was much easier to follow in this book and I enjoyed the glimpses into Lottie’s past to help solidify where she was in the present state of mind.
Fun, somewhat suspenseful read and I’m looking forward to more.

Friends with Benies is the seventh book in the Paris in Springtime series and is a Paranormal Romance that once you start reading there’s no stopping until you finish. I wasn’t real sure what to expect going in since this is my first AMBW read but 8 definitely wasn’t disappointed. This is a super fun read and is a standalone so if you’re like me and didn’t realize it before starting. I’m definitely adding the others to my list to read. This is a cute story about Wednesday and Ryker these two have been best friends forever and she wants him for herself but knows they can’t be together because of him having a mate out there somewhere . This book is an indulgence for your senses, the story is told from 3 different perspectives, Annie, Robbie and Cat, the protagonists describe what it is like to work in a music record studio.
Cat and Annie organize a song writing contest, which Robbie joins on the orders of their boss, which at first seems like a disaster ends up making the event even more incredible. Throughout the contest, Cat explains how her life is based on what music makes her feel, and how her work at the teen activity center fills her with a fullness that she didn’t think she would achieve. Annie for her part demonstrates the challenge of being a single mother who has an incredible talent for singing and instills love for music in her child. They must face his father when he returns after abandoning them when she told him about her pregnancy . Robbie, who at the beginning is shown as a villain, turns out to be a hidden genius in business and management of musical talent, his life is filled with love for music as well as the care of his brother, whose special needs allow him to be an organized store of music. and songs.Along their narrative the common problems surrounding them will try to crush the mental and physical health> drugs, money and unknown outcomes tainted the goals, but they will fight to overcome them.
Thanks to the work carried out by the 3, the stories are spun in a way that friendship and love merge into a story full of complex feelings and musical notes.

This book was so different from what I usually read, but I am glad I read it. Out of nowhere Dex and his family’s lives completely change and they have to find a way to stop the intruders. Once I started I was unable to stop reading, and could not wait to see what the author had in store for us next. It is a fast-paced thriller and action-packed!! He does an excellent job setting the plot and describing the characters. I will absolutely be looking forward to more of his books.
Ice Dance is not your typical fantasy tale. It is an original comedic urban fantasy that the author said is inspired by swashbuckling adventures of the past. Who was I to say no when I saw this. The fun tale will have you enjoying the authors wit and humour. This venture in to a new world where there are twists and you don’t know what you will get.
Vik’s unique writing style draws the reader in to a mystical world of magic but it is not always your normal magic. Is this a thing ‘normal magic’? Any way I digress.
Expect the unexpected and you will be free to enjoy this tale.
When I found out there was going to be a second book of the Kingdom of the Elf Lords series I was ecstatic and this book definitely lived up to my excitement. The author does a fantastic job at continuing to build on the magical world introduced to us in the first book, but focusing on his uncle Emilien rather than Bernard. The paranormal undertones of the book made it a wonderful choice of book for spooky season, and I also continue to love the inclusion of the lesser-known Norse Mythology details in the series.
The story of Emilien and his love the Ice Queen Hel presents an interesting twist on the series. I love that even though they are being forced to work together you can still tell how deeply they care for one another. I’m excited to see what happens in the story of Cyran and Shalendra!

This delicious friends to lover’s romance tale as all the hotness and sexiness and action that you could want. With danger around every corner, steamy fiery passion, many secrets, an abundance of lies, fear and hope, angst and age-old secrets, Nicole knows how to keep the reader engaged.
Jude will stop at nothing to find his sister but putting another life in danger doesn’t sit well with him and then his fears come to fruition. Can he keep her safe?
Sienna is the master of blending in but when others find her secrets, she is no longer safe. Can she rely on herself or does she need help?
