The Agreement (Marcy series book 4) by Linda Burson is the fourth book in the series and should be read in order because you get the back story on the characters and they flow from one to the next. Sometimes I was frustrated and loved the characters and sometimes I really really wanted to shake them. This is a bit of an emotional ride and is full of unexpected twists and turns. As usual Linda does a great job of making the story flow and easy to read. To find out if Marcy & Brad have a HEA you will have to read the books.

I have read a few books written by this author and she always blows my mind with her writing the way she tells a story can actually imagine your self- there. Ms. Bexter like to through you with a curve ball in which she left us with a big cliffhanger so right now I don’t like Ms. Bextor (please hurry up with the second installment of this series)….. LOL. There is lots of drama, sex, action, and complications with a few twist. We get to see/hear about a few characters from other stories which I loved. James “Elevent” Scott is handling a crew of restless men while running low on cash and has but little choice left. So now he is forced to make a deal with the devil. When Elevent accepts the Russian’s offer to protect one of their own; he has no idea what’s to come. And he’s never been taken so off guard when he meets Mia Zanders and he is paid to protect her. Mia Zanders leads a modest and content life. Church secretary by day, sweetheart to the boy-next-door by night, her monotonous existence may be boring, but it’s safe. However, fate finds a way of shaking up everything she thought she knew. She soon finds herself inside a rough-and-tumble biker club. The men are vile. The women are catty. Yet, somehow this crew of bold and plenty help her to see what she never could before. The person she was meant to become the strong woman she was meant to be especially when it got her in trouble and I liked how she pushed Elevent back when he was being over the top ridiculous. Angels and Demons is Book 1 in the Saint’s Justice MC series from author A.C Bextor. This is my second read from this author and I can’t wait to see what else she brings to this series and other books from her.
This book completely captivated me from start till finish. I was totally hooked to the storyline and the characters Mia & Elevent. With MC books becoming a firm favourite of mine this one most definitely didn’t disappoint in fact this was even better than I expected. This book has danger, action, adventure, romance, passion in all things, left you on the edge of seat wondering what could possibly happen next but then also left you craving more. This book has many things that make it stand out but one of them I think are the characters. Mia who u must admit is annoying at times brings something to this book you don’t often typically find, a girl on the outside who is reserved and kind of shy slowly fit into and feel comfortable in the world of MC’s but also feel confident enough to say her piece especially when it involves her. But I think it’s the entire demeanour of Elevent and a few helpful others that help it be a smoother transition. Her and Elevent’s back and forth bantering just shows how much chemistry they have with each other, she has a metal and physical impact on Elevent and he makes her feel things she didn’t know existed but there is just something great and perfect about these two, but can they get their HEA?
Not only do the main characters impact this story but so do some secondary characters who I would love to learn more about their stories and how they come to be a member of the Saint’s Justice.
This is a thrilling, captivating and action-packed read that leaves you wanting more. I can’t wait to see what happens with the rest of the series, but until then don’t miss this read!

A Kiss to Build a Dream On is the third book in the Chateau Rouge series by Jolie St. Amant. It is a captivating paranormal romance set in New Orleans. And again, as with the other books in this series, Ms. St. Amant’s vivid imagery and rich, descriptive details really brought all the sights and sounds of this colourful and historic city to life, right before my eyes. This series is fast becoming a favourite of mine, and even though the books are short novella sized stories, they pack a lot in a short amount of space and feel like a much longer novel. Technically you could read this book as a standalone, but each instalment in the series is like a piece to a much bigger picture, all intricately woven along the same time-frame as the other books in the series. So, having said that, I really recommend reading ‘Dream A Little Dream of Me’ (Book #1) and ‘Hard Hearted Hannah’ (Book #2) to fully appreciate the rich tapestry that the author is creating. Each new book adding more ‘strokes’ and ‘layers’ to the overall picture. In this book we meet Chloe Deveraux who accepts a new job interstate and leaves her unhappy marriage, husband, home, and life behind- to start fresh in New Orleans, a city she’s long held a fascination for. Her new job is at the Chateau Rouge- where she’s the new P.R manager and Chloe will be staying at the hotel while she settles into the job and city. She is so excited about exploring the city, wanting to experience everything the New Orleans has to offer. Her new beginning really kicks off when she has a drink spilt on her in the bar on her first night in town. Jared Peterson is an IT and computer guru with his own software firm. He’s in town on business, which happens to be at the Chateau Rouge, where he is also staying. When he accidentally spills a drink on a gorgeous woman at the hotel bar he is surprised to recognise his high school crush. Chloe hasn’t changed in the years since he saw her last, but she doesn’t immediately recognise him. He’s been crazy about her in high school and he’s determined not to waste this opportunity to reacquaint himself with her, and hopefully it will develop into more. But Chloe is ready for a fresh start and to enjoy her freedom- not get tied down a man again. But as they spend time together, Chloe can’t help but feel drawn to Jared. Will she lower her guard and let him in, or will she allow her fears to prevent her taking a chance on love? This is a great addition to the series and I love how each book reveals a little more about New Orleans, and the history of the recurring characters and Chateau Rouge. Everything is so intricately connected. Small details that all blend together to produce the larger picture. I loved that with this story we got a bit more of Alcide’s story- he’s such a mysterious character, I loved uncovering those details about him. A story rich in history- with wonderful characters, an intriguing storyline, suspense, drama, mystery, tension, new beginnings, the paranormal, and a touch of Fate….. makes this a sweet and memorable read! I wonder who we get to meet in the next book?

I enjoyed this book tremendously. It was well written and the story flowed smoothly. I fell in love with the characters. They were full of different personalities yet they accepted each other even with their faults. It wasn’t just a brotherhood in the Saint’s bunker, they were a family. What I loved about Mia Zanders is the fact that even though she’s a good girl, she wasn’t too innocent. She was strong and able to hold her own within the club. Though she started out as a job for them, she quickly became the glue that held them together.
There was lots of great sex, some action and drama plus a bit of craziness. There were even some sad moments. There was something constantly happening to keep you interested until the end. The book ends on a cliffhanger so now I’m anxiously waiting on the next chapter in the series.

Covert Identities by Amabel Daniels is another brilliant mystery story involving the Newland siblings and I have been waiting for it for a long time! Ms Daniels is an amazing writer and I have been reading every single one of the Newland sibling stories and every single one seems to be better and better! Covert Identities is the story of Amy Perry and Sean Newland and oh boy, do they have a history … well, one could probably call them arch enemies … and of course, the history never stays buried … only, now when they are grown, it takes a different shade and the chemistry and the sparkles and the bickering and bantering and … simply, the whole shebang! If you love mysteries AND you love romance then this is definitely a book you need to pick up! And I promise, you will want to read the other Newland sibling books as well!

Why Not Me? is my first book by Ashley Erin. The blurb is what got me to read this book but it was the writing that kept me turning the pages. This was an enjoyable sweet book, far warning if you have a problem with cheating in a book – this might not be the book for you.
Why Not Me? will have you questioning past and present relationships. Wondering if a person from the past came back into your life would it change your present relationship? Allie is caught between two men and has a big decision to make; stay in a friend/roommate relationship or try again with a man that you have amazing chemistry with. I will say that I didn’t see that twist at the ending coming, that could have ruin Allie forever.

Rock Bottom is the seventh book in Satan’s Devils MC Series by Manda Mellett. I must confess that I wasn’t sure at first if I would like this story, because I wasn’t sure I ‘liked’ the lead character, Rock. But after reading a few of Ms. Mellett’s books, I knew that it deserved for me to at least give it a chance…. and now I am so glad that I did! After a bit of a slow start, where I was still up in the air about Rock- everything fell in place and I ended up loving it, and him. Yes, there were times I was ready to throttle him out of frustration, but he got his act together in the end! So, this is now my favourite of the series, so far! Even though this is the seventh book in the series, it can be read as a standalone- and not feel like you are missing out on anything. But after reading this one, you will realise what a great series this is and want to read the other books too. Becca and Rock are really great characters, and my heart ached for what they went through. There were some pretty graphic and horrific scenes in the book, and an unpredictability to the storyline, which had me reading with bated breath, devouring every page to discover what would happen next. There was a lot of action, some gritty and shockingly violent scenes, some touching and tender moments, some OMG revelations, some sizzle, and a story that has a lot more to it than it first appeared. If you love a really well written, riveting MC story- with complex, quirky and loveable characters, and an original plot- then this is definitely the book for you. Be warned though, you may discover that one of Ms. Mellett’s addictive books may not be enough! What will she do next? I can’t wait!

Why Not Me? by Ashley Erin is a great story- a romance with a second chance, love triangle aspect to. It is really well written and captured my attention right from the first chapter. There was a lot of emotion crammed into the story and Ms. Erin’s clever way with her words had me experiencing every one of those emotions along with the characters. Ms. Erin is a new-to-me author and I am surprised that I haven’t discovered her work before now, but I am glad that I finally stumbled on this book and have been introduce to an author whose work I will definitely be reading more of in the future. I have stalked her a little (ok, A lot ?) and have found that she has quite a few books to her body of work- which I will enjoy exploring as soon as possible. Allie Vincent thought she had her life mapped out- a great job, good friends, perfect boyfriend- until ‘he’ comes crashing back into her life after seven years, and turns her neat little world upside down. Old feelings resurface, the past and present smashing together. With these two men comes a difficult decision- what will she chose to do? A great read!

The Saint of Liars by Megan Mackie is the second book in The Lucky Devil Series a picks up two months after the last book left off. I am loving this paranormal thriller urban fantasy series. I was hungry to read this book after finishing the first and sat and gobbled it up in one day. There was no way I could put it down as there is so much going on I had to know where it was going. There is magic and magical creatures that are mystical. There is drama and action at every turn, adventure and danger that will have you holding your breathe, suspense and intrigue caught up in the twist. Searching for the truth between the secrets and lies is paramount as we traverse through different realms, different worlds that Megan has cleverly woven. Rune and Saint Benedict really make the story pop and their complicated relationship is one I hope continues to evolve. The only thing I found a little confusing was that the story was told in different POV’s and there was no indication it was so until you read and reread it a couple of times but once you knew what to expect it was ok. I hope to see a third book to this series as I feel there is so much more to be told and enjoy.

The Finder of The Lucky Devil by Megan Mackie is a surprise and exciting read and is a paranormal thriller, urban fantasy at its best. The story is very well written and woven with so many threads that is wonderfully entertaining. With magic and alternate worlds, magical creatures and corporate conspiracy, technology and supernaturals makes this a hard read to put down. You find yourself completely under its spell as your emotions run rife and you become part of the action and craziness and let’s not forget the fun. Megan’s characters have depth and that feel of being real people in a world where so much is going on and a lot of story that has to be told. As I said it is a paranormal thriller, urban fantasy at its best, so grab a copy and sit back and enjoy the ride.

Why Not Me? by Ashley Erin is a romance story that is fast paced and is well written. The story is told in dual points of view, which we all know I love because to me it gives so much more depth to any story because you know what the other character is thinking and feeling and to me makes a story more rounded. When dealing with matters of the heart you can’t help who you love but my heart was with Brendan. Lies and secrets, love and betrayal, hurt and redemption, pain and heartbreak are what makes this story so hard to put down, so I read it in one sitting. It is also about finding yourself again and who you truly are.

Must Have Faith is the second book in the Darling Cove Series by Deborah Garland and is a fantastic second chance romance. This story is every bit as great as the first book, and I really loved getting to know Faith and Greg so much better. We met them in the first book “Must Love Fashion” where they played secondary character roles. Greg is Gwen’s brother (book one) and Faith is Gwen’s childhood best friend (book one). Faith Copeland is an executive producer with CNN and Greg is a Police Officer with the Darling Cove Police Department. Faith and Greg have a history- they were once very much in love and engaged to be married. Then out of the blue Faith calls off the wedding and leaves for Afghanistan on a 3-year assignment- leaving Greg a shattered man. But when Gwen and Andrew’s wedding photographer leaves them in the lurch, Gwen persuades Faith to use her photojournalistic talents and step in to save the day, putting Faith and Greg together in the same room for the first time in 10 years. Seeing each other again brings up a lot of memories and feelings- and sparking the intense chemistry they once shared. But with so much hurt, secrets and time between them- things are not going to be easy. What caused Faith to call off the wedding so abruptly? Why did she leave for Afghanistan? What has happened in the 10 years they’ve been apart? Is there a chance that they could rekindle their romance and be together again? Well, Ms. Garland certainly made these two jump quite a few hurdles in the pursuit of happiness. Some of the angsty, push/pull, indecisions, and constant obstacles- really drove me crazy. I wanted to jump in there and sort them out. But it was all worth it in the end. The story had amazing chemistry, sizzling encounters, funny moments, emotional times…. and lots of good fun reading! I am really looking forward to getting “Must Be Crazy” (Book #3 in the Darling Cove Series), which releases in October.

Angels and Demons is the first book in the Saint’s Justice MC series by A.C Bextor. Even though this is the first book in a new series, I really recommend reading “Empires & Kings” and “Saints & Savages” – which are books one and two in the Mafia series. The reason I recommend that you read these two books first (even though they are part of a different series) is because there are characters, information and circumstances that cross over and I feel are pertinent to this story- and having all that information will help you better understand and appreciate this story. This is only my suggestion, because I think it would enhance your enjoyment of this book. What happens when you throw a church secretary in with a bunch of bikers? Well, you get a brilliant story, of course! Mia Zanders is 25 years old and has a modest, predictable, routine and comfortable life. What does it matter if she longs for something ‘more’. She has a nice apartment, a good job as the secretary at a church, has a charming ‘boy-next-door’ boyfriend, and a sister she loves. But, her sister is engaged to the son of a powerful family- and when threats are made against the family, every member is put under protection, including Mia by association. This places Mia into the Saint’s Justice MC clubhouse and opens the door to a world she had never imagined. Elevent (El) is the President of the Saint’s Justice MC and has taken on a protection detail as a favour to the Russians, and as a way to bring in some much needed funds that will help his club out of some financial difficulty. He never expected that the person they’d be protecting would have such a profound effect on him and the rest of the MC. She has an innocent air of vulnerability, but a body made for sin. He needs to remain professional and do his job, but the longer she’s under his roof, the harder that becomes. What happens, you ask? Well you really should read all the riveting details for yourself- you won’t be disappointed. This is such a complex, sexy and brilliant story by Ms. Bextor. The tension, suspense, sizzling chemistry and intensity was beautifully developed and engineered by the author. She has a real knack for keeping you on the edge of the seat, while needing to devour every word in this scintillating tale to find out what happens. It has a fast pace and is strewn with surprises and some shocking twists, which only enhance the exciting atmosphere of the whole book. I was hooked from the beginning till the end, and read it all in one sitting. I can’t wait to see where this series leads! Bring on book #2!

Must Have Faith by Deborah Garland is the second book in the Darling Cove series and a second chance story which was a joy to read. This book follows the story of Greg and Faith. After ten years apart they once again come face to face. Will secrets and lies and the truth be too much to bear? Can the past be left behind to start a new? Is there a happy ending or will the realise it was never meant to be? The wonderful characters are well developed and pop off the page. The plot is well thought out and has a few twists and turns that kept you hooked wanting to know how it ends, for better or worse. Was it all happiness and roses? NO, it was a very emotional ride and at times I wanted to shake some people and say “seriously” but the path is never straight forward in quest for love.
I enjoy Deborah’S stories I look forward to see what she comes up with next in what I hope is Sky’s story.
Unsteady by Elizabeth York is one emotional story that was heartbreaking and one comlex storyline that keeps you on your toes. There are so many twists and turns throughout this journey of a love that is fated but does not always goes smoothly. There is just so much to love about this story, faith and love, heartache and loss, lies and secrets and that is only the beginning. This story is told in dual points of view, which I love because you get to understand so much more and Elizabeth did a great job. This book is a little different to what she normally writes but she did a wonderful job of setting the scene. There is so much depth to the characters and their stories felt real and believable, some more raw than others and some I sometimes wanted to smack and other times I wanted to either wrap my arms around or laugh along with. Unsteady is a second chance romance story that will break you down and build you back up. This is a must read and I look forward to see what Elizabeth comes up with next.

This is my 2nd book by this author and although I really liked the 1st in this series, I sincerely loved this one.
The authors writing style made for a smooth read and I finished it in just a couple hours. I loved the storyline and how it was a bit different than the normal 2nd chance at romance stories. The few twists and turns were placed perfectly and the ending had my heart racing and I could see it playing out, it felt like I was there watching it all happen. I loved the family aspect of this story, and the return of our first books couple.
I absolutely cannot wait to see who will get book 3, and although this is a series you can read this book as a standalone but I wouldn’t recommend it because you would be missing out on so much history with others in this story.

The Black Lotus Affair is the second book in The Kiko Ochisan Adventure series by Lina Vine. This series is incredibly enjoyable. I am so glad I stumbled on to the first book, scrolling through my feed. This book has a bit of a mystery- it’s really fast paced and will whisk you away into a really great adventure which Ms. Vine has infused with action, intrigue, drama, and wonderful details. I really liked the first book, but this one allowed me to get to know Kiko a little better, making this book even more interesting, for me. We met Kiko Ochisan in the first book, ‘In the Land of the Crane’, she’s a former Secret Agent for Japan. In this story, Kiko is drawn into a mystery to uncover what’s behind the maimed bodies with strange markings that have been discovered in Tokyo. With a link to one of the victims, a mysterious stranger, the secrets of the Black Lotus Society, murder, danger, and more- this story really takes off and Kiko will have to use all her skills to make it out alive. As with the first book, this is a novella sized story which has a lot going on in a small space- but it doesn’t feel rushed or cut short in any way as the author choreographs everything into a smooth, and captivating read. I am really looking forward to the next book!

The thing I loved about this book was that it wasn’t only a love story. It also had a mystery for the main characters to unravel. Amy Perry is a famous dancer who has travelled the world. Leaving behind a crazy ex and a nasty divorce, she goes home to fix the house she inherited, to make herself a home. Little does she know, her step father has hired her childhood nemesis as her contractor. Faced with dealing with him again, Amy realizes that he has grown up to be a man. He is sexy, gorgeous and turns out he’s a gentleman too.
Sean Newland is surprised to see Amy. He found her cute back then but now she’s grown to be a beautiful, independent woman. Both have sworn to remain single but with an attraction so strong, will they succumb to their desires? First day on the job and they find a dead body on the premises and her Uncle’s journal full of riddles. Working together to solve the mystery brings them closer each day.
The story was well written with different plots that never overpowered each other but blended perfectly. Amy and Sean didn’t rush to jump into bed rather it was a slow build up that I appreciated. I was always anticipating what would happen next. The mystery of the story was a perfect crescendo until it was fully solved. I think Amabel Daniels did a wonderful job with this book.

The Navigator is heart wrenching. To know someone like Garrett, someone so lost and completely out of hope, is heart wrenching. Alexander does a fantastic job of creating this character so that the reader can feel his pain and despair as well. I sure did!
Anjuli is the coolest name ever. This character is an older woman, 40’s, smart, dedicated and strong. I could relate to Anjuli as a woman and a mother. We women tend to do things because we must, simply because there is no one else to do it. This character is no different. Anjuli is strong and free and reading about her makes me smile and gives me hope.
Fate leads these two characters to meet. They literally bump into each other. Not cliché at all, actually, more sweet and innocent than cliché. What starts out as a “friends with benefits” situation turns into something more. With the twisting family dynamics and hot sex scenes this book is all that and a bag of chips! And can we add in there Garrett’s hot sexy roommate!
As with Alexander’s other books, The Navigator must be read with an open mind. Some situations aren’t for everyone, but man does she make them worth reading!

The Navigator is A Mountains Trilogy novel by Phoebe Alexander. I loved the Mountains Wanted Trilogy- that series of books are one of my favourites by Ms. Alexander, so when I saw she had written another book as part of that series, I knew that I just had to read it. But I wasn’t sure how this story would fit in to the series and if there would be any connections between them, and because it has been a few years since I had read Mountains Wanted- I decided that this would be a great time to revisit those books before diving into this one! So, here I am, 5 books later- and I have to say that I still love those books so much and I am really glad that I reread the other 4 books before starting this one. But, you really don’t have to have read the other books to really enjoy this one- you could just read it as a standalone without feeling like something is missing (although you would be missing out on some really great books). This story touches and explores so many elements- each one on its own could be interesting- but combined into such a wonderful story- well, it’s like crack for a romance addict. The book is so much more than I thought it would be. The blurb is good, but it really doesn’t convey just how compelling the story is, or how heartfelt, meaningful and emotional this experience is. I mean, she had me at bearded man and Mountains Trilogy- but add in bisexual romance, Indian Heroine, interracial romance, older woman/younger man, and more- still doesn’t even begin to convey how much this story will imprint itself in your heart and mind. Not to mention the sizzle factor is off the charts! The story flows well and has a great pace. I read it in one sitting. I can’t wait to see what Ms. Alexander does next!

The Port Elspeth Jewelry Making Club by Holly Tierney-Bedord is such a well thought out and intricately planned story. The author has written extremely well- developing a complex and fascinating mystery, full of intricate details and rich descriptions. She definitely had me engrossed- right from the outset. Cadence Sommerset gets a whole lot more than she bargained for when she starts a jewellery making club as a way of raising funds for charity, but also a way for her to fit in and make friends, in this new town she and her husband were making their home. What unfolds makes for wonderful and intriguing reading. I tried to predict where the story would lead, but Ms. Tierney-Bedord managed to keep me guessing right till the end. I have read quite a few of Ms. Tierney-Bedord’s books now, but this is my first full length novel from her. I enjoyed getting to sink my teeth it this longer story and feel that it delivered everything I could hope for from a great mystery. The main characters were all fully developed, realistic and very likeable. The secondary characters were also well developed, with their own individual personalities. Ms. Tierney-Bedord has her own unique style and always delivers an entertaining and original story. The book is fast paced and flows smoothly. The story is a standalone, and a great addition to the other books in her body of work/s. So, allow yourself a few hours- curl up with a hot chocolate or a glass of wine and dive into this captivating read. Just like me, you’ll be happy you did.

Beneath the Shine is the third book in A Prairie Tale Series by Lisa Sorbe. This book comes in as number three in this series of standalones. The other two books ‘One Fluttering Heartbeat” book #1, and “Found in Silence” book #2, are both wonderful stories too, so if you haven’t read them yet, you will most probably decide that you really want to get your hands on them, especially after reading this one. Betsy has what most would consider to be a great life, but her reality is far from perfect. She is really just going through the motions of life, putting on a ‘shine’ for the world to see- when she has actually been quite lost for a long time. She keeps a secret that she has never revealed to anyone- the memory of which plagues her days and haunts her nights- never letting her fully embrace life. I was very quickly emotionally invested in the outcome of Betsy’s story and rooting for her the whole way through. Adair is her good friend, and there is a lot more to him than my first impression. I really grew to love him as a character as well. I really didn’t like Clint at all, the whole way through till the last few chapters when he redeemed himself in my eyes. Her family are just awful, I wanted to abduct her and adopt her into my family. Such horrible people. But I guess the fact that I felt so strongly about fictional characters is just another testament to Ms. Sorbe’s supreme writing skills. I found this story to be a little heavier in content and more emotional than the first two. Maybe because I could personally relate to what Betsy had been through. As the story unfolded, transitioning from past to present to help fill in the backstory, my heart broke for what Betsy had been forced to endure. I really wanted to hug her so badly. But there was so much more to this superb friends to lovers romance story- and I really enjoyed watching the characters growth and development over the course of the story. It was a little slow to get going, but once the pace picked up the story really took off. I really can’t wait to see what the author does next!

The Navigator: A Mountains Trilogy Novel by Phoebe Alexander is an interesting and a powerful emotional read. It took me awhile to warm up bit once I did it was hard to put down. This story is one of struggles and survival, self destruction and self discovery, secrets and lies and a broken down man who needs some in his corner. He needs love and forgiveness, friendship and family. He finds it hard to sustain any relationship and before he knows it and his life is spiraling out of control what he didn’t know he needed was staring him in the face, he just has to let them in. The story is a well written and entertaining and the characters are complex and kept you engaged.

Beneath the Shine (Prairie Tales Book 3) by Lisa Sorbe is a contemporary romance. It was a little slow to warm up to but hang in there because it gets good and you find that you can’t put it down. Lisa writes well and makes you feel connected to the characters and takes you on an emotional ride. They are real and oh so raw. The story of our female lead was heartbreaking and I enjoyed watching her grow and finally come out the other side finally at peace. Of course there is a best friend that helps along the way with some love and understanding and laughs.

The Hallowed is the second book in The Scrying Trilogy by Jaci Miller and continues on from book one therefore reading The Scrying first is a must and a pleasure. This is a not only a paranormal tale but it is also full of the supernatural. Magic and prophecies, fates and destinies, mysteries and evils, tomes and realms, action and drama. All that and more in this wonderful riveting and captivating story and well developed characters as they learn their part in what is to come. Jaci has woven amazing worlds full of intrigue, where the suspense and drama is like a crescendo building and building waiting for all to be revealed. This vibrant story easily transports you into the story right along with the characters as they journey into the unknown. I am now waiting with bated breath for the next book.

Oh My!! This book was out of this world amazing, I loved every single second of it!! This is my first read by this author and Im blown away.
Usually when there are this many characters in one book I get all flustered but this one was done so perfectly that I never had to stop and say “wait, who was that again” I don’t know how this author did it but it was simply perfect.
I don’t even know if I know what the main storyline was because it was all so good and I was fully invested in each individual story all the way through..I lied I do know what the main was and it had me all over the place thinking I had it all figured out and of course until the end I didn’t.
I’m sitting totally blank because I don’t know what to say…I want to tell you about each person in this book, I want to tell you their stories and tell you how I felt about each one but that wouldn’t be fair, I am not even kidding when I say I already want to go read it again and I will recommend this to everyone I know that reads.
This had the perfect balance of everything I love in my books, the mystery though I think was my favorite part with the interaction and friendship bonds that were formed being a very close 2nd. I don’t even know who my favorite was because I loved them all, I even loved the ones that I was meant to not like, the character building was spot on.
I will absolutely be reading more from this author, I have to quit rambling because I’m too tempted to say too much…READ THIS!! This author is so talented and I just know that anyone that loves to read will thoroughly enjoy this book!!

Beneath the Shine is the third book in Lisa Sorbe’s Prairie Tale series and it was a long time coming! I loved the first two books and the third one did not let me down either! You can read it as a standalone but it is always a pleasure to encounter the characters you recognize from the previous books so I warmly recommend to read the first two books (and they are fantastic in their own rights so you are making yourself a disservice not reading them!) Beneath the Shine is the story of Betsy and Adair. The story takes you on a journey, a slow journey (but not a boring one, slow does not mean boring) of finding one’s way from devastating event that has overshadowed one’s life since childhood to recognizing that one is worth so much more … There are demons, right, but there is also being the best friends ever, being there for each other, and there is also love and passion … It is also a story of daring finally to go outside the little box that one has put themselves and their life into and seeing that it was not too crazy to dream … The way the writer tells the story, it sort of sooths you and you do not even realize that hours have gone by while journeying along Betsy and Adair. I am really curious to see who is next in the line for their story!

Its always nice to step outside your favorite genre and read something new. This book is a refreshing change from my normal genre. I found it to be a very unique and refreshing read. The world built by this author is very original and well voiced.
I found the book to be filled with drama and twists and turns. The whole story was filleI d with unique characters. I like how it began with Kit and turned into Barne’s story. I was hooked from page one and couldn’t wait to see what would happen next. I really look forward to reading more from this author and hopefully this series.
Ok this was simply awesome…my second read by this author and I loved it. It had all I love in a book…mystery, suspense, 2 people who see each other again after years and pick right back up fighting each other at every turn, love, romance, hurt, danger, and a huge loveable butt dialing beast named Balboa.
Yes this story had it all and it had me trying to put the pieces together all the way through, I love stories like this, and I loved all the characters at play and how they all interacted.
I read this pretty quick since I couldn’t put it down once I started and this author had a new fan when I finished the first that I read and this one just solidified that.
Loved it and I highly recommend! Hope there is more to come for these and other characters in this story.
