The Fisher Men on the X (Fisher Men Book 3) by Rebel Nicks O’Dey. This is the third book in the Fisher Men Series and also the third book by this author that I have read. I absolutely loved this entire series and this book of course, was no different. This book can be read as a stand-alone but in order to get a better grasp on the characters and backstories, I would recommend reading the previous books. I was hooked from page one and couldn’t read this book fast enough. I most definitely recommend this book and series!!!!!

5 Star Beneath the Fallen City (The Omni Towers Series Book 1) by Jamie A. Waters is a very well written and I found it to be engaging as well. I found myself lost in the pages and couldn’t stop reading till the end. 150 years after a world war has destroyed the Earth, Kayla savage’s through rubble looking for goods that she can sell it for necessities. Kayla works with a group of other but is a girl who can hold her own. Carl is her nemesis and an official trader. He has a habit of ripping her off amongst others. Although there is definitely a attraction between them she really doesn’t want to stick around.. These two are not able to live OmniLab Towers,they were built before the war and only allow select people who are usually wealthy. Find out what happens next in this must read. I look forward to reading more from this Author.

A great reas about intrigue. Johnny Delarosa returns to investigate a new mystery..he takes a case where a young woman wants revenge on her cheating husband by any means necessary. But there is more to the story with technological giants and Russian mafia get involved. Can he solve it all? A great read. Well developed plot with twists and turns. Although at times it felt a little complicated with a lot going on and was hard to read. Well developed characters like Johnny determined to get to the truth but caring underneath. Great cast of supporting characters like the feisty kate or the supportive Mike. I also liked the use of suspense throughout the novlr as details were revealed slowly to keep you reading to find out what happened and who was behind it. The only issue I woolf Roade is that there were many long sentences that made the book hard to read which could have been reduced with a variety of sentence lengths. Fast paced action and high stakes made for a captivating read. Overall, a great read and I would give it four stars

Toxic Blond is the second book in the series and PI Delarosa is back at it again. This story is full of all the good stuff… mystery, suspense and lots and lots of action. Delarosa picks up a case he thinks will be simple open and shut case, but that is so far from the truth. Two people he knows are caught up in the middle and it keeps getting messier and messier. Will he be able to solve this case before anyone gets seriously hurt? The characters in this book are great. The author put a lot of detail in his characters and story I felt like I was solving the case right along with Delarosa. I would like to read more by this author and I would recommend this to anyone that likes a good mystery. Happy Reading!

Claiming the Cowboy for Christmas was a great 5 star read and book four in the Hills of Texas series.
Ashley has gone home for the holidays and her sister’s wedding. She has avoided going home for two years, it’s time she finally comes home to face the inevitable. The catch is that her sister’s fiance is Ashley’s ex.
While out with the girls for the bachelorette party Ashley literally runs into a blast from the past. Jennings Hill, the man that used to be her best friend when they were growing up. When she started dating, Jennings changed and treated her terribly. He ends up taking a drunk Ashley to her hotel and stays to help her. This is where things get complicated.
Jennings has always had feelings for Ashley and now that she’s home things are stirring again. And when the local rumor mill starts up things get very interesting for them.
Can these two finally get together and have a HEA? Or will Ashley leave town once the holidays are over?
If you’re looking for a fun romance with some LOL moments and great characters this is the book for you. Kadie Scott pulled me in with her writing and I didn’t want to stop until I was done. I can’t wait to read more from the series 1-click and get started today.

My Life Series: Box Set: Prequel to Brothers of Camelot by Necie Navone was an amazing read. I’m generally not a big fan of prequels but I really loved the books in this series So, i gave it a try. I really enjoy the characters and the story line of this series and the prequels did not disappoint. I really enjoyed this authors writing style and the words coming to life in the paper. Overall, I recommend this author and the series to anyone who enjoys crime drama! Cant wait to see What this author does next. Individually and as a box set I give these books each a 5 star rating! Oh my goodness, where has this author been all my life? I was so enthralled with this book that i got nothing done around my house once I started. I love a good mystery and I had my finger pointed to 2 different people for who did it, and while one of them was right, it still took me by surprise as to how and why and what else followed. I loved seeing the main characters struggle and her life in general but also she wasn’t just a damsel in distress she took action and kept on going. This has a small undercurrent of a budding attraction but the main story is the murder and I liked the break from reality this gave me. Will be reading more!

This is a creative and intriguing story. It pulls you in from the very beginning and doesn’t let you go until the final page. I loved reading about the characters oh Kayla and Carl. I grew to care about them with each chapter that I read. Kayla is intelligent, independent, strong, and stubborn. The story is well-written and creative. I also enjoyed reading about the other characters that are introduced in the book. The author does a great job in writing a detailed story. There are times that I felt like I was right there with the characters. It is a book I would highly recommend.

This is a great story! This is the second book in the series. It is just as thoroughly enjoyable as the first one. The story starts off pretty basic as far as PI work goes but something changes and it becomes everyone’s nightmare. The characters are full of life and charisma. We have quite a few new characters to enjoy as well as the old favorites (Mike, Johnny and Katie). I will mention that Eric is my most favorite new character in this story and I hope we haven’t seen the last of him.
This author has gone and surprised me with this thrilling story. I love reading about Johnny and his adventures. I never know what is going to happen next and that keeps me reading. This is a great series and I can’t wait to see what sort of trouble adopts Johnny In the next book.

Beneath the Fallen City by Jamie A Waters is the first book in The Omni Towers series. I jumped right in and I am glad I did. This is a dystopian story with a science-fiction edge to it. Kayla is a survivor and tough to boot. When she becomes the hunted she has to team up with her enemy. I do not want to give more away because you need to read Kayla’s adventure to find out what happens. The writing is really well done and kept me reading from start to finish. I enjoyed the different characters and how they helped bring me into their world. I look forward to the next book in the series.

Toxic Blonde: A Johnny Delarosa Thriller (The Delarosa Series Book 2) by David Stever is full of mystery and action, suspense and secrets. David takes us on a trip into a world where Russian spies, lies and deceit show how fickle some men can be. Espionage and a brutal femme fatale lead the gang on a wild chase where she is one step ahead. I enjoy the way David tells a story that is easy to lose yourself in. Just when you think you have it all worked out you are suddenly thrown off in another direction. I also love the humour that is woven in.
Delarosa is a PI and once again hired to investigate an unfaithful spouse but it is anything, but a normal case and his chestnuts are in danger of being lost.
You need to read these fab books in order to fully appreciate these wonderful characters.

Diamonds & Deception (Karina Cardinal Mystery Book 3) by Ellen Butler is another great tale in this wonderful and addictive series. I love Karina Cardinal and the Silverthorne team. This thrilling mystery keeps you on your toes and the plot is sensational as Ellen carefully weaves all the threads to one explosive story. I also love the way that Ellen comes up with different themes for each story. There is action and romance, lies and deceit, friendship and family. Stolen jewels and mistaken identity lead to kidnapping and drug cartels, human trafficking and suspense.
Karina doesn’t even have to try, and danger comes calling but this time there is more at stake.
I tell you this series should be made into a movie or a tv series. It is entertaining, enthralling and engrossing and I eagerly await the next in the series.

I enjoyed this book. This author continues to impress me with each book I read. The story is well written with lots of emotions and kept me engaged to the end. I read this book in one sitting, the emotional roller coaster had me turning pages fast. Grief and fate bring Ginger and Johnathan together but what will fate do? Do they have a future or will they part ways. They are great characters with heart and in need of healing. I highly recommend their story, it will warm your heart.

Chicken Scratch (The Sisters, Texas Mystery Series Book 1) by Becki Willis is a thrilling mystery romance that you will keep turning page after page to get to the end. Who needs sleep? I have not read any of Becki’s work and I am truly impressed. The plot is superb, the pace just right, the characters are unique and a little quirky and lots of suspense to enjoy this tale to its fullest.
Maddison’s husband left her in a mess and having no choice returned to her hometown and into the arms of her grandmother with her twins in tow. To her surprise she discovers a body on her first day at a new job. Will she continue or has she put not only herself in danger but the rest of her family as well?

Claiming the Cowboy for Christmas by Kadie Scott is the fourth book in the Hills of Texas series. This book can be read as a standalone. As with all books I have read by this author the moment I started reading this book I found myself lost within it. The characters were fun to read about – the connection between Jennings and Ashley was obvious and it was great that they already had a friendship built up. I could easily see their interactions and found them all to be enjoyable. The story was easy going and well written. It is the perfect lazy afternoon type book. The author does a great job a painting the picture of what is happening. This series has been entertaining and thoroughly enjoyable so far, I can’t wait to see what else is to come.

What a brilliant introduction to this new author. This being my first read from Jamie A. Waters I didn’t know what to expect, but I was most definitely not disappointed, this author has an incredible writing style one that’s full of action, adventure and romance. This author has created a storyline that is captivating and keeps you hooked from start to finish, and characters that are well developed, relatable and you can’t help but really enjoy following their journey. This book has twists and turns that leave you wanting more.

Matt’s Swirly World by Madeleine Matthews is the perfect portrayal of the stages kids go through and how, as a parent, understanding these stages better equips you to deal with them. I was unsure at first as to whether or not I should try this book. My little one is younger than the recommended age for children but as a parent I was drawn to the teachings it alluded to. So, slightly dubious, I decided I would give it a try. My initial thoughts were that my little one definitely would not understand this, and actually even by the age of 3 I would still question if their level of understanding would be developed enough. For me it is perfect for kids of school age, who are going through a lot emotionally in terms of development. However, as a parent this book hit every aspect. Although my little one might not understand it, I can still see how she is going through these emotions. It helped to conceptualise what she might be going through and brought me a whole new level of understanding on how to deal with. I am so glad that I gave this book the benefit of the doubt and it is one that I will definitely shelve for later when I know my little one will benefit from us reading it together.
I have never had the pleasure of reading anything by Jamie A. Waters previous to Beneath the Fallen City. I really just loved the cover and the blurb was just enough divulging that I really wanted to know what the whole story was. Beneath the Fallen City is the first of The Omni Towers Series. I felt like there is something for everyone with this book. You have the dystopian world that is post-apocalyptic. Of course there is the action and adventure that seems to accompany the genre but I like the drama and character stories. They add a flare that I feel lacks in a lot of the dystopian novels that I find myself reading. I definitely enjoyed our MC, Kayla. She is a strong voice and a strong woman who takes up the task without hesitation. I loved the world building as well. I felt as if I was in the far off world with Kayla as she scavengers and attempts to keep herself alive and in one piece. I am looking forward to seeing what the next books will bring. In the time I wait I will go and see what else might be available by Jamie A Waters.

Run from Love (Bowser Belles Book 2) by Teddy Cat Hester. This is such a fun sweet story. This is the story of Scarlett Peacock who has a strict 6 month rule when it comes to dating. Her first loves are her Swiss Mountain Dogs Daffy and Dilly. The 6 month rule saves her from getting too involved. . She is always upfront about it when she starts dating so there are no hard feelings. Nick Schafer is head over heels in love with Scarlett and he knows about her resistance to relationships but he’s determined to break the 6 month rule! Scarlett is now well into the 6 month time table with Nick a single dad but something about Nick is different than its ever been. She is reluctant to let the 6 months end. Will Scarlett break her 6 month rule for Nick or will she run from love as she always does. I loved this story and especially loved Daffy and Dilly! Read Run from Love you will be so glad you did!

Ok, this is a new author to me and it sounded good, but I have been disappointed so many times in the past, I had no idea what to expect. OH. MY. GOD. This book was so good! The story itself is original and captures you from the beginning, never letting go until the end. And there is so much to the story! I found at least two different spots where a other books might end, but the story just keeps going on. You definitely get your money’s worth buying this book. The story itself covers many feelings: despair, love, fear, hope, and some humor thrown in to make it a rollercoaster ride of emotions you will happily ride. The world building is superb too, the author totally paints the picture of what she envisioned and you feel like you are there.
But we can’t forget the characters. Kayla is a superb main character. She feels lost, her parents have been gone for so long and in one way or another has lost all those she loved. Her best friend is all she has. Then she meets more people along the way and she has to decide if she should open her heart or not. There are many decisions she has to make in the story, and she uses her heart and what she has learned to decide. Most people do not understand her, but that still hasn’t stopped her from caring. There are so many secondary characters I could mention too, but I do no want to give anything away. I can say though that each one — whether friend or foe — is individual and stands apart from the others. There are quite a few I hope to see in the next book.
Ok, I think I am done gushing now. I have found a new author to love and cannot wait to read the next book. Needless to say, I highly recommend this wonderful book!

This book is a must read for anyone who loves a wonderful friends to lovers/contemporary holiday romance. It is a fun read that entertained me from beginning to end. If you have been following the ‘Hills of Texas’ series then you definitely won’t want to miss this story- you should definitely grab yourself a copy of this book and dive in ASAP. And if you are new to this series, or Kadie Scott’s work- then don’t worry, because this book can be read as a standalone, but be warned- there are recurring characters in this book/series, so be prepared to be intrigued enough by them to want to go back and to discover more about them all, by reading the other three books. Claiming the Cowboy for Christmas is the fourth book in the Hills of Texas Series by Kadie Scott. It is a great (western) friends-to-lovers story; with swoony cowboys, a small town atmosphere, a little drama, plenty of chemistry, angst, some emotion, humour, second chances, forgiveness, and new beginnings- all wrapped up with a Christmas bow.

Ashley Hughes would love to just skip Christmas this year. She’s been avoiding going back ‘home’- but now she doesn’t have a choice because her twin sister is getting married. Now normally a Christmas wedding would be so romantic- but not when your twin is marring your Ex! Added to her stress is also knowing she will have to face the sexy cowboy who had once been her best friend- whilst dealing with the small-town rumour mill. Jennings, who we’ve met in previous books, is the youngest of the Hill brothers. He’s charming and has a ‘history’ with Ashley. He’d always wanted to be more than just ‘friends’ with Ashley- and now she’s back having to deal with an awkward and painful situation. When he ends up being her ‘plus one’ to the wedding, it and may just ignite the spark that has been simmering between them. This story was just like listening to a great country music song- with all the angsty, push-pull, broken hearts, mending fences, and finding love again. Ms. Scott proves to be a great storyteller who knows her craft and never fails to deliver a wonderful story. This would make a great Christmas movie too. I can’t wait to continue this series. Bring on Book five!!

I love Christmas books! They always get me into the moos for the holiday season no matter when I read them!
Ashley would love to do anything but deal with her hometown and all their whispers about her sister marrying her ex! Ashley has absolutely no feelings for him what-so-ever but that’s something no one believes. Enter Jennings, the ex best friend and person who is now her savior. He wants to help her out when it comes to town rumors but then rumors are linking them together romantically. The feelings stir but they are both too stubborn to admit it to one another! Will their stubbornness keep them apart?
I love Kadie Scott’s books. They being you all the feels, angst, drama, and everything you look for in a good book!

Another great great in the Satan Devils Colorado Chapter by Manda Mellett. Her books always have a way of bringing me into the story and holding me there till the very end. I may have not liked how the two main characters were brought together but they went through so much and together they came out stronger. I connected with Mel so much in this book and wish I could have read even more! I love how the Vegas trip and getting to meet so many more of the crew Ana Insight the crew! I love this story, I love this author. Each story in my view gets better and better! I can’t wait to read more and honestly have already started reading more of her other series! I give this book five stars.
Higher Elevation Series : Books 1-3 by Renee Regent. I’m always happy to see box sets because I love reading books all at once. This set of stories had me on the edge of my seat with its suspense. Each story has relatable characters that draw you into their world and you can’t help but want to stay. I was completely hooked from page one of each story they all had me guessing right up until the end. If you’re looking for a series to sink into I highly recommend this series. It’s well written and paced nicely never feeling rushed or lacking anything. Each story will have you turning the pages as fast as possible to see where it’s all going. Five stars all the way and I can’t wait to see where this author takes readers next.
This is my first book by this author, I loved it. This was a page turner from the beginning and kept me engaged to the last page. It has great details that makes it feel realistic. The twists and turns made me sitting on the edge of my seat almost from the start. What turns out to be a night of reunion turns into a night of revenge. Will Issac get his revenge? He is a great character that has paid his dues and now just wants to be normal. I highly recommend finding out what happens next.
