Mountains Series Boxed Set: (Books 1-3)Mountains Series Boxed Set: by Phoebe Alexander
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This boxed set is amazing! Each of the three books in this set was well-written and I enjoyed every word! James and Sarah’s story feels so real. Sarah is a single mother to two children and a professor at a local university. James also works at the university. From the moment they meet, there is chemistry. Don’t get me wrong, their relationship is not all rainbows and unicorns. This is a series filled with hard times and the real battles that relationships endure in order to survive. There is love and laughter, but also tears and anger. I felt every emotion alongside the characters as I read these books. This is a series that I highly recommend others read!!

FLOWERS IN DECEMBER TRILOGY: Flowers in December, Coming Home, Second Chance by Jane Suen – Review by Erica Fish

FLOWERS IN DECEMBER TRILOGYFLOWERS IN DECEMBER TRILOGY by Jane Suen
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Flowers in December Trilogy by Jane Suen is a great family base story. This trilogy is about raw emotions: hope, loss, love, and second chances. Jane Suen does a wonderful job creating multi layers, fully developed characters. The stories flowed easily from one page to another page to the next book in the series. I found myself in the story with Mary Ann and Connor’s relationship and their life choices and situations. The story does have a roller coaster ride of ups and downs so I would make sure you have kleenex by you. I encourage you to read this trilogy because you will not regret it.

Flowers in December Trilogy By Jane Suen
4 Stars!!!!

I have read this whole series and I really highly recommend it. I find that this author has a very refreshing writing style and she brings the characters and story to life. I also like how she writes and deals with real life issues.

The first book Flowers in December really hit home to me as I had also recently lost my mom. I really could relate to Conner. The author really writes this journey very well. I found that I could really relate to a lot of the emotions he was going through and the regret. I truly was glued to the pages and found that in a way it actually helped me to sort through my own grief.

The second book Coming Home again was another stage of the grief process. I found that I was quite eager to see how Conner would adjust to the new circumstances and how he would adjust. I like how the author starts off the new journey as his grief transforms through the stages. I like how Mary Ann comes into his life but by the end of the book I am on the edge of my seat to see what would happen and the way Conner messes up in the end. I was so eager for the finale book to see how things would unfold.

The third book Second Chance really grabbed me from the get go. I liked the way that the author began the romance slow as it as the title says a second chance. I really like how the author’s writing style isn’t predictable. This third book I felt the chemistry between Conner and Mary Ann and was glad that all ended well in the end. It was such a great ending to the series. I really recommend this author and her books. I look forward to reading more from her in the future.

King & Hunt: A Lust / Hate Story By Brienne Dubh – Review by Jennifer Gordon

King & Hunt: A Lust / Hate StoryKing & Hunt: A Lust / Hate Story by Brienne Dubh
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is a great enemies to lovers fun, dirty, steamy read which is intended for 18+ readers.
As it’s an novella it’s a quick read but has a full story, Brienne Dubh’s ‘King & Hunt: A Lust/Hate Story’ features Christian Hunt and Gabriella King who hated each other on sight and over the years things have just gotten worse. Unfortunately for the two of them Gabby’s best friend Amy is Christian’s twin sister so they keep having to meet, like at the twins 30th birthday party where they both promise Amy they will behave, but can they manage it?
I really enjoyed this story, you could feel both the hatred and the chemistry between Gabby and Christian or ‘Gobby’ and ‘Hunt’ as they call each other. I love lines from the author like,” “Hunt,” Gabby greeted briskly. It was clear by her tone she meant Hunt with a C”. The book is full of great one liners, mostly insults between the two main characters which had me laughing throughout the book. It also has its steamy moments following their ‘truce’ at the twins party and some emotional moments too as the pair realise that it’s a fine line between love and hate or at least hate and lust, so a bit of everything all in a short read. I loved it and definitely recommend it. I’m eager to read more from author Brienne Dubh.

***sigh***

I have so many conflicting emotions with this book….I don’t think I have ever in all my years of reading wanted to crawl into a book and hit somebody upside the head as bad as I wanted to in this book. This is an ongoing story so please don’t try to read this as a standalone, there is so much substance you will be missing if you do that. I will not go into any detail regarding the storyline so as not to spoil anything from the first 2 books.

There is so much involved in this story that I don’t understand and don’t relate to, but I sincerely felt every emotion as if I did. I have grown to understand a little bit more after finishing because of the way this author explained the feelings being felt throughout. I have become completely invested in these characters, every one of them and was sad when i hit the end. I have such a high respect for Sarah, i could feel the torment she went through at times as if it were me in the story, her strength to do what her head told her to do even though her heart was shattered was so brave, classifying her as one of the strongest people i have ever read about.

I truly loved this book, the writing style of this author is unmatched and she has made putting the books down almost impossible. I very often love to go back and reread some of my favorites and I can not wait to do that with this whole series.

A Must Read…

Rockin’ It Home: a Lawson Family Novel
By Tracey Cramer-Kelly
5 out of 5 stars

I loved reading the story Rockin’ It Home: a Lawson Family Novel by Tracey Cramer-Kelly. It is a book that pulled me in from the very beginning and didn’t let me go until the final page. I loved reading about the characters of Benjamin Lawson and Danielle de Luca. Ben is a rock star who only feels at home on the stage. He is good at writing and performing. He also has a constant struggle with drinking. This leads to him getting a personal assistant to keep him in line. While Danielle believes her job is to babysit Ben, she is glad to have work. While the two of them have a bit of a rough start they soon settle into a comfortable working relationship. What happens when it turns into something more? What does the future hold for Danielle and Ben? Read this book to find out. This is a wonderful story to read. My emotions went up and down as I was reading. I grew to care about what happened to Danielle and Ben and wanted them to find happiness. I also loved that Ben is so devoted to his young daughter. This is a book about second chances, finding love, and dealing with the past. The author has written a story that is wonderful to read. There are moments that make you smile and others that touch your heart. Don’t miss out on an amazing story. I would highly recommend it.

King & Hunt: A Lust / Hate Story By Brienne Dubh. This is the story of Christian Hunt & Gabriella King who have a love/hate relationship. When they first meet they are instantly full of hate for one another and as the years have gone by things only get worse. They always have smart things to say to one another and not nice things. Gabriella is smart, beautiful, sassy and got a mind of her own so she doesn’t take too well to Christian telling her what to do. They finally call a temporary truce and it causes them both confusion. Has their feelings changed from hate to more positive feelings? They have always felt the sexual tension between each other but their hate always overruled it. What will happen between them? Will they give in to their desires? I loved this book! Its a short, fun ,sexy read.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Forget Nico: Falling for the Wrong Italian (Italian Teens novel 1, The Italian Saga) by Gaia B. Amman. I love this series. Its the third book in the series and its the continuing saga of Leda and her friends especially Nico who she really likes. She gets the attention of other boys but not the one she wants. This story is full of teen angst and all the other junk that goes with being a teenager. Nico is also in trouble and Leda can’t believe that he would do what they are saying he has done. Nico is feeling totally alone and his brooding and shady actions leave Leda feeling like she is not sure of her feelings. Torn between wanting him and feeling like he’s being a jerk Leda is just as confused as ever. This book just made me relive my teenage years and remember how horrible this stage of life can be. This book can be read as a standalone but I would recommend reading them all in order just to get the basics of everyone down. I really enjoy this series and can’t wait for the next book .

Out Of The Shadows by Theresa Sederholt. This is a new to me author. WOW!!! What an emotional, amazing book. My heart absolutely broke for both Dane and Brady. The torture and torment that they both went through was absolutely devastating. While it took a lot for me to emotionally get through this book, I could not put it down…. I was engulfed in the story and I couldn’t get to the end fast enough.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

A Kiss Beneath A Strawberry Moon (Daydreams & Dragonflies Rock ‘N Sweet Romance #3) by Tamara Ferguson is another wonderful and sweet romance. Tamara’s books are the gift that keeps on giving. It gives you all the good feels. Young love that stands the test of time and to believe in that love, when otherwise seems to be true. Tamara writes with a style that is easy and welcoming and always makes it seem as though Crystal Rock and the characters are real and inviting. I have never read a book by Tamara that I have not liked.

Marielle is a talented singer and is on her way to becoming a star. She has met her true love at a young age but is drawn apart from him not knowing why.

Drew is a skilled composer, but his plans change due to deception to join the military. He is learning to live with an injury and has closed himself off from the one person who can help him fully heal.

Out Of The Shadows is the first book I have read by Theresa Sederholt, but definitely won’t be the last. This book is a real heartbreaker. I never really thought about domestic violence where the man is the one being abused, but Ms. Sederholt really opened my eyes on this subject. I have to say, this book is going to wrench your heat out and stomp on it. I went through a half a box of tissues while reading. The characters were detailed, and the subject was heartbreaking. I am amazed how well Ms. Sederholt portrayedthis sensitive subjects. I can’t wait to get my hands on Ms. Sederholt’s other stories.

TWO HEARTS UNLIKELY HEROES (Two Hearts Wounded Warrior Romance Book 8) by Tamara Ferguson – Review by Angela Hayes

Two Hearts Unlikely Heroes (Two Hearts Wounded Warrior Romance #9)Two Hearts Unlikely Heroes by Tamara Ferguson
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Two Hearts Unlikely Heroes is the ninth book in the Two Hearts Wounded Warrior Romance Series by Tamara Ferguson. I don’t know how Ms. Ferguson manages to do it- but each new release seems to sightly eclipse the one before. You’d think that nine books in, the series may be starting to lose momentum, or start to ‘wind down’ – but not this series, it just seems to get better and better. Ms. Ferguson weaves a wonderful romance around a gripping suspense- bringing two of my favourite elements together in one unputdownable package. This is a superb romantic suspense- with a wounded warrior/military theme, second chances, drama, mystery, emotion, intrigue, action, and more.
Samantha Caldwell and Benjamin Nash’s first encounter is in war torn Iraq when Samantha’s team is attacked by terrorists. She is wounded in the ensuing fight and left bleeding on the side of the road where Benjamin finds her. As rescue arrives, Benjamin is also shot and wounded. But this is not the end of their story- as fate brings them together again 2 years later at the Wounded Warrior training facility in Crystal Rock, Wisconsin. Soon romance is in the air, but also find themselves in a new battle of survival- as Samantha is once more targeted by terrorists. What happens makes for an exciting read.
This is a fast paced, quick, and easy read. It can be read as a standalone, but as the series revolves around Crystal Rock and the close-knit community there- I really recommend the rest of the books in the series too. Reading them will help build a much bigger picture, where you will discover interconnected storylines, character connections and gain a much better appreciation for these books/series!
I really can’t wait to see what Ms. Ferguson does next!

Thank you, Ms. Ferguson!

This novel for me was a bit different. Although it was a paranormal novel, it came with a bit of a twist. Dragomir’s journey to learning how to control his curse was unique. The method use was different but, in the end, proved effective. If you are looking for some intense drama and not afraid to be adventuresome, then this is the book for you. Katerina Ross has a way with words and her story was delightful to read.

☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆
This is the continued story of Dr. Sarah Lynde and Lt. James McAllister. This I think was the hardest book to read, as James and Sarah still have struggles. Don’t get me wrong. All relationships have struggles, we have all been there. But for Sarah and James, this is a whole new struggle. Learning to be honest and communication is a real struggle. James sure tried, Sarah and even my patience. So having said that let’s throw in some polyamorous and see who talks first. This is where open communication happens. Do you think these two can get through this? Can Sarah and James work together to climb yet another mountain? Recover and still love each other?

Phoebe Alexander has written yet another book that tore my heart out. I think this series gave so much to their story. You can’t help but fall in love with her characters. Phoebe Alexander writes of strong women, who fight for what they want. She also writes from her heart. This series hit so many feelings. Happy, sad, anger, and communication, let’s not forget trust. This series is for those over 18. Take a chance and give this some reading. Remember to read the series in order. Thank You Phoebe Alexander for this great series!!!

So Hot!! The chemistry is there from the very first page of the book. Gabriella King is a smart, witty, sarcastic woman who knows what she likes, and who she doesn’t like. Christian Hunt, well hes just smoking hot and sexy, and gives as good as he gets. He is also not afraid to go after what he wants and has the determination to get it. This story pulled me in from page one, and it just got hotter and steamier from there. It made me laugh a few times, and turn the fan on high others. It gets better the more you read, one of those “I’m just going to read a few more pages before bed” then realize its been more than a few pages. I highly recommend this book, if you want something that is truly good with a lot of naughty in it.

Lisa: Coming of Age is the first book in the The Guardian Shifters by KM Lowe. KM Lowe put a lot of creativity into her story. She made her shifter story unique. It is a romance book with paranormal roots as well. Her characters are multi-layer which makes seeing them in my mind’s eye easy. This story is about Lisa. Lisa was left on hospital stairs seventeen years ago. She never wanted for anything in her life, until now. She was curious about her birth parents and what led them to leave her on those hospital stairs. She turns to her best friend Markus to help her understand what is going on with her. What will Lisa find out? With her relationship to Markus remain intact? This is a great book and I highly recommend you read this story for yourself.

A short and steamy read is how the author describes this book and I 100% agree! I absolutely loved everything about this book! It was a great example of an enemies to lovers story – a genre I really like! There was definitely some hatred between the two characters, Christian and Gabriella but there was also a lot of chemistry and lust! I loved reading about them, the banter between them, the flying insults but once that truce between them has been called then the heat level between them begins to rise!
This is the first book that I have read by this author and I cannot wait to read more of her work! I 100% recommend this book!

Irresistible Valentine anthology is a collection of works by some fantastic authors. I have read all of these authors previously and could not wait to get my hands on these stories.
I really enjoyed how these books were all different from each other. They had the same feel and yet there was never a risk of them all “becoming one” as I often find is the issue with anthologies. Each authors voice was distinctive and easy to hear.
The stories were all varied but well developed. There isn’t one that I didn’t like.
This is a great anthology and one that I would recommend.

Black Cat Security by Katerina Ross is an interesting story that is a nice quick read. This is the first book that I have read by this author and while I enjoyed the basis of the story I did think at times it felt like there was something missing.
I think because the book is a novella it felt like the story were a bit rushed. I definitely think it would have benefitted from being a full length novel as the story itself were good and I quite liked the characters. The author clearly has a strong writing style which carried the book forward.
Overall this is a good book and I will definitely read more by this author in the future.

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Black Cat Security by Katerina Ross was a decent story. It’s a very short, fantasy story, that grabbed my attention but had to work to keep it. The story wasn’t what I was expecting from reading the synopsis, and the ending was a little strange for my tastes. It wasn’t a bad novella though! It just wasn’t my favorite. The story was very well written, I just didn’t have much background information to go on. I’m not sure if it was a continuation of a series, or what. I liked the story, just again it wasn’t personally for me. Four stars for writing, because the writing was incredible.
