4/5 Stars This book was an easy read, enemies to lovers comedy. I did find it to be a little hard to get into at the beginning but after I got through a couple of chapters, I liked it. Georgia & Hudson are both likable characters, but I wish they had more natural chemistry. I enjoyed their pets being an added element to the story. It gave an additional I didn’t know the story needed!

Great Story, with a unique take on the supernatural. I was drawn in from page one. Loved the characters and the storyline, so full of adventure. There is a lot going on so definitely pay attention, which I enjoy. makes me not want to put the book down. Definitely can’t wait for more.

I’m all for horror books! Especially ones that give you the creepy crawlies! This story is written from the perspective of a little girl named Missy that has a very unique friend not everyone can see. Little does she know how dangerous this friend can be. Things really get out of hand and there may not be anyone that can help free her from this friend. This doesn’t stop her dad from doing everything he can to set her free.This story will have you checking your surroundings for little eight legged followers. I really enjoyed this authors easy writing style and forward to more of their books!

The Virus of Beauty (The Virus of Beauty Book 1) by C.B. Lyall. This is such a good young adult fantasy read. Its the story of Wilf Gilvary who has magic abilities but is terrified to use it. He is afraid that if he uses it and something goes wrong it could really hurt someone. He likes to pretend he is just a normal boy. There is a terrible virus going around among the witches and once his friend catches it he realizes he has to do something. Wilf’s dad has died suddenly and he finds himself in the midst of a battle between the witches and wizards. He doesn’t realize but he may be the only one with magic strong enough to stop the battle. Wilf has to overcome his fear of his magic in order to save his friend and all the witches. There are battles upon battles that will keep you flipping pages late in the night. Even though this was a young adult read I really enjoyed it. Read The Virus of Beauty to see if Wilf overcomes his fear of his magic to save his friends!

Moby’s dad is a Marine and is deploying right before her birthday. He leaves her a present, a bamboo flute, to open after he’s gone. The flute won’t play and she is really disappointed but after a while she gives up and forgets about it. When she talks to her dad he encourages her to keep trying. She discovers the problem with the flute and this leads to her continuing to try in other areas, which is unusual for Moby because she has a habit of giving up on any kind of effort forward.
This is a cute book that opens up the opportunity to discuss many life lessons with your child or students. There are additional talking points and activities included in the back of the book. The illustrations are beautiful and are done by the author.

Ella and Jared are the main characters in Defying Ella. The plot is full of tension, hatred, anxiety, and vulnerability. Instead of a relaxing vacation, Ella is stuck with Jared, and they are constantly bickering, and getting in each other’s way. Eventually, they learn to enjoy one another’s company and maybe even understand each other. Will their newfound respect for one another last beyond rescuing? Only time will tell. A classic enemy-to-lovers story! Defying Ella is part of a series, but this book can be read as a standalone. Be prepared to read this captivating story in no time at all because you won’t want to put it down. Defying Ella gives the reader a realistic look at anxiety. As anxiety presents itself differently from one person to the next, it was refreshing to see something other than only panic attacks from the affected.

The Gauntlet is the very first book from The Soppranaturale Series by Ashley Pagano. This story takes you right in to the setting of a hotel, known in the supernatural world to be a safe haven for those with magical abilities, and known in the human world to simply be haunted. Link is a fae who works at the front desk of the hotel. While he is working, the only other fae in the world walks into the hotel with her fiancé, and his life completely changes. He feels an intense energy in her presence that he cannot fathom ignoring. Eventually they interact, and he finds himself saying too much and doing things he said he’d never do again.
This book has a bit of everything supernatural, which I always love. It was a very fast-paced read but there was so much within the pages to pull you right into the story and make you feel like you’re there with them. I really enjoyed this read from beginning to end and I definitely look forward to the next book. Also, I must say the cover to this book is absolutely beautiful!

This is a deliciously dark, enemies to lovers, mafia romance that I promise will make your toes curl with all the sexual tension.
Salvatore Larussio’s life just got a whole lot more interesting, due to some unfortunate circumstances Salvatore’s (or sal as his family call him) cousin steps down and next in line to become head of the family “business” putting sal in line for the thrown. But with great power comes great responsibility and a turf war the likes of which we’ve never seen.
Natasha, is a bold, feisty, smart beautiful woman and doctor who’s recently taken a position as running a clinic in the Larussio’s casino, but what no one knows is the job isn’t what brought Natasha, it was a long held vendetta against the Larussio’s.
Will Natasha get her revenge before she falls pray to the dark eyes and smoldering look of her new boss. Will Sal come out on top of these mafia wars and secure his territory and the safety of his family, or will the both fall together.
All and all a splendid read, I love the premise of the story, it was a mafia romance but with a twist, very refreshing and fun to read something outside of the norm. I’m a big enemies to love fan so this book hit the sweet spot, the relationship between the two main characters is an emotional, sexually charged rollercoaster in my opinion. Natasha is a take no crap, knows her worth, get things done type of girl which is one of the things that cause her to clash heads with Sal so much. Sal is your typical baddie, he knows he’s smoking hot, rich, powerful, all the things a mafia romance mc should be, so throwing a hard headed woman, who questions his every command and tests his every limit is *chef’s kiss* EVERYTHING.
I’m pretty excited to read not just more from this series but the author, the story was immaculate, the world and character building was well thought out and the spice was juuust right.
Who’s ready to see which Larusso man is next to meet his match?? This girl!

I am usually not a fan of poetry books, but I loved the eclectic cover of this and decided to check it out from my library. It was odd, full of different proses and quite good. It is not your typical poetry book. This book dived into everything from music to mental illness and quite a bit of everything in between. I personally loved the musical references especially those from the Beatles. It was full of beautiful, colorful pages. I highly recommend this if you are looking for poetry that is part Jerry Garcia and part Symon Maguru. I found it to be very hypnotic.

What a magical and adventurous book for the first in the series! I’m not sure how book 2, The Veil of Corruption, could get any better, but I am sure sticking around to find out. I lost quite a bit of sleep getting lost in this story, but I’m fine with it. Good books are worth staying up late for!
Our main character is Wilf Gilvary, who is a teenage wizard. He just wants to be a normal teenager and is not in favor of using his magic in pursuit of that normalcy. Once his friend catches the virus, his hand is forced into learning and using his magical abilities. The problem is that magic isn’t easy to pick up. Will he be able to save his friend, or will his fears impede his ability to learn it quick enough?
I truly loved this original YA fantasy. I am excited to see what the rest of the series brings. Don’t hesitate to pick it up now so you can binge the entire series like I’m about to!

Link works at The Soppranaturale to the unknowing eye, it is an up market hotel with all the glamour and pizazz the high rollers in society would want, plus a good old Irish bar in the basement and Link has been working there so long now that he is practically the owners right hand man. Ommily is a young woman who is on holiday with her fiancée and because she is obsessed with all things supernatural, she insists that they stay on one that is reportedly haunted.
The moment that Ommily walks in the door, all eyes are on her, men and women alike and she doesn’t seem to even have an idea, but Link is just as distracted as everyone else when he starts to check a man in at the front desk, but as soon as Ommily and Link set eyes on each other, there is a reaction that neither of them can deny. Thankfully, Links boss is there to give a hand and take over from him, at least until the two lovebirds move away to go to their room, this is where it is confirmed that that reaction was nothing normal, Link has just found the only other Faerie in the world and she is already taken.
This leads to Link drowning his sorrows and Ommily to wander into the bar just as he stops a fight breaking out, this leads to a question and answer session where Ommily finds out the truth she has always wanted to know, that werewolves, vampires and shapeshifters really exist and that she can be a part of their world, but unfortunately, her fiancée cannot. This leads to her finding out that together her and Link can be the strongest pair in the world with their opposite control of the uses of the four elements, but in order to be able to use these abilities to protect those around them, they first have to face The Gauntlet, but can they work together and make the hard decisions needed without killing each other first? This is a fantasy where life is not just black and white, humans and supernaturals, there is a balance which needs to be maintained and protecting that balance is the hardest thing to do and this is why this story will keep you engaged throughout as the fight for survival takes place.

Where to even start with this book. Funny, sexy, ambitious. The amazing storyline and I could relate and loved all the dynamics. Annie, Robbie, Cat, Dalooney, Lachie, Tony, and Diaz. Quite the characters in a book. Cat and Robbie were my favorites. I can’t forget Manny either though, the IT guy. The BIG BASEBALL bat had I been drinking something it would have come spraying out of my mouth. Poor Robbie, the funniest part of the book. Santi’s story, while he wasn’t a main character I could relate working with teenage boys, and know some of the stories I have been told I can imagine cats pain. Annie I wanted to slap her so hard for her poor choice while under stress but at the same time while I’d never do it could understand why she did, we are only human. She bounced back though. Overall this is one of the best adult books I have read and the title describes it well. Very Well.

Bycatch is Alexander’s well-crafted debut book. If this is his first book then I can’t wait to see what he does next because this was soooo good. This suspenseful historical thriller is one that you will not put down because you just have to know what is coming next so the pages keep turning.
This beautifully and cleverly written tale is an historical thriller takes us from one extreme to the next. From war to shrimp, from one continent to another and two men from completely different backgrounds and cultures but are forced together. Greed, secrets and lies, revenge and crimes, grief and remorse, guilt and forgiveness.
Alexander’s descriptive narrative and raw and flawed characters made this story come alive and showing how humanity is unforgiving in some ways and redeeming in others but life is a frail thing.
Aleander Blevens is one author for you to watch closely and savour his stories. I know I will.

Stumble & Fall is a psychological crime thriller and the second book in A Legacy of Silence trilogy. I read this book not realising that it is actually the second book. I have already started on the first book and will reread this one going forward as I just love these characters.
What a tangled web Amy has given us in this gripping tale and I was happily ensnared. It is an intense read that is full of mystery and tragedy, danger and suspense, corruption and action. There are some dark and heavy themes throughout so beware.
This story is so good that I am not leaving you with anything about it. It is fast paced and will have you hanging off every word and on the edge. The plot is cleverly woven with many masterful threads to bring it all together.
I am glad I stumbled across this author and I can’t wait to read the third book in this trilogy and uncover any remaining secrets.

WE Blend is a new adult contemporary rock star romance tale. I have heard of these two wonderful writers before but this is the first book I have read by them as one and I was not disappointed in any way shape or form. These clever ladies have given us a tale that is will make your heart flutter. There is drama and angst, secrets and risks along with slow burning romance.
I love that the story is told in my favourite form which is a duel POV because it gives us a deeper look at who the characters really are.
El and Wil take on the world of music but will their secrets and lies be too much?
If you have a passion for music and like a good story that is sweet, flirty, fun and heartfelt then look no further that something written by Willa Drew. I can’t wait to read more by this dynamic duo.

This book is the 4th Book in a 5 book series, but can be read as a stand-alone. I really enjoyed the idea of this story, and I just love Ella and that there was a snowstorm and they were stuck inside. . It started for me as a real page turner and then I found myself wishing there was more to the story in the middle. If your looking for a quick steamy read this one is for you.

The Serpent Awakens is an emotional psychological thriller. As with everything I have read by Luna it is well crafted and well written and flowed easily.
Our main character is self-absorbed and quite nasty and one character that you love to hate and hate to love. Nico is all about one thing and that is Nico. As we delve into his story of redemption you start to realise there is far more going on with this character. His journey is quite emotional and raw as he is laid bare showing all his bad but then we start to see there is some good. By the time you have finished the story you feel like you are the one on this beaten journey and have come out the other end.
This intriguing read well continue to play on your mind long after you have finished it such is the effect of Luna’s narrative.

This second book in the series follows the story of Emilien and Hel. They were married and in love until Emilien was cursed and turned into a wolf. He and their daughter left Hel and he became the guardian of his realm while Hel stayed in hers. This story has a few of the characters from the last book but is mostly a whole new plot line. I’m again happy for the glossary of people and characters, I just wish they had phonetic spelling too because I think I am saying all the names incorrectly! This book has magic, fighting, love, courage, and so much more. You travel through realms and time and see so much. There are multiple stories happening as they are all trying to figure out why the dead are leaving their realms. It ended pretty quickly but left an opening for the next book which will focus on Emilien and Hel’s daughter, Shalendra.

One of my favorite tropes is enemies to lovers, and this book just confirms that once again to me! I love the chemistry between them, and the plot was great as well. I love the world building the author did here, and I want to read more. The fact that it is Freemasons just really caught my attention. This was my first book to read of the series, but I could still hang with the story without feeling lost. Of course, I will go back and catch the first book.

This book was completely different from many other books that I have read. To be quite honest, I didn’t know if I liked it or didn’t like it, but at the same time, I could not put it down. Dex Sanders and his wife Reagan find themselves kidnapped and have no idea why. Thus begins a story of conspiracy and secrets so big it affects the entire world. I enjoyed the action as Dex and others fight the aliens from taking over the world and killing them. Also, the author made comments after every chapter. It was really interesting to read his thoughts. I loved the little side story of Pam and Connor. There will definitely be other books, and I look forward to reading them as well.

Perfect story! I loved this book! Read it in 2 days because I was addicted! Ella and Jared have a bit of a past, but since then, they’ve never gotten along. Well, that’s an understatement. They’ve hated each other’s guts. But when they are forced together, they have to face their feelings and work it out. This book is hot, emotional, romantic, and just written so perfectly! Read this book! It will definitely be worth your time!

Loved this audiobook! The narrator was on point, really making me feel like I was in the story. Will is a rich man who doesn’t know what he is missing until he meets Harper. Harper is in the same boat, except she feels like she has much more to lose, because she has Jeremy. Jeremy is Harper’s younger brother who has a brain injury making her his caretaker. Will comes into their lives and turns them upside down. But is it a good thing, or bad? This book is not just your usual romance novel, it also has speed, cars, family, loss, and so much more. Listen to this book! It is the whole package!

The Warrior is the third book in the Freemasons series by Nicole Flockton. Sienna has feelings for Jude however he is reluctant to open up to her as he has dedicated his life to looking for his sister Renee. When a sighting of Renee leads him to start looking for her in another country, Jude and his fellow ex-military friends need Sienna’s help to infiltrate the organisation that has her. This is a good read, the chemistry between the two main characters is there and you can feel the pain and panic while Sienna is undercover. It is quite fast paced which is nice and the story is intriguing. I would recommend.

I don’t understand how these books keep getting better & better. Everything single time a new one comes out, sign me up! While there are slight similarities between the books for obvious reasons, each and every book is different. Different situations and life stories. I don’t know how she does it. Literally 🤯 = me. All I truly know is that in previous books we have seen glimpses of Nico & Mia, and we don’t really know who either of them are. Nico we’ve seen a bit more, but I like that they both flourish and develop naturally in this book. I truly hope this isn’t the end of the road! Maybe some sequels or spin offs of the current Chicago families would be nice. However honestly anything Amy McKinley writes will be amazing!

A great story of the underdogs finding their way survive and come up on top! I loved that aspect of this book. It was refreshing! What starts off as a whoopsie, ends up being one of the best decisions Summer & Luc make! It starts their angsty and steamy roller coaster of a ride. In the beginning there’s tons of mistrust and secrets, but with time they see the truth and gain trust. Many curveballs and surprising moments. In the end everything happens to a reason and everything plays out as it should. Summer is welcomed with the wives & family and clicks with them instantly like she meant for that life all along!

What did I think? This was a steaamyyy savage love affair!
Firstly the glossary of who’s who on the first page… chefs kisses! I have not read any of the previous books and was worried I would be lost but luckily wasn’t! I loved that you get both perspectives of the main characters POV. This made it easy to follow, and loved to see how they both were truly feeling. I like that we got to be in both of their heads! This book was filled with hellaaa spicy moments, lotsss and lotsss of plot twists, and roller coaster moments. It had me on the edge of my seat and with the popcorn ready! I could not put this book down to save my life!
Overall a really great read, and I can’t wait to read more in this series!!

The Soppranaturales hotel is a great place to go if you’re not human. Vampires, witches, werewolves and much more reside here under the human radar and its kind of like a safe house for monsters. Link is the last known Fae and lives at the Soppranaturales hotel and works as a clerk. His life is completely changed when Ommily enters the hotel and he realizes that she is also Fae. As the last 2 fairies on the planet, they have the potential to be the most powerful beings alive but they have to prove that they are as powerful as they’re supposed to be. Both of these characters are impulsive and it had me shaking my head throughout the whole novel. The descriptions of the surroundings and the use of magic was very detailed and easy to envision. I’m not ready to check out of the Soppranaturales hotel but; alas there are no more pages.

A momma bird one-day returns to her nest to find another bird laying an egg in her nest. To the Momma Warbler, it’s just one more egg to take care of. Soon enough, the egg hatches and the baby bird has a much larger appetite than expected… I really enjoyed how entertaining and well-written the story was. I can easily see myself reading this story to children and getting into a scientific-based talk about this phenomenon. The illustrations are also beautiful and easy to follow and decipher.
