By K.L. Montgomery
5 out of 5 stars

I loved reading the story Stage Mom (Romance in Rehoboth Book 6) by K.L. Montgomery. It is a story that pulled me in from the beginning and didn’t let me go until the final page. I loved reading about the characters of Larissa Emerson and Mateo Flores. Larissa is a strong, independent woman. She has a special needs daughter who she loves and will always fight that she is treated like any other girl. This includes when her daughter wants to be in a beauty pageant. Mateo is heading up the Little Miss Rehoboth Pageant. He wants to make sure that he doesn’t screw it up. He also finds himself deeply attracted to Larissa. After what has happened in the past Larissa doesn’t feel that she needs to find another man. Then she meets Mateo. These two have an attraction to each other. Will Larissa give Mateo a chance at her heart? What does the future hold for them? Read this book to find out. I loved how Larissa’s character is not afraid to say what she means. I grew to care about what happened to Larissa and Mateo with each chapter that I read. The story also had my emotions going up and down while reading. There are moments when I would laugh and others that touched my heart. This is a book that I would highly recommend reading.

By: K.L. Montgomery
5 out of 5 stars

The story Wedding War (Romance in Rehoboth Book 5) by K.L. Montgomery is a wonderful romantic comedy. It is a story that pulled me in from the very beginning and didn’t let me go until the final page. I loved reading about the characters of Jason Friday and Hannah Robinson. Jason is intelligent, funny, charming, and handsome. Hannah is smart and beautiful. Both of their family’s business has been open for a long time. Both businesses have a good reputation helping out brides and grooms. There has also been a feud between their families for a very long time. Hannah and Jason have found out that Uber Brides are coming to Rehoboth Beach. Knowing that the days of their family’s business may be numbered Jason and Hannah band together. There is an attraction growing between these two. Will they be able to work together? Will they save their business? Will they take a chance and give in to the feelings they have for one another? Read this book to find out. This is such an entertaining book to read. There are moments that I was smiling and laughing out loud. I grew to care about the characters of Jason and Hannah with each chapter that I read. I also enjoyed reading about how Hannah and Jason interacted/bantered back and forth with each other. There are also characters in the book that have been brought forward from the previous books. It is wonderful to read about them again. This is a wonderful book with amazing and unforgettable characters. Highly recommended.

Life’s a Witch by Carrie Pulkinen was a 3 star read.
Crimson is a witch, but every time she tries to do a spell it backfires, she’s now in trouble with the witches council and the high priestess has it out for her, so she has a month to sort out her magic before she loses it.
Mike is a recovering demon but he still has to pay a debt to Satan every month, when he’s late on his debt Satan gives him the opportunity to get free and clear but can a mistake he makes be forgiven?
I really like Mike and Crimson and their interactions in this book are what kept me interested, but in all the book was for from my favourite. I would recommend you read the book for yourself and see what you think.

Southern Promises: The Complete Series (A Contemporary Romance Standalone Box Set) by K.G. Fletcher – Review by Angela Shirley

Southern Promises: The Complete Series (A Contemporary Romance Standalone Box Set)Southern Promises: The Complete Series by K.G. Fletcher
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Southern Promises: The Complete Series is a lovely collections of feel goods stories which are fully of great characters and brilliant writing.

The first story Georgia Clay is a heart warming story of lost loves and can you have second chance on life. The story follows Katie a hard working real estate agent and Clay a songwriter from Nashville and a love and attraction that truly never thought that they would meet again until a ten year reunion offers love another chance.
This story is lovely and such great characters who you want to route for, the story can be read as a standalone but this starts the great collection with a bang and you delve into this world and you don;t want to let go.

The second book in this series, Georgia on my mind is a story of chance meeting and instant attraction. This solitary follows Katie’s brother who was introduced within the first book. He was a up and coming Investment Banker but with an indiscretion has caused him to lose everything, his career, reputation and is hiding at Katie’s house.
He then decides to go out and that’s were he meets her Marilyn Monroe. Gia has her struggles and as an independent woman she does not need his help but this handsome guy is starting to seep into her heart. This is a great feel good story like them all and I loved the sassy attitude of the character Gia.

The third book is Georgia Pine and whatever happens to the Head Cheerleader. From the outside Jessica’s life is the standard everyone ones to emulate but deep down there are cracks and she is falling into heartache. Until Tim comes along with his rough and nonsense attitude but when he sees this broken smart woman he decides he needs to be involved in her world.
This story is about rebirth for both characters and I loved this story the most, although the other stories where brilliant in their own right I felt more drawn to this story.

If you enjoy feel good, heart warming stories with brilliant characters and a well written story I recommend this collection of lovely books. Although they are a set of three you could read them as standalone stories and they would transfer really well but in all honesty you would want to read them straight like did. This is the first books I have read by this author and will not be the last.

All The Wrong ReasonsAll The Wrong Reasons by Erin Bevan
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

All The Wrong Reasons is the first in the Serendipity Falls series by Erin Bevan. If you are a fan of sweet romances, or just need a nice, light hearted, easy read then I would definitely recommend this story.
Alex and Max are best friends. They have a wonderful relationship which is easy to feel through the writing. When Alex goes on a night out she hooks up with a guy, hoping to help her move on from her last relationship. Waking up the next day she soon regrets her choice and calls on her best friend to rescue her.
A few weeks later Alex finds out she is pregnant, as a teacher in a christian school she knows that the job she loves is now in jeopardy.
Max has an obvious solution, to get married to him.
The story follows Alex and Max as they negotiate new feelings, and realise that their friendship alone might not be enough to see them through this.
I love the way Max treats Alex. It seems to me that he is very much a gentleman, despite his reputation as a ladies man.
This is my first book by this author, but I will definitely look out for others in the future

Shift Happens is the 2nd book in the New Orleans Nocturnes saga by Carrie Pulkinen. This romantic comedy is a fantastic read. At the end of book 1 Sophie is bitten by what she thinks is a big dog, for the professional dog walker this is a new experience for her as animals normally love her. Elsewhere in the French Quarter the werewolf pack are convinced that a witch is out to get them, they have lost one of their own and they are unable to control their shifts. As Sophie smells like a witch, and she is unregistered with the local coven, they immediately think it is her. Queue the giant handsome werewolf detective, Trace is determined to find the culprit and his friend no matter what it takes even if includes an unauthorised biting. I really enjoyed this novel, its fun and fast paced and I love the way that the author is linking them together. Looking forward to starting book 3.

Enemies of DovesEnemies of Doves by Shanessa Gluhm
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Wow! I have chills at the end of this book. The drama that this author brought to pages gave me tears. I can not believe the twisty path this has taken. It is interesting how at the beginning of the book I didn’t like Joel. Then it became Clancy. But now I can see the bond they share as more of the story moves along. A lifetime of struggles. They are so intertwined. The happy times the sad times and the twisted times. I know that sometimes life stinks but for these boys it is a pile of manure. They author did a great job of making me *feel* for the characters.

I am NOT a fan of stories going back and forth in time. So I had my hackles raised from the beginning. I did not care for it at times but in the end it all rolls along perfectly and I can see why the author did this.

I really ended up loving this story and the characters (although I’m heartbroken about them). It’s a wondrous ride filled with mystery, drama and suspense. I highly recommend this book!

Sweet Salvation (The Protectors, #3)Sweet Salvation by Toya Richardson
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Sweet Salvation by Toya Richardson a four-star read you will find hope in. This is number three in the Protectors series and it could be read as stand-alone as I read it that way not realising it was number three in the series but I will be going back to pick the other up as I do wonder if I would have enjoyed it more if I had read them in order. This is an adventure that will keep you hooked, there is something popping up every other page, the anticipation is just kept at a great level and the romance brings a nice softness to the story. Overall I was impressed with the story, just felt like it missed a couple of little bits.

Southern Promises: The complete series by K.G. Fletcher a thrilling series that will wrap you up in an emotional blanket and keep you hooked. All thee of these stories contain something special on their own but as a series they just build into something special.
Georgia a read that will take you away. This tells us the lovely story of Clay and Katie and ohh what a story, a story of how two seemingly opposite people attract. Who knew a ten-year reunion could bring such a bang, this was a sweet story with some great moments that will suck you in and spit you out an emotional wreck later. If you like sweet and romantic, then this series will be one for you.
Georgia on my Mind a read that will play in your dreams on repeat. Hartford what can I say about you, he is most certainly a character that will cause you drama. Heads butt and hearts collide in this story filled with passion. This is becoming a series you won’t want to miss.
Georgia Pine a read that will make you pine. All the Wrong Reasons by Erin Bevan a fantastic four-star read. This is number one in the Serendipity Falls series, and it shows great promise for a fantastic series. I enjoyed the authors way with words and was glad I picked up this new to me author as I am sure I will enjoy the rest of their works. Alexandra Mills and Max Buchanan are just such a great pair, they really are best friends, and I know they say you should marry your best friend, but should you really? Well you need to read this to find out. This romantic, but it’s also funny and has some really touching moments.

Lucifer’s Emblem: A Paranormal Academy Novel (Celestial Academy Book 1) by Sarah Biglow & Molly Zenk – Review by Angela Hayes

Lucifer's Emblem (Celestial Academy, #1)Lucifer’s Emblem by Sarah Biglow
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Lucifer’s Emblem is the first book in the new Celestial Academy series by Sarah Biglow and Molly Zenk. This is definitely my favourite of their books, so far- and I can’t wait to get my hands on the rest of the series. It is a fantastic YA series with angels- Fallen and Archangels- as well as adventure, mystery, action, suspense, friendship, discoveries, danger, and so much more.
Zuri is the eighteen year-old daughter of Lucifer, the Ruler of Hell, and has been groomed to take over the kingdom one day. Here we discover that there is a lot more to Lucifer than we’ve been ‘told’. (Which is an intriguing take on the whole ‘Lucifer’ story). Anyway, Lucifer’s Emblem is their family heirloom and their only defence against the Archangels- so when it disappears Zuri is determined to hunt it down and return it to hell. She tracks the Emblem to the Celestial Academy, and in order to gain access there she assumes a new identity- so she can continue her search. She is accepted, and then discovers that her new roommate is none other than Archangel Michael’s daughter, Miryam. This should be interesting. As things evolve, she and Miryam begin to form a bond- but can Zuri really trust her? She soon discovers that there is a lot more to the emblem than she knew, and now there is so much more at stake- the missing emblem is just the beginning.
This is an exciting and very original story and I loved following along on the adventure! Book two can’t come soon enough!!!

Thank you, Sarah Biglow and Molly Zenk!

Rise (The Larussio Legacy Book 2) by Via Mari

The saga continues, we get to know Giovanni and Serena better and watch their relationship develop, grow and change from beginning to end.

There are so many things that happen in the book, I’m not even sure where to start with my thoughts and feelings.

I found myself getting very frustrated with Serena and thinking she needed to be throttled. I couldn’t believe she pulled what she did without out thinking it through. It could have ended up so much worse then it did.

Giovanni is understandably a over cautious control freak. He is the future of the Larussio family and that reason alone puts a huge target on himself and the people he cares about, but there is no way he could have seen all of that coming his way.

I loved getting to see Katerina and Chase even though it was a fairly brief appearance. They still are my favorite of the couples, though Giovanni and Serena have a chance depending on what happens in the next book.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Throwback by Zeia Jameson was a great 5 star read.

We start by getting clips of Livy and Jeremy’s childhood up to an adult. They both had different but heartbreaking childhoods. Livy was counting the days until she was 18 so she could get out and away from her mom. Jeremy lost his dad to a drunk driver when he was little and wanted to make his mom proud.

These two end up meeting at the bar Livy worked at and they had an instant connection. As they start dating they have to learn to drop their walls and learn to trust each other. They also have some challenging twists and turns.

Can these two have a HEA?

There is so much more to this great read that I don’t want to give away. This author has done a great job of pulling me in with her writing and I couldn’t put it down. Great debut novel! I loved the characters, my emotions were up and down at times with them. There are some scenes that I would suggest 18+ readers only. I am excited to read more from this author. 1-click and get started today.

Are you looking for a hot and steamy, romantic suspense thrill ride full of alpha male mafia men, sexy as sin bodyguards, and tons of action? Via Mari delivers all of this and more in Rise, book 2 in the Larussio Legacy series. I highly recommend you read the first book in this series before starting this one. Honestly, just go ahead and start with the Prestian series, continue to the Torzial Affair series, and throw in the Billionaire Bodyguards while you’re at it. They all tie in together in some way and give you a full complete picture of all the characters and their lives. Don’t get me wrong though. Each series is its own. It is just my recommendation that you read them all because they are all fantastic!

Every single one of her books has been outstanding and Rise does not disappoint! The action begins in chapter one and does not stop! There are twists and turns you will not see coming. And the sexy bits are oh…so…steamy! I’m an Italian. Where can I find myself A Gio? Rise will leave you wanting more and I am looking forward to the next book in the series!

Shift Happens is the second book in Carrie Pulkinen’s New Orleans Nocturnes series. I couldn’t wait to read this book after reading the first in the series and I wasn’t disappointed. You will find yourself fall in love with the heroine of this story Sophie. She’s part of a witch line but is having troubling accessing her powers. To add to that stress, she is bitten by a wolf and then is accused of crimes against the wolfs pack. Then you have Trace the hot alpha type wolf who bit Sophie, he’s just trying to find out who cursed his pack. Will Sophie clear her name before the next full moon? Can they keep their hands to themselves even with the attraction? I loved this book and can genuinely say I was laughing out loud quite a bit, just an amazing book. I wish I could give this story so much more than 5 stars. This is not for those under 18. Due to adult content.

This is the beginning of Serena and Giovanni s story. Serena Moretti as well as her family have suffered at the hands of the Larussio Family. She watches as her family is torn apart. Serena has grown up fearing them. Now she can’t seem to get past her feelings for Giovanni.
Giovanni will soon become the Don of the powerful crime family in Italy. He is not only powerful, he is extremely good looking. He can have any woman he wants and dump her the very next morning. He will stop on nothing to kill those who get in his way. Everything is about to change for him as well as the girl that has captured his heart. How will this couple survive the death threats and constant attacks on both of them, and their families.

Via Mari has continued to keep your heart pounding throughout this romantic action novel. This book starts on page one, with you drawn into the book. There is no putting it down. The action and bedroom scenes are enough to keep you reading. I love the characters in her book, and their strong will to survive. I won’t give any spoilers for this book. Even though I really want to. So take this book, wine and tissue to the reading corner. You will be there for a while. Via Mari PLEASE finish the next book, I NEED More!

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

The first section of this book is a nice romantic story. Seeing their past and how they got together working toward their happily ever after. The second half is where things get shaken up in their life. I sat here many times just shaking my head. At what he does and what she does. Totally frustrating. But there is a genius way for them to try to heal so they can fall in love again. The question is will it work?

This isn’t my first book by this author. I usually LOVE her work. This one I just struggled. It wasn’t the characters (I enjoyed them) it was the story telling. The first half it seemed there was too much time spent in their heads and I became easily distracted. The prologue is what kept me turning those pages (that was a great idea). The second half easily kept my interest because I was as invested as the couple was wondering “who”and “can it work”. It’s a lovely story and I did wish for their happiness. I do recommend this story because it does have a good message, its twists and turns and the characters are amazing.

This is a sweet romance with realistic characters. People are flawed, have pasts, and are not perfect but are trying to do the best they can do. I am always sweet on a friends to lovers romance. What could be better than a perfect ending to a lifelong friendship. This story is well written and I enjoyed the characters of Alex and Max and wanted to see both of them get a happy ending. Shift Happens (New Orleans Nocturnes, #2)Shift Happens by Carrie Pulkinen
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Shift Happens is book two of the New Orleans Nocturnes. It can definitely be read as a stand alone story, but in my opinion it’s more enjoyable if you have read book one. I like the familiarity of knowing the characters and already having the scene set for me.
Book two follows Sophie. Sophie is desperate to release her inner witch. It runs in her family, and she’s been told more than once that she has the power too.
By day Sophie is a dog walker, she loves animals and she daydreams about having a hunky werewolf boyfriend. What she didn’t dream about was being bitten by one and then accused of crimes she didn’t commit.
Wolf shifter Trace bites Sophie, she’s the main suspect when a member of his pack goes missing and he needs to keep tabs on her.
The chemistry between Sophie and Trace grows, and when they finally hook up it’s all pretty hot! But they still have a mystery to solve and a pack member to hunt down.
Shift Happens is a funny, steamy, paranormal romance. It’s much more light hearted than similar stories in this genre making it an enjoyable and easy read.

This is not my first book by this author but it is my favorite yet. It is a paranormal romance story that I had a hard time putting down once I started it. I was pulled right into the story by the characters. I found that I could easily connect to them. They made the story feel real. The story is about an emblem that was stolen that must be found before it unleashes Armageddon. There is only one person’s blood who can stop it, Zuri’s but will she learn to trust Miryam before it is too late? I really enjoyed this story and the mystery it brought. Watching their bond grow throughout the story was great and the connections they made with each other. I highly recommend reading about these Fallen and Archangels and if they find the emblem before it is too late

Shift Happens: A Paranormal Romantic Comedy is the second book in the New Orleans Nocturnes series by Carrie Pulkinen. Sophie Burroughs desperately wants to be a witch like her grandmother was. She tries so hard to cast spells but just can’t. Sophie jokes with her friend that maybe she should try a spell naked, which I found hilarious. All other supes swears she smells like a witch, but it just doesn’t seem to be happening for her. When Trace Thibodeaux, a werewolf, bites Sophie she has to prove her innocence against his pack to save herself from becoming a werewolf. Trace is trying to prove that Sophie is the one who cursed his pack, but romance starts to get in the way. This book was full of humor and romance, just the perfect blend to make a wonderful story.

This is book 2 in the New Orleans Nocturnes series. This follows Janes best friend Sophie.

Sophie is a witch, or so she is lead to believe however she has no magical powers. One night at a party she is bite by what she thinks is a dog. However things arent as they seem.

Trace is part of a werewolf pack and he has been given the task to find the witch responsible for his missing pack member and for causing the rest of the pack to shift at random moments.
All evidence points to a unregistered witch and that leads him to Sophie. However things get complicated not only by the fact he bit her but also by the fact of their strong connection.

Can they work together to solve this mystery? Can they be together or will accusations force them apart.

Its a great adventure from the first page.
