Never Let Me Fall by Abbie Roads is an excellent book. The whole Fatal Dreams series is an excellent group of books that you will like to read. This book can be a standalone story but would be beneficial to read the other stories. The tone of the story is a suspense, action, mystery which allows the story to move along more quickly. I was nail biting through parts of the story and wanting to close my eyes at other parts (which is hard to do when you are reading the story). This story is about Thomas and Helena. This is an interesting story as Thomas can only see in black and white, but Thomas can see the human soul (in my opinion an awesome gift). Helena has been in prison for the last 10 years being convicted of murdering her boyfriend. Now Helena has said from the beginning that she was innocent of that crime. Now the paths of Helena and Thomas have been cross and there will be answers to the questions, but will they be able to trust each other is another question that needs to be answered. Will their relationship keep going strong or will fail? You will find that answer when you read this book.

Healing Danger: A Fortis Security Novel Book 1 (Fortis Security Series)
HEALING DANGER is the first book in the Fortis Security Series and because I am reading this series out of order, it was cool to go back to the beginning.
This is a suspense story with friendship, murder, mayhem, romance, secondary characters who are totally alpha (I’m glad they get stories in the future) and a few other things thrown in. There are twists and turns throughout and there is an element which I really wasn’t expecting even though I’ve read other books in the series.
It took me a little bit to get “into” the story but because I have enjoyed the author’s writing in the past, I was able to move ahead and get to a place of comfort in the book.

Caught in Make-Believe is the third book in The Caught Series by Sharleen Scott. This is my first read from Ms. Scott, and even though this book could be read as a standalone, there were characters and references to past events, that I felt I should have known about. It didn’t detract from this story, but it did pique my curiosity to read the other books and find out what happens in them, too. This is a romantic suspense, with mystery, suspense, second chances, some action, drama, and so much more. The story is quite intriguing, and I found myself throwing around various scenarios in my mind, trying to put all the pieces together and work out what was going on. The mystery and suspense were done really well done and kept the momentum of the story going. Samantha Dylan is the manager at “Sweet Stuff” bakery, she is an outgoing, likeable, and optimistic person who hasn’t had much luck in the relationship department, having just broken up with her cheating fiancé (ex). At 35 she feels her biological clock ticking and has begun to worry that she may never get her chance to experience motherhood, especially since she wasn’t getting any younger. When a grumpy, prickly man enters the bakery for a cup of coffee and something to eat, little did she know just how much her world would be turned upside down. Jace Colton is a writer, a former investigative reporter who has just made his way ‘home’ after 5 long years travelling. He is haunted by a tragedy that forced him to flee- he had delved too deeply into a story and got too close to some very dangerous information which painted a target on his back. He’s been living off the grid, always on the move, never staying anywhere for any length of time- with only his dog Martin for company. But now he’s been drawn home- because he thinks he has what he needs to finally lay his past to rest, once and for all.
“He accelerated with timidity, not wanting to do this, but knowing he must. The past required a showdown. Pistols or swords at dawn.”
The last thing he expected was to meet someone who made him feel ‘alive’ again for the first time in 5 years. But, with a target on his back, anyone who associated with him could also be in danger. What happens when the danger he’s been running from finally catches up with him? This was a very interesting story that is wonderfully detailed and descriptive. It’s told from several points of view which gives the reader a real immersive reading experience. The tension, suspense and drama were crafted really well and kept me flipping the pages to keep up with what was happening and piecing the puzzle together. I’m off to explore the other two books now!

I do believe that I am still rolling with laughter from this book. Just sitting here reminiscing my time with the characters as I type this review has me laughing all over again. I loved this rom-com from Amabel Daniels. I have read books from her before, but I have to say this is a strong point for her!
From the get-go things are off to a funny start for Lexi Regan. After a viral and not so pretty breakup she finds herself in another awkward situation when she ends up in an art class with her bestie. She thought it was supposed to be a sip wine and paint a pic by number type thing. She had no idea it was a live model in a stuffy art room situation. She really didn’t expect it to be a handsome guy that had eyes for her either. The big twist comes when the two are thrust together for a weekend at her cousins wedding. Just imagine all the shenanigans! Strap in for one hilarious story.

I read Elegantly Denim: An Elegant Prelude (Elegant Series- Prequel) before reading the series and perhaps I should have read it AFTER I read the series. I will come back and update this review after I read the full series.
This prelude was a bit confusing. There are many characters introduced, but there is no explanation why everyone is running around all willy nilly. I THINK I understand where the author was going with some of the characters, I assume they are introduced in depth in the series, but it was just confusing as to where they went. There was a lot of detail about them and then *poof* nothing. It has definitely peeked my interest though and I will be checking out the series.
I can’t tell if the protagonist is a good guy or a bad guy. What are his motivations? What’s with his whining brother? What’s with that random gal calling out of the blue? Why is his mother the way she is? I have questions…

Wow! I have not read anything from Megan Mitcham before, and I am kind of kicking myself for it now. Big time! I loved this novel, and for so many different reasons. This happens to be very good, because I will mostly be rambling about them, for the better part of this review. I would hate to spoil any of this fantastic multi-layer mystery and suspense novel that what I could say about its storyline is quite limited.
I think I must start with the gorgeous cover. I was drawn in right away with its striking appearance. I honestly didn’t even read the blurb, and jumped right into the novel, no questions asked. I was ready for an adventure.
This story promises to keep you enthralled every single second. I was constantly wondering WHO. Which really not only made the title very fitting, but was a really great reading experience. I love a great suspenseful story that will keep me engaged and going, “I didn’t see that coming.” out loud to myself several times throughout. I very much so caught myself doing this.
I absolutely adored that a woman, Larkin Ashford, was a main character and the billionaire. More power to strong women represented. She is one kicka** character and I loved her. She knew what she wanted and she took it. No games. Sometimes it is nice to just get a no mess story. This had the hint of romance but it was a focus and I liked that. It was a balance to the suspense rather than a focus. Mostly we see that Larkin is a strong person and I really loved that.
I would have to say finally, that I am most excited that this is just book one is a series. That means there is more to come! Bonus to being late to the game of discovering Megan Mitcham is while I am waiting I can go check out her other works! Thanks for a great read Ms. Mitcham!
Across From You is a hilarious romantic comedy from Amabel Daniels. This book had me laughing from the very first page all the way to the last. Amabel Daniels is a new author to me and after reading this book, I’ll be sure to read more of her work. Manager of a stuffed toy store, Lexi Regan has sworn off men having just been dumped very publicly on Facebook. Her very public dumping has gone viral and she’s feeling humiliated. Add to this her bridezilla cousin Bev’s upcoming wedding, she’s having a rubbish time. Having been dragged by her friend to an art class, she can’t stop fantasizing about the nude male model they had to draw. Jack O’Connell, work partner of Bev, had lost a bet at Bev’s fiance’s stag night and as a result had to do a stint as a nude model at an art class. While modelling he couldn’t keep his eye off the gorgeous brunette who was drawing him. It’s a small world as Lexi and Jack find out as he’s the groomsman who is partnering bridesmaid Lexi at the wedding. This is a story that proves that first impressions can often be very far from the truth. We find this out in a hilarious way as Jack and Lexi stumble from one mishap to another. I loved both of these characters. Lexi is hilarious. You can’t help but be intrigued as to what is going to come out of her mouth next. Jack is an absolute sweetheart and nothing like the player that Bev has made him out to be. So if you are looking for a great rom com, I’d definitely recommend that you give ‘Across From You’ a go.

I will start this by saying that I’m completely OBSESSED with this series! There aren’t many swinger books out there, or at least one that has a complete story behind it and it isn’t all about the sex. It’s about the emotions and the up and downs of any relationship. Miss Alexander blew this one out of the park. Her writing is superb and the story hooks you from page one.
We meet Casey in California where she is undergoing cancer treatments. Paisley and Leah come for a visit but both have issues that are clouding their minds. Casey steps in and tells them her own story with Gabriel and Joshua. What started off on just getting her “needs” met turned into the most epic love story I’ve read this year. It’s a story that will keep you on pins and needles until the very end when you can finally breathe.
Miss Alexander most definitely outdid herself on this book! Not only do I HIGHLY suggest that this book should be on everyone’s must-read list but the whole series as well!

This is a romance-mystery-suspense book that I enjoyed from the beginning, along with the twists and turns. Jace is an investigative writer that has come home after five years. I enjoyed both of these characters and their chemistry. I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens to them.

This is the first book in this series, it is full of action and romance. Dane is tasked with keeping Lauren safe but is having some troubles with that as it seems that he could be falling in love with her. I loved both of these characters and their chemistry. I also enjoyed the banter that happens between the two that make them great for each other. There are some twists and turns that I didn’t see coming but it certainly kept me turning pages. I highly recommend reading this book.
Tomb for an Eagle is the first book in the Orkneyinga Murders series by Lexie Conyngham. I usually don’t read historical books, but this one intrigued me right from the start. This is the first book I have read by this author and I’m looking forward to reading more of this series. This historical mystery held my attention from the first page to the last. I love the of the characters were well defined and the detailed descriptions made me feel like I was right there with the characters. This story was filled with twists and turns, and I loved that it kept me guessing to the very end until I figured out who did it. I highly recommend this book and look forward to books by Lexie Conyngham in the future.

Tomb for an Eagle is the first book in the Orkneyinga Murder series, by Lexie Conyngham. It is also the first book I have read by the author. It is set in the viking era, and is about a dead body that is found, crudely buried, and with an eagle. While the story is fictional, it has some historical aspects as well, which I like. It was hard for me to get into, because there are a lot of characters, and with odd names. But once I figured out who is who, I enjoyed the rest of the story. It is very mysterious and that kept me engaged because I wondered what would happen next. There were a lot of twists and surprises, which is always good. Murder mysteries are never any fun when you figure them out halfway through, so another good thing about this book. I give it a 4 star, because I enjoyed it, but it isn’t a favorite. There is a lot of detail and story building, with great characters and interactions.

Ketil is searching for answers. That is what lead him to The Brough. He is searching for their leader, Thorfinn. But Thorfinn is away, so Ketil decides to wait. He pretends to be a simple trader, not knowing who he can trust. But it turns out all he gets is more questions. Oh, and the dead body they found. Who killed him and why? Not to mention that he has heard rumors that the ghost of a man he knows to be dead. But ghosts and resurrection of the dead aren’t real. Are they? Are there those that still worship the old gods? Do they possess these powers? Will he find answers or is someone really bent on keeping him from finding the truth?
This a what I would describe as a historical suspense mystery. It is set in the time of the Vikings. In my opinion, the description that comes with the book does not give this story justice. There is so much going on than just the rumors that a dead man is alive again. A dead body is found not to long after Ketil arrives. Plus there are other “accidents” that seem to happen. Plus Ketil, with the help of Sigrid, has to take on the sole of detective, trying to find out just what happened. This puts him danger and he doesn’t even know whom from. The story is quite interesting, but I admit I had trouble getting into it from the beginning. There were many words I did not know and did not quite understand where the story was going. But the more I got into, the less I could put it down. It really is imaginative and like nothing I have read before.
I highly recommend this book to others who enjoy historical suspense.

Yet another winner from Claire Luana. This delightful story was a quick page turner; I couldn’t put it down. I loved this prequel as an addition to the Confectioners series. Great characters, steady story development. Hands down a great book and one I will recommend to others.

We are back with the pack and it’s all about Alexis. She is one skittish wolf. I didn’t really understand why she kept running but once you get into the story you see how she lost herself. Bryce never gave up and Lord I like that in a man. He went after what he wanted and eased so many fears. Women put up so many walls once they have been hurt. It takes a brave soul to fight a battle he might lose. The author once again gave us more than just a book. You get an autobiography of these characters lives and how they came together. I’m still waiting patiently for my one. This is why I love books like this. You get so much more than you thought. You learn the characters flaws and good points. Touchdown: A Steamy Football Romance: The Big Apple Series Book 1 by Alexa Summers. This was a fun book about Lexi Driver EAN’s top Sportscaster. She knew from early on she wanted to be surrounded by hunky half naked men. Its her dream job and she’s excelled at it without having to do things she regrets. She has lots of competition wanting her job, younger girls who will do anything to get to the top. She’s on top of her game until a scandal happen with a picture in the locker room of star quarterback Brett Brock. He’s furious with her and plans to destroy her career until he begins to have feelings for her. This is a fun sexy story with a great story line. I can’t wait to read the next book

Four Stars It takes so much courage to stand up for what you believe in. To look someone in the eye and tell them that there is another way. In this book you see how war can change people and a nation. Greer is part of this elite group if women. Most people don’t see women as they are portrayed in this story. Or they think women have one place and are wanting them to stay in it. It hurts to lose someone who is such a large piece of your life. Angelette was one of them and they felt it was their duty to make the people responsible pay. This story includes a lot of espionage and politics. The author brought us a story that made you think of the choices we make and how they affect the ones we love. This story was different because I don’t normally read war stories or political stories. Tomb for an Eagle was an interesting 4 star read and book one in the Orkneyinga Murders series.
This book takes us back to the viking era, we get suspense, murder and so much more. I like the kind of reads that keep you wondering who could be the killer and this one didn’t disappoint. Once I started I didn’t want to stop. I have to admit I did have a little difficulty understanding some things because of the viking language which made it authentic.
There are several twists and turns The secondary characters added a great element to the story. The author does a great job with her writing and pulls you right in with all the detail. This is my first read by Lexie and I look forward to reading more from her.

The First Backwards Christmas by Brooke Williams was a sweet, light heart read, that gets you right in the feels.
My first read by this author, I didn’t know what I was getting into, but I liked it, and I will be checking out more books by this author. Now I will tell you that this book is short, coming in at 49 pages short. Because of how quick and fast this story goes, I’m not going to give you too much on plot, and characters. But I will tell you that this book is extremely well written, warm and, it has that Christmas magic feel, that is on par with any hallmark TV movie. (This would fit perfectly into their line up)
What else can I say that won’t spoil this read, lets see. Given the shortness, I must say that the main characters were fairly well developed. You get a good feel of Joyce and Jack, their relationship and their goals. There isn’t any major shifts or changes in them, but Jack does get a little more growth, and in truth these two were so sweet, cheesy and cute, that I couldn’t help but roll the eyes.. in a good way.
Overall this book is that perfect quick read to get you in a good festive mood, and makes you want to watch some cheesy Christmas movies. So please take my super high recommendation and my stamp of approval that you will love this heart melty read.

I enjoy how this book pulled me right in from the first word. I also found this to be fast reading with a plot that is engaging. Thomas and Helena are very likable characters that I could connect with. Thomas has a unique ability where he can see into someone’s soul but he sees the world in black and white until he meets Helena. She brings life and more color then he could ever imagine but she also brings a past that could be a threat. I highly recommend reading this book.

I’m going to start right off with…Definitely one of my favorite books so far this year, actually maybe even further back than that. I’m not sure without looking how many of this authors books I have read but I know I have felt the same way after every one of them.
I honestly didn’t know if I was going to make it past 10% because I was laughing so hard at so many things and I couldn’t see through the tears. I really sincerely wish I could find the words to explain what it is I love so much about reading this authors books. It’s the way she words conversations between characters, the one liners, the snarky comebacks, they all just feel so real. I sincerely did not want the book to end, and even as I write this review I want to read it all over again, actually I want to make sure I have all of this series and read them all back to back.
I loved this storyline, Zoe is absolutely one of my all time favorite female leads, she was so strong, and determined yet still had the softness to her personality, and absolutely hilarious, I dont even know which part of her story had me laughing the hardest, and then she still had that side to her that melted my heart, and then in comes Tim….**heavy sigh** we all need a Tim, he was everything I want in my male leads
I’m not going to retell the story in this review, Im just going to tell you you have to read this book, actually read the whole series, the people from the previous books follow through the series and having all those stories are a definite must.
This authors talent for words has her in a class with the best of the best in my opinion.

Imperfect Heart is the fourth book in the Combat Hearts series by Tarina Deaton and it was just as amazing as the first three in the series.
Zoe has moved to Haven Springs after being discharged from the service. She is excited to start her new life as a civilian, a small business owner and a single woman and to be back in the same town as her best friend as well as close to her siblings. But life has a funny way of leading you down a path you never expected.
Tim a police officer in Haven Springs is just a good person. He was burned by an ex wife and decided he would just protect and serve.
There were a few parts where I laughed out loud and startled my dogs. The beginning with the raccoon was probably my favorite moment.
I am totally in love with this series and already looking forward to the next book.
Acevedo is finally doing something for herself. Opening an independent bookstore in Haven Springs, North Carolina is a major undertaking, but Zoe has a plan and a list. This is a short story about a Backward Christmas. I loved this book! It is a story that brought joy and excitement for the coming season. It warms the heart and brings the spirit of Christmas. I loved how we get to see how the Backward Christmas got started. The characters are loveable and relatable. They had great chemistry and made the story enjoyable. Will they be able to save a small town that is dying? I highly recommend this story!

Sailor’s Knot (Eastern Shore Swingers, #4) by Phoebe Alexander. This is the fourth book in the Eastern Shore Swingers series. I have read all of the previous books in this series and also many others by this author. I can honestly say that I have not found one that I have not loved and enjoyed. This was a much anticipated book for me. We have met and fell in love with Casey from the beginning. She is pretty much the Queen of the swingers club in Ocean City Maryland. Casey is the one that has always been there for everyone, now that she is battling breast cancer, her friends are there for her now. When Leah and Paisley come to visit her, they both are having their own issues in their relationships. When Casey starts giving them her advice, she tells them about her entrance into the lifestyle. That’s when we meet Gabriel and Joshua. Will Casey get her second chance at love and life? I guarantee that you will not be disappointed with this book!!!!! I fell in love all over again!!!
The Confectioner’s Guild is the first novel in the Confectioner Chronicles by Claire Luana. This is my third novel by this author.
Wren is a confectioner apprentices working in a confection shop. When a mysterious man shows up asking questions about her cupcakes, she is unsure of who he is or what she wants. Reluctantly she goes with him to meet the GuildMaster and thrown in a world she never knew existed and discovers an ability she never knew she processed.
But when the Guild Master is poisoned after eating of her cupcakes, she only has a limited time to prove her innocence and find out who really framed her before the king’s inquisitor arrives.
I’ve read a few books by this author and must admit this is my favorite so far.
While the beginning was confusing, I was interested in what was going on. I also love Wren’s character. She was funny and it was great seeing her passion for baking especially all the love and care she puts into the frosting of her cupcakes.
I fell in love with the cover and did not quite understand the title until I started reading the book. With a interesting concept, fun characters and world about magic, I highly recommend this book. I look forward to reading the next books in the series.
Sailors Knot is the most emotional in this series yet. I cried through half of it. I’m all about the second chance, and all the feels that come with it. Not to mention, this is Casey’s story, and shes always been such a strong personality. Watching her fight this illness was so hard for me, because I really feel connected to these characters now. Even with everything she’s going through, she pulls up all the reserves to dole out advice and support to her friends when they come visit. There were some super delicious love scenes, fantastically descriptive and steamy. And I hope to see more about her sister in the future. But it all boils down to love, friendship, and finding strength within.

The story Caught in Make-Believe (The Caught Series Book 3) by Sharleen Scott is a romantic suspense book. It is a story that hooked me in from the very beginning and I didn’t want to put it down until I had read the final page. It is a book with enough mystery and suspense that I was on the edge of my seat wondering what was going to happen next. I loved reading about the characters of Jace Colton and Samantha Dylan. Samantha is the manager of the local bakery and a woman who has not been lucky in relationships. The way her last one ended has her contemplating not starting another. Then she meets Jace. Jace is an investigative journalist who five years ago was on the edge of a story that would be big if and when it broke. Tragedy and threats drove him to disappear. He is now back in Angel Beach, Oregon and has found himself attracted to Samantha. She knows that his stay is most likely temporary. He doesn’t want to put her in danger. Both Jace and Samantha’s attraction to each other leads them into a relationship. Their feelings for each other are strong and there is a passion between them. When odd events start happening is it because of Jace’s past and if so, how much danger is this couple in? What does the future hold for both Jace and Samantha? Will they get a chance at an HEA? Read this book to find out. I found myself growing to love both Jace and Samantha with each chapter that I read. They are a couple that is meant to be together and I was always rooting for them. As I grew up in a small town, I loved that this book was set in one. Most of the additional characters know each other, and the community seems to be tight knit. It gives you a warm feeling just like you have come home. I also enjoyed the bantering back and forth that goes on between Jace and Samantha. This is a wonderfully written story with some amazing characters. Highly recommended reading.

The story The First Backwards Christmas by Brooke Williams is a wonderful book that I loved reading. It is a holiday romance story. It grabbed my attention from the very beginning and I found myself not wanting to put the story down until I had finished the last page. The book does at times move quickly, however, I felt the spirit and joy of Christmas throughout. I loved reading about the characters of Jack Furst ad Joyce Nicholson. I liked that I the story had me feeling what the characters do when they are happy, sad, or worried. There are surprises and parts that will warm your heart. Can the city of South Pole, Alaska be saved from becoming a ghost town? Will Joyce have to leave South Pole because of her job and in the process leave Jack behind as well? What will happen when a town embraces an unusual idea in order to save itself? Read this book to find out. I found myself growing to love Jack and Joyce with every chapter that I read. That they have an attraction and strong feelings for one another is undeniable. When reading you can look forward to getting that warm feel-good feeling and it stayed with me even after I had finished the book. Highly recommended reading.

I am a sucker for a sports romance and this one certainly delivered! It’s full of drama, suspense, jealousy, romance, happiness and so much more it kept me on my toes thats for sure. I was gripped from the start and it developed brilliantly it was one of those novels that you start and you get so engrossed you read it all in one sitting. I loved the characters and seeing them grow throughout the story they really made the story come alive and i could feel the emotions they were going through. I was at times in full on giggle mode especially with how the banter was between Lexi and Brett it made me smile alot. The novel is steamy and the chemistry flies between Lexi and Brett you can feel it pouring of the pages. I absolutely enjoyed every second of this novel and i can’t wait to read more from this author.
