Secure Again: A Chase Group Story
By: R.L. Dunn
5 out of 5 stars

The story Secure Again: A Chase Group Story by R.L. Dunn is a thrilling book that will leave you breathless. It had me turning pages and wondering what was going to happen next. There is mystery, action, danger, and romance. I loved reading about the characters of Dr. Elizabeth Reed and Martin “Farmer” Bailey. Elizabeth is an intelligent, strong, independent woman. She is a trauma surgeon who believes that every life is important and works hard to save each and every patient that she operates on. She also has become determined to find out the truth regarding the injuries that inmates from the local jail are being admitted for. Martin is the newly appointed CEO of Chase Security International when he is suddenly called home because his brother Austin has been shot. He finds out that Elizabeth is the one that is keeping Austin’s heart beating. Martin and Elizabeth have a history. A past in which there was heartbreak. The investigations that they have started are on a collision course. Those in Chase Security are trying to solve the mystery. Will they find out who the guilty ones are and bring them to justice? The danger keeps growing. Will all survive? Read this book to find out. This story had me constantly guessing about who was involved and I felt like I was trying to solve a puzzle. There are many characters that are introduced. There are many who help both Elizabeth and Martin. Then there are those with evil agendas that will do anything to make sure that their plans succeed and they are not caught. Will they be exposed? The book is fast paced and will have you on the edge of your seat. Highly recommended reading.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This author continues to enthrall me with every story she writes. Squall Line is another absolute treasure. Angst, passion, strong characters, gripping plot movement. War and Grace – two concepts and characters that are opposites in so many ways. I loved these characters and how masterfully McNamee wove these names into the character personality profiles. Just perfect.

This is a must read, whether you are a long standing follower of this author’s work or a newcomer. You won’t be disappointed.

Wild Bastard: A Dark Sparrow Novel by India Kells – Review by Moriah Venable

Wild BastardWild Bastard by India Kells
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Wild Bastard is the third novel in the Dark Sparrow series by India Kells. This is my second novel by this author.

Kai is on a mission to stopping his father, who is not a nice guy. Izzy is suppose to help down Kai’s father’s business but she has some secrets of her own.

This is a story of redemption, betrayal, and revenge, and a sprinkle of love and it’s a great read with amazing characters.

I love series that can be read has a standalone but also see characters from previous novels. I don’t want to give anything away.

For lovers of suspenseful romance and a read that leave you on the edge of your seat, I recommend this novel and series.

Drawing Bloodlines (The Princeton Allegiant Series Book 1) by Deborah Garland was the first book I have read by this author. I love vampire books and was excited to get to read this one. I found the book to be fun and exciting. It was a different take on vampires and I thought it was well done. I really enjoyed the characters and writing. At this point I would critique or say my thoughts on what could be better and I don’t really have any.I never saw that ending coming. I really wasn’t sure what I was suspecting but that was not it. So kudos Ms. Garland. Well done. 4 star rating.

Twisted Hearts Love Story number 4 is Impact by Autumn Sand. Even though this is book 4 it can be a stand alone book. I like reading Autumn Sand books because of her characters and the world around them. This book is told in Manny point of view which is a little different for me. I enjoyed reading how Manny saw what was going on in the world around him. As it states in the title it is a Love Story, Manny has seen the love of his life, Zoe but he does not want to let her know as she is in love with him as well. Manny has a past and he does not want to put Zoe in any danger. Will Manny’s past keep him alone or will Zoe become apart of his life?

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Drawing Bloodlines is a new series for Deborah Garland. This is my first book from this author and what a story to start with her. Her characters are complex and personal. Alexander is a vampire who is an strong male who happens to be a professor as well. He is a century old and still learning his role and gifts of a vampire. Elizabeth is a teacher as well, who just happens to have blood that Alexander can not resist. In this world, Alexander is to report Elizabeth’s knowledge of vampires and he decides to handle it himself. That is where I am going to leave the story so there are no spoilers. I really enjoyed this world because it is also being built throughout the book. I cannot wait to read the next book in the series.

Drawing Bloodlines (The Princeton Allegiant Series Book 1) by Deborah Garland
4 Stars

This is the first book that I have read from this author. I love vampire novels and Ms. Garland put some interesting twists in this story. Her vampires have some unique traits that I appreciated.

Elizabeth is a teacher trying to adjust to being a single mother. While at the doctor’s having a blood test done, she catches the doctor drinking her blood from a vial. Alexander is overwhelmed with the scent of her blood and drinks it. When he realizes that she saw him, he stalks her fully intending to wipe the incident from her mind.

The attraction between them is too strong and they enter into a relationship. It’s doomed from the start for vampires are not allowed to mate with humans. When a Commander chooses him to be her mate, Alexander desperately searches for a way out. He refuses to be stuck with someone he hates for all eternity. This leads to some interesting situations and an ending that you never see coming. What an ending! The author leaves enough open to be able to continue the series. I’m hoping the next book is about Loren and Julianna.

Impact (A Twisted Hearts Love Story book 4)Impact by Autumn Sand
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

“Loving me doesn’t mean you trust me. I want all of you, Manuel. I want your secrets, because you know I would keep them. I want your pain, because you know I will swallow it and make it my own. I want your happiness because that’s when I love you most. I want your fears because we are supposed to fight those demons together. I want your love because that is what keeps me alive. Don’t you understand? I want it all, or nothing.” — Zoe

This story is the fourth book in the Twisted Hearts series and it so fits right in with the theme. I have read the other three books in this series but it has been a few years. I did not have to refresh my memory with the other books as there was little reference to the characters from those books. Would I recommend reading them? Definitely!

Impact is a story that bounces around from present day to the past. The characters remain the same through-out the story as Manny is telling it through his perspective. We see how each character “impacts” the others, both negatively and positively. This is Manny’s story. A story that has kept me turning the pages and hoping that Autumn Sand will continue not only this series but continue writing anything, because she is just that good!

Squall Line is book The Inland Seas Series by Gwyn McNamee. I just adore the way this author weaves a story. Excitement at every turn of the page. Adventure every day. Dramatic adrenaline packed events at each chapter. Passion in every paragraph. Complex characters with intriguing personalities evident from the first words. Contentment in the whole, entire package.

War and Grace. They meet in extenuating circumstances, they endure each others company because they have to. They fall for one another because they have np choice. They are inevitably drawn to each other. They love with intensity, passion and desperation. Their love should not be. But it is. And I am so thankful they fell. A brilliant and captivating story that will enrapture you and bewitch you. 4 stars.

Squall Line by Gwyn McNamee is the first book in the Inland Seas series. This book is absolutely captivating and will sweep you off your feet!! This book for me was made entirely by the MC’s Grace and War. I couldn’t find a single thing about them that I didn’t like!! From the second I picked up the book I felt drawn to them. And even after j had finished reading I couldn’t stop thinking about them. I found myself going back and re-reading sections that had enticed me so much. Gwyn McNamee seriously knows how to write a good book. I loved that this one was different to other things I had read by her. It shows she has diversity as well as phenomenal writing skill. This is yet another 5* read from this author.

This is the second book I have read in this series, I enjoyed it just as much. This is a well written, creative story that left me turning pages and sitting on the edge of my seat a few times. Dr. Elizabeth Reed works in the ER. When a group of inmates start coming in with similar injuries, she starts to question the truth behind them. She is a strong character that is determined and is a no nonsense person. She made the story come to life for me, I highly recommend this book.

Temptation and Seductions written by L.M. Mountford is a great tease and I loved it. We get to read five short stories that keeps you wanting to read more about the couples in these stories. Ms. Mountford introduces us to these unique couples and what they have to do to become couples. These stories are so short you could read this book in one sitting.

These short stories contain descriptions of sexual content, Violence, BDSM, and Paranormal.
Now I have to go and read Just Friends Book 1 because this story I loved the most out of all five stories.

I just loved reading these short stories and can’t wait to read them in their true books.
I highly recommend this book…

I loved this book! This is a little different for this author but it works for her. This is a creative, well written, engaging story that I couldn’t put down until the end. The characters are connectable and brought the story to life for me. War finds himself on Grace’s ship but is put in a situation that he has to take Grace hostage. They are opposites but do they have more in common than they realize? Their chemistry is off the charts and I can’t wait to read more from them.. A must read!

Cold Bastard (A Dark Sparrow Novel Book 2) by India Kells – Review by Stefanie Carney

Cold Bastard (Dark Sparrow #2)Cold Bastard by India Kells
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I was completely unable to put this book down. This could be read as a standalone book but it includes people from other books in this series so I was looking forward to another romp in this crazy world. Every one of these books that I read grips me more than the previous one and I feel as though I may be utterly addicted to them. There is something about the fast paced adventure in these stories that keeps you flipping the pages and before you know it, the book is done, you are left bereft and looking for your next fix. This one tugged a little more on my heart strings than Wild Bastard, probably because I could see a little bit of myself in Zoe and I like that I could relate to her. As my addiction to India Kells and her writing grows, I will certainly be diving into the rest of this series with full enthusiasm.

Wild Bastard: A Dark Sparrow Novel by India Kells – Review by Sheri Schrader

Wild BastardWild Bastard by India Kells
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Wild Bastard by India Kells is the third book in A Dark Sparrow series. This tells the story of Kai and Isabel. Kai is trying to take down his father’s business and in the process runs into his past. Isabel after breaking his heart in the past has become a strong woman who has a life and secrets of her own. Will the two find their happily ever after?
Like the other books in the series, this can be read as a standalone. I have enjoyed not only this one but the others as well. Characters overlap and it is nice to get Kai’s story. I enjoyed the characters and wanted to see everything work out for them. The problems they encounter are crazy at times but seem to bring them closer and in a better understanding of one another. I enjoyed this book and look forward to others from this author.

Temptation and Seduction by L.M. Mountford – Review by Karyn Taylor

Temptation and SeductionTemptation and Seduction by L.M. Mountford
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Temptation and Seduction is a collection of 5 short sexy and erotic stories by L.M. Mountford. This collection has a bit of everything for the reader. There is BDSM, friends to lovers, a mafia princess, stepfather/stepdaughter, paranormal romance, sexual violence and a lot of lust.
The five stories are:
Just Once: A Friends To Lovers Romance
Valentine Misadventures
Playtime: Extra Credit
Stepdaddy’s Bad Girl
Sweet Temptations: The Babysitter.
My favourite of the 5 stories was Just Once. I am a sucker for a good friends to lovers romance. There is always so much angst and emotion. I loved that this short story is like a prequel as there is going to be more to this story. I really want to read more of Faye and Terry’s story.
These stories are short, to the point and many will leave you breathless. The author does not hold anything back. The sexual content can be quite explicit so this book is definitely for the 18+ audience. These stories are even raunchy enough to make the star of an adult entertainment website such as https://www.shemalehd.sex/ blush. There is also content in the stories that may act as a trigger to some readers but the author does give advance warning.
I thoroughly enjoyed this set of short stories and would be interested in reading more of this author’s work.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This author and this series has a way of hooking you and not letting you go. It’s so easy to get sucked into Autumn Sand’s books and never want to leave.

This is book 4 in the Twisted Hearts series and it’s Manny’s book. I love how it goes back and forth between now and then in Manny’s life. You really get to see how hard Manny’s life has been and how he’s pulled himself out of a living situation that could’ve caused him an early death. Manny’s love for his special girl is definitely not something I’ve read before but their journey to their HEA was one that will stick with me for a long time. She’s smart and independent and Manny will do anything to protect her!

This is one breath taking series that I highly recommend!

Drawing Bloodlines (The Princeton Allegiant Series Book 1) by Deborah Garland – Review by Erin Wolf

Drawing BloodlinesDrawing Bloodlines by Deborah Garland
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I give Drawing Bloodlines (The Princeton Allegiant Series Book 1) by Deborah Garland, 4 stars.

Elizabeth isn’t feeling too well after she’s had blood drawn at her doctor’s office. Feeling nauseated, she opens a door to what she thinks is the bathroom. Instead she finds the sexy doctor who just drew her blood and sees the unthinkable — he’s drinking her blood!!! Surely she is just hallucinating. This leads her learn that vampires are real. But can this sexy vampire fall for a woman like her? The answer appears to be yes, but the odds are against them that they will be able to make this relationship work. Can their feelings overcome all of the obstacles before them? What happens when danger comes knocking on their door?

This is a hot and steamy paranormal romance between a human and a vampire. To be honest, the beginning of the book shows the conflict with a human and a vampire being together. If you have read this genre before, you may have read similar. But the second half of this book is what really makes this story. There is plenty of action and things happening I can’t say I have read before. Without giving it away, the scientific side of things is spectacular. Alexander and Elizabeth are great characters — they both have their flaws and issues they bring into a relationship. This makes them relatable. The secondary characters are great too. We don’t see too much of them but my interest is piqued and I hope to read more about them in future books.

If you like your paranormal romance hot and steamy with some action thrown in, this book is for you.

*This is part of a series and to fully understand everyone and the events happening, must start with book 1*

We finally get Saints story, i was so excited. He’s intrigued me from the beginning of this series, and I’ve waited patiently to see if he got a book. And this did NOT disappoint.
Saint is a bouncer and part of the security team for the Hawke family and they’re places of business. I knew he had a past that would explain how he got to where he is now, but it wasn’t exactly what I expected!
Caroline turns into a blabbering idiot when Saint is around so she doesn’t think he’s ever even noticed her.
Can one night change the course of her plan?

This series just gets better and better and that ending?! Did not see that coming at all.

Squall Line (The Inland Seas Series Book One) by Gwyn McNamee

I have read every book by this author, so far, and here’s a new series like nothing i’ve read before. When I think of pirates, its dirty old men who don’t know what a bath is, or of course the famous movie series. But these pirates are very different.
Warwick has a job to do to repay debts, never having to deal with more than he or his crew can handle, he doesn’t expect a fiery redhead to stand in his way.
She makes him break the rules, and surprises him at every turn.
I was not expecting how this story went or how it ended. I need the rest of this series like yesterday, i want to know more of this crew.
Great read, kept me hooked from beginning to end.

Rage (The Marcy Series, #1)Rage by Linda Burson
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I have read this series out of order but even so I have thoroughly enjoyed the books that I have read however it was really nice to see where the story of Marcy started! Again as with the other books I have read by Ms Burson it was full of action and kept my interest from beginning to end. It was really interesting to see how the author has improved over the books, not that this one was bad, far from it, but you could see how her writing had moved on with each story.
I really like Marcy she is such a great character to read about. She is quite a complex character that you really do have to get to know and understand.
As I expected there were some great twists and turns and even though I have read later books in the series there were still some things that surprised me!!
I will definitely be looking forward to reading more from this author again in the future.

Drawing Bloodlines was a fantastic 5 star read! I was completely hooked from beginning to end. This isn’t the first book that I have read by this author, I absolutely loved her Darling cove series so when I saw that she has a new series coming out that was different I was really excited to start it and I was not disappointed at all! I can already tell that this is going to be a fantastic series.
The characters in the story were amazing to read about! Alex was a hot vampire who I LOVED!! I really liked that he wasn’t what I expected, I kind of imagined him to be the normal vampire in a paranormal romance but he wasn’t so it was a pleasant surprise! Elizabeth was great too! I loved the two of them together; they had an amazing and intense chemistry!
I loved the storyline and all of the twists and turns! This is definitely a story that I would highly recommend! I am really excited to read the next book in this series!!!

Demon's Angel: Satan's Devils MC (Colorado Chapter) #2Demon’s Angel: Satan’s Devils MC (Colorado Chapter) #2 by Manda Mellett
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Demon’s Angel is the second book in the Satan’s Devils: Colorado Chapter series. It can be read as a standalone, however characters and events from other books in the Satan’s Devils series are mentioned.

I always love reading books by this author. The stories are engaging and get you sucked in right away. The characters face real world issues in a fictional setting. You should know that this particular story deals with women’s issues that may be a trigger for some readers. Something I thought was clever about this book is the way the title takes on a double meaning once you get into the story a bit.

One thing this story brings up is how quick people are to make judgments about the actions of a mother without having all of the facts. Moms have a lot of pressure on them just for the simple fact they are moms, it is so much harder when other people make judgments about their decisions without having all of the information.

There was one line in this book that really stood out to me: “Deep down though, I know I’ll make a better mother if I have something else to do than being a fulltime mom.” I like that this is written into the story to acknowledge that not all women are cut out to be, nor have the desire to be, a full-time mother. Some women need a job or a project in addition to being a mother, and that’s ok.

While Demon’s Angel isn’t one of my all-time favorites of the Satan’s Devils books, it is no less entertaining and is certainly full of adventure and action packed!

Drawing BloodlinesDrawing Bloodlines by Deborah Garland

This was in my opinion more of a light read. It doesn’t get to heavy. He is a vampire from a different time so he is a gentleman. She is more of an easy going person, not very confrontational more of a go with the flow person. He does touch upon his past and everything he didn’t like and what he misses. You expect what he will do because he never really wanted to be a vampire. There is drama when he needs to flow laws, and he was forced to mate with someone he absolutely hated. I enjoyed the downfall of the story, but it did leave me wanting to know what happened to the crazy vampire. I was left feeling like there is more to the story and more on the other characters. It is a standalone so no cliffhangers and it is also a hea.

Oh my goodness!!! I didn’t think this would have been that good since it was going to be a lot of short stories. On the contrary they are short but to the point. As in; it becomes steamy real quickly. I enjoyed that they were contemporary. There is some cheating so if you are highly against it this isn’t for you. If you are hoping to read something to get you in the mood, and don’t about cheating then this is for you. I was left on the edge wanting to continue reading some stories because I got hooked on the story as well. If I can give this book 4.5 stars I would. I’m going with 4 because I wanted more of the steamy stories, of the falling for the forbidden apple “person”. I even want to go search for some authors and get some of their other work. Enjoy feeling the sexual frustration!
