Looking for an interesting thriller type story? This author has one for you. The Intruders are just that…. intruders…beings that don’t belong and don’t mean well for human kind. The story is well written with main character Dex leading the way most of the time. His family is pretty important to him and the story. Other characters stand out as well. Connor, Quinn and Pam just to name a few.
Towards the climax of this story, I did not think Dex would find a way to overcome the intruders…as I write this review, I still have about 10 mins left to read and I am still wondering if all will be well!!! Definitely being kept on the edge of my seat while reading this adventure.
Interesting fun fact. This author includes an author’s note after each chapter. While that is something new to me, it brought a little bit of insight to the story from the author. It was weird at first for me but by the end of the story I was looking forward to seeing what he had to say.
I’d be interested in what else this author writes. Maybe another world saving mission for Dex!
This is an action packed sci-fi adventure that is unlike any other I have read. As the first in a new series I definitely starts with a bang. I loved Vandal. I thought he was such an interesting and engaging character. He kept me entertained from start to finish and for me carried the story. I thought the premise of this book was such an interesting one, and not one that I had read anything similar to before. The way it was developed intrigued me and I easily found myself connecting with it. The author created a great pace to the book that fit perfectly with what was happening. After reading this book I am looking forward to see what comes next.

This book was literally one of the cutest I’ve read in a while. This was exactly what I needed to get out of a slump!! I was hooked with the whole pets aspect of this and it revolving around pet shelters and shops. I really was having such a fun time reading this I liked the parts where they talk to each other as the pets it was adorable. I really connected with Georgia and her issues with asking for help and feeling the need to take care of everyone plus your own issues on your own. Hudson was a strong male lead and I adored him. This was an easy read and I highly recommend especially if you like pets being in books

This was a great dark romance mafia book. I have never read a book by this author and I thought Via Mari did an excellent job writing this! To start off the book, I thought it was a bit slow for me. Granted there was some mafia action but just not enough to keep me reading consistently. But I stuck through it and I am so glad I did. Who doesn’t love a bit of mystery in the middle of a mafia romance? Read and you will unravel the mystery of Adrianna. Not only does she fight her instincts, but she was instantly drawn to Salvatore. Again, who doesn’t love reading about the head of the mafia down on his knees falling for a woman he never thought he could love. Throughout the book I fell more and more in love and I couldn’t put it down. I cannot wait for the next installment!

While this is my first book I have read by Willa Drew, I cannot wait to read more. I started this book thinking I could take my time reading it, and a couple hours later, I completed the book. This book was that good! From the heartbreak to the love and romance, the paparazzi’s to the bodyguards. I couldn’t get enough! Let us not forget about the banter between Wil and El, that just kept me laughing hysterically. Then for El to describe her love for music as her lifeline, I could not relate more. Each character was so relatable and I wish I could meet them in person and be friends!
Downside to this book? The fact that it ended on a cliffhanger and I am expected to wait a WHOLE YEAR. Love this book and I cannot wait to read more in the series!

This authors style of writing is not only thorough, but really gets the reader’s mind into the frame it needs to be in to be engulfed by the nature of this adventure. I absolutely love how the author also included a glossary of terms at the beginning that one can return to if there is any confusion as to what the terms mean. This is by no means my normal cup of tea, however, I felt like the main character specifically was very vulnerable in the way he was portrayed and I absolutely loved that, especially given that it is a male character.
The titles of the chapters, the way that they are broken up into different segments and the descriptiveness are what really held my attention whilst reading this first installment of what will end up being a very different, wonderful, and eye-opening literary adventure. If you’re at all debating whether or not to read this, you can stop the debate and purchase it before the next comes out, so you aren’t huddled in your bed scurrying to devour this series. Well worth your money, time, and mental capacity. Looking forward to Ymir being released!

I am not the type to typically read a horror type story but in the spirit of Halloween and trying something different, I gave this story a try. This quick read was a great way of getting used to the detailing of the horrors of the living to becoming part of the nonliving. Also thrown into the mix the joys of dating in this living/nonliving type world. The anticipating feelings of loneliness, lack of trust, and boredom are things that many of us have experienced throughout our lifetime. What do you think you would do with those feelings in this kind of scenario? Glad I was able to connect to a story such as this and be able to connect to it. Of course, I have not lived in this type of world but with the author’s detailed verbal illustrations, one can only imagine. DeBlassie does a great job of feeling as though the reader can gain understanding of the main character’s situation. Great Halloween/Horror read for those genre lovers and not!

This is the first book in a brand-new series by an author I’ve come to love over the last few years. This mafia series is a spin off from previous series’ and brings back many favourite characters that I loved catching up with again. Set around the Larussio family, in this book we get the story of Salvatore who is running the family due to Great Uncle stepping back from duties as he gets on in age. Salvatore is dark, brooding, dangerous and hot as sin. He’s far to busy running the family, finding out who is leaking secrets. No way does he have the time, or inclination, for a relationship. Sexy Doctor Adrianna hates the Larussio family with a passion. So why is she working for them? What is she hiding? And why, oh why, does she find the dark brooding Salvatore so damn irresistible? I loved Salvatore and Adrianna’s story. As well as being hot as hell, there is so much drama, danger, intrigue and backstabbing that makes this book so unputdownable, if that’s a real word. I totally lost myself in this book and think it just might be my favourite by this author so far. I really can’t wait to read more in this series.

This is the first book in The Hidden Realms series and from this book it has the makings of a great series. This story is full of mystery and intrigue that keeps the reader gripped. I couldn’t put it down until I got to the end. The author does an amazing job with the world and character building. I love the fantasy element and how Sin’s talent is seeing through the masks people wear. The addition of her trying to solve an art heist was just an additional element of Suspense. The main story for me was between Sin and Radzik. Theirs is definately a steamy romance and I loved how a strong confident man like Radzik can be made to feel not so confident in his world and literally has it rocked by Sin. I can’t wait to see where this story will lead us and I’m looking forward to the next book already.

Unfortunately, the other MBU jockeys did not fare well after the attack. As the base finds themselves short jockeys, Vandal is recruited to fast track to become a jockey. The attacks don’t slow down though, and the stakes become even higher. As it all escalates, can he find the balance between cranking wrenches and running an MBU? Can he survive until the next contract?
This is my first time reading this author. I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of detail in the writing of the MBUs, the battles that took place, and the world building. I felt like I could see everything playing out in my mind. The characters were well written, and I loved how their relationships were portrayed as more of a family than just friends. The book was quick paced, and I didn’t want to put it down! Definitely, looking forward to reading the next installment.

I loved the idea of this story. It was just hard to follow along with at times. The story deals with a lot of politics in the life of these characters. There just seemed too much for me and I struggled to care about the characters. I am not sure what the problem was but I lost interest a lot and had to keep refocusing to get this finished. There are a lot of characters. The author did a good job bringing them in slowly and giving me time to know them before introducing another.
This definitely falls into the fantasy paranormal category with a light touch on romance. We become very involved in investigations of Sin (which was cool) and watching how she works is impressive. She is smart, inquisitive and has follow through. Rad is very impressive. We learn a little more about him as the story rolls along. He is mysterious.
I liked the idea but the story does not resonate with me too much which results in an okay story. It is propelled higher by the worlds and characters this author created.

What a sweet book. I love the story here, even though someone is different, they are still loved and are equal to everyone else. The mama warbler didn’t care that the cuckoo egg wasn’t hers, she was going to treat it as though it was. The art is beautiful as well.

This is a beautiful and wonderful story that is full of love, loss, sizzling moments and deep secrets. I loved every minute of this book.
When Will Franconi is contacted by a young man about looking at his car collection…Will does not hesitate. He loved the enthusiasm that Jeremy expresses over fast cars….and invites Jeremy for a showing … and also meets Jeremy’s older sister.. Harper. Will is take back by Harper…. But Harper is all business and is Jeremy’s primary care taker. Once Harper let’s her walk slowly come down getting to know Will on a personal level…all Will wants to do is protect and take care of both Harper and Jeremy.
Personal struggle of a dark past… Will finally opens up to Harper…tells her his past…. But will this scare Harper away or love him more?
This story is just wonderful and my heart really ached for both Will and Harper in so many moments…and I look forward to the other books in the series!!

Intriguing quick read This is an unexpected find. I found the storyline fascinating and even at the end I just wanted to know more. I love the way that the reader gets the closure around the romance between Cole and Ava but the underlying story about the Freemasons is left wide open. My curiosity is piqued and I can’t wait to get my hands on book 2 The Hunter.

What an astounding book by K. R. Mullins! Let me just say that if you love her other books from the Notebook Mystery series, then you will totally appreciate reading about the same family but with the main character being Lottie, Emma’s niece. This book is very well-written, and all the feels are in it. The author gives us a bit of background information about the trial of Officer Charles Becker conspiracy trial and sets the stage for a very dramatic story of blackmail, love, crime, family, and betrayal. Lottie lives in Greenwich village which is known to not follow the mainstream traditions of a big city, but the problem is she is a lawyer for a justice in New York City. So, she must keep her personal life detached or divided from her professional life: so much in fact that while she commutes on her motorbike to work wearing pants but once she arrives at the office she changes into a skirt and adds a clip to her hair so that her short hair is covered and appears to be long hair which was appropriate for women in 1912. From the beginning we see her personal life and her professional life collide as she is blackmailed of pictures with her and her female lover in a compromising situation. Emotions run tense as we find out who is the culprit behind the blackmail and just how many others have been taken advantage of by this lowlife person. With the support of her family and a police officer named Frank, Lottie is saved and can then truly be the person she was meant to be without living a divided life. The characters are easy to love or hate depending on their role in Lottie’s life and the storyline is amazing. The historical information in the book is interesting and really helps set the stage for why a divided life was kept by Lottie and how not all people who wear robes are to be taken at face value. Corruption is in all areas of life and in all sections of the workplace. You must read this book!!!! I just cannot say enough about how wonderful this book really is!!

Family friendly and full of fun!! Ruby isn’t the most outstanding actress and definitely not the star of the show but she sure loves a good mystery and this boxed set does not disappoint!
I am a musical lover and this series of books is such a happy and sometimes hysterical read! The Sound of Murder is a book based on the Sound of Music. Ruby gets to join a travelling troupe and her first real role is underway. What she didn’t expect is that one of her cast mates would be murdered. All of a sudden, Ruby’s focus is on solving the murder of her friend.
West Side Murder is based on the popular West Side Story. Instead of the Sharks and the Jets, we meet the Golfers and the Palmers. The focus of this story is on a murder that takes place in a local retirement community. While Ruby and her troupe are on tour, she finds herself in the middle of yet another mystery.
Little Shop of Murder is such a fun read!! I love all musicals but this one is a definite favorite and this story did not disappoint. Ruby and her troupe are performing “The Little Shop of Horrors” on stage when some things become more real than just acting out parts.
What I love about these books is the way that Ruby remembers details to solve her mysteries. She attributes them to musical numbers. I found myself singing along with her clues! This is a great cozy and clean set of books that will put you in a sing-songy mood for days!

This book was fantastic! This is the second book in the series and takes us deeper into Makayla’s life while attending The Grave Digger Academy. When someone has a problem, they go to The Devine Devils. That’s exactly what Megan Getz does, a Hollywood star who is being blackmailed. Megan wants to get her claws into Hunter, the private investigator who is trying to solve her issue. She is not used to being denied. Hunter just wants to solve this case and maybe get answers to some of his personal questions. This book was well written and the characters were all unique. Full of mystery, action, danger, and drama. I will be going back to read the first book in this series!

Divided Lives by K.R. Mullins is literally everything I love about a wonderfully written Historical Mystery Romance, its loaded with mystery , suspense ,love ,and even a little blackmail. It’s based on actual events that took place in 1912 Greenwich Village. This author continues to blow me away with each book she writes. I get lost in the pages and get so caught up with following what’s going on that I tend to tune everything around me out. Her style of writing flows and her attention to detail along with fully developed characters make for an amazing story. I loved reading about Lottie who is a court clerk by day and at night a completely different person. But what will happen when her two lives collide and she finds herself caught up in a blackmail situation? I highly recommend reading this book to find out. This one is by far my favorite yet and I’ve read several of her books. I look forward to reading many more books by this author.

This is a great series and to have them in a box set is a bonus. Savage Secrets (Mafia Elite #4) This is one of my favorite genres and I couldn’t get enough, it was over too fast for me. I was on the edge of my seat right from the beginning. I was excited to finally get Elena and Marco’s story. These two have had feelings for each other for years. But of course Elena was in an arranged marriage. But with a twist Elena ends up fleeing. When they learn that Elena is in danger, Marco goes looking for her. Will he be able to keep Elena safe? Overall this was a great read with so many twists and turns. I believe this may just be my favorite of the series so far. It can be read as a standalone but I suggest reading from the beginning. I love love loved these two, they were perfect for each other in so many ways.
Ruthless Heir: An Enemies to Lovers Mafia Romance (Mafia Elite #5) Summer meets Luc and has an amazing night with him. She is late to her job the next day, but when she meets her new boss she is shocked. Luc didn’t realize he would see her again so soon. Something happens that causes him to suspect Summer, and he refuses to let her leave his sight. Summer finds herself in the middle of a situation that could blow her secret and put her in grave danger. What will happen when her secret comes out?
We get twists and turns and several secrets. Summer was such a great character, she was strong and exactly what Luc needed in his world. All of the characters added a great element to the story. I love how the wives rallied around Summer and supported her so well. The author does a great job of pulling you in with her writing.
Collateral Damage: A Second Chance Mafia Romance (Mafia Elite Book 6) Hailey had originally met Trey at a dinner party but something caused him to walk away. We jump ahead and Hailey finds herself in a dangerous predicament. Trey is hired by her step father to find her after she has been taken. Trey finds Hailey and brings her to his home, there is something off about the whole situation and he refuses to let her leave until he figures it out. Having Hailey in his home is making his feelings stir again, there is something about Hailey that is different. The longer they are together the closer they become.
Will Trey be able to help Hailey? Will Trey drop his walls and let Hailey in?
Overall this was a great read. There are several unexpected twists and turns. I loved her best friend but he also got on my list for ghosting her at times. All of the wives were great, I loved how quickly they brought Hailey into their circle.
Rivals (Mafia Elite #7). I really liked Mia and Nico’s story. Mia was a very strong character and when she needed help she went to Nico. Nico is smart and a very dangerous man, he is intrigued by Mia and agrees to help her.
What will happen when her father finds out what she has done? Will Nico be able to protect her?
Overall this was a thrilling edge of your seat read. It felt like there were several stories in one. Several twists and turns and a great cast of secondary characters. The connection between these two grew even hotter as the story went forward. There is so much going on your head will be spinning. The author does a great job with her writing and pulls you right in. What I like about this is you easily get 2 stories. Each story perfectly flows to the next one so you can binge read! Ruby is a great character and solver. I love each musical and get into each mystery! Great job on the series!
Savage Secrets: When the one love you couldn’t forget comes back from the ”dead” what’s one to do but agree to an arranged marriage to help protect her. Author Amy McKinley does it again. Another action packed mafia romance that keeps you intrigued from start to finish with great world building, fierce and tough females and strong protective males. The more you read of the series, more and more secrets about the families are exposed. Elena and Marco help uncover some in their story along with uncovering their true feelings for one another. I am excited to continue on to book 5. These books are must reads!!
Ruthless Heir: First off, I am a complete sucker for this series. I absolutely love it. I hope the author keeps writing in this world, maybe a spin off or something. Summer running from one mob striaght into the arms of another one but can she trust Luc even thought he’s on still thinks she’s a spy for another company. This installment follows Luc and Summer from their one night stand to lovers. Read this gem to find out what secrets they uncover. Ps I love when i get to see characters from the last books🥰
Collateral Damage: This is the sixth book of the Mafia Elite series. It Follows Trey and Haileys story and an interesting one at that. With him living two lives one as an amazing sweet doctor and the other as a member of the Mafia which he is not all too fond of since it cost him his first love. Now he has to use those connections to save Hailey from her kidnappers but being who he is, he knows there’s more going on than meets the eye. Will he fight the chemistry between them or give in. You have to read to find out and I highly recommend you do.
Rivals: Yesss!! After reading the other 6 books in this series I couldn’t wait for the release of this one. I was so excited to go back into the Mafia world she has created and Amy Mckinley did not disappoint 🥰. Just like all the other books I couldn’t put it down. 😭 I’m extremely sad this is the last one of the Mafia Elite series, but i’m excited to start reading more of Amy McKinley’s other work. 😊🙌♥️
