This story is the fourth book in the Reigning Hearts series but it is a stand-alone book. I recommend all of the books. The author has a descriptive language that makes the storyboard in your mind’s eye. I can see all the details and I can feel everything as Nicky did in the story. There is a love story that forms between Nicky and Reid. Reid, being a singer that is on the fast track to stardom and Nicky is a wedding planner who loves the idea of being in love and luxuriously cakes. Will Nicky find her true love? Will Reid become a rock star? Or will Nicky and Reid become a couple? I highly recommend this story to find out the answers to these questions and more?

Road Tripped is the opening to Manda Mellett’s Satan’s Devils MC Utah that is another spin-off of her Satan’s Devils MC series. A Dead Man Speaks (A Clive January Mystery Book 1) By Lisa Jones Gentry 5 out of 5 stars
I loved reading the book A Dead Man Speaks (A Clive January Mystery Book 1) by Lisa Jones Gentry. It is a story that once I started it, I was hooked. The author does an amazing job of making both the storyline and the characters come to life. It is a story about a man who was shot and killed and the journey that follows to find his killer. I enjoyed reading about and trying to understand the man who was Clive January. His life was a hard one with many obstacles and sadness. It is also the story of Detective Bob. He is charged with finding out who killed Clive. He is a man that is known to solve cases that others considered unsolvable. This is a story that includes strong emotions and also times of hatred and racism. The story is very powerful, and I found myself thinking about it even after I had finished the last page. Will Clive’s murder be solved? Read this book to find out. I highly recommend it.

I’ll See You Again: A Scottish Rock Star, standalone apooposites-attract romance by K.G. Fletcher is the fourth book in the Reigning Hearts series. This book is every bit as good as the previous books with strong characters and a brilliant story line. I always love to pick up a book that has characters in from Scotland or England, as being from the UK myself I always tend to feel connected to them that much quicker. Nicky and Mac were one of those couples that instantly you can’t help but love. They were both interesting already and their meeting just added to the depth you could already feel with them. I liked the story that went with these two. It felt like there was more to it than just what you got at face value, which for me is what a book should be like. I was engaged with the story from the word go and could have definitely kept reading long after I put the book down. This is yet another amazing book by an author who is quickly becoming one of my favourites.

John the Baptist: As His Soul Remembers By Stuart Ledwith 5 out of 5 stars
The book John the Baptist: As His Soul Remembers by Stuart Lediwth is a story that is informative and inspirational. It is a book that pulls you in and doesn’t let you go until the final page. It is a joy to read about John the Baptist and how he lived his life. It was refreshing to read about a man who had such strong beliefs and was always looking to bring happiness and good news to others. It is sad to read about how so many did not listen to the words that he spoke. The author does a wonderful job of making both the storyline and the characters come alive on the pages. I felt like I was right there listening to John speak. I couldn’t help but be encouraged by the words that John spoke and would highly recommend reading this story.

High Flyer (Verdant String) by Michelle Diener is an exciting and fast paced sci-fi novel that will completely capture your attention from start to finish. This is a unique and action packed book that was even better than I had expected it to be. This is the first book that I have ready by this author and it completely surpassed the expectations I had from reading the description. I straight away knew I wanted to see how the story of Hana and Iver developed and what direction this book would take. The overall story I found to be really exciting. This is a genre that I think has definitely been saturated so to find a book like this – that stands out so much – is rare and definitely so great to find. I was hooked by the story and really couldn’t wait to find out what was going on. This is an amazing book and I cannot wait to see what else this author has to offer.
This is not my first book by this author but it is my favorite. It is a cute short romance story that pulled me in from the first page. I enjoyed the characters as they brought the story to life. They made me feel as if I was part of the story. They made it fun and entertaining to read. The chemistry between them was great and made the story easy to read. This is a story about Penny and Geo. Penny is writing a series of articles about dating. She now has to attend a series of dates but she never expected to run into her rival Geo. Are they after the same thing? Could what they are or are not looking for be right under their faces? What fate has in store for them you don’t want to miss. They really made the story for me and kept me turning pages. I highly recommend their story and this author.

This is a short romance story which I enjoyed. This is not my first story by this author but it is one of my favorites by her. I was pulled into the story right from the beginning and was engaged to the end. I enjoyed watching the characters grow throughout the story. I had no issues connecting with them as they brought the story to life. They made me feel as if I was part of the story as well. This is a story about Zen and Seb. Zen is a well known swimmer. Seb is the owner of a fitness gym in Zen’s hometown. Zen agrees to do Seb’s celebration but he never expected to be so taken with her. She has had a crush on him since she was a teenager. What will happen with these two? I enjoyed their chemistry together which was so great to see. This made a great afternoon read which I highly recommend as well as this author’s other books.

On With the Butter! is an uplifting book by Heidi Herman. It is aimed at retired people, but readers of all ages can benefit from the advice and inspiration Herman shares. Drawing on Icelandic philosophies, via Herman’s amazing mother (the anecdotes from her life are at times almost unbelievable and always entertaining!), we are encouraged to live life to the fullest. I approached this book in part out of professional interest, as my field of Community Arts often involves working with older people. It was good to see that, while Herman’s tone throughout the book was light and conversational, it was backed up with academic sources. It’s great to see someone advocating for older people engaging in all kinds of activity, and Herman gives plenty of practical advice on how to encounter different experiences. With COVID-19 currently limiting the activities available to us, and particularly more vulnerable elderly people and those with underlying health conditions, many of the activities Herman suggests are not currently safe. In spite of that, I think this book could be more valuable than ever. Herman includes many suggestions of activities that can be done from the home, or in safer outdoor spaces. It would be a great resource for someone who feels like they have exhausted the possibilities of their restricted world. Additionally, reading about Herman and her mother’s adventures provides a much-needed burst of escapism! For me, this is a five-star book. I would recommend it to anyone who feels bored and cooped up! It reminded me of a book I had as a child – Something to do. Whenever I was bored, I would open it up and get an idea for an exciting project to embark on. I can see On With the Butter becoming a similarly useful resource!

This story of John the Baptist was interesting to read. I am pretty sure he did not have a love interest. I am in no way so well versed in the scripture that I know for a fact but, from what I have read I see no indication. I don’t feel like it was accurate to the teachings of the Bible but there were a lot of things I did see that I thought were true to the John the Baptist from the Bible. He did indeed spread the teachings of Jesus, baptized many people and was beheaded for a ridiculous reason. I found these things to be true to him and looking past some of the other things said about him in this book, that I find to be fiction I did enjoy reading it as a story and of course love the fact that he was teaching equality between genders.

I’m normally not one to get lost in a dystopian YA series. Usually there’s something essential missing from the story line or a plot hole that I just can’t look past, poor character development in favor of a shocking storyline. Not this time. I was so happy to be swept away by this gem! This was my very first A.J. Eversley book and I can’t wait to read more. She created such a vivid world where other dystopian authors struggled to do so. The detail that went into EverMarked definitely helped draw me in and keep me invested. This book is narrated in alternating POVs, which I love. Being able to see the story from multiple perspectives is always special . Sienna is a Marked and Jayla is a Watcher, their stories keep you so vested on your journey through Cytos that you’ll find the cliffhanger suddenly upon you and you’ll have a desperate need for the next installment. One of the worries I have every time I go into a YA novel is pace, but EverMarked was surprisingly fast paced for how full of background story and detail it was. There’s a good amount of action, adventure, suspense, and a little sprinkle of romance. HOWEVER, this is really a great story about trying to find yourself and your place in the world.

It Comes From Within by Naomi Valkyrie was an incredible sequel in the House Valdis series! I think I liked it better than I did the first book! Much more interesting in my opinion, more suspense and action, and more character development. I was enthralled the whole time reading and could hardly put the book down! I’m also glad I read the Xenobia Origin story before reading this one, it definitely helps with some of the characters that were introduced in this installment! I fell in love with this book and I can’t wait to read the next part of the series! I highly recommend this read!

KG Fletcher has a way of telling a story that makes you feel as if you are a part of the book.
This book focuses on Nicky and Mac. Nicky’s business revolves around finding that happy ever after…even if she hasn’t found hers yet. Mac is getting ready to head out on tour with his band, but makes a stop in a small town to try out a new single before they hit the road. Nicky and Mac’s connection is immediate and strong…even though she doesn’t know who he really is. But, when headlines break, can their new relationship weather the storm? Or were they meant to only be temporary? You have to read the book to find out how this goes down!
I loved both Nicky and Mac’s characters. I felt a boatload of feelings right along with them…even cried a time or two. However, I was captivated by the support of all the other characters in the book. I loved this story and will definitely be checking out future books!

After recovering she has found out that the aneurysm has gone but she has been left with something else in its place. Something she isn’t sure about. Is she really seeing and hearing all these strange things or is she going crazy. Does she take a risk to see if he can help her in more ways that one.

Accountability is the third book in Jessica Aiken-Hall’s Scope of Practice series. I hope that it is the final book in the series and that because I would love to be able to think of Valerie finally settling into her life and driving into sunset with Tim … You have to read the series in order as each book builds upon the previous one. It is a series that you will not regret spending time with. I have read other stories where the lead is a survival of horrible events and what I loved about this series is the way Valerie takes back her power, I love the group of women that she discovers her strength with and the lasting positive relationships that she builds. The burden she carries is heavy and the secrets she keeps weigh her down even more but at the end of the day, she has an opportunity to come to her power and fly!

The Perfect Outcast By Melissa O. Hansen 5 out of 5 stars
I loved reading the book The Perfect Outcast by Melissa O. Hansen. It is a story that pulled me in from the beginning and didn’t let me go until the final page. The author does an amazing job of world-building as well as making both the storyline and the characters come alive on the pages. I loved the character of Alina. She is a young woman who starts as one person in the beginning and during the story starts to change. She shows herself to be intelligent, strong, and independent. She is an amazing character and one that I could root for her to succeed in all that she does. Alina has always longed to fit into the society that she lives in. Everyone there seems perfect except for her. Secrets and a conspiracy are uncovered. What does the future hold for Alina? Read this book to find out. This is a story that had me hooked from the very beginning. There were times I was on the edge of my seat wondering what was going to happen next. I grew to care about Alina with each chapter that I read. Other additional characters are introduced, and I enjoyed reading about many of them as they are helpful to Alina. There are others however that have a selfish agenda. Don’t miss out on an amazing and entertaining book. I highly recommend reading it.

Just One Song (Just One… Book 2) by Lynn Stevens is a sweet YA romance and is an emotional story. You are sucked right into the story where there are drama and lies, secrets and angst and dreams of a future self. The storyline and the characters pop. It is a highly entertaining story that you can lose yourself in. Small town girl dreams big but will a Rock Star coming to town help or hinder her dreams?

Accountability (Scope of Practice Book 3) by Jessica Aiken-Hall is a mystery crime story that is full of suspense and intrigue. You have to read the other two books in this series or you are missing part of the overall experience. Jessica has done a great job of building the suspense which keeps your senses heightened waiting for the shoe to drop. Everything we know will be just as tested as our MC as the past and present collide.

Road Tripped: Satan’s Devils MC Utah #1 by Manda Mellett is WOW, another wonderful addition to the Satan’s Devils MC’s many series. It is action packed, fast paced and full of suspense. But it doesn’t stop there, Manda has once again taken us through our paces and given us something a little different from the norm with this series and has out done herself. Lies and secrets, drama and tense moments and many, many moments where you think WTF! Expect the unexpected and more twist and turns than a ride through mountains on the back of a bike. You go girl!

I have come to absolutely love this author. This was a great contemporary romance. Once I started reading, I could not put this book down until I finished it. The characters pulled me in and I fell head over hells. It was sweet and romantic but also had just the right about of drama…. I will read anything that this author puts out!!!! I can not wait for more!

I enjoyed this book. This is a young adult story that is well written with characters that are connectable and bring the story alive. This is a story about a young girl named Alina who lives in Pria where everyone is immortal but her. But things may not be as they appear. Things may not be as perfect as all want them to be. She really just wants to fit in some place. As she searches for the courage and freedom she longs for she may just uncover some dark past. Will she find what she is searching for before it is too late? This is a little different story but I really enjoyed it. The more I read the more I really liked Alina and felt for her. She made such a great character and made the story easy to read. I highly recommend this book.
This is not my first book by this author but it is one of my favorites by her yet. One thing I enjoy about this author is her ability to pull me into the story with ease. Her story is easy to read and entertaining. This book is no different. This is a shorter story that is part of a series which I highly suggest reading all of. This author’s attention to details made me feel as if I was right there with the characters. I had no issues connecting to them and really enjoyed the journey they brought. They bring lots of action, mystery and suspense. Al black markets body parts and Loyda is an investigator and is willing to do anything to capture her culprits. What will happen when she finds herself begin accused of murder and only one person can help her prove her innocence? They are such great, strong characters that made the story for me and kept me turning pages. This is a fast paced, easy story to read which I highly recommend.
