Her Real Man (Rescue Me Collection Book 0) by Natalina Reis is a quick enjoyable read that is both cute and fun. Sparks fly when our two main characters find what neither of them knew they were looking for. This story will have you laughing and crying and enjoying every part of it. What happens when a romance writer goes looking for a real man? What type of man is a real man? Is there even such a thing as a real man? Will a real man make the perfect book boyfriend? This is the third book I have read by Natalina and they are all great stories but this would have to be my favourite. I look forward for more from her.

Our Next Chapter by Michelle Sullivan is a beautiful but sad contemporary romance story about second chances. Michelle’s writes a story that make you feel like you are a part of it. Emotions are real and raw because of those that deemed they knew better with secrets and lies, betrayal and hurt, threats and malice, loss and love, fears and uncertainty. Once I started this book I was unable to put it down until I had finished. My heart aches for what our characters went through and it hits home for what those of us who were young mothers and our own struggles. This story will take you on an emotional journey and is a definite page turner. The story is well thought out and beautifully written. These characters definitely hold a place in my heart. A job well done Michelle.

Love on a Limb A Love Story For All Seasons by Laurie L.C. Lewis is a beautiful heart wrenching, sob inducing wonderful romance story. I love reading Laurie’s work as she puts so many emotions into her writing that it makes you feel as though you are right there with the characters as they struggle with having to deal with life and death. This sad yet beautiful story reached into my heart and left me devastated, it makes you wonder what would happen if I was faced with my mortality or that of someone I loved. This is one story where you will need the tissue box and a good stiff drink or two. The love, hope and faith these characters had for one another will see you crying, laughing, sobbing and fighting right alongside them in this battle to live. I highly recommend this amazing story to anyone who loves a story that touches your heart in such a way that it will stay with you.

I loved reading Relationship Resuscitation from, The Jupiter Court Series by Jennifer Theriot. This is another fabulous and exciting sexy, loveable, and emotional book. I was really excited to read this book/series. The characters are well written, with Ms. Theriot writing style is easy flowing and engaging. We Meet Phillip & Jayne Miller, original homeowners on Juniper Court. He’s a successful attorney; she’s a flourishing blogger. Head over heels in love and approaching 50, their relationship needs a little jump start. With the their twin girls married and moved away from Sunview, Phillip and Jayne decide it’s time to focus on resuscitating their relationship, complete with spicing up their neglected sex life. When competition between the two sets in, it becomes a full out game to see who can one-up the other trying new things. Ah, yes. Life on Juniper Court gets interesting… and sometimes embarrassing. Be careful what you wish for and where you stick your nose. Sometimes keeping up with the Joneses–or in this case, the Sullivans can have. Gabe is the first book in the Glass City Hearts by Desiree Lafawn and it is a winner. Desiree has thrown everything you could want in a book and it comes together seamlessly. This story is intriguing and mysterious, sexy and hot, realistic and yet unbelievable. There is threats and crime, sleaze bags and terror, laughter and sadness but underneath it all is such sweetness it will knock you for a six.
The characters in this book are lovable and funny but Greta and Jolene are such a hoot, that you can’t help but laugh out loud with their antics and want to be their best friend. I hope we get to read more of these wonderful characters in the future.
What happens when you are in the wrong place at the wrong time? Who do you turn to when your life is in danger? What happens when you come face to face with a past that tore you to shreds? How can you reconcile a past with your future? What happens when you are so consumed with sadness that you don’t know how to move on?

That Unexpected Kiss (Kissed by Fate book 2) by Tamara Ferguson is a beautiful romance with a twist. Tamara takes you on a journey that always melts your heart but also adds the twist with a mystery that is just waiting to be untangled. Tamara’s writing style flows easily and is always engaging and Crystal Rock seems magical and real and if it were a real place I am sure I would want to live there.
All Tamara’s characters are strong and lovable but also vulnerable and complex as we learn about their past and what has made them, them and how the untangle the mysteries surrounding them and the ones they love. Not everything is what it appears to be! As always though the chemistry with all the characters is always strong and hot.
I highly recommend this series. What does fate have in store for our next couple? I can’t wait to find out.

TWO HEARTS UNBROKEN (Two Hearts Wounded Warrior Romance Book 6) by Tamara Ferguson is another great addition to the series. I love Tamara’s writing and am enjoying and have fell in love with the characters that star in one way or another throughout the series. Tamara’s stories involve military men and women who are returning and trying to build a life after the forces and horrific injuries veterans. I advise that you read each book in order so you understand and get the back stories of the characters and the world in which they live. Crystal Rock is one place where the magic of the place ensures true love and one kiss is all you need.
Murder in Vail by Judy Moore is one read where you just want to smack each and every character in the book especially where those are poor little rich kids who are rude and over privileged. It is a quick read that will leave you going wow, just wow, I never expected that!! It is a “who dunnit” story with a twist that you don’t in a million years see coming, that will have you guessing right up to the very end.
Murder in Vail is a murder mystery with greedy, self centred people showing their true colours. It is a quick and enjoyable read.

After All These Years by Bree Kraemer is the seventh book in her Cederville series and what a beautiful second chances story it was! I have read all of the other books in the series and yes, you could read the story as a standalone but you’d miss out so much out on the dynamics and subtleties by doing so! The story is Julia and Wes’ story of second chances … They had been together for four years when teenagers and unfortunately they got into experimenting with drugs and it got out of control! Julia got clean but Wes didn’t and for the sake of staying clean, Julia left Wes … for fourteen years! It is in some ways a very heart-breaking story of how far reaching our mistakes can be – for fourteen long years both Julia and Wes have tried to have other relationships but no one, no one has filled the spot the other had left behind … They both have rebuilt their lives, they both are successful in their own rights and the writer is taking us on a journey of re-discovery … can they forgive and move on? Will their families still be supportive when the old secrets come to light? I love all of the Centerville stories and I invite you to join us and become friends with all these amazing characters that Bree has introduced to us! A Force of Nature by Kara Liane is the second book in her Tryst of Fate series. I have not read the first book that was her debut but after having finished this one, I know I will need to pick up the first one! Yes, you can read this military romance as a standalone but personally, when I like the writing, I always like to go and read the other books in the series … it gives so much more! It was pretty cool to know that the story is loosely based on the writer’s own story, on her love story to her airman husband but let’s get to the book! A Force of Nature is the story of Brent & Everly, a military hero and a smart aleck reporter! Sparks flying … emotional baggage …. PTSD and anxiety … humour and sex … oh my gosh … What do you end up with when you put it all together – a pure rollercoaster ride! I love the level of detail that the writer has put into her writing, it makes it all so much more real and relatable … my heart ached for Brent and I admired Everly’s compassion and understanding … Thank you Kara for a memorable story and I am sure that all of that have read your stories are all impatiently waiting for the next one!

Unforgivable Secret (Breathless) by Izzibella Beau

Oh my gosh I love this book! I was only 80% of the way through it and had already recommended it to a couple people. It is a young adult novel dealing with some bullying, depression, and just the normal things high schoolers deal with on a daily basis while they just try to get through the start of adulthood. I think one of the things I loved most about reading this is that it felt completely real all the way through…No huge earth shattering twists and turns just real life and I completely appreciated that.
Ethan was captain of the soccer team, popular, good looking, and had the normal popular girls following him everywhere. When faced with a bet that has been around as long as the soccer team itself, he finds himself being forced to target the captain of the debate team. The smart girl, the one no one pays attention to unless their making snide remarks or making fun of her, the younger sister of one of the most popular girls in the school at one time. Ethan learns quickly that this will not be a bet that’s easily won, and finds that now that he is paying attention to this girl, things get very complicated in this popular guys life!
Morgan is the quiet one, the smart one, the one everyone picks on or just plain ignores. Society believes she should lose a few pounds, although that was only because she wasn’t stick thin. Her only goal is to get through her senior year and get away from all the crap and hopefully find a good school where she wouldn’t constantly feel like she was having to live up to everything her older sister stood for while she attended the same school, even though her sister was now in college, her presence was still very strong. She couldn’t quite figure out why the most popular guy in school, one that she would never even consider wanting anything to do with all of sudden has decided to pay attention to her. Could she be wrong about him, he seemed totally different than what she thought.
When things aren’t as they seem and a young girl is faced with an unforgivable secret, can she find it in her heart to forgive? Can a young man who has so much to live up to and finds many things to be not as they seemed be able to get past the extreme hurt he not only causes but feels deeply within himself?
Awesome story, and now I can not wait to read more from this author, her writing style flowed easily and I sincerely loved this book and did not want it to end.
Power Play: 39 Juniper Court (The Juniper Court Series) by Lainie Suzanne and is another great book to this series. It was great to see a book about a couple in their fifties, who are regular working folk who are flawed just like the rest of us, learning how to reconnect the spark in their romance after being married and raising their kids. Curiosity is a wonderous thing, so when Nina shares with her husband, they come together to explore their unknown needs in a loving and safe environment and the sexy fun times begin.
Lainie has written this story with great humour and plenty of sizzling heat. You will laugh so much you will cry.

A Force of Nature is the second book in the A Tryst of Fate Series Novel by Kara Liane is a contemporary romance, that is hot and sexy with alpha military men and sassy, strong and independent women. It also deals with two people who are dealing with PTSD and abandonment issues and a love that will hopefully blow those issues away. The story is well written and thought out, well written with lust and love, angst and humour, drama and healing, laughter and sadness.
This is the first book I’ve read by Kara and she made the characters seem real. If you are looking for a new romance story then this is one for you.

I read this book in one sitting, so if you are looking for a quick getaway this is the perfect book. The Characters are well written. Ms. Reis storyline is engaging and easy flowing. It made me feel as if I was right there with the characters. Ana is a cute and quirky romance writer looking for fireman book boyfriend inspiration and she gets more than she expected from Gavin McLeod. Her quest to find imperfection could be the spark that brings to life their chance at happiness, or the burn that could destroy it all. Ana has her own demons she needs to get over or work through in order for Gavin and her to have a chance. Gavin has his flaws but he owns them and is kind, strong, courageous and so easy to fall in love with. Because of his past he rather only go out with the likes of models and such. But once he meets Ana he’s instantly attracted to her which is a complete surprise to him. Gavin has his own issues in the past that has made him not be the ideal real man that Ana wants to write about. This was the conclusion to Gray and Daniel’s story and it did not disappoint. The author does a wonderful job of making her characters be real people. I loved that she portrayed how two people who are overcoming their own demons can work together to overcome them, but that isn’t always with rainbows and butterflies. That a real relationship has ups, downs, and takes work. That sometimes each person has to be loving, kind, and understanding. Sometimes the other person has to be strong, disciplined, and the powerhouse and that those roles can often change in a true relationship. Such a warm book about those obstacles and how sometimes the things you think you are dealing with are not the true fight. I hope to see the author come back to these characters someday as they grow and expand.

I love Ashlie Knapp’s writing style, characters, covers, and stories! You can try to avoid love and be just like the main characters of this story, Breckin and Griff, but I bet just like them, you will be surprised!
Knapp’s books are easy to read, with stories that are sweet, sexy and safe enough for your own 90 year old “Mema” to read!
Since this is not my first book by Knapp, I was hoping that Unlikely to Fit would leave me smiling and my heart warm and full, just like her other books. In the craziness of real life, it is good to have a go to author to make you feel good! Ashlie Knapp is my go to goodness!
Breckin and Griff have had their hearts broken by their previous loves. Neither one is looking to start over. Their adventure is a fun one to read. Griff’s grandmother steals the show most of the time which causes Griff and Breckin to come together.
This is the second book in the series but it could be read as a stand alone. However, I suggest reading book one first as there are some references to the main characters, Annie and Wyatt. The main characters from book one are the best friends of Breckin and Griff. (Plus Knapp writes a great story!)

It is a YA Coming of Age story about a young lady, Gwen, that graduates college and goes through the motions of how to live her life after living a sheltered life. Gwen has always followed her Mother’s rules and has never had a boyfriend. She doesn’t know how to let go and have fun. While working at her parent’s flower shop, she meets Kame. She is instantly attracted to him and is confused by her feelings, as she has never felt that way about anyone. Will she be able to break free from her sheltered beliefs and let loose for Kame? Will Gwen’s mother approve of her relationship with Kame? This was a well written story that flowed seamlessly. I enjoyed reading this story and look forward to reading the second book to find out more about Gwen

I had high hopes for this story since I have read a few of LMM’s other books. And of course she didn’t let me down. Good story. Would have been a great story if the main characters, Graham and Jessie, had a (Better) relationship outside of the bedroom. In the bedroom, these two were on fire. LMM did a great job of leading us to the bedroom scene and letting our imaginations take over. I would be interested in reading Graham’s side of this story.
The tone through most of this book makes me feel like something bad is going to happen, something that can’t be fixed. I was anxious most of the time…waiting. Yes Jessie had a bad childhood but it wasn’t devastating enough, at least to me, for her to be SO untrusting.
Overall I really did like this story. Graham is sweet and forgiving, Jessie is smart and just wants someone to love her, someone that will stay. Even the best friends, Sean and Sara are fun to read about. (Will they get their own story?)
This story has me stalk…err… following Miller to see what and who is next!! I can definitely recommend this story and author.

This story is a story of a swinger’s club in Ocean City Maryland, and the characters in this story are a close and would do anything for each other. This story is about the mysterious Sirena who has secrets and a past she would rather keep to herself but as we find out more about her we see a connection like no other between Sirena and Jessie. Phoebe draws you in with intrigue and mystery, seduction and love.

I have read quite a few books by Shandi Boyes and though you can read these two books as standalones, they are actually in some ways part of the bigger series (Enigma). I am sure once you finish these two, you will feel compelled to go looking for more! Beneath is the story of Hugo and Ava. They are meant for each other but of course nothing is that simple when it comes to life! It is a story about love, family; friendships that go beyond the mundane, sacrifice, guilt … you just name it! Hugo is battling demons and at times they win, Ava has her own baggage that brings along its own challenges … nothing is straight forward here! There are 5 YEARS between the first and second book!!! After these five years Hugo returns to face the music, to try to make amends and pray that Ava’s heart is big enough to give him another chance … I cried and I laughed and mostly I cried … The story will take you hostage, play with your emotions and at times you are not sure where is up and where is down, it is such a rollercoaster, such emotions … and it is not just women who feel here, it is also those strong alpha males! Broken Butterfly is the fifth book in the series A Fortis Security Novel by Maddie Wade and once again this book is a great read. I have been in love with this series since book one and have not looked back since I found Maddie as a wonderful writer. This series and this book have it all, and I am in love with the Fortis men and women and their partners. I would encourage you to start with book one and work your way through so you get to know and love these wonderful characters and become invested in their lives. Each book is about each team member and the love of their life and the terror and torture they face as the fight to keep everyone they love safe from the evil grips of the Divine Watchers.
Maddie continues to get better and better with each book and her attention to detail and ability for storytelling has certainly made Broken Butterfly the best so far. I can’t wait to read the next installment!

I think there should be another star rating for books and authors that simply move past the 5 and put them in a class all of their own, Shandi Boyes is one of these authors (even if I may or may not have called her evil, and other horrendous names while reading these books).
Do yourself a favor and first off, do not read these books out of order, second…You will need tissues, or heavy cotton towels or old tshirts or something because massive ugly crying will be involved.
I’ll be on google today looking for words that might come close to describing some of the feelings and emotions I had while reading this series. I’m convinced I felt things that don’t have official words to adequately describe them. This author is so freaking amazing, she has a talent with putting words together to form an impossible story and this talent is unmatched in my opinion. I have never in all my years of reading cried so hard while reading 2 books back to back.
Without going into too much detail I will say that this, the first part of Emily and Noah’s story was amazing, the flow of this story was awesome because it didn’t stay put if that makes sense. It moves along quickly and smoothly yet allows these two to form a bond like no other, and you actually feel it strengthening as you read. Noah’s history makes it hard to form any kind of relationship and my heart broke for him. Emily had been done wrong in her past and this still haunts her daily. When these two meet you can truly feel the connection and I loved that. Emily is going to school to fulfill her dreams of becoming a teacher, and Noah is the lead singer of his band Rise Up and we get to watch when his band gets their big break. As time moves forward it becomes harder and harder for Noah and Emily to find the time to spend together, yet their love and commitment to each other never wavers.
The second part of their story…There are no words….
If you are reading this hoping I will go into some of the details of the rest of book 1 and then book 2 you might want to move on because I’m not saying one thing about what happened….You have to read this and get the full impact as I did. The twists and turns need to grab a hold and hang on just as they did while I was reading them. Noah and Emily’s story will stay with me forever, and when I finish every one of this authors books, something Im already close to doing I will look forward to reading them all over again!!

The Perception of Reality – Dual Boxset: Tragic Rockstar Romance by Shandi Boyes is just OMG, OMG. I always love Shandi’s books but this has to be my favourite so far. Shandi has just blown this story out of the water. It is a beautifully, tragic, sweet and sad tale that is so cleverly crafted. What can I say, other than well done Shandi, for writing this beautiful heartfelt piece of work. If I could give it more than five stars I would. It is truly a masterpiece that you will not only need a box of tissues but good stiff drink when you finish.
Brant by D.B. James is the second book in her Secrets series. I know that it seems that one can read it as a standalone and I have to admit I had not read the first book or the novella that was published before Brant and at times I was missing having not read them as I could not get some of the references so I would recommend that you start with book one and the novella! I will be reading book one next, have it already downloaded on my app. Brant is the story of … well, Brant Ashley and Tessa ‘Cherry’ Annabelle. The writer has given us a beautiful book with a great (dream) boyfriend and a spunky heroine that it was so easy to fall in love with! Brant is a true frat boy on the outside but a committed honourable and totally lovable inside … the little things he does for Tessa … oh my goodness … they make you weak in your knees … and yes, he is a liar and he has been lying for ten years and now, the time has come for him to come clean … and man, the story behind the story … it will blow your mind! Tessa is a survivor and one of the ‘most beautiful women, inside and outside, that Brant has ever met’! She has made herself a promise after surviving the nightmare in her ex-husbands hands and that promise does not allow her to fall in love … well, all the best promises are made to be broken so welcome everyone on the ride that those two take us on!

Enterrador: A Silent Sons Novella (Silent Sons MC) by Ambere Sabo takes a look at what made the Enterrador what he is and takes you back to the start of all his happiness, his pain, his sorrow, his revenge. It is a very short and very quick read but well worth the time. I have read the Silent Sons MC books and am now conflicted because I now know why the heartbreak and evil lives inside one man and the reason behind it but also love the other characters of the other books.
This story is full of love and joy, happiness and sorrow, loss and pain that leaves one man forever changed.
Ambere has once again written a great story and an amazing read which I highly recommend.

Enterrador is a dark romance novella by Ambere Sabo in her Silent Sons MC series and it should be read after the second book and personally I think that it is absolutely vital that one reads the first two books before tackling Enterrador. There might be some who say that well, it does not really matter if you have read the first two books but hi, if you plan to read the one that comes after Enterrador and you really want to understand who where what why, please, do read the first two books to start with! Enterrador is the story of a man who has descended into the bowels of hell … he works for the Diablo himself and his name means The Undertaker…Take everything you have in your imagination and you still would be missing some pieces … It might be sacrilege to say about an MC book that it broke my heart and the suffering that a human being can take before it breaks has no limits but it is so true … this is his story … what happens to a man whose light has been put out and who has nothing to live for but a revenge … who has so much power that the other search for a new light for him no matter what the cost of it is to that light and her family … The writer has an amazing way about her writing, it pulls you in and does not let you go and you are left craving … for more … for next … and so it is also with Enterrador … Ambere Sabo gave us his journey, his past, his darkness, his rise to power … and now, the present will unfold and none of us knows where the chips will fall …

Took a bit to get into this book, and to work out Lena’s some what tough exterior, but once I got past all that I did enjoy book. The one love Lena had that she knew would never hurt her was her art. She has been hurt several times in love and she wasn’t going to go there again. But then there is Amos her co-worker who she acknowledges that she does have feeling for. But instead of acting on them she constantly gives Amos the cold shoulder, so she doesn’t out herself in the position to be hurt again. Question is, will this animosity towards Amos last forever? Amos also has feelings for Lena but knows right now b=not to try and act on them. So, he is biding his time in the hope of sometime soon breaking the protective walls down that Lena has around her. Lena needs to work out what she wants if regarding her feelings for Amos. Will Amos get tired of waiting and move on? If this happens will Lena be hurt, or will she not care and carry on the way she has been? I hope you enjoy this book as I have.

Girl in the Woods by Lindsay Marie Miller is a prequel novella and takes you back to the start of where it all began. It is a very short and very quick read. This story is told by our main character, Tom’s point of view. Tom has lead a sheltered life being raised and taught by his grandfather. One night he finds a girl in the woods, now years later he finally meets this mysterious girl and his life is changed forever.
Lindsay has written a story that is sweet, mysterious and intriguing and I am really looking forward to seeing where this story goes.
