This book is a continuum from the first two books, so highly recommend you stat from the beginning. This book took a little but of a turn, from the Kodiak who was the protector now Tamaska doing the protecting and the rescue. But at what cost will it cost her to do so? This book like the last ones was filled with fantasy, paranormal romance, supernatural, action, danger, chemistry, mystery, suspense, adventure and so much more it will be hard for you to put down. I highly recommend this series it really hooks you in from the development of the characters to the suspense of the story line.

This book is amazing. It grabs you from the start and the steam between the characters is off the charts. You will find yourself feeling all the emotions that the characters. It is the tale of the commoner and the prince. Can they have their love or will it be ruined by everything standing in their way? However, that isn’t everything there is about this book. There is steam, intrigue, mystery, suspense, steam, love, vengeance, and of course steam. This was a very quick read for me and is the first in the series. I am excited to read the second book to see what happens. You won’t be able to stop reading this book once you start so please keep that in mind when you begin. You will be swept away with the charm of the prince and the meet cute the they have on the beach. How they fall for each other without any preconceived notions, just plain simple attraction; is what really drew me into the book. It is very well written that you can’t really tell which author wrote what part. It is like they were sharing the same brain while writing this. This is book 2 in the series and highly suggest that you read the first book before you dive in here. Even thou there is enough information thought the book that you could, this one starts off right were book one left us standing. This is were Tamaska finds out that Kodiak is a shaft sifter or to be exact a werewolf. Something Tamaska doesn’t like shifters, but she finds herself still having feelings for him and can’t stop thinking of Kodiak. Once again, this story is filled with fantasy, supernatural beings, a quest, action, adventure, danger, drama, chemistry, suspense, and so much more that it kept me reading. Just like the first book this one took a hold of me and wouldn’t let me go till I was done and know what had happened in the story. This book did not disappoint and I’m so glad there was another book to the first, highly recommend this series.

I was extremely surprised over this book. I usually don’t do the romance books but this one being supernatural I figured id give it shot. And this book kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time. I couldn’t read it fast enough to know what was going to happen next. The book was well written and took a hold of me right away, the writing of this book was so well described that it really felt like I was standing there listening in on everything that was happening. This book was filed with drama, chemistry, action, suspense, murder, supernatural beings, and so much more. Tamaska is and independent woman who is strong-willed, stubborn, hardworking, and does what she wants and doesn’t listen to anyone. Which I totally related with her the most. Kodiak was hired to protect her and really doesn’t want to and is stubborn about it too. The love hate relationship these two have was very interesting to read, because we all know they liked each other but felt the need to not show it. this book was extremely good, and I can’t wait to read the next one.

5 Star’s A Forever Kind of Thing by Carrie Thomas and Melinda Harris
A Forever Kind of Thing is a wonderfully written Contemporary Romance/YA that once I started reading I couldn’t stop reading and read it in one long sitting. I’m new to these authors but im already a fan. Their style of writing and attention to detail made me feel like I was back in high school dealing with all the things that are high school. Their characters are relatable, fully developed and made the story come to life and made it fun to read. Mina and Wes have been best friends since fifth grade. Mina was the target of being bullied by many and didn’t feel like she belonged. But Wes saved her in more than one way that is until he up and left with no goodbye or nothing. Lots changed in five years and when Wes reappears senior year she finds herself struggling to keep up the appearance. I truly enjoyed reading this book and fell in love with both Wes and Mina. I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next. I look forward to reading more from both these authors.

What little girl didn’t grow up loving fairytales? This is definitely a mature version of one of those. I enjoyed this book, it had everything I enjoy most from a book. An excellent story, relateable characters, steamy scenes, and all the drama! I cannot wait to read more in this series. Bridget has been burned by past relationships, after being dealt the ultimate burn when she discovered her fiancé was cheating on her she goes on the trip that should have been her honeymoon with her best friend. Isla is a phenomenal writer and in this series she has created the perfect characters who keep you coming back for me. They hook you in and don’t let you go until the next page and their stories continue to the next book so you are anxiously waiting for the next book to find out what happens next. I definitely do not recommend missing a single book, not only because they are so phenomenal, but also because the each book provides context for the next. Which in my opinion just makes this series so special. This book is Phoenix’s and Aspen’s story. Which is so very complicated. But yet it is so good in all the right ways. Phoenix and Aspen find themselves in an incredibly complex situation yet watching them handle it kept me turning the pages so very fast. This book definitely kept me wanting more so I will be anxiously awaiting the next one! I definitely recommend picking up this series!

This is not my first Winter Austin book and it definitely won’t be my last. When I open a Winter Austin book, I know that I am going to get fantastic suspense that will keep me on the edge of my seat until the very end. I also know that I am going to read amazing characters and that the detectives and police in it are going to add an extra layer of entertainment. Atonement does not disappoint at all with this. Austen once again has crafted fantastic characters and a plotline that does not disappoint. This story also features PTSD and Winter Austin does a fantastic job of providing background information about PTSD. Nic is such a well written multifaceted character. I found that the amount of depth written to her was amazing and made her extra interesting. I absolutely loved this book and I definitely recommend it!

Cruel Hate: A Dark College Sports Romance (Hidden Valley Elite Book 5)
I am so completely and totally obsessed with this series. I’m not sure why I am as deep as I am, but want more and I count the days until the next book releases. If you haven’t read at the very least Cruel Start then stop here and go read that first, it’s the prelude to this book. But I recommend starting with the very first book Savage Start, you can thank me later.
Phoenix needs to learn to trust people outside of his brother and cousins. I think if he let go some of what’s bothering him he wouldn’t be as angry and that would go a long way.
So many things happen in this book and we learn a little more about Phoenix, his grandfather and rest of his immediate family not including Damon and Cole. I could not put this book down and thankfully I had a nice long weekend so I could stay up late reading.
This book ends on a cliffhanger which usually bothers me but not in this instance because I know when I will have the next book in my kindle and ready to read.

I wasn’t even a full chapter in when I knew this book was going to be a struggle to put down. I was entirely invested in Mia’s life and if she was going to regain her friendship with Mitch and grieve Xavier. I couldn’t wait for Jeff to text her again and knew that Shelly or Granny would have great words of wisdom for her.
This book is so well written that it’s easy to sit down and binge chapter after chapter without realizing time going by around you. The twists and turns kept me so interested, I couldn’t help but continue reading.
This book is a great reminder that things aren’t always what they seem and you should be honest & brave instead of waiting for the “right time”.

Rogue Wolf is Book Three in the Protector Wolf Shifter Series. This book picks up where the last one left off so if you have not yet read the first two books in the series, I highly recommend that you do. The first two books give Kodiak and Tamaska’s back stories, how they met, how the vampires obtained the Blood Opal and why Tamaska and Kodiak are so heavily invested in retrieving it from the vampires. It is a paranormal romance with shifters, vampires, drama, action, suspense, mystery, intrigue, passion, chemistry, and danger lurking around every corner.
Tamaska is in hiding with Kodiak’s wolf pack from the vampires who are determined to get to her. For reasons unbeknownst to her the vampires need to mix her blood with the Blood Opal which will give them special powers. Kodiak will do anything to protect Tamaska, but his wolf pack does not feel the same way as he does about Tamaska. As far as they are concerned, she brought trouble to the pack that resulted in bloodshed and the loss of several members of their pack. Out of loyalty to Kodiak the pack reluctantly agrees to protect Tamaska but have a difficult time accepting her into their pack. Kodiak is trying to become Alpha of the wolf pack so he still must prove himself worthy of the title of Alpha. Tamaska could prove to be detrimental to this if his desire to protect her is perceived as weakness by the pack.
Tamaska is anxious to be turned into a wolf shifter but does not understand all the complications that the transformation process entails. Nobody, including, Kodiak will explain the transformation process to her because they want to protect her. What she does not realize is that she may die during the transformation process. She is determined to be transformed and become accepted by the pack but fails to try to understand how the pack works. To be accepted into the wolf pack and become one of them she must follow the rules of the Alpha, who will soon be Kodiak. Tamaska is used to being strong and independent, so she goes against Kodiak’s wishes, and this risks everything he was worked for as well as her acceptance into the pack. Tamaska’s stubbornness almost proves to be fatal when she does not listen to Kodiak and is attacked by a vampire. Lucky for her, Kodiak rescues her before it is too late. When Kodiak is captured by the vampires Tamaska is determined to save him but to do so she must be transformed into a wolf shifter. Will she find someone who will transform her? Will she survive the transformation process? Will she be able to save Kodiak?
This was another phenomenal book in this series! The author does a great job creating an engaging storyline with vivid scenes that fully immerse you into the story with the characters. Tamaska was strong, determined, stubborn, pigheaded, and independent to a fault. These characteristics almost cost her life when she went against Kodiak’s wishes. She felt that she could protect herself without stopping to think about how dangerous the situation was. Not only was she risking her own life but those of Kodiak’s wolf pack as well. Kodiak was strong, smart, loyal, and a born leader. He wanted to protect both Tamaska and his wolf pack at all costs. It was up to him to make the best decisions for his pack, which included Tamaska, but she failed to understand how pack mentality worked. Both Tamaska and Kodiak failed horribly at communicating properly with one another. She felt that she could protect herself and Kodiak felt he was protecting Tamaska by keeping things from her. It was interesting to see how strong Tamaska truly was when it came time to save Kodiak. A great read that kept me hooked until the end. I highly recommend this book!

Wow, this book was an explosion of action. Tamaska is at the heart of the shifter attack. She will do anything to keep the shifters safe, especially Kodiak. The vampires are on a rampage to get to her.
Tamaska needs to learn her place with the shifters and as always she is going to have to learn the hard way. If she wants to be part of the pack and not be exiled she better learn really fast. Even Kodiak is at his wits end.
Death, vengeance, loyalty, powers of the Blood Opal, and genetics all play a role in this fabulous third book. I need more of these characters.
Fantastic world building by the author and the writing follows seamlessly.

This one really goes on a ride! I enjoy Willow and the path she takes. I am mot a fan of witches as they are usually so sneaky. Willow surprised me. She seemed weak but shockingly she has a backbone. Campania is a master vampire with some pretty impressive powers. He seems a little cold and one sided until “it” happens. You know. That moment when he realizes he would do ANYTHING for her. That changed my mind about him. It was nice to see the characters from the previous stories. Their sass still reminds me of their stories and fun times. Overall another good installment to this series

Liz’s Road Trip by Bernadette Marie is an emotional yet hopeful little gem of a book!!!
The book opens on a pretty sad note. Liz Evans has just lost her beloved grandmother. As she is going through her things, she finds a letter that will completely change her life. Her Gran wants her to take her back to her home, in Florida. When she gets there, a mystery man, Mark, will tell her all about the Gran that she didn’t know. So, she embarks on a trip with Gran and Gran’s cat, Cosmo, that will possibly end up being an adventure that could finally lead her to a forever romance and a life filled with joy beyond her imagination!
At times, Liz was extremely frustrating for me. Her moods could swing from hot to cold, especially in her burgeoning relationship with Mark. I wanted to shake some sense into her, but as I sat back and digested more of her story, I began to understand her more and have sympathy for her. She just lost the woman who sacrificed so much to raise her after Liz’s mother died. In addition, she discovers that her grandmother had many secrets and had a life she knew nothing about. I imagine that Mark knowing those secrets impacted her relationship with him as well. It was all those complicated and complex emotions that made the book so good.
There were so many reasons I loved this book. I liked that Marie pulled on my heartstrings and had me really invested in the characters, especially Liz. Gran was not physically present in the book, but she played such a pivotal role in the plot and pacing of the book. She was still teaching Liz lessons after she was gone. My favorite thing about the book was the growth that Liz went through. She began the book as pretty self-centered, but by the end of the book, a lot of that self-centeredness was gone. Most importantly, she went from just living a good life to a life well-lived, and that is exactly what Gran wanted for her all along.
I haven’t read a book by Bernadette Smalls, but this one won’t be my last one. She is a very talented writer who knows exactly how to pull her readers smack dab in the middle of her story. If you like a sweet romance full of emotions, you should definitely give this one a try!!!!

Isla has done it again! This series is SO GOOD!!! I haven’t read them all (YET!), but all the ones I have read, have hooked and reeled me in so quick! You don’t HAVE to read the others in the set to read this one, BUT you WILL want to! Trust me!!!! There is also a prequel to this book that gives you a small intro into Phoenix and Aspen’s story. Again you don’t HAVE to read it, but again I would totally recommend it!! You will not be sorry buy reading them all. You will thank me (or better yet the author) when you do! This book is also NOT a stand alone. There is another book to their story after this one (book 6). Okay so to the book!…. Phoenix is a football QB superstar. Just starting in college football with his brother (Shane) and his cousins (Cole and Damon), who he played with and dominated in high school with (You can read more about them in the other books!), his goals are clear. NFL here he comes! Until one night over the summer, throws his plans for a huge loop. Aspen has goals of her own. Surf board shop with her sister. She designs the boards and her sister designs surf clothing. Neither one want or need a relationship. Having bad role models in the love department growing up, they both don’t want anything to do with relationships. They both have to stay focused on school and their dreams. Well Miss Aspen decides to give up her v-card that summer before college and to both their surprise she gets pregnant!! Yep total wrench in both their plans. Now what can they do? He plans a fake relationship to keep the other girls off his back and she agrees to keep her parents off hers’. What could go wrong there, right? Well minus the fact that they can’t be in the same room with each other without fighting!! This book ends on a cliffhanger that will have you RUNNING to get the next book in the series. Trust me when I say, this series is that good!! I can’t wait to read the rest!! With a fake relationship, sports, a pregnancy, and plenty of back and forth banter you will love this enemies to lovers bully romance. Phoenix had dyslexia and needed a tutor. Aspen took over his tutoring after she found Noel reading his assignment to him. She read the assignment out loud and made recordings for him to use when they couldn’t align their schedules. Aspen felt alone during the pregnancy because her parents only told her about abortion clinics and didn’t seem to care otherwise. Aspen was afraid after her last doctor’s appointment. Something was possibly wrong with the baby. She told Phoenix, and he said he would be there at the appointment. The doctor performed the amniocentesis, 2 weeks of waiting for the results was stressful on both sides. Where was Shane? What would the test results reveal? Would Phoenix really throw his fight? Isla Vaughn continues to build suspense in the fifth book in the Hidden Valley Elite Series. Cruel Hate takes on a nefarious feeling when Phoenix’s grandfather becomes involved. Shane’s behavior was off so much that even Damon and Cole had noticed. Aspen was worried about how long she could continue attending school when she had the baby. She had already set in her mind that Phoenix wasn’t reliable and that she was on her own.The end of this book left me stunned and eager to read the sequel. The story deserves a 5-star rating. The intense drama will appeal to readers who like romantic stories with a plot beyond just steamy scenes.

Isla Vaugh did it again! If you’ve read the previous books in this series you knew Cruel Hate would get your blood pumping and she did not disappoint! Phoenix and Aspen are connected forever after a one night stand left Aspen pregnant. Now in college, they decide to start a fake relationship that should be mutually beneficial. Phoenix is still a hot head with NFL dreams. Aspen is an artist with dreams of opening her own business. A baby may complicate things, but both are determined to be their best for the baby. Cruel Hate also brings in some family drama that was previously only alluded to. The cliff hanger means I need to read the next installment now! Can’t wait to see how their HEA happens!

This is Book 1 of Phoenix’s Duet (there is a prequel Cruel Start). Even though this is the beginning of the duet, it is the 5th book in the series. It is not necessary to read the previous books, but I highly suggest you do as they are interconnected and will give you 10x the reading experience and understanding of Phoenix.
Readers hold on to your hearts and stomachs because you are about to go on an insanely intoxicating rollarcoaster. Phoenix and Aspen’s relationship is part toxic part pure infatuation. They both desperately do not want to have the lives of their parents, but it seems that at every turn, Phoenix and Aspen are at each other throats.
It was never in either of their cards to have a baby, and definitely not a baby with someone so infuriating or distracting to their plans of a future. They also both can’t deny that they are extremely attracted to the other. As well as an all-consuming passion. They consume eachothers every thoughts. But is that enough to let their guard down around one another?
Everyone seems to notice the way they feel about each other, except the other person. They both keep lying to themselves that they, in fact, want nothing to do with the other, but yet can’t keep them off their mind. Their entire relationship or should I say “fake relationship” is very Hot & Cold.
There are so many things that the other does not know about them. They quickly are learning there is more to their character than what they originally judged them as. But so there are so many secrets, hidden daggers in their families, and so so much trauma. Will they ever make it past any of that? Are they doomed to recreate their parents’ mistakes? Or maybe even worse ones?
The ending will leave you gasping for air at the intensity of the cliffhanger. I can not wait for book 2 of the duet to see where their lives and relationship are headed!!!!

This is the third book in the Protector Wolf Shifter Series.
Tamaska and Kodiak are both still having a push-pull contest of whether they want to be together.
It is becoming abundantly clear that Tamaska is not safe anywhere – even with the wolf shifters. The vampires will stop at nothing to get her, more specifically, her blood. The Wolf shifters early on experiencing an intense loss, making them th scramble to regroup. Why do the vampires want Tamaska? Will Tamaska and Kodiak finish their bond connection? It seems the only option is to turn Tamaska into a wolf shifter – that is, if she can survive the transformation.
I absolutely love the storyline, but …. I am not a fan of the characters themselves. It looked like it was getting better in book 2, but they just reverted to their old ways in book 3. I find both Tamaska and Kodiak extremely annoying and whiney. They both want control, but neither are willing to give even an ounce of submission. Also, several times, the author repeated things that had just happened. There were also things that were “revealed,” but technically, they had already been revealed or uncovered in book 1 or 2. Several times, characters asked questions that they should have already known the answer to. Also, there are so many things that have happened to Tamaska, yet she tells no one… I understand keeping some of the things secret because the author can not just explain everything all at once. But it just made Tamaska seem like she could care less about literally everything – her life, ancestors, the wolf shifters, and even the vampires.
I did enjoy the cliffhanger at the end, and I am looking forward to reading book 4. I would love to see more of Ash. She is by far my favorite character in the book…

I was thrilled to get to finally read the third book in this series! I swear they just keep getting better and better. Tamaska is really coming into her own and seeing her character continue to grow is so amazing to see. She is trying so hard to fit in with the pack, while still trying to figure things out in her relationship with Kodiak. There was definitely a lot going on in this book and it has been my favorite so far in the series. I am so excited to see what happens in book 4. If you love shifters, vampires, action, romance, and fantasy this book and series is for you!

Before I say anything about this story, let’s start with reading this in the order this series is meant to be read. This is one of the most highly explosive stories I have read in a long time. This is Phoenix and Aspen’s story. Let me tell you these two are the strongest and most dedicated people I know. Nothing comes easy for them. School, families, friends and doing what is right, all comes with a price. So let me ask, can this couple get through this? Will they withstand all of the obstacles laid out for them? Will their love be stronger than what they have both seen in their own family? The story has so many twists and turns. It is a fast paced page turner for sure. I will give you NO Spoilers as you need to read this book to believe the strength Phoenix and Aspen have. This author has always been on my favorite list, this one puts her at the top. As here I sit waiting for the next book in this series. I love this series and look forward to reading the next installment.

Antoine has been alive for centuries by being a hybrid, a being that is both angel/vampire with the duty to protect humans from demons and other supernatural threats.
Not only does he have a demon that continuously causes havoc named Gustav who would turn the innocent humans into demons but he also has to find his mate.
“If I didn’t connect with my mate soon, I’d die. And if I died, she’d follow soon after.”
Have I seen this plot before? Yes. Was I still hooked? Of course. The title alone caught my interest and an angel/vampire hybrid character is not something I have read lately. I thought I knew where this story was going. I was so wrong! The plot twist is the reason why I will be recommending the novel to my friends.
I love the cover and I love that he has black wings.
I see that this is book two. I hope there is a book three that I can look forward to reading.

I was immediately excited to read this debut novel after reading the blurb. My attention was quickly grabbed when I started. I enjoyed reading about Mitch and Mia and how their long-term friendship turned into romance and everything that led then to that point.

I have read a handful of Gwyn McNamee’s book now and I would definitely say she is one of my favorite authors! The Reluctant Suitor was a great read. The book was a fast paced book. It was action packed. It was a good romance story. This is a series, however you could read it alone and be able to follow the story. I do feel like if you start from book one that you would understand the characters more. The world building and characters was well thought out.
