I was exciting to start reading the second book in this trilogy as I had enjoyed the first so much. I am pleased to say it lived up to my expectations. It was great to revisit the characters and the worlds. I was so easy to jump straight back in it was almost like I had moved from book one immediately into book two. This series is definitely a brilliant sci-fi series so far and I am very much looking forward to book three. I can’t wait to read more about these characters and their journey.

This was an entertaining book from start to finish and Olivia is the whole reason why. She is such a fantastic lead character. I loved how she found a way to push through everything that was happening around her and to take a chance at something she wanted. I connected with her story immediately and knew she was someone I wanted to do well. The story itself is enjoyable. It matched Olivia and her personality perfectly and I found it to be such an easy read. It was fun to read right from the word go and the author did a great job at making it relatable to most of the intended audience. This was a great book that is highly entertaining and definitely worth the read.

Just One More Egg is another quirky tale from Lois. It showcases just what a mother’s love will do in much the same way as adoption. This cute story is fun and relatable for young children. It is full of illustrations and not overly wordy and it is charming and original. These imaginative tales delight children aged 4 to 8 and younger. I read it to my 3-year-old grandson and he delighted in the characters and the pictures.

Wilf Gilvary is a young man living in Hong Kong and is obsessed by soccer, but his family, not so much, they would much rather he focuses on his magic, but that is the last thing he wants. It is something he argues with his father about a lot and the more his father pushes him, the more he pushes back, one day in particular they have a huge argument while Wilf is looking for something, especially since while he is sneaking around looking for it, the Mages Crystal which has been in his family for generations shatters.
Later on that morning, while he is at soccer practice, his father mysteriously dies and leaves his magical heritage to Wilf, he now has a decision to make, meanwhile in the magical world there is a political battle raging between the witches and wizards and this has led to a mysterious virus attacking the population. This virus is causing both witches and wizards alike to change, it is also causing them to lose their magic as the virus progresses, the main symptom is a change in appearance, instead of the ugliness this community prizes, the victims are becoming beautiful as well.
As Wilf speaks to one of the witches about his fathers journal, he realises that it holds the key to curing this virus, but it turns out that his father has spelled it so that the only way it can be read is for Wilf to develop his magical skills. This becomes even more stressful for Wilf when the one friend he has made since moving to the magical community is infected by the virus and he knows the only way to help is to embrace his magic and carry out his fathers wishes, but can he do it in time? This is a magical adventure filled with political intrigue, as well as emotional ups and downs as a young man comes to term with his future and the changes he needs to make. It is a gripping tale which will keep you reading as you become invested in the story and the characters within it.

As the two try to figure out their balance and understanding of one another, they quickly realize that they do have feelings for each other. We are faced with the question if these two former lovers can reignite the spark and make it last in the real world. I really enjoyed this story and would highly recommend to anyone who likes the enemy to lover trope.

I don’t think I have ever wanted to shake a person as hard as I wanted to shake Jared. He infuriated me to no end. Towards the end he did redeem himself but it was a struggle to get there. Ella has the patience of a saint to deal with him. Their story is a good one, it just takes a minute to get to the good stuff. I’m going to read the rest of the series to get to know the other couples better.

This book was a great read. I absolutely love a good mafia romance. This book did not disappoint. This story is full of danger, suspense, romance, great characters, and had me completely enthralled. I wasn’t sure what I was getting into when I started this book. Rockstar’s daughter finds love? Sounds great.
El finds herself at a bar off campus, in disguise in order to sing.
Wil, also happens to be at the same bar. When his guitarist is found drunk a few minutes before the show, El steps in, finding herself to be at the right place at the right time.
The cover and premise caught my attention. It has been a long time since I read a friends to lovers novel but I was sucked in. The slow burn of their relationship was great. Sometimes slow burns annoy me because I just want them to get together but the fast pace of the novel helped the progression of the relationship.
With the ending, I am so excited for the next novel!

After becoming totally hooked on Hunter Divine in Book 1 of this fantastic series I was really looking forward to continuing on with this action packed addictive series and oh boy it did not disappoint! Once again I was totally hooked from the very start and just couldn’t put it down! I’m telling you it’s edge of your seat type enjoyment!!! This can be read as a stand alone and be fully enjoyed however I do recommend reading the first book simply because the series is just way too good to not read it all!

There were so many paranormal creatures in this novel that I could safely say that it has something for everyone. Well, Evan is certainly having a challenging day. Getting chased by his brother ends with falling into the land of elfs. He meets a dragon-morphing girl and many little elves. He ends up on many adventures with her. This story is a fun fantasy full of humor, adventure, and wit. I love the characters. You can feel the quirky personalities. The storyline flows fairly smooth. It’s an enjoyable tale that many will like with dragons, elves, and more.

The author does it again with the historical fiction series I love so much! Divided lives was a jam packed book filled with twists and turns, just like the author is known for. The important part of the story is to recall that Lottie is living in historical times, and has this lover that is a woman that she has a somewhat secret separate life with, aside from her role as a law clerk by day. Well just like any book by this author there is a huge mystery to solve, and the threat of losing her secret by night is looming, as she investigates her own boss! Lottie goes through so much in this story and the suspense will have you on the edge of your seat! What happens? Well YOU need to read this book to find out!
Megan has lived most of her life in the comfort of the celebrity world until one indiscretion will ruin her life and reputation for good, so she calls in the best in the business to help find out the source of the blackmail and the threat on her career but neither of them thought it would open this many streams of evil to have to close.
Hunter and his team are called in on a relatively straight forward case of Blackmail or that’s what he thinks but delving deeper into the world he discovers a lot more which drags them into the world of Drugs, prostitution and Murder but can he get him and his team out alive.
This is the first book I have read by this author and the first book in this series, and I really enjoyed the flow and story. Although this is the second book, I read it quite easily as a stand-alone book with no trouble. The main character in Hunter is strong and has his demons from the past which to get to read some in the start of the book which opens the man on the page.
This story is full of grit and excitement, with the twist and turns that you take I could not put the story down. I was enthralled and the drama, danger and edge of seat thrilling writing I was rushing to finish the book to see what happens. I can’t wait to read the next book in this series, but I may just has a sneaky read of book one first.

Lab Spill is the second book in this series. You should probably read the first book, The Cool Thing first for maximum enjoyment. There is definitely some dark humor in this series. In this story you are following the adventures of RL, Jayderay, and Frankie. There are two main settings. The first is in Texas, and the second, well that’s in a place called the Waydown. The Waydown is a place that is the remnants of a long-ago abandoned and thought to be sealed off science experiment gone totally wrong, Lab Spills are creatures that have mutated from this area. Jayderay has been given a house known as Roaton. The house’s personality, a lab created person named Proby (who goes by Elvis), and the cast of characters explore what happens with the breastplate/portal between the “topside” and the Waydown in this series installment.

I haven’t read many collections of poetry. However, I found elements of this collection that I identify with, which heightened my enjoyment. I believe that poetry is designed to make you feel something. At times Mr. Becker uses language that I am unfamiliar with. I enjoyed this, because I got the chance to expand on my vocabulary skill, and slow down to really grasp the meaning behind his words. I feel like some of the music references were probably missed by me as I’m not an avid listener to the Beatles. My favorite poems in this volume were the ones that depicted the author’s mental health and how he deals with it. Also, the background design contributes to the themes of the poems, and enhances the reading experience in a lovely way!

Just One More Egg is a great children’s book about helping others and how by doing so sometimes we actually help ourselves too. I really enjoyed this short story and the artwork as well. The moral of the story was very easy to understand and sometimes the world needs more encouragement to treat others the way you want to be treated.

Mis-Spelled is the first book in the Stellaluna Chronicles by T.H. Leatherman. It is a fun YA fantasy with wonderful world-building, plenty of action, adventure, magic, different realms/alternate world element, wizards, elves, goblins, trolls, fairies, other mythical creatures, friendship drama, contracts, challenges, intriguing developments, and some self-discovery. This was such a fun read- a great little quest. My first read from T.H. Leatherman, but if this is anything to go by, it certainly won’t be my last. Looking forward to the rest of the series. OMG! Spiders creep me out sooooo bad!!! As did this book lol. It took quite a bit of fortitude on my part to even pick up this book to read. I am an arachnophobe from way back. But being as it is spooky season, and as an attempt to push myself out of my comfort zone- I grabbed a copy and carefully opened the cover with my eyes half closed. But let me tell you, it didn’t take long before they were fully opened. Spidersight by Tirzah M.M. Hawkins turned out to be the perfect spooky season read. A creature horror with a wonderfully creepy, scary, and suspenseful plot. I will never contemplate the idea of childhood imaginary friends the same way, ever again. This was such a chilling story to read and definitely creeped me out good and proper. The idea that a child’s imaginary friend could turn out to be so sinister, evil, and twisted. And did I mention, SPIDERS- everywhere!!!!!! Just about broke out in cold sweats in parts. Confession- some parts might have been read through small gaps between my fingers as I held my hands over my eyes. The premise was clever- weave in a five-year-old child, her imaginary friend who definitely isn’t so make-believe, then add in the SPIDER element, plenty of danger, murder, agendas, mystery, dread, a pervading sense of hopelessness, a rather large helping of fear, some tragedy, and lots of heat-pounding developments- made the story quite the twisted tale. There were a few small issues with the story, for me, where the dialogue felt a little ‘off’, and where some scenes/bits didn’t seem to be in keeping with the rest of the storyline- but these factors didn’t detract too much from my overall reading experience. I will definitely be keeping an eye out for more stories from this author in the future. If you love creature horror, or are simply looking for a creepy story to read, or a twisted tale to put you in the mood for spooky season- then this is definitely the book for you. Happy Reading!

This is the second book I’ve read by this author, and I LOVED it. It’s a steamy slow burn, but it won’t take long to read! I loved the romance between Chad and Kendall, and I wished we got a little bit more, but simply because I didn’t want the book to end. I’m not sure if it was just the app being weird, but when I was reading it on my phone it was in italics, but on my kindle it was regular formatting. However, if you’re debating on reading this book, don’t hesitate any longer! You won’t regret it!

I couldn’t get enough of this book or the characters. It invoked all the feels, and had me literally yearning for a happy ending! I was hooked and read the whole thing in one sitting. The authors took second chance romance and reinvented it. It was devastatingly beautiful and so well written. The characters became real and the story was full of hope and hurt. Couldn’t reccommend enough!

Hate You Later is such a feel good romantic comedy! The banter between the two main characters, Georgia and Hudson, as they pretend to be their pets for an influencer challenge is so entertaining and flirtatious. This book has it all though; there’s humor, realistic, loveable characters, lots of ups and downs, and of course, pets! The inclusion of the pets is such an important part of this story and Ciara Blume does a wonderful job in seamlessly incorporating them. This was the first book I’ve read by Blume, but after reading this book, it certainly won’t be the last! I recommend this book to anyone who needs a feel-good, enemies to lovers romance.
