This book was a huge catch. I loved reading it and is a re readable book. It had me captured by the first chapter. Its a book i would buy digitally or a book to put on my book shelf or both. I would recommend this book a thousand times over.

The Fisher Men X My Heart (The Fisher Men Book 1) by Rebel Nicks O’Dey
5-Stars
The Fisher Men X My Heart (The Fisher Men Book 1) by Rebel Nicks O’Dey was an eye opening, heart wrenching and romantic read. I was hooked by the storyline from page one. I loved the writing style the author used to portray the story as an ongoing journalist interview. It really helped me focus in and gave me breaks from overwhelming heartache at times. I loved all the characters in this book except I seriously disliked the antagonists. They were created to be disliked though. The author made it easy to feel the pain and emotions of the main character during and after “the incident”. This story does feature graphic rape and sexual assault scenes that may not be appealing to some but really set the tone of the story. This is also the first book of this series. I highly recommend it and I look forward to reading more.

Shattered Melody is a stand alone novella by Amy McKinley though we there are some connections to the Grey Ghost series. I’m hoping this is a bridge between Grey Ghost and a new series. (Fingers crossed)
I liked Emma, but also felt so bad for her. She is still hurting after three years and deals with that pain the only way she knows how. She isolates herself with only her cat and music to keep her company.
I loved the little bit of suspense thrown in for good measure. Each book I read by Ms. McKinley makes me like her just a bit more.

I found this book to be fun, romantic, and unique. I loved how a lot of the laws include Aiko. Although she goes about things in a very unconventional way, I still thought she was sassy and really wanted to do the right thing. She night bend the rules a little but it’s for all the right reasons. I felt like her sisters were really hard on her ( not that they didn’t have good reason) but it would be interesting to get to know them better. I like Alejandro’s character as well, even the times I rolled my eyes at him. Over all I really enjoyed this book and I recommend reading this story.

The Fisher Men X My Heart by Rebel Nicks O’Dey was a great book. From the beginning I was sucked in and wanted to know everything I could about the Fisher men. This is a new author for me but this won’t be my last book. I loved the way she told the story and really loved this book way more than I thought. I loved the characters so much. I also really loved that she put the forewarning about something that happens in the book. Overall I was really impressed and can’t wait to read the next one. 5 star rating!

Gumshoe and the Mysterious Mushrooms is the first book in the Gumshoe Mysteries Series by Laura Hawks. This teen mystery book was a good read and held me until the very end. Today is Mia’s 15th birthday, her parents are called into the school to speak to her teacher and then her father is arrested. Then out of nowhere a cat shows up and starts talking to her! Instead of getting upset, she sets out with her new found friend to help her family and spare the family name. But now the only question is, will her snooping help her or be the end of Mia? You must read this to find out and I will say you WILL NOT be disappointed.
This is my first read by this author and it will not be my last. I found the story line strong, characters I adored, and a plot that held me till the end. Mia and Gumshoe really wormed their way into my heart and I cannot wait to read more in this series! 4 stars and highly recommended.

The Fisher Mex X My Heart is the first book I read by Rebel Nicks O’Dey, and I loved it. I am so glad there is going to be a whole series about this family! The synopsis drew me in, and I was curious how it all would unfold. In the beginning I thought it was weird that Samantha is so close to all of the Fisher boys, but by the end it totally made sense. I do feel bad for Chrissy for loosing a close friend to her brothers, but she handled it well and seemed okay with it. The characters are so well developed, and I love that each Fisher has a unique relationship with Samantha. Rebel has a way of writing that lets us envision the scene, and it was great. The end of the book almost made me cry, but I wont say why. Highly recommend this book and cant wait for the next in the series.

Michael’s Heart by Lori Thomas Harrington is a beautifully written story that had me hooked from chapter one until the end. Colbie is compassionate, strong, and very smart. One thing that Colbie always loved was music and when her heart stopped on the operating table she entered a new world. Colbie meets Michael. Here she hears the music loud and clear. When she awakened in the recovery room, she needs to gain her life back and once again her the music that always filled her.
This book was beautiful and grabbed at my heart strings. I felt like I could close my eyes and see two characters that will stay inside my heart for a long time. The author has given us a simply beautiful, emotional, journey about life and love. I give this book 5 stars and highly recommend this book!

This is not my first book by this author but it is my favorite. This is a creative, well written story that had me sitting on the edge of my seat a few times. I enjoyed how I was pulled into the story right from the start. It is full of action, mystery and suspense that kept me engaged until the end. This is a story about lies, truth, murder and the danger that life can get you in. The MC is a strong, head strong character that I made this story pop. I highly recommend this book.
The Girls Across The Bay from Emerald O’Brien was a toss up for me most of the way through. I absolutely adore O’Brien’s writing and several of her previous books. This one was a bit difficult for me though. I adored the concept and the final way things turned out, but the reading was a tad confusing for myself at times. Don’t get me wrong I fully feel that the story itself is worthy of four stars easily. It just has to be said that this is wordy. So much so that at times I often confused the sisters dialogue and well just the two in general. I usually love dual POV reads because it gives the insight into each character. This did so but it was so much that at times I couldn’t keep it straight.
The story and mystery itself was intriguing. I loved the background it was set against and felt transformed there on the bay myself. The complex mystery that is woven is on point in suspense and intrigue and kept me reading when I got frustrated. This is typical of O’Brien though, as she really knows how to weave a suspenseful storyline. I will definitely be back for more with book two.

Gumshoe And The Mysterious Mushrooms (Gumshoe Mysteries Book 1) By Laura Hawks
Gumshoe And the Mysterious Mushrooms is book one in the Gumshoe Mysteries by Laura Hawks. Ok so I struggled a little with this book, but it was by no fault of the author as this book has been written perfectly. While this is not for me the younger audience are absolutely going to love it, they will also love the pace this book moves at. The book is centred around a 15-year-old girl by the name of Mia Thomas. Not only does Mia’s teacher need to speak to her parents, her father gets arrested and she makes friends with a cat named Gumshoe. If that isn’t enough, she has the knack of talking to and understanding cats. Mia and Gumshoe join forces to try and work out what on earth is going on with her family. Will they find out what is behind her fathers arrest? And what lays before them while they try and work out the issues.

Jumping the Shark (Paranormal Talent Agency, #5) by Heather Silvio
5 Stars
I’ve been looking forward to this story for awhile, ever since I first read about Barbara Knollman I knew there was more to her than what was being portrayed.
This part of the series has now become my favorite so far and I want to make sure I mention that yes you could read these all as standalones but don’t..Seriously there is an ongoing story going on here and this one has me wanting the next one more than any of the others did.
I love how this author writes her stories and she has now sold me on a genre that I don’t normally choose. I’m not going to give away any of the details in this review, just read it. It moves quickly and I read it in one sitting and was seriously sad that I don’t have the next part in my hands yet.
Loved it and can not wait for more from not only this series but from this author.
The Fire God Tour by Michele Sims is the third book in the Moore Family Saga. This book could be read as a stand-alone however I would recommend reading them in order as they follow the same characters throughout. This series seems to get better with each book. The characters are always so interesting and engaging. Ari has to be one of my favourite characters so far in this series. It really felt like that was a brilliant character progression with him. Bella was the perfect accompaniment to him as well. The story was a great as the previous ones and it has been a fantastic series so far, I can’t wait to see what else is to come.

Proper Ink (Jaded Lily Book 2) By: Zeia Jameson 5 out of 5 stars
The story Proper Ink (Jaded Lily Book 2) by Zeia Jameson is a romance book that I loved reading. It pulled me in from the very beginning and I found myself lost in the story. I loved reading about Luca and Kerry. Luca is a man who knows tattoos. He has been building his reputation in his business. He doesn’t date. Then he meets Kerry. Kerry is an event planner and good at it. Although it may be hectic at times, she finds her job exhilarating and rewarding. Then she meets Luca. They agree not to label themselves; they are just hanging out. What happens when emotions begin to grow between them? What does the future hold for them? Will they take a chance on each other? Read this book to find out. This story has romantic scenes that make the temperature in the room rise. There are moments that are sad and others that are heartwarming. I grew to care about Luca and Kerry with each chapter that I read. I couldn’t help but want them to be happy. I enjoyed reading about the additional characters that are in the story. Some of them are familiar as they have been brought forward from the first book. Don’t miss out on a wonderfully written book that has unforgettable characters. I would highly recommend reading this story.

Irresistible Heroes is a superb Anthology of stories from some very talented, best-selling and award-winning authors. The stories are all so great- all quite individual to the author, but all are based on the same theme- which is “Irresistible Heroes”. We get to meet all kinds of heroes, and heroines- from cops, to fire fighters, Military personnel, Veterans, and Doctors- there’s a hero here that is bound to capture your attention, and a piece of your heart in the process. This Anthology is made up of eight wonderful stories that are all really well written, interesting, engaging, and entirely enjoyable. The stories are:
Two Heart Unlikely Heroes By: Tamara Ferguson
This was definitely one of my favourites of the collection. I love Ms. Ferguson’s books and have read pretty much everything she has written. This is the ninth book in the Two Hearts Wounded Warrior Romance Series- but you don’t need to have read the rest of the series to enjoy this story- as it reads wonderfully well as a standalone. But having said that, you, like me will probably develop a bit of an addiction to her stories and get the desire to explore the rest of her books. Something I have discovered now I have read a lot of her books is the way Ms. Ferguson has cleverly built a bigger picture, a cast of believable and endearing characters, and a supportive community in which to base her stories (for the most part). Everything comes to life, and through each book you begin to see more interconnected details, characters, and situations. This book is one of my favourites of her, bringing suspense, terrorists, danger and intrigue to Crystal Rock- as we follow Captain Samantha Caldwell and AFOSI Agent Captain Ben Nash on a bit of an adventure as the danger mounts and they try to piece everything together. As always, Ms. Ferguson doesn’t disappoint!
Simply Love By: Natalie Ann
This is the third book in the Love Collection series by Natalie Ann. It is such a sweet, and emotive story that had me rooting for the characters right from the get go. Gemma and Blake have both endured quite a lot of emotional pain in their lives. So, will they finally find the new beginning and second chance they have both searching for? This book is really worth the read to find out!
She’s Having a Baby By: Suzanne Jenkins
Oh Ms. Jenkins you’ve done it again! Another great read- but I highly recommend having a box of tissues on hand, as this story will give your emotions a bit of a battering. This is the first book in Ms. Jenkins new series, The Saints of San Diego. With friendship, family, duty, action, drama, love, loss, heartache, pain, joy, and new beginnings- this story may be short, but it packs quite a punch. We meet our main characters, but also a whole cast of wonderful secondary characters- a family of heroes who completely won me over. What a memorable way to start off a new series- and if this is any example, the rest of the series is set to be just as great! I can’t wait!
Johnny’s Girl By: Cynthia Cooke
This is the second book in the Deadly Secrets series by Cynthia Cooke. Full of intrigue, mystery, danger, suspense, action, drama, and more- this romantic suspense had me hooked right from the get-go. This is my first read by Ms. Cooke and I really didn’t know what to expect going in, but now I am happy to say that I will definitely be exploring more of Ms. Cooke’s work in the future. This is one of the main reasons I love reading anthologies, because it’s a chance to discover new authors to add to your TBR, and therefore more books to explore!!! WIN-WIN!! Well done!
Fire Me Up By: Alicia Street
We meet a hunky firefighter looking for a fresh start and a shy schoolteacher who shakes things up and brings a bit of a spark to his life. This was such a quick and easy read- a sweet story with a witty, captivating (second chance) romance…. which also has an emotional element to it too. Well worth the read!
Seal of Refuge By: Alyssa Bailey
Who doesn’t love a sexy Navy SEAL- so add a unlucky in love school teacher, a few surprises, a little bit of drama, and a wonderful romance- and this story really takes off. I didn’t expect to like this story as much as I did- they characters really won me over. A great story to start off Ms. Bailey’s Guardian’s of Refuge series. I for one, can’t wait for the next instalment!
Never Gone By: Stephanie Queen
This is the first book in the Zero to Hero Series by Stephanie Queen. Another 5 Star read in this exciting collection. I love Ms. Queen’s books and was really excited to see it was the start to a new series. Zero Go Team is made up of so many heroes, I can’t wait to follow all the character’s stories as they release. As expected from Ms. Queen, this story is really well written, sexy, spicy, intriguing, and original. The characters pulled me into the story, and I became completely invested in them and their story- devouring every word! I loved meeting Joe and Mae- and I can’t wait for more.
Handle With Care By: Patrice Wilton
Handle With Care is the second book in the Wounded Warrior Series by Patrice Wilson. Shane Dawson was a medic serving in Iraq when he is captured and tortured. He may be home from the war, but he left a piece of himself behind, trading it for a whole lot of pain and some difficult personal demons. Lauren Reynolds is a skilled ER doctor- a single mother with a young son who has ADHD. Things haven’t been easy since her husband died, but she and her son Josh make a pretty good team. Meeting Shane sets them both on a path they never expected. Taking a chance on love doesn’t come easy, or without some risk. What happens you ask? Well you really should read all the emotional details for yourself…. it’s definitely worth your time. A story of trauma, pain, addiction, struggles, emotion, friendship, trust, romance, spirit, redemption, and love.
As you can see, we meet a variety of charming heroes who will all inspire, captivate, and entertain you. They will entice you into the book and keep you there, avidly turning the pages to follow each as their story unfolds. So, if you are looking for a book that is full of heroes, romance, and stories that you can connect with- then this is definitely the anthology for you…… And hello, eight books for the price of one…. WINNING!!!!

My One Love (The Brothers of Camelot Book 2) By: Necie Navone 5 out of 5 stars
The story My One Love (The Brothers of Camelot Book 2) by Necie Navone is a romantic suspense book. It pulls you in from the very beginning and doesn’t let you go until you have finished the last page. There are times I was turning pages wanting to know what was going to happen next. Other times I could feel the romance and strong emotions between the two main characters. I loved reading about Lexy and Grayson. Lexy is a strong, independent, determined, and well-trained young woman. She has had a strong attraction to Grayson since she first saw him. Grayson also feels a strong attraction to Lexy. He has never found another that made him feel the way she did. They have not seen each other for years. What will happen when Lexy and Grayson find each other again? What does the future hold for them? Read this book to find out. This is a story that has some romantic moments that make the temperature in the room rise. I grew to care about Lexy and Grayson with each chapter that I read, and I wanted them to find happiness. I enjoyed reading about the bantering that goes back and forth between them. I also enjoyed reading about the additional characters and their interactions with Lexy and Grayson. This is a wonderful story with unforgettable characters. I would highly recommend reading it.

The Paranormal Talent Agency is a great series to read from the very first book. Heather Silvio is such a creative writer. She has kept this series fun and interesting. I love this series because it is simple and enjoyable. Jumping the Shark has a demon mayor of Las Vegas who teams up with Liam Collins an angel to catch a being who is fighting to take over the secret paranormal world. In the process of that battle, Barbara (demon mayor) is accused of a murder. Will a demon and angel work together to save their world? Can Barbara be cleared of the murder charged?

Blood Relations by Lonna Enox is the next book in the Sorrel Janes Mystery series. In my opinion the book does need to be read in order as it follows on from the first book. We are thrown straight back into Sorrel’s life, almost like the first book never ended. It was that easy to fall right back into her story. The writing draws you back into the fold with ease. The characters were just as interesting as in the first book and the storyline was intriguing and mysterious. Another very well written book.

Michael’s Heart by Lori Thomas Harrington is a romance for the ages. Colbie is an amazing character who goes through some life-changing events. Will she still hear the music in her heart? I was taken in by her story and didn’t want to put this down. I was really blown away by the amount of attention and detail the author put into this story and think many will enjoy and appreciate the work she has done. What has come out of it is a beautiful story which shows the challenges that can be thrown at us and how Colbie overcomes her fears and insecurities to find her happy. I look forward to reading more from this author in the future.

The Fisher Men X My Heart is the first book in The Fisher Men series by Rebel Nicks O’Dey. All I can say is if the rest of this series is anything as good as this book, then we are in for one hell of a ride. Can I also mention that this book has absolutely nothing to do with fishing. The Fisher Men are 4 adorable brothers with the surname Fisher. This book had me captured from the very beginning and didn’t let me go. 4 brothers: Morgan, Connor, Xander and Zack are there to protect their neighbour Samantha after a terrifying incident. They will do anything to protect her and have a pact never to date her. The all love her in their own way and she loves and needs them all in return BUT she is in love with one of them and now that she’s older and has graduated college she’s out to get her man. But which one has she chosen? I have to say that I adored Samantha and all 4 brothers. They were all so different and each had their own amazing qualities. You won’t be able to put this book down, firstly wanting to know which brother she has chosen and then, how can they have a relationship without breaking the Fisher Men rules. I loved that the author gave forewarning of a possible trigger in the story and also highlighted where the trigger was so that the reader could skip this part if they felt the need to do so. I can’t wait to see what this author has in store for this amazing family of brothers in the remaining books in the series.

TWO HEARTS UNDER FIRE (Two Hearts Wounded Warrior Romance Book 8) by Tamara Ferguson
5 out of 5 stars
While on the run, something crazy happens along the way. Can two wounded hearts under fire survive love?
Two Hearts under fire is the 8th book in the Two Hearts Wounded Warrior series written by Ms. Ferguson and I loved it. This book/series is awesome we have romance, intrigue, suspense, and we even get to see a few couples from past books. The characters are well written I just loved Russ and Claire.
Airman Russ Quinlan’s team were targeted and captured during transport in Iraq three years ago. When Russ discovers the only other survivor was left for dead after a brutal assault by insurgents, he realizes his covert mission had resulted in deadly consequences, and someone was trying to frame him.
He goes to enlist the help from AFOSI Agent Brand Reardon, and he finds Claire Ellis instead. A close friend of Brand’s fiancé Sarah, Claire’s staying at Brand’s Quantico apartment temporarily, hiding out from an abusive ex-husband who she’s sure is trying to kill her.
While in the lobby of Brands apartment an assassin attempts to gun them both down, Russ is able to avert the attack, turning the weapon on the killer.
But who was the intended target? Can they stop the assassin before they hit their intended target? Will they find out who is behind the framing of Russ?

Aiko is the first book in The Heartstrings Series written by Brooke May and it’s the first book that I have read by this author but it won’t be my last. The story line is very different which I like and the characters are well written. I loved the little quirks they have.
Aiko is back after a forty-year exile. She has been given another opportunity to help humanity. Alejandro Gomez is everything a woman could dream of in looks. His romantic abilities gyrate to the beat of mariachi. He is also Aiko’s new assignment.
Aiko is the worst cupid she is responsible for extermination of civilizations, plagues, and possibly the worst tragedy in human history may rest on her tiny shoulders.
Can Aiko help Alejandro find love or will she create another deadly consequence?
I simply enjoyed this story and I’m looking forward in reading the next book in this series?

The Fish That Climbed a Tree By Kevin Ansbro. This is my first read by this author and I found it to be a very interesting story. The author did a great job of writing something unique and engaging. I like the authors writing style it’s a good mix of humor and serious without feel too heavy. The characters are complex and different from other books. This book is a perfect example of don’t judge a book by the cover , mind you I don’t dislike the cover I just almost passed this one by but am trying to open my reading to things I’d normally pass. And I’m so glad I listened to my “don’t judge a book by the cover .” Talk because I definitely would have been missing out on a unique story by a new to me author. I’m giving this story a four star review and recommend it. Excited to see what the author offers readers next.

Scarlet Fever: A Crime Thriller by David Stever. I loved this book. Its similar to the old PI novels with an old grouchy PI and a beautiful lady. This is the story of Ex Cop Johnny Delarosa who is now a Private Detective and has pretty much seen and heard it all. One day a beautiful read headed mystery woman, Claire Dixon walks into his bar and gives him $20,000 as a retainer to find 2 million dollars that was due her Mom. Only thing is the money is missing Mob Money because her mother was married to a Mob guy. When Johnny starts looking for the money lots of shady characters come out and dealing with the Mob was not in his plans. He’s got to find this money because he’s so attracted to Claire and wants to prove himself to her. Will he find the money before he loses his life and will Claire share his attraction? Read Scarlet Fever to find out!

Yet again another fantastic 5 star read from the talented Ms McKinley! I’ve read quite a few books by this author now, so many that I don’t even bother to read the blurb anymore because I’m confident I will love whatever I read and as expected Shattered Melody was no exception. This may have been a novella but it definitely was not short on content! I was hooked from the very beginning especially as the action started straight away! I was on the edge of my seat from the very beginning and there were some almighty twists and turns! I fell in love with the characters Emma and Reese straight away. The author wrote about them so beautifully and in a way that I really felt a connection to them, I felt like I really knew everything about them. Although I loved Reese, it was Emma that was the character for me in this story; there really was just something about her that drew me to her straight away. A truly amazing read that I highly recommend! I cannot wait (as usual) to read more from Ms McKinley again in the future!
4 stars or 5 stars…I was thinking that the only way this story could have been better is if it had been longer but really then it would have seemed to drag on. This novella was short and to the point. Main character Emma is easy to love, to laugh and cry with. So definitely 5 stars.
The secondary characters of Danny, Reece, Linda and the friends from college are all an intricate part of Emma’s life. They are all suspicious in their dealings with Emma, leaving me guessing right up until the end. I had my doubts that a quick story could have a happy ending but my faith in Amy McKinley never wavered.
The story line was super easy to follow even with the flash backs. Those looks into the past helped explain Emma’s character and feelings so well.
Here’s hoping that these characters will have another adventure…soon.
The Fisher Men X My Heart by Rebel Nicks O’Dey is a lovely romance story and one I really enjoyed. The story kept me glued to the pages and wanting to know what was coming next. It is a bit of an emotional rollercoaster. There are just as many heartbreaking and heartwarming moments, one minute I was laughing out loud and the next breath I was in tears. There are some dark moments in the book but there is also light. Yes you will need the story for myself, kind of like unwrapping a christmas present. The bonds and friendships between the characters is one of love and caring and they are also very protective of one they consider their own.
The woman they love and whom they have helped shaped has returned but who will she pick?
I was hooked from the start and look forward to reading more from Rebel.
