This is the first book I’ve read by the author. Curse of the Elf Lord is the second book in the Kingdom of the Elf Lords Series. I really loved this book and will be looking forward to more.
Émilien is trying to figure out what is going on. Why are there undead going missing? What does this have to do with Hel? Something isn’t right and he wants to figure it out. Defying Ella: A Close Proximity Rock Star Romance (True Platinum Series #4) by Morgana Bevan
This is the first book I’ve read by the author. Defying Ella is the fourth book in the True Platinum Series. It can be read as a standalone. Ella and Jared will leave you wanting more. The chemistry in the book is so life like its amazing.
Jared is an up and coming rockstar. He puts on a mask to keep everyone at arms length. Then he meets Ella and she changes things. Then he’s snowed in a cabin with her. Can he go back to being the bad boy or will his need for Ella win out? The quote I chose for Jared is: “Your patience is endless. I don’t know how you kept from taking my head off when we first got snowed-in here. I wasn’t exactly the most pleasant person to be around in those first few days.”
Ella goes to the Alps to get away from Jared. She doesn’t want him to see how mad he’s driving her. Being snowed in doesn’t help her case any. She goes from wanting to kill him to wanting to be honest with himself. The quote I chose for Ella is: “I don’t care. You don’t set foot in her flat. I’m going to be a regular feature at her Saturday lunch date with the girls, I don’t want to so much as sniff out your cologne. Do I make myself clear? You live your life, I’ll live mine. This is the first book I’ve read by the author. More Text Than Sex is a fantastic read. I didn’t want it to end and I sure as heck didn’t want to put it down. The author knows how to wow the readers.
Annie used to be a musician and now she markets. She loves what she does. Her friend on the other hand doesn’t like what they are about to do. Annie knows that in order to pull this off they need the other person. The quote I chose for Annie is: “We got the contest greenlit. We got twenty percent more budget than we asked for. And we’re getting a doco produced. We’ve had a good day. Best day we’ve had here since we got little Sophie’s song on Neighbours.”
Robbie wants to work with Annie and Cat. He knows the latter doesn’t like him, but this is the best he can do. He wants to produce Annie and get her back to singing. Yesterday’s Over: Philly Heat Series #3 by Becky Flade
This isn’t the first book I’ve read by the author. Yesterday’s Over is the third book in the Philly Heat Series. The book had me hanging by a thread. The book contains two of my favorite things. Crime and medical people.
Trudy is the corner for the police department. When a building blew up they found bones. She has to call in for help and there she finds Ben. She finds herself in some trouble as they figure out what happened to the people. The quote I chose for Trudy is: “Thank you. Bistro Romano was a good choice. They’ve an excellent wine cellar. That painting? It’s local artist S.S. Welling; an amazing talent. She paints watercolor still lifes so vibrantly they look like photos. I have a smaller, less expensive print in my loft. Ben is a professor and loves what he does. When he gets the call about the police finding bones he jumps on it. He finds that Trudy, the medical examiner, is hard to keep off his mind. He wants to see if they have more in common. The Gauntlet: The Soppranaturale Series #1 by Ashley Pagano
This is the first book I’ve read by the author. This book was a fast read and I didn’t want to put it down. I also didn’t want it to end. The Gauntlet is the first book in The Soppranaturale Series. This does leave on a bit of a cliffhanger.
Link thought he was the only Fae alive. Sure there’s supposed to be another one, but he hasn’t met her. When she walks into the hotel all things go out the window. He breaks her into their world and sees what they can do together. The quote I chose for Link is: “She may already have a room.”
Ommily is the other Fae that exists. She comes to the hotel with her human fiance. She’s not sure if this will be a dead end like the others. Then she meets Link and finds that she’s falling for him. This isn’t the first book I’ve read by the author. The author knows how to keep me coming back. So far I’ve read several books by the author and I really can’t choose my favorite. So far The Freemasons Series is good. The Victor is the first book in The Freemasons Series.
Cole is trying to move on with his life. He buried his father without his wife by his side. In fact, they haven’t been in the same house in six months. So when she wants a divorce he says on one condition. The quote I chose for Cole is: “I mean, the time to come and see me would’ve been when I needed to have my wife by my side. The day I buried my father.”
Ava is going to ask Cole for a divorce, but she isn’t expecting him to say no. She knows it’s time to move on, but what if she doesn’t really want to let go. Confess by Colleen Hoover is an easy four-star read. My heart basically broke from the first chapter for Auburn and all that she had to encounter at such a young age. The way the story weaves the lives of Auburn, Adam, Owen, and the remaining characters was done exceptionally well. I really liked Emory and how feisty and full of spit and vinegar she was.
Watching the tug and pull that Auburn has where each male character is concerned was realistic but also stressful for her as a person. It’s never easy having to decide what is best for the people in your life and what sacrifices you may have to make. The pain that Owen experiences with the nonexistent relationship him and his father has can be understood by anybody with the same demons his dad has.
The character of Trey is just a manipulative, control freak, piece of garbage. I enjoyed seeing how his character arc was resolved. If you enjoy a story with Angst, tearjerker moments, and selflessness where love is concerned than you will enjoy the story as much as I did.
Operation Pinpoint (Space Force Rejects #1) by Landra Graf
This is the first book I’ve read by the author. Operation Pinpoint is the first book in the Space Force Rejects Series. This book is a great read and I loved every minute of it.
Ravenna is a Space Force employee. Her friend and lover goes missing along with the ship. She wants in on the mission to find said ship and she gets her way. Only problem is when they find the ship, her lover is dead. The quote I chose for Ravenna is: “You’d do better to keep me as your friend versus making me an enemy. My method is the only approach for this trip, especially if you want your freedom.”
Dravos isn’t exactly human. He’s a different species and he finds his mate in Ravenna. He doesn’t trust anyone. When he finds that maybe he can trust them they betray him and his mate. The quote I chose for Dravos is: “Answering you doesn’t ascertain my trustworthiness. If anything, someone willing to openly run their mouth should be considered more dangerous. They will weave tales like a druff spider, spinning their webs in the hopes of mesmerizing you enough to stay still before they strike.”

This isn’t the first book I’ve read by the author. The author sure knows how to keep readers coming back to her. I absolutely loved this book. Enemies to lovers has always been a favorite of mine. The Hunter is the second book in The Freemasons Series.
Dominic is the leader of the Freemasons and he’s trying to figure out why Gemma wants to take down Freemasons. Then he finds her at a party she wasn’t invited to. How will things work out for him when he finds himself falling for her? The quote I chose for Dominic is: “Doesn’t matter what you want, Gemma Hughes. You’re coming with me. End of story.”
Gemma goes to the party for one thing and one thing only. Take down the Freemasons. She knows she might lose her job over this, but it’s a risk worth taking. Then she runs into the one person she didn’t want to see. The quote I chose for Gemma is: “Well, it seems awfully convenient you happen to have a key to a hotel room. This isn’t the first book I’ve read by the author. Huntress is a great book. Either it was a fast paced book or I was reading fast. I didn’t want this to end. The author sure knows how to keep a reader happy. This book has a bit of everything that you would normally need a couple books for.
Dior is the nickname of someone who is going to get revenge on the Wolves. Not a smart move, but she’s doing it for her family. For the brother she never got to meet. For the uncle that was killed. She doesn’t need a knife or gun to get her revenge. Writing is her weapon and she’s going to make them pay. The quote I chose for Dior is: “Nah, I don’t feel good singing with anyone else. It’s not the same; I miss Todd and the others.”
This is the first book I’ve read by the author. River Witch had me hooked from the beginning and I didn’t want it to end. The characters were life-like and it really felt like I was standing in the same place as them.
Aaron has let one person down. He doesn’t want to do that to Hester. Then when he goes home he finds that he’s to blame. The quote I chose for Aaron is: “Your faith in me was wrong. This is the first book I’ve read by the author. This book kept me entertained. I absolutely loved this book and will be looking forward to the next one. Into the Light is the third book in the Moon Harbor Series. It can be read as a standalone.
Ellie has been crushing on her brother’s best friend for years. She’s afraid that he still sees her as a kid sister. Then she confesses her feelings for him. Then he gets into some trouble. This isn’t the first book I’ve read by the author. The author sure knows how to get your attention. Grave Digger Academy is an amazing read. I can’t wait for the next book.

This is another great read by the author. The Vardoger Boy is the second book in the Forerunner Series. We get to see characters from book 1. Highly recommended!

This isn’t the first book I’ve read by the author. The Lonely Hearts of San Sity is a fantastic read. Enemies to lovers is a great way for romance to happen.
Jules is in San Sity for a new reality show. She’s holding auditions for the show. When she gets to town everyone seems friendly. Now she’s got to convince one Mitchel to join the show. The quote I chose for Jules is: “Jesus. I hope we don’t have to deal with this every minute.”

Dinosaur Friends: 2 books in 1: A Present for the Volcano and Saving Conifer’s Eggs by Lois Wickstrom
These aren’t the first books I’ve read by the author. The author has created several kids books and each is better than the last. My daughter absolutely loved these books.
Saving Conifer’s Eggs A fire breaks out and Spike tries to get Conifer away. Conifer is worried about her nest. She has two arms and three eggs. The quote I chose for Conifer is: “Push the tree.”
A Present for the Volcano A volcano is about to erupt. Conifer and Spike are too close to it. Spike decides to make it a necklace. After they’re done the necklace keeps the lava away from them. The quote I chose for Conifer is: “Now we’re safe.”
