Dahlia will forever be one of my favorite characters from a series as amazing as this! 🙂 We are at the final book and man, what an amazing ending! So much has happened with the other 4 books, and so much was added to this one book alone. Half of her team went to another world to retrieve Creed’s brother, as well as tackle what they can. While they are there, the apocalypse happens on Earth. Dahlia struggles with the dragon in her heart, I will always remember this series, and might even binge listen again! 🙂

I went into this book not knowing what to expect. I picked it because the premise seemed promising, but then I never read anything quite like this – Historical Fiction with queens and kings and dowries. But I thought I would give it a chance. I am so glad I did. Within the first few chapters I was hooked. I loved everything about this – the small village that is always under attack, the prince who is being punished by his father and set up to fail. A girl who wants all her problems to go away but she has been promised for marriage. Add to that snails and a good sense of humor and this is definitely a must read. I did not want to put it down. I definitely hope that there is going to be a sequel to this because I truly grew attached to the characters. I truly recommend this to anyone who is looking for a fun read!

I am a sucker for a good young adult romance and historical romances and this one combines the best of both worlds! I have not read any books by this author before and was very happy with the way the story was written. I felt as though I was on the journey with the characters and not just reading words off of a page. I found myself not wanting to work but I was wanting to read and see what was going to happen next! I cannot wait to read more books by this author and tell all of my friends that read as much as I do to read it as well!

This book turned out to be so much embittered than I was expecting. Historical romances I find hard to really fully connect with the characters because their journeys feel so far removed from me and yet this one I had no issues with at all. I thought the main character was so well written. It was easy to tmsee things from her perspective and really become invested in what was happening with her. The story itself was well thought out and had such great detail to it. I really became absorbed in the storyline and enjoyed how the author had written it. This is my first unexpected read of the year and I am excited to discover more of her work.

This was such a sweet book. It was enjoyable, sweet, and whimsical. Ginny Myer goes to her hometown in Buckeye Falls, Ohio. Her father is having surgery, so she is going home to take care of him. She tries to ignore her ex-husband, Max Sanchez, but she has forgotten how sweet and caring he is. She decides to help out with the community event, the Christmas Jubilee. I loved this book so much!! Everything about it appealed to me from the inner dialogue to the quirky sayings to the overall story. One time she said fart in a jam jar, and I laughed so hard at that! Rhiannon Caddell or Rhia as she is known is the main character. She is to marry the crown prince of Wales, Emerys. She is quite determined to not like him and to make his life miserable – not unreasonable when you are forced to marry someone. She discovers that maybe he isn’t too bad overall. He might even be able to help her land and people with the money they owe and with the wild men who attack them. I loved every second of this book and highly recommend it!

The narrator/main character of this story gives me Sherlock Holmes/Nancy Drew vibes. She’s drawn to questions and puzzles and puts herself in situations she shouldn’t by sheer stubborn will. Jessa travels with her aunt to a town called Milburn after her aunt receives a letter requesting help from a friend. In Milburn, near the Crossing, the Dyott Mill seems to be smothered in secrets and mysteries and it will take everything Jessa has, including what she’s scared of to solve the investigation and hopefully save the life of a few people.

Fun, quick and easy read for me. It felt like a cozy mystery with a few ghosts thrown in, which makes total sense with Elinor being a Ghost Talker. Being a visual person, I enjoyed picturing each and every scene. This is the second part of a six-part novella, and I read it first for one reason only; I wanted to see if it truly stood alone. In my opinion, it does. I would even feel comfortable suggesting this book to my 16-year-old granddaughter.

I have grown to love this author. Her children’s stories are not only fun to read but they are interactive as well. The characters are full of adventure and that opens the door for our children to ask questions. What a fun story to read. I hope you enjoy this story as much as my kid did.

SAVAGE COLLISION
When Danika storms into Savage’s office I brace myself but this girl is afraid of nothing and I wasn’t sure who was more entertained me or Savage😉
There is not a scared hair on Danika’s head and as an investigative reporter that serves her well but it also gets her into a rather precarious position and thank all that is good that Savage and Gabe are around but for every action there’s a reaction and it adds a lot of suspense to the tension between Danika and Savage 😱nail biting , riveting and absolute brilliance !
Savage has issues and demons of his own as does Gabe but these 2 friends are lifers and watching them deal with their issues was a gift , a privelage and it made them human 🤗 I just love these guys and I know I shouldn’t have favorites but Savage you’re it for me 😉🥰
TORTURED SKYE
I don’t blame Skye for kissing Gabe ! If it wasn’t for Savage owning my heart I’d have been all over Gabe like a bad rash 🤭 but this can only get complicated 🙈bring it on 😉
Both Skye and Gabe have had some serious pain and loss and those scars stay behind but these 2 are pure perfection together and HOT 🥰🔥
I must say these 2 have had me on the edge of my seat and emotionally rather drained but it was oh so worth it 😉❣️📕

Storm and Landon ripped my heart out !
Storm is an exceptionally strong woman to have survived all that she has and not be swallowed by sadness and bitterness blows my mind !
Landon is hurting and dealing with things and I think that’s what helps him be more empathetic to Storm and he draws from himself to help get heal
When these 2 got together I was panicking , I thought this was going to be a recipe for disaster but these 2 are just pure perfection and they had be all hot and bothered most of the time but there were moments where I didn’t think I had any more tears left , this Hawke family is going to be the end of me yet 🥰
TAINTED SAINT
Caroline and Saint had me all over the place if I must be honest and I’m not sure if it’s because I’m so emotional over the Hawkes that I’m sensitive but I just want peace and serenity for these people and we’ve journeyed together now ,, they feel more like family than friends 🥰
Saint may be a BIG man but he’s a real old softy don’t let his size fool you and Caroline is all bark and no bite and these 2 are soooooo good together 🥰
STEELE RESOLVE
I met the Abellos a long time ago , like 5 books back and they’re not the type I would want to cross but everyone no matter how strong or mean or cruel they seem have a soft spot somewhere , we all have an Achilles, even the Abellos 😉 Luca show us the softer side of his family
This was a different read to the others to a degree , yes it did make me feel a little uncomfortable but that doesn’t take anything away from the pure brilliance of this series in actual fact it shows the diversity of the author and that right there already earns 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Byron managed the club and his “ affiliation “ with Luca had me on edge , there’s so much at risk and I was on the edge of my seat , yet again 😱😂
I didn’t want the series to end but the saying all good things come to an end and I may have got to the last page but the Hawkes will always be in my heart !

The Husbands is an exciting and unconventional romance. I have enjoyed other books by the author – predominantly fantasy – so it was interesting to read her work in a different genre. I particularly enjoyed that it’s very much a bisexual romance. Dorian and Augustine falling for each other doesn’t negate their feelings for their wives. I also enjoyed how much the story is driven by Magnolia and Aubrielle’s friendship! Dorian and Augustine’s complicated history, as well as the secrets they are keeping from each other, add layers of interest to the story. Can they find a way to make things work, or would they have been better off never seeing each other again as they’d originally planned? This is a great read, it gets five stars from me! If you’ve enjoyed other books by this author do give it a try – I enjoy the diverse queer relationships in her books and this story gives you that! And I’d recommend it to fans of LGBT+ romance.

This is an enjoyable and entertaining contemporary romance novel, which kept me captivated from page one. Although part of a series it can be read as a standalone story. The marriage-of-convenience Hollywood romance theme intrigued me from the start and the storyline had me hooked. Both Abi and Finn enter the reality TV show, ‘Married Blind’, for very different reasons, but they both agree that the first time they meet they will get married, and stay married for three months. For Abi it means taking a break from her regularly scheduled life in which she’s working three jobs, and in which she has no time or the opportunity to meet ‘Mr Right’. Meanwhile Finn’s reason is simple as his agent signs him up in order to rehab his image and salvage his career after his latest sexcapade. For Finn the role of a 24-hour loving husband on a reality TV show will be the hardest part he has to play. Abi definitely did not expect a reality TV husband to be ‘The One’, and Finn never thought that he would have the perfect woman chosen for him. But the problem with reality TV is that it’s difficult to know, what is for the show and what is for real. I loved Abi and Finn as they are both likeable and relatable in their own ways. Their chemistry really comes across in the narrative, and I was cheering them on hoping they would both get their HEA.

The village is on the verge of going to the Wildmen and being lost forever along with her husband who she realizes now that he is in danger, she loves! This book was a good read. I thoroughly enjoyed it. It’s a story about a peasant girl who is fiesty, has her own mind and bows down to no one. She is forced into a marriage with a Prince in the hopes of saving her village. Needless to say the marriage isn’t a happy one and things go wrong. They are losing the village and now the Prince has been kidnapped by a tribe called the Wildmen sworn enemies of the people of Lians. Now the Princess has to use everything ounce of courage and strength inside her, that the royals don’t like such as her not backing down from a fight or her sharp tongue to try and rescue the Prince which she now realises she does actually love and save her village. Can she save the Prince in time? Will her village be saved or destroyed? And how will the snail’s Rhiannon despises become something she truly adores?

This novella is a prequel to the Blood Fae series. It is the first work I have picked up from this author, and I am not disappointed. This is a quick, but compelling, read. The main character, Jessa, is relatable, and I had no problem falling into the world of the fae along with her. As Jessa struggles with coming to terms of who she really is and what she really wants, there is no shortage of mystery and intrigue, as well as vibrant storytelling. I absolutely will be looking into more work from this author. I highly recommend this short book! You will wish it were longer!

Practically Pagan An Alternative Guide To Magical Living by Maria DeBlassie is a book I wouldn’t have thought to pick up and read – I’m not a practicing magic type of person. However, this book was quite surprising and I made tons of connections within it to my own life. A couple of quotes from the book that spoke to me: “Look for the beauty in the little things too often overlooked in our rush to get from one place to the next.” “The Divine Feminine is the nurturing and creative energy within all of us, regardless of our gener – she represents healthy sexuality and relationships…” This book is about the five major parts of everyday magic… “radical self-care, routine as ritual, pleasure magic, synchronicity, and exploring the energies of the un/expected.” It talks about tuning into yourself and your connection withe universe instead of manipulating things to get desired outcomes… to trust the path you are on is the correct path. As an educator, wife, mother, woman, the idea of self care and self love is so important. So be okay to find the quiet time to focus and practice listening to your mind, body and spirit.

Holy Moly!! Talk about hot!! If I was able to give 10 stars…. I would in a heartbeat! This is a prequel to the Hawke Family Second Generation Series, and I definitely recommend reading! It’s a super quick read but let me tell you….it is an attention grabber from the first paragraph! I truly couldn’t put this book down…. the book had me thinking…. Christian Grey who! I’m not going to give away anything from the book, but dang…there’s a LOT of spicy! You want to talk about secrets, romance, plenty of emotion, and of course hot as hell spice! This was an extremely entertaining book and I sat down and read this in one sitting and was beyond prepared for the next book! And let’s talk about the way the author leaves us on a cliffhanger?! This is an enjoyable and entertaining YA historical romance which kept me happily turning the pages. Set in Wales, and sixteen year old Rhia Caddell lives in a small village, with her father who is the Mayor, and she works the land as a farmer. With the village in debt to the king, Rhia’s father agrees to an arranged marriage between her and the Prince of Wales. However, Rhia is not impressed by the “oh-so-dainty Prince of Wales”, after all, “what good is a man who can’t out-lift her or bring a belligerent steer to the ground.” Rhia sets out to either whoo or intimidate, whichever works best, her new husband in order to get him to erase the village’s debt. Unfortunately, the Prince has been told to sway his wife into giving over the gold in order to earn his father’s approval. For Rhia, the outcome is either to lose the only life and home she’s ever known to the king, or give up the fragile prince who she’s tried hard not to fall in love with, but she has. I loved the likeable and relatable characters in this romantic comedy, and especially liked the dynamic between the Prince and Rhia. The storyline flowed well and the plot had plenty going on in it to keep me hooked. The descriptive narrative and added historical details made the characters and the setting come to life, making me feel immersed in the story.

I just love how these characters are total opposite and not in the way we’re used to in a genre like this. The female isn’t your normal damsel in distress as she knows the lay of the land, literally. The fact that it’s not your normal “fairy tale” makes this an interesting story to keep up with. I don’t want to give too much away but it’s the best story I’ve read in a minute as it kept you guessing but in unexpected ways.

Oh my goodness! This is one of the cutest young adult stories I’ve read. Rhiannon is forced into marriage with the Crown Prince of Wales. Emerys is everything she doesn’t like. The adventure starts right from the beginning. She and her brother are collecting snails for soup. You’ll have to read to find out why. Between having to save her land, battle the Wild Men, stand up to the King and face Catrin, Rhi has her hands full…..and she might even have to admit she loves the king. The story has humor, drama, family issues, snails, mud, and romance. The characters are quirky. I love how the author teaches about caring for others under all that fun story. Rhi grows up in this story. She’s strong and grows even more. I really enjoyed the story and will be sharing it with a few others that enjoy these stories.

Read this as a stand alone and yes there were some moments where I was a bit confused. However that was only a handful of times, so truly this CAN be read as a standalone. However if you want to know the full in’s and outs – read the previous two books unlike me. This book was overall a good read and had a lot going on. Good vs evil, race issues & discrimination if you would ( gave me Hitler vibes or current day race issues you see in the news :/ ), betrayals, growth, Changes, lots of action, and literally so so much more. This book will suck you in and keep you hooked until you finish it. I hope to read the first two books some day soon so I can get the full background. This is my first book by this author and certainly will not be my last.!

This is the final book in the series, and I have eaten up every single one. Having the audio version available is such a treat! Cassandra King is a phenomenal narrator who does justice to the series. She really plays Dahlia well, making the character come alive in a new way.
As far as the story goes, Dahlia has remained true to her core self. Without giving in spoilers away, she has also evolved into something quite new. Her supporting roles and friends along the way have developed, as well as the world(s) around her. This is such a unique story line, and is such an easy decision to pick up and read. You definitely won’t regret it.
I do have to say even the villains/anti-heroes I find myself empathizing with, or at least seeing from their perspective. This is such a nice wrap up to an enthralling fantasy series I know without a doubt I will be reading again. It was also, just a little bit of a shock I was not expecting!!! While Dahlia isn’t the most lovable character, she certainly is inspiring, strong, and extremely loyal. I haven’t met a character or being quite like her yet, and it was such a pleasure to hear her story. Love, love, love this series.

The Hawke Family Complete Series is fantastic! If you enjoy steamy, spicy, action-packed drama, romance, and so much more this series is for you! The web this author weaves connecting everyone worked out beautifully. The Hawke Family is more than just blood relatives, its friends and coworkers/employees as well. This Collection consists of 6 books, each their own. Each one involves all characters throughout, but each focusing on a specific two. Written from the point of view of both main characters. I enjoy when authors do that because then you know what each character is thinking and what the author might’ve been thinking when writing them. Savage Collision – Savage & Danika Tortured Skye – Gabe & Skye Stone Sober – Nora & Stone Building Storm – Landon & Storm Tainted Saint – Caroline & Saint Steele Resolve – Byron & Luca I enjoy and appreciate each book in a different light. However there were two books that stuck out to me. Two books that rose to the top for me, which were Stone Sober & Tortured Skye. I loved both of them. I was pulled to Stone even before his novel, I wanted a deeper dive into his character, and man the author definitely did not disappoint. Everything he went through and dealt with reading and digesting it just made me love him even more. Yes, Stone is my favorite Hawke Family member. Stone and Skye were the most troubled Hawke siblings, however they were all broken souls, that gave me hope they would grow and mend themselves even “adopted” son/brother Gabe. These books are hard to put down, there’s just so much going on, that sometimes it could seem too much. However the balance the author gives throughout gives you time to digest even in thoses moment. Is there love? Yes Is there happiness? Yes Is there tragedy? Unfortunately Is there action? Absolutely Those are just a few reminders on why you should jump into this world. Am I going to say what happens in what books? Absolutely not, what’s the fun in that! It’s up to you to read THEM!
Savage Collision The first book in this series really sets the stage (plot wise) for the rest of the stories. It gets going really quick, and you literally have to hang on for the ride. Loved the build up and the twist the author threw at us! I also enjoyed the details we got to see about the businesses he was running. You get a deep respect really quick for the hero. Loved the chemistry between Savage and Dani!
Tortured Skye The second book is about Savage’s little sister Skye. Her romance starts out with that forbidden attraction and it is delicious! Gotta love that scenario! Of all the characters, Skye’s personality is my least favorite. With that said, I still enjoyed her love story, and definitely how good her man is for her. The plot line that was started in first book continues, so my advice is to read in order even if someone’s story draws you more.
Stone Sober Stone is the black sheep in the family, and I was concerned where his story would take us. His romantic interest is also off limits, and it heightens this storyline with a hint of danger. Just reading a few pages will have you worried about Nora, about Stone’s association with Dom, and impending doom for this family you have started to love.
Building Storm This was my favorite book in the series. Storm is everything I love in a female lead. Landon seeing her pain and determined to help her thru it was one of the most romantic scenarios that I’ve ever read. The way the author wrote their first meeting, second meeting, their love scenes at the beginning with Storm holding back, and the moment she finally lets go was just beautiful. Very realistic to the way grief works. I connected with this character in a way I didn’t expect. I was moved reading this story in a way I haven’t been in a long time.
Tainted Saint Novella length, but has so much that happens. Saint and Caroline’s story starts off at a masquerade party, and I just love it. They are freaking perfect together!
Steele Resolve Steele Resolve is an unexpected twist to the stories we have been reading. This one also has a forbidden romance with the two being involved with the mob and the Hawke family. It is a great plot and this story is the final installment of that plot. A great story to wrap it all up even though I am sad it is ending! Seriously, one of the best series I have ever read!

Night Hawke by Gwyn Mcnamee was a fantastic, spicy, quick introduction to book number 1 in the second generation Hawke family series. If you have read the first generation series about the Hawke family you read the books about the characters parents, which is an amazing series, and definitely a worthwhile read. Night Hawke is about Issac Hawke and a mystery girl that he meets in a bar and the instant lust and attraction that they experience. They agree to one night of fun, anonymous, with no names, and agree to leave each other in the morning. What could be better, right? I read this book in about an hour or so but it definitely has me on the hook waiting for book number one in this series to be released.

“Jack” and “Nolan” meet at a bar, like most people do. They both expect a fun time to help them forget their real responsibilities and roles in life. Turns out, that’s impossible. In this short story, you follow two very enticing characters through their 2 days together. I can’t wait to read the next book, which continues this short story. Read this if you like steamy scenes, amazing detail, and character development.

I was delightfully surprised by how much I loved this book, even more so than the first! A twist of romance in this paranormal delight made it easy for me to devour this book in a short time, despite the romance part moving a bit slower than the previous novel. I am so in love with how the author puts hard work into developing each and every character in his books, makes it SO much easier to feel like you are a part of the drama in the story. I was happy that this picked up shortly after the ending of the first book and also talks a bit about what happens between the novels. No doubt will I be reading the next book in the series!
