I give MOVIE STAR (21st Century Courtesan Book 2) by Pamela Dumond, 4 stars. This review may contain spoilers from book 1.
Evie is a courtesan with high dollar clients. She is empathic and uses these powers to heal broken men. Her newest client is Jake, a very popular movie star. But he is the toughest client she has had. It is so hard for her to find the root of the problem. Plus he keeps running away, making it almost impossible to do her task. Can she get to the bottom of it and heal this broken man? At what cost to her?
This is a wonderful book. Jake is a great man, but hurting so much. Evie just wants to make this great man better. I have liked Evie from the very beginning and this book shows her growing into who she wants to be. But she still has so many struggles, both from the past and the present. There is so much more going on than just Evie healing Jake. I could not put the book down and cannot wait to read the next one. I actually liked this book better than the first one.
This book can be read as a stand alone, but I do recommend reading book one to get the complete story.

Salvation: An Ash Park Prequel Novella by Meghan O’Flynn shows us just where the Ash Park series began. When Edward joined the military, he knew what he wanted and needed to calm the things around him and then one night his life comes crashing down when he finds his love, his life Heather killed. Slowly things don’t make sense about her murder and when another body is found he then knows that Heathers murder was not an isolated attack. Edward now must take decide if he ruins his career to bring justice to the one he loved and along the way finds he’s not the only one who wants justice for these killings.
This Novella was really a way to get into Edward more, and he is a character that has stayed with me since reading the Ash Park series. Being able to read what drove him and his need for justice kept me still wanting more and more. Meghan O’FLynn truly is an amazing story teller, attention to detail, and her words that drag you right into story and don’t let you go. She kept me guessing to the very end and again we learn that in Ash Park not everyone is innocent!!! Five stars again!!!

Bound is the second book in the Torzial Affair series. You should read the previous book first to get the full picture. It ends in a cliffhanger.
Where the previous book focuses more on the budding relationship between Jenny and Brian, this book focuses on the danger elements surrounding Jenny. I found this story very…busy, I guess is the best way to describe it. There is a lot going on and at times it seems like a little too much. I kept up with the story line, but it seems like there was a bunch of action crammed into a small time frame.
I also found Brian to be a bit of a jerk in this story. He talks about trust, but the way he handles some of the stuff with Jenny, well, he’s expecting a lot at certain points in the story. But it is fiction so…
Bound has plenty of action and steamy scenes. A good few hours of entertainment.

The Monster’s Lover, Book One in The Fenris Series by Samantha MacLeod

The Monster’s Lover by Samantha Macleod features the Fenris wolf from Norse mythology. He is one of the main characters as well as his lover Sol. We meet Sol at the start of the novel when she is basically sold to King Nokkyn to make up for her family’s failure to meet their quota. She is given until the reading before she will be added to the Kings harem. I hated that she would have to face this and how her mother began to coach her on things to do to keep the King happy. She meets Fenris in human form after she is attacked by a group of men from town and embraces the short amount of freedom she has left. The passion between Fenris and Sol was heartwarming and exciting. Sol seemed to come out of her shell with him and I fell in love with the two characters. I can’t wait to continue to follow their story. This was such a quick and easy read! I loved it.

Not So Broken ( Love Grows Series Book 1) by Renee Regent. This is the story of Gibson and Sacha. Gibson is the only heir tot he Colebank Fortune but once he loses his wife and daughter and in tragic accident he gives up on life. He moves to a very small town in Georgia and works as a handyman. His life is quiet, simple and lonely but he doesn’t think he deserves happiness after letting his wife and daughter down. Sacha is a up and coming businesswoman who is well on her way to a promotion at her job as a liquor sales person. She is beautiful, sassy and independent but after a horrible divorces doesn’t believe she will ever have the family she so wants. One night she is in a the small town of Tilly Georgia and she meets Gibson. Sparks fly but will they let their guard down enough to see where this might take them or will they let their past destroy their futures. This book is a super quick read and I can’t wait to read the other books in the series.

Hard As Steel is the 4th instalment in the awesome Surviving series by Virginia Wine. Each book can be read as a stand-alone. As characters from previous books make an appearance in subsequent books and the fact that this series is so damn good, I would recommend that you read all the books in the series, and in order, to get the most enjoyment from the series. In Hard As Steel we get the story of ex-army, now member of PI Securities Steel Archer and FBI agent Nichole Lancaster. We are introduced to these 2 characters in a previous book and you always knew that if they got their own book it would be hot and fiery, and by God it certainly lived up to my expectations. As well as the fiery budding romance between the 2, this book has so much going on. There is a very detailed and intricate plot that will keep you gripped. This book pretty much has it all, it’s a hard hitting story with a great deal of intrigue and suspense and you won’t want to put it down. In this book we are introduced to Grace, a beautiful young woman with a harrowing story to tell. The next, and final, book in this series will concentrate more on Grace’s story and I can’t wait to read it.

Snatching Dianna by Seelie Kay a four-star read you will want to snatch. This is the first novel in the Feisty Lawyers series and I for one can’t wait for the next one. This was a quick and fast paced story that will suck you in and enthral you, I only gave it four stars as there was a couple of bits that I couldn’t get, and I could have read more pages. Janet MacLaclan and Kade Mathews are a great couple and they just have this charisma about them you would help them like the others do. There is a dark story to this, but its done well and shows promise for a great series.

Rush begins with me being drawn in immediately. Aspen literally falls at Finn’s feet. Gosh, even their names are hawt!! The story has that zing, already promising to dazzle the reader. Aspen sells dog food and Finn designs video games. They meet at the apartment complex where they both live. Aspen hasn’t been in San Francisco long, so Finn shows her around a bit. They are getting to know one another, with both of them really liking what they see, so far. Their patience wears thin when their hunger for each other increases. Aspen cannot resist the allure of Finn. Emotions are high, the wrong conclusions are reached. Aspen feels Finn judged her unfairly and incorrectly, and she let him know that, in no uncertain terms. Finn would give anything for another shot, and even though a tiny little voice tells her to turn away and not look back, she is unable to ignore the heat between them, and is just too attracted to Finn to let him go without a fight. Finn seems like your typical gamer dude, but holy man, it is a totally different story in the bedroom. He knows what he wants and he knows how to please a woman. He is certainly no alpha male, but he is definately not a spineless wimp, either. He seems to be pretty much everything Aspen wants in a man. She yearns for the chance to spend time with Finn, when he is not jumping to conclusions,that is. Finn has things that he has been hiding, and when Aspen finds out, she is hurt that she was the last to know. Aspen has never hidden anything from Finn, preferring the honest approach, to the one of omitting information from the person they are trying to build something with. The dynamic between them is a complex one. I always got the feeling that Finn was never totally comfortable with Aspen. Maybe because of all the things he keeps close to his chest was taking it’s toll. It was difficult to get a handle on Finn, whereas Aspen was like an open book. While I love a good mystery, and the challenge of finding out how someone ticks, it is refreshing to read about a character that you know, straight up, how they work, taking the guesswork out and allowing you just to immerse yourself into their fantasy and dream away. Rush is Book #1 in the Boys of RDA series, and my first time reading this author’s work. The book was highly enjoyable, with a free flowing storyline, as well as characters that provided a great escape into their world. Although parts were sometimes predictable, the book was still captivating and difficult to put down. A thrill to read and I am looking forward to LAg, Book #2 in the Boys of RDA series.

The story Black Bullet (The Order of the Senary) by L.D. Rose is a paranormal/fantasy romance book. This is a story that has action, danger, and romance. There are times when I was on the edge of my seat and turning pages to find out what would happen next. I enjoyed reading about the characters of Jonathan Kerr and Lawan Knight. Lawan is someone who has issues with trust. Jonathan’s struggles internally. They have their struggles and the inner demons that they must face. There is an attraction between Jonathan and Lawan. What does the future hold for them? An old nemesis has returned to the city. Will they be defeated? Read this book to find out. With all they have gone through and are still threatened with I couldn’t help but care about what happens to Jonathan and Lawan. They deserve to find happiness. I also enjoyed reading about many of the additional characters in the story. I like the easy way that they banter and interact with each other as well as Jonathan and Lawan. You can feel a sense of friendship. There are also those who are only out for themselves and have their own agenda. This story has romantic and intense dialogue. It had me hooked from the beginning and didn’t let me go until I had read the final page. Don’t miss out on a wonderful story that has some amazing characters. I would highly recommend reading it.

Seraphina’s Awakening (The Seraphina Series Book 1) By Sheena Hutchinson
This book is different than any other I have read and I enjoyed the unexpected twist and turns. The author did a good job taking me on the journey with Sera while she discovers her powers and as we get drawn into the battle between good and evil. I found that the author did a good job weaving a wonderful story full of detailed fun entertainment that I thoroughly enjoyed. I recommend this book and I can’t wait to find out what’s in store for us in the next one.

Eight Steps: A friends to lovers romance by Taylor Sullivan was a fun book to read. The easy going Elliot and the not as easy going Fe are best friends and roommates and everything was great until one night and them having too much to drink. I know I have had some nights that ended was too much drinking and too many regrets.
I loved the sweetness of Elliot and how much of a Southern gentleman he is, but what would you expect from a man from Texas. He takes such good care of Fe, my husband is good but not as good as Elliot is with his best friend.
Fe really wants to help him find happiness and is willing to do just about anything to help him find it including help him with someone else.
Very cute story and I look forward to reading more books by this author.

I highly recommend reading the first Book in this series if you haven’t already as you will get a sense of what is going on. I absolutely loved this book and couldn’t put it down until I finished it. Hard as Steel was a great 5 star read and book four in the Surviving Series.
I was pulled in right from the beginning, my heart when out to the poor girl that Steel finds. He calls in Nick to help. They call the mystery girl Grace for now until they can find out who she is. The things this poor girl endured just breaks your heart.
What story could be told from my injuries, in some twisted way the cuts and bruises may indeed be my salvation.
Steel works for PI Securities and is ex military. Nichole (Nick) is an FBI agent. Nick and Steel work together to try and find out where Grace came from and who was behind all of the abuse. Steel and Nick also have quite the attraction between them. They are both really strong characters but when they finally give into their attraction we get some very hot and steamy moments.
Will Steel and Nick find out who hurt Grace?
There is romance, suspense and so much more. Be prepared for some twists and turns, I was on the edge of my seat trying to figure out what was going on. Virginia Wine does a great job with her writing, you feel everything that the characters are going through and I loved it. All of the secondary characters added a great element to the story. Caught in Make-Believe by Sharleen Scott is book three of The Caught Series. This book is a romantic suspense. There is just enough mystery and suspense to keep you on the edge of your seat to find out how the story will play out until the end of the book. I suggest reading books one and two as there are some previous characters mentioned.
Samantha has been unlucky in love. She’s just about decided to give up on relationships all together. Jace’s job as an investigative journalist hasn’t been easy. Especially after the threats he’s received. Back in town after a lengthy disappearance, she meets Samantha and instantly knows he’s attracted to her. Samantha knows it’s unlikely that Jace will stay long term but despite that knowledge and the danger Jace’s presence can bring, their attraction leads to a relationship. What will the future hold for Jace and Samantha??
I really enjoyed this book. The suspense kept me riveted and I couldn’t wait to finish the book just to find out what would happen!

I loved reading this book and I couldn’t wait to get my hands on it after reading the first one. I was overjoyed that I loved it as much as the first one if not more. It is my advice that you read the first one before this one for a better experience and understanding of what’s going on. I fell in love with Evie’s character from the beginning and I have became so invested in her story. Her new client Jake is also a wonderful character and as I was reading all I wanted was for Evie to be able to help him and for him to find happiness. There is also suspense, steamy moments and so much more in this wonderful read that the author has so expertly written. I highly recommend this book!! This is a must read!!

This is book two in the story of Jenny and Brian. You pick up where book one ended. Jenny’s life is spiraling out of control even more. I couldn’t stand the way that they lacked communication. People are so afraid that they won’t like what some one says so they never ask. So many misunderstandings cold have been avoided if they opened their mouths. Jenny jumped to conclusions too fast and never gave Brian a chance to explain. I don’t know if I would like someone being completely in control of me. It sounds nice reading about it but would I like it in my life. The author isn’t disappointing in this second book. I am enjoying this 2series better than the first.

Im so glad we get Jenny’s story, and while it contains some triggers for some, it was done in a way that was needed to show the story of Jenny as a whole. I really enjoy this authors style and between this series and the Prestian Series I am now hooked! I couldn’t put this down and I cant wait to read more!

This series literally gets better with each book! Hard as Steel follows Steel and Nick as they navigate a case and their budding attraction for each other. Grace is a young girl that has managed to escape from horrors but has no memory of what happened to her. Running into Steel was a stroke of luck on her part as him and his partner Flynn stop at nothing to help her. This book has the drama and the action that seem to define Viriginia Wine’s books. She has quickly become a favorite author of mine.

Stepping It Up (The Liberty Lawrence Series #2) by Bea Stevens was a fun light hearted read that was both entertaining and a little bit crazy.
Picking up close to where the last book left off, we follow Libby once again on her mischievous adventures and her quirky way of navigating life. This time she’s at a new job, trying to workout a new relationship and trying not to get caught in anything that might get her caught up into something messy like in the first book.
Like the first book, the writing is solid, the flow smooth and the tone matched the atmosphere. I found that Libby had more character development in this book, and I actually enjoyed her character even more. Sure there are some predictable moments, but nothing that made me like this book less. As this is book two I do suggest reading the first book, as there is needed background and character intros that will help guide you in this read.
Overall I had a time reading this book, it was a perfect weekend read that left me all happy and fuzzy on the inside. So please take my high recommendation and my stamp of approval, that you will fall in love with this quirky rom-com.

Pamela DuMond’s Movie Star is the second book in the 21st Century Courtesan series. This new adult/college romance that has been set as a stage for an epic series. Evie is unforgettable. She is such a strong and capable character as more and more of her character is unearthed through the series. Jake’s character was well written, you could feel the broken edges to him. Along with the sequences with Jake and Evie, there is a hint of mystery woven into the story that adds an additional flare to it. Pamela DuMond has a remarkable writing talent that shines in this novel, to such an extent that I look forward to reading the subsequent books within the series.

Seelie Kay’s Infamy is the second book in the Feisty Lawyers series. This was a thrilling and suspenseful read. Seelie Kay .holds onto their style of not waiting to pull the reader into the story, by instantly starting with the right elements to draw attention to not only the characters, but also the environment. This story was highly detailed providing vivid scenery to the story. The story was fast paced, but not rushed following the first book a year later. Seelie Kay is talented in providing a high octane story what drives intrigue, mystery and more.

5 Star Salvation: An Ash Park Prequel Novella by Meghan O’Flynn is a wonderfully written suspenseful book that I couldn’t put down once I started reading. I absolutely loved The Ash Park Series and was very excited about this Prequel. This is the where Edward joins The Ash Park police department, where he gets called out on a call that will change his life forever. This book is no different than the series,pulls you in and you lose all concept of time and everything else. There are some twists and turns that had me on the edge of my seat trying to figure out what happens next. Edward has a choice to make, find the murderer who took the love of his life away or just back down off the case.What will he do? This is a definite must read.i can’t wait to read more from this Author.

A Suitable Affair (The Macalisters Book 1) by Erica Taylor is an historical romance and an enticing read. I usually don’t like historical romances but I did enjoy this one. Erica’s attention to detail and writing and her multi layered characters and plot made for an interesting read that kept me on my toes. This story is full of mystery and intrigue, romance and secrets and the teasing and witty banter between the main characters had me laughing out loud.
Susanna is a breath of fresh air and definitely a forward thinker who likes to push the boundaries. The strict social rules of her time only apply when she says so. She is sassy and sweet and witty and sarcastic and has found one person who can keep her from a life of boredom. Now she finds herself caught up in intrigue that could end in the worst of ways.
Ian is looking to find the person who stole his sister. The one who is responsible for so much heartache. When he comes face to face with one mysterious woman, he finds himself thinking of things he has no place thinking about. One woman that can help take his pain away but the one thing he should not have and needs to push away only he can not stay away no matter the cost.
I enjoyed Erica’s story telling and look forward to reading more from her.

This is a fast moving suspense that is full of realistic and current content. From the very first line to the Epilogue, I was held captive by this story.
Characters and story line are quickly developed, the plot moves along and leaves nothing off the table. Details are supplied in “conversational ways” instead or long sentences.
There is nothing that I would change about this book.

I loved Steel Archer! He’s one of those male characters that will do anything and everything for those he loves! Then we have Nicole Lancaster who is an FBI agent and used to men in the world of her work. The chemistry is intense between these two and the story is UN FREAKING BELIEVABLE!!!
This story is definitely dark and has its twists and turns. I love a book that keeps you guessing. These two had their work cut out for them but they’re story was phenomenal! Everyone needs this series!

Bound (The Torzial Affair Book 2) by Via Mari is amazing. This incredible series just gets better and better. Via has woven a superb web of betrayal and deceit that has more twists and turns than a road in the mountains. This complex and multifaceted and multidimensional story had me spellbound as I turned page after page not knowing where the story would take me. My heart was often in my throat as I followed along with these wonderful characters that have found their way into my heart and soul. It is one sexy, steamy and erotic read that will leave you in need of a cold shower.
Jenny is caught up in something she has no idea about but the repercussions are a matter of life and death, not only to herself but all those around her and the evidence just seems to pile up and up. There is only one person she can trust but it seems even that may be displaced.
Brian is trying to do everything he can to help the woman who has come to mean so much to him. It seems that for every step forward they end up taking several back. Who is behind this trouble and who can he trust? Will he walk away from the one who needs him the most when he is confronted evidence that implicate the worst?
Via is an author not to be missed. I am so excited to read the next book in this brilliant series.

This new paranormal, romance novel is a serious one click book. The character of Jonathan Kerr, I fell into instalust with. I mean, seriously what is not to love about a hot, sexy vampire. Jonathan was bitten and died. He woke as a monster. Jon is no ordinary vampire. A trained marine, a killer by profession and now by necessity, He is trying to come to terms with what he has become.
Lawan is an interesting character. She seems both cold and hot with her emotion. She is strong, and any book with a strong female character, I am going to love instantly. Lawan is hunted by her past, both figuratively and literally. She is the last of her kind. The last of the female hybrid. All of the rest were killed in the facility when she left.
She meets up with Jon and they two of them clash. And in a big way, as in she beats him to a bloody pulp.
This author is masterful. I am not sure how many words I could use to express the artistry of the world L.D Rose created. This book is a standalone, but I would highly recommend you read the other book as it gives you a great introduction into the world of the Senary. This book has all the emotions. Passion, Lust, Fear. This Paranormal Novel will convert even the hardest of book readers. You will want to give this one a read!

Shattered ( The Torzial Affair) by Via Mari. Via Mari has become one of my very favorite authors! I’ve got to the point if I see her name on a book I don’t even read the description because I know I will love it. This is the story of Jenny Torzial a beautiful, successful, owner of a very dominant Consulting Company. She look so put together and classy on the outside you would hardly know that on the inside she is an emotional mess all due to the man who was to be her husband. He destroyed every once of trust,love and security she had. Enter Brian Carrington a cocky heir to the Carrington Steel Empire. He thinks all woman want from him are his money so he is not into relationships at all just one night stands until he meets Jenny at their best friends wedding. There is immediate sexual chemistry but Jenny doesn’t know if she can every get past the scars of her past to move forward and trust anyone. Will they become more than just business partners and turn into a super power couple or will their past hurts keep them from knowing love. Read Shattered to find out.

A great read about obligations. Sol is a young woman from a poor family who is forced to be sold off to King Nokkyn at harvest so they don’t starve. But when she meets a ethereal beauty of a man in the forest, she can’t help but loose herself. But as time begins to run out, will she choose love over duty? A great read. Well developed plot with twists and turns that I just couldn’t put down. Well developed characters like Sol trying to keep going deposited it all or Fenris as strong and sure but with a kind nature underneath. A great villian in the cold Nokkyn that will send shivers up your spine. I loved the visual detail throughout the novel like in the sense of nature with the ironwood with its oaks and the rivers and birds and moss and mushrooms to give it the homely feel with its sounds and smells so vivid as if you were actually there. Or the extreme sense of wealth in the big black horse and carriage of Nokkyn against the colourful fields of apples and corn and purple oaks beautifully written. I aso loved the use of mythology throughout the novel true to its origins with Fenris and Tyr and demons of Muspell which were well written and given the live and respect they deserve as a lovely touch. Overall, a great read and I would give it five stars
