Let me preface this with saying that I am surprised that I gave this 4 stars. I’m an avid smut reader and this was the opposite. This was a pure romance. It was a spiritual romance. It was a book I didn’t know I needed to read in a time that I needed it…especially in the state our world is in.

Another great story by the author, great character and world building! Add in suspense, action, romance and a very well written story that keeps you hooked all the way to the end. I really appreciate that the author connects the characters from prior books in the series. When a dead body is found, Sheriff Hamilton decides to cut his personal time of reflection short to search for the murderer. Soon Sheriff Hamilton finds that his case is matching up with FBI agent Liza Bartholomew’s case. What will come next? I highly recommend reading this series in order. I hope you are enjoying these books as much as I have!

Almost and Forever by Angela K. Parker is an emotional, heartfelt story about loss. love and healing. In this story, we follow Hope and Adam. These two have wonderful chemistry. Watching Hope give her all to help Adam was heartwarming and also heartbreaking. The author really pulls you in and you feel every emotion. This story made me cry more times than I care to admit. I fell in love with Hope and Adam and wanted the best for them, whatever that may be. This is such a good romance. It is very hard to put down.

This is one author I never hesitate to pick up a book from. Her work is always so well done and this book is no exception. For me, this was all about the characters and their connection. It was so strong and could be felt on each and every page. Although this is an intense story it is one that you can easily become invested in. This book is the fourth in the series, however it can be read as a standalone. My recommendation would definitely be to read them all as they are so good and it is worth the time investment. This book was a brilliant addition to the series and has just made me want to read more.

I have not read the other novels in this series, but I plan to. I loved the characters and the progression of the relationship. Even more, I loved the suspense and storyline. I am not one to read or watch suspense bodies of work, but the times when I do, I get hooked.
The passing of a loved one is hard. But to lose them so suddenly and through the act of murder, my heart went out to Hannah.
The entire time reading, I did not want to put the novel down. I just wanted to read.With the twists and turns, I did not know which direction the story was going to go in. Now I am going to read the other books.

We are back in the Eider police department, this time following the story of Sheriff Shane Hamilton following his “just barely” win of the election. Unfortunately, FBI agent Liza Bartholomew appears in that same time frame on a tip that a scam artist she has been pursuing for years has been spotted there. Liza has a history with Eider, and coming back was never in her plan. With a thirst for vengeance on behalf of the victims and racing to protect her career, Liza refuses to let the town sheriff hold her back, no matter what he may stir in her. When they realize their cases are connected, they have to decide to work together, in spite of their feelings on relationships and their chemistry, as well as the high stress cases and Liza ending up back in Eider.
Really have enjoyed the Eider PD series, the characters are likeable, the suspense is palpable, the writing is compelling and keeps you flipping the pages. There’s romance, danger, trauma, some steam, bad guys and the good ones who pursue them.

This book drew me in with the blurb that the author wrote about it. I want to tell you, that I was not disappointed. The MC’s are amazingly well written and you can actually visualize everything that the author describes as the settings in the book. The situations that the characters find themselves in are not typical but make complete sense in the book. You know how sometimes things happen and you just can’t imagine it any other way. That is this book. The series of events in the plot are amazing and once you read it, you realize that yep that needed to happen. The character growth is great and that is normally what really draws me into a book but this book it was the plot itself that kept me turning the pages. It is a really good read that had me flipping pages as quickly as I could because I was so engrossed in the storyline. I am actually having a hard time writing this review because I want to spill all the beans about the story but I don’t want to give anything away. That is how you now this book is really, really good. There are many twists and turns. Just when you thin you have everything figured out, boom, n something happens and all y0ur thoughts are gone. Novella This is the prequel and gives the backstory for Riley and Lynette who are already together in book one of The Talisman Series. The cover is so Riley, his cockiness just shows through. The story is a modern day take on Celtic warriors who each have a fated talisman that compliments their powers. It was great to meet all the characters that each have a book dedicated to them. Really looking forward to diving into this series. Highly recommend.

This is a beautiful story. I really loved the characters, and the way the story is written really makes you slow down and adsorb what’s going on in the story around you. It was a bit of a slower read, but i really enjoyed all of the details the author put into it. It’s well written and thought out. Highly recommend.

Tracker is the seventh book in The Talisman series by Tam DeRudder Jackson. As with the rest of the series, this is another steamy paranormal romance with fated mates, action, adventure, danger, destiny, drama, intrigue, the supernatural, druids, tension, suspense, creative world building, magic, Celtic mythology, warriors, good vs evil, history, and much more. Even though this is the seventh book in the series, it serves as a prequel to the series- so it can be read as a standalone if you wanted. But saying that, there is plenty of engrossing reading contained in the previous books, which you will probably want to know about- especially if you love paranormal romance, good vs evil, Celtic mythology, warriors, shamans, fate, and adventure. Here we get Riley and Lynnette’s story. And what a tale they have to tell. Riley finally finds his talisman, only to find that there is a sinister force bent on keeping them apart, to snatch away their chance of fulfilling their destiny. This is the third book of the North Fork Series. After reading the second book (which I really enjoyed) I went back to read the first book which is Fire Me Up. I know I didn’t have to, to understand this but the author tells such a good story. I just had to pick up the others’ stories from her. This one was a quick cute read with some steamy scenes you’ll love and a few twists you don’t expect but will enjoy. Wynter and Caleb even though they come from different backgrounds, I think they are perfect for each other and are soooo adorable together. Melt My Heart is so relatable. If you throw money out the window and focus on the characters. Most people have been so hurt in a relationship that their trust is broken and their hearts are sealed. The author not only gives us one character like that but two. Brought together by a stray dog these two may very well be the broken pieces to mend one another. However there’s a task that needs to be completed that makes it interesting. Caleb is a local guy, former Navy Seal, and comes from a wealthy family with a lucrative business. He knows that most women see dollar signs and not him. At the same time they aren’t the ones who broke him. It was a girl he was in the service with who was severely injured and felt unlovable, not worth it. He never expected a beauty to fall into his lap, let alone be given a task by his godfather’s father to help her complete. Wynter is starting over. Her life was destroyed In Manhattan by a man no less. She doesn’t want love, she just wants a career. Goals she set out for herself when in college. Caleb and this task were never in the cards. So what happens when those items start to change her? These two go on an adventure of mending one another while trying to deliver a message. Easier said than done. But like I said at the onset, very relatable. This is my first book in this series and by this author I’ve read. I look forward to digging more into both. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and I’m sure there’s more where this one came from.

It’s not too long of a read, but it’s not too short where it feels rushed. Even though the character relationship develops a little quick, it didn’t feel weird while reading it!

Wynter and Caleb come from very different backgrounds – Wynter used to hob-knob with the rich and charm them into donating to worthy causes, until heartbreak caused her to take a different path. She meets Caleb in a cafe where she waitresses and avoids love at all costs. Caleb is a former active duty Navy SEAL and has been burned by love, as well. They both swear off relationships until they run into one another while he stops in to grab a bite to eat.
Both characters are charming, sweet, relatable and familiar. Very likeable and as an animal lover, I enjoy the involvement of 4 legged characters, as well. Very cutesy comfort read, a lot of fun. Not many surprises but there are a few, and some heat as Caleb and Wynter advance forward from refusing love to a full embrace. Definitely a quick, enjoyable read and I’ll be checking in to the first 2 of this series, as well!

Such an amazing read. I don’t know what exactly I was expecting but man was I captivated by this story. Full of surprises around every turn of the page. Fun, engaging, quick read. This would make a perfect Hallmark movie. I cannot go on as I will spoil this book for someone but I just think everyone who loves Christmas stories should grab this book!
The fourth book in the Buckeye Falls series and it does not disappoint! Each book can be read as a stand-alone but I recommend reading them in order as many of the characters do appear in the subsequent books. This book is wonderful in so many ways. I found it very hard to put it down and spent most of an afternoon finishing it. Quick, easy to read with well developed plot and characters.

This is an intriguing story about Celtic warriors of this time. This story brings readers a look at the world belonging to The Talisman series. Tracker gives readers the story of Riley and Lynnette. When the two meet their lives are turned upside down. I enjoyed seeing the way these two bonded. The two work well together and it was nice to see them fight for what they know is right. I liked seeing how Lynnette grounds Riley and how together there is nothing that can stop them. Their story is fast paced and has strong characters. The author has woven a world full of magic and emotions and I am interested in seeing what will happen next in it.

This is definitely not your typical love story but it was easy to read and I could barely put it down. I read it in one afternoon. I giggled out loud, cried a couple times, and got a bit of a surprise also(always nice). The character development was also nice to follow and see how it ended.

This is an author that I never hesitate to pick up and have enjoyed every book I have read by this author. I enjoy their writing skills and attention to details that give the story a realistic feel. This book is no different. It is an adventure story that is shorter but sure packs a punch in a short amount of time. I found this book to be well written and a book that I read in one sitting. The characters bring the story to life on each page. They made the story easy and entertaining to read. Their characters are strong, determined and connectable. They took me on an adventure that has a touch of romance. This is a fast paced, engaging story that kept me coming back for more. There is great growth as well as chemistry throughout the story. I really enjoyed this book and I highly recommend it.

So.. I have settled on a 3.5-4 star rating for Tracker by Tam Derudder Jackson. Upon picking up this book I was drawn in by the description of the book and the cover but I am unsure what I was actually expecting but it wasn’t what Tracker ended up being. I only found out after reading that this book is a novella and a continuation of another book which was dedicated more to Riley and Lynette which could be why the book felt like it started in the middle of their story and was just a snippet of an event. I believe that I was expecting more old school/adult, more similar to Outlander, but it read more like a young adult/teen novel except for the spicy scenes which were very adult. I’m not saying this was a bad book either. I think now that I have realized what I was getting I enjoyed what I got. This book was a SUPER quick read, like I read it in about 2 hours, and it is quick to get into the action and stays there. It was a wild ride to the end and kept you wondering what was going to happen next. I thought Lynette and Riley were great together and enjoyed how their powers interacted with each other.

Almost and Forever is a sad, beautiful, and hopeful love story. “Hope” is a therapist who is looking for love but isn’t having any luck. It was New Year’s Eve when she realized her boyfriend was not her lifelong love. Her boyfriend was working that night and she was making a wish at her favorite fountain when “Hope” started up a conversation with a man and had a weird draw to him. While they did not say much verbally, the chemistry between the two was electric. However, Adam is thinking about proposing to his girlfriend. We come to find out that both of them found a connection, but it provided a different perspective for both of them. Adam is a successful man who ends up lost until a certain woman comes into his life. There are a lot of ups and downs, secrets, sadness, hope, and so much love in this book. I enjoyed everything about it. The characters were amazing. They each were patient, loving, brave, etc. The book moved quickly and was never boring. Things progressed beautifully and I was excited to see where their journey would end.

This is the third book in the Millers of Marietta series following Riley and Mitch. The series can be read as standalones but I highly recommend reading the series in order to gain a better understand of the characters, past events and the relationships between them. Both Riley and Mitch have their share of trauma which shapes them into who they are, and they still experience issues related to this. Riley, a determined single mother, and Mitch a very protective but sweet teacher. Their paths collide and you can’t help but root for them as they both evolve and grow as the story progresses. I love good character development and this book certainly had that and add in the magical holidays and this is a sweet enjoyable read, perfect for Christmas. The writing style was simple and easy to follow and flowed nicely. This added to my enjoyment of the story, especially when wrapped up in front of the fireplace. I want more from the beautiful world the author has created so I think I’ll be doing a re-read of the series closer to Christmas to immerse myself once again.

This story is heartbreaking and sweet and so full of love and understanding. I love the way this author writes a flawed character in Adam. He may be a tough guy but he’s human and real. With real feelings and problems. I love that he finds himself at rock bottom and is able to rescue himself by asking for help. I love that he has “Hope”. Being a romantic at heart myself I believe everyone should have hope.

These quotes are not only from advice for the characters in this story but they are great pieces of advice for everyday readers! I like to say follow your heart but sometimes you must use your head.

The Man in Black by L.R. Liverpool – Review by Jessica Stone
So to start off this review I will say I have literally NEVER read a western book, but I adore western movies, and that’s what this author did with this book. Reading it was like watching a western film. This author managed to do it all, a little western action, some mystery and intrigue, romance and a little slice of life.
I was thoroughly impressed with this book, the world building and character building that was takes place in this book was done in such a way that rather than be confused of overwhelmed with so much information it all flows together cohesively. I will admit I started out slow it took a good 12 chapters for me to get deep in, but by the time I realized this book had me enthralled I was 5 hours deep.
I enjoyed the down to earth quality’s of the main character “Simon”, I felt myself relating to his questions about what life is supposed to be and the monotony of everyday repetition in a comfortable situation, wondering and knowing more adventure and just, life is out there waiting for me/him/us. He’s a very deep, thoughtful character and listening to his thoughts and worry’s was enthralling.
The romance was soooo good, not too thick and over consuming as some books are and the build and relationship growth to the romance makes it feel very authentic and not rushed, so that was very refreshing, this romance in general was just wonderfully refreshing. I also thoroughly enjoyed the mystery that this author threw in, the kinda of “who done it”, feeling is one of my favorite parts. The intrigue of not knowing who or what is causing these murders, while the main characters navigating this new life, and love and realizing that life can be much more complicated and wild then even he had imagined.
Well if I keep going with my review I might rival this book as far as length goes, but in all seriousness, I highly recommend giving this book a shot, don’t give up, because it does get VERY good. Well done L.R Liverpool! I look forward to digesting more of your work!

i loved Riley and Mitch’s story. Mitch was so grumpy in the other story. This was a sweet story. I loved watching the relationship develop. Seeing these two develop made my heart smile. It was nice to see familiar characters. I have always loved the characters in this series. They have grown so much. This is a story you must read. Go ahead and read the whole series, you won’t be sorry.

This was such a fun and easy to read enemies to lovers office romance! This is a trope that I generally enjoy and this one definitely delivered on my expectations. This story sucks you in from the opening sentences where we meet Lindy who has a dream of being a fashion designer. The only thing standing in her way is Cade Kinglsey, who is her boss. It is clear that this working relationship is going to be anything but fun. However, beneath his prickly facade a lot is hiding and that’s where the fun really begins. I truly enjoyed the characters in this story. Lindy is well developed and she truly just comes to life off of the page. She is a strong female lead, but it isn’t over the top or in your face, it just comes across as a driven individual who is working toward a dream. Cade was also a very interesting character and I’ll be honest I had very mixed feelings about him, but he definitely kept the story interesting. I definitely recommend picking up this quick and fun read!

This is a fun, standalone, contemporary romance. This book was written in multiple POV, which I personally love because I feel it gives the story a lot more depth than if it was written in only one. It lets us get to know each of the characters on a more intimate level and get to know their innermost thoughts and feelings. It also helps them to gain your attention. The author is fantastic at writing believable storylines that really transport you into the middle of it. This is a fantastic story about what happens when friendship and love mix. I definitely recommend picking it up for a fun book to read when you need one! It won’t disappoint!
