This is the story of both one but two women and their men. This is a case of best friends, dating best friends. I can’t even say whose story I like better as they were both equally well done. Well, the story is good but I wasn’t a huge fan of the execution. It does a lot of bouncing around from past to present. I think the story would’ve been as equally powerful, just starting in the past and working your way to the present and current situations. I have read this author’s stories before, and always enjoy them. This one just seems to be a one off for me. Overall, it’s an entertaining story about a couple girls who find their guy and hopefully a forever after.

This is a fast-paced, engaging story that you don’t want to miss out on. Reis’s storyline is perfection and the character development is sublime. I love well-developed characters and both Sung-jin and Cahki grow independently and together nicely. I would classify this as a fantasy, enemies-to-lovers, action novel and it’s done so well. There are so many twists and turns throughout that I was on the edge of my seat and one more chapter turned in to five. It was really hard to put this book down! Definitely a must read!

Cruel Truths is book three in the Tessa and Jordan series by this Author. I Unfortunately, did not read the first two books but I was still able to follow along this story. If you like Enemies to lovers and Contemporary romance this series is for you. Lindy is a fashion designer and just moved and she now has this mean new boss Cade. He really knows how to push her buttons and that drives Lindy crazy. I feel like Lindy having to play Cade’s Fake girlfriend might of softened her heart a little. You will have to read this book to find out how it plays out. I Really enjoyed following Cade and Lindy through their journey. I highly Recommend this book. Cruel Truths: A Grumpy Boss is the third book in T. Christensen’s Tessa and Jordan series. This enemies to lovers forced proximity tale is fun and engaging. Even though it is part of this series it can be read as a standalone. Vanessa left it all behind to follow her dream but is it worth it all when one’s boss is an insufferable alpha a’hole. She just has to pull up her big girl panties and work through it. Right? And the fun begins. Cade knew she was meant to be his right from the start, but she has other ideas. What she doesn’t realise is that it is only a matter of time before she will be his. Bring it on! They say there is a fine line between hate and love, and I loved the push pull that was between the characters. I loved the barbs, the wit, the banter and everything in between, all in the name of love. House of Blood and Whispers by Natalina Reis is an epic and immersive romantic fantasy that really showcases the authors masterful worldbuilding and storytelling talents. I know that I can always count on Ms. Reis to deliver an engrossing and enjoyable read, and this book was all that and then some. It turned out to be one of my all-time favourites of her works, so far- and that’s saying something because Ms. Reis has some truly fantastic books to her name. Apart from the incredible world-building and superb characters, there is so much more happening in the story, from action, adventure, danger, drama, romance, politics, corruption, agendas, intrigue, secrets, lies, emotion, and high stakes. The book also comes with a map that really helped to bring everything to life and helped me visualise the world so much better. As always, Ms. Reis writes beautifully, and her talent is very apparent throughout the book. This is pretty captivating reading. The premise is not only intriguing, but it has also been executed beautifully. The author did a great job of infusing quite a lot of emotion, tension, and romance into her story that had me avidly reading the whole way through. The inclusion of the glossary of the translations for some of the words used in the story, also helped and added another dimension to my reading experience. I can’t wait to get my hands on ‘House of Blood and Pirates’ the prequel to this book- which is set to be coming soon. Colour me excited!!! Happy Reading…

This was a great 5 star read. I love Rockstar romance and once I started I didn’t want to put it down. Ceri is getting married but she has one problem, she is still married to Alex. Overall I really enjoyed this book. The characters were great and it was nice seeing the characters from the earlier book. The author does a great job with her writing and pulls you right in. This was an enjoyable book. I did appreciate the warning in the front of the book about things that may trigger a reader. There were several moments where I found myself laughing out loud while reading this. Cahki is a force to be reckoned with and her quips are unexpected at times. There were times I wanted to smack her or the Prince. The story was well-written and enjoyable!

House of Blood and Whispers is a wonderfully written Fantasy Romance that I absolutely loved reading. This author has quickly become one of my favorite Fantasy Romance authors. Her attention to detail and wonderful character makes it impossible to put the book down. Let me just say what a cover I can’t stop staring at its intriguing. This is a fast-paced story that takes on quite the journey. Can their kingdom be saved even when it seems everything is stacked against them? I don’t want to give away anything. 4.5 stars House of Blood and Whispers by Natalina Reis is a fantasy tale. I always jump to grab Natalina’s new book when I see it is out as her stories are refreshing and unique. Natalina has a way of telling a story that brings her narrative to life. The non-stop action and enough twists and turns to will keep you glued to the pages and invested in the outcome. There is lots of emotional turmoil in this story yet there is also beauty. The storyline is intriguing and kept you on your toes as we journey along with their trials and tribulations of escaping a tyrannical ruler and freeing not only themselves but it’s people as well. I loved the main characters and how even in the midst of the cruelty of the world as they know it, they were able to adapt and find happiness. Cahki was brought to a world where a despicable Emperor resides and expects to be obeyed but he made a mistake when he captured her. She will not go down without a fight. She has hope that freedom will be won. House of Blood and Whispers is a twisty romantic fantasy where violence and viciousness are commonplace, a place where their survival is at stake and danger is around every corner. A world that is controlled with an iron fist, cruelty, arrogance and lies, now becomes one of a fight for their survival. I am interested to see what Natalina gives us next.

From the beginning of Wild Lavender, I was kept on my toes, wondering what was going to happen next. The prologue had me hooked and only got better from there. Wild Lavender has a little bit of everything. First, it’s more of a period piece, set around Medieval times, so the views on marriage and loyalty are a little different. Second, the sadistic, cruel actions of Anna’s husband Roger might elicit a trigger warning. However, I think this part is necessary in the storyline to show the hardships and misery Anna endures and overcomes. The book also has danger, adventure, romance, politic, and a bit of the mystical. The characters are realistic, flawed, believable, and loveable (even those we love to hate). Overall, Nicole E. Kelleher’s world building is top notch, from her vivid physical descriptions of the kingdom to the often heartbreaking accounts of the characters’ thoughts and feelings. I can’t wait to read the next book in the Heart and Hand Series!

This was an enjoyable read. I got hooked from the start and had a hard time putting it down. This story has so much going on like romance, angst, violence, murder, love, politics and so much more. The author brought these characters to life and I was feeling emotions right along with them. This is a great story that I enjoyed reading!

It was a good story with a good plot. I enjoyed it. I was intrigued by the mention of his boss’ story so I might go back and read that one.

Isla Vaughn does it again. She has created an absolutely fantastic story with a fast paced plot and fantastic character development. This is the continuation of Aspen and Phoenix’s story and it picks right up where Cruel Hate left off. It is completely necessary to read the beginning of the series before reading this one. With this you are taken on a completely dramatic roller coaster. Watching how Aspen and Phenix interact and deal with every challenge that is thrown their way. In this story, there is absolutely more challenges and definitely there were times where I found myself truly wondering how things would work out. I recommend reading this book and every single one of Isla Vaughn’s books.

Morgana Bevan has become one of my favorite authors. I was definitely excited when I saw this new release. This definitely was worth my excitement. This is a fantastic enemies to lovers story. Ceri and Alex were lovers once and apparently got married in Fiji. However, Ceri definitely doesn’t remember marrying Alex and this is getting in the way of her planned marriage. Alex isn’t willing to sign the paperwork though, until she is positive she doesn’t want to be with him anymore. Ceri and Alex have amazing development as characters. It was interesting to see how they each grew and developed, which was very similar to how I would imagine they would evolve in the real world. I definitely enjoyed watching them grow in their relationship and understanding of one another. I definitely recommend reading this! Its fantastic with an excellent plot and character development.

I was obsessed with this book from the blurb alone and this only intensified when reading. The plot was brilliant and the way it was written, I have no words. I was drawn in immediately and the wonderful way the author narrated this, created a brilliant atmosphere and I could not put this down. I loved the way Cahki and Sung-jin created an uneasy alliance and learnt to work together, the journey as they found their footing felt believable and realistic. While I enjoyed both characters immensely, Cahki stood out to me. She’s fierce. A strong and fearless character willing to do what’s needed for those she loves. I love a character with good development, so I enjoyed seeing other sides to her as the story progressed, she’s not just a warrior quick to resort to violence, there’s more depth there and I loved it. I was rooting for the pair almost immediately, not only romantically but also in achieving their goals and this had me on the edge of my seat on multiple occasions, hoping for their success. This is the first book I’ve read from this author, but it certainly won’t be the last, if their other books are even remotely as enjoyable as this one, I’ve found my next fixation!

Wow this was an amazing read. I loved every minute of it. The author’s writing was captivating and I was pulled into the book right from the beginning. This story is fast paced with a tyrant Emperor, his son trying to save his people by overthrowing him and a woman who was supposed to just aid him but who ends up turning his world upside down.
When Cahki was kidnapped to become part of the Emperor’s harem it was a decision that would end up haunting the Emperor for ever. When the Emperor’s son Sung-jin finds her after she escapes her captors he comes up with a play to protect her while also having a spy on his father. All he has to do is marry her. But with the hatred and contempt Cahki has towards him he is risking his own life by treating her. The only way Cahki know she can survive is to work with the prince and be a pawn to help him take down his dad. But what happens when the fake marriage becomes something more. What happens when the fake feelings become real?
This story had my on the edge of my seat as together they have to work hard to find a way to outsmart the Emperor. I love Cahki’s character. She is such a strong and determined woman. She is fiercely independent and will think nothing of resorting to violence to protect herself and the people she cares about. As their story progresses it is lovely to see her vulnerable side come out and the transformation is beautiful. There were parts of this story where my heart was in my throat and my heart went out to them for the dangerous situations they find themselves in. But their strength and determination was so amazing to read. I honestly couldn’t put this story down, I needed to know what was going to happen but at the same time I didn’t want it to end.

Sins of the Father is the 3rd book in the McIntire County Series. This installment follows new deputy Jolie Murdoch. For Jolie, law enforcement runs in her veins. Her father was the previous sheriff and her cousins are Nic and Cassy from the previous books. New on the force, Jolie is assigned the case of a missing girl, but then the girl’s father is found dead. Now she is tasked with not only finding the girl, if she is still alive, but finding the murderer of the father as well. Are they connected, and if so how? Who is to blame in one, or both, of the cases? Xavier came to town to escape his past, but when he is found over the dead body, he is suspect number one. It doesn’t help that he has no memory of how he got there, or what led up to that point. Sins of the father is told from different character POV so you get “inside the heads” of each one, and can really relate to them in some aspects. I love the McIntire series and can’t wait to read the next one. 5 out of 5 for me.

This is an amazing book. Cahki starts out being kidnapped and sent to another Empire to marry Prince Sung-Jin. Oh, from there the adventures begin as they try to save the empire. I found this book to be fast-paced and action-packed. I have enjoyed everything this author has previously written. This type of book is new and I loved the pace of the story along with the characters. They are feisty and determined to save the kingdom. It’s a wonderful read that I would recommend to anyone.

I first encountered the main character as a supporting character in a previous book in this series. I enjoyed learning more about her. It was also nice to revisit the small town in which this series is set. What I liked most about the main character is that she doesn’t have it all together. She doesn’t have it all figured out, and she is a total klutz- a fact which often creates interesting and/ or embarrassing situations.

I enjoyed reading this historical romance story. This is not my first book by this author but it is one of my favorites. I found this book to be well written and hard to put down. A story about Vanessa and what she finds when she gets home. Her aunt by marriage is running the household and her guardian that used to stay in the background has now made his presence. What happens from here, you don;t want to miss. The characters are strong, relatable and have great growth throughout. I enjoyed watching what happens with their chemistry. This is a fast paced story that is hard to put down. A story that is engaging to the end. I really enjoyed reading this book. I highly recommend this book.
This is an author that I have loved reading from the first book I picked up. I enjoy her writing style and attention to details that make her stories pop. This book is no different. This is a well written story that is hard to put down. The characters pulled you into the story from the start and kept me engaged to the end. They are connectable, strong characters that have great growth throughout which made the story easy to read. This is a story about saving a kingdom when the odds are against you. This is a story you don’t want to miss. It is fast paced and entertaining to read. I really enjoyed this story and I highly recommend it.
